The longest day offers the deepest shadows,
A bit of safety in the sun celebration.
Frigg's Hearth is warm but I do not feel welcome.

At times like Hod, my presence is background imagery.
A footnote to something more tasteful.
I won't be the token tranny to be laughed at,
I'd rather be alone.

To me, litha is a reminder of years gone past
hiding myself in the expectations of others.
So I do not celebrate it anymore.
I await the cold wind blowing once more.
