Jack is getting a good rest for the first time on this alien planet, as unfamiliar stars drift overhead, and the three moons are illuminated by the afterglow of the red sun’s bright light, giving the night a shade similar to that of a sunset.

Far away, the alien lifeforms that attacked Jack have finally tracked him down. A rather large scout enters the council’s chambers, spitting out the report’s file for the council “It’s resting under some rubble.” A general, scarred by their many close encounters with death, is wary “Are you sure? It’s not just hiding?” The scout, inexperienced, fumbles “We think- uh, Well…” An elder of the council, known for their grey skin, uncharacteristic of their species, is ready “Well, does it matter if it’s sleeping? We know where it is, and it doesn’t seem to be moving, we should finish it off already!” The general, asserting their large stature rebuts “No! we must be certain, and besides, that’s not the only thing the report mentioned, it also said it has grown much bigger than before!” An older general, long since retired cuts them off “No, no, that is precisely why we must finish it now, if we let it grow and larger it could become impossible to deal with, and judging how it seemingly appeared out of nowhere, this is only early into its growth, what could we do to it in a week? Let alone a year! With this growth, there no option to just continue observing it. The only thing we can do is throw everything we have at it, or fall when we have no way left to combat it…”

Jack is rudely awakened. By an explosive. Directly in his face. J: “AGGRH!” “I-I- I CAN’T SEE.” Jack is temporarily blinded by a mortar shell delivered courtesy of the head of a fleet of vertical-tube shaped ships about 100 meters away, with only the one at the front armed with a larger cannon then the rest, as three aliens struggle to reload it. Jack, in a panic, shoots out his breath weapon, now enhanced by atomic power, cutting through the middle of the fleet, taking out the mortar ship and the 4 directly behind it. Encouraged by the sounds of the exploding ships, Jack stretches out of the rubble, clearing his eyes as the remaining fleet spreads out towards him.

Just in time, Jack manages to regain sight as he’s pelted with tens upon tens of tiny darts, some going high and bouncing off his armor, the rest sticking into him like burrs.

Finally seeing his opponents, Jack lets out a high-hitched roar in pure anger and charges the ships to his right side, quickly diving into the water and almost dodging another volley, but as he dives he finds out that the bottoms of the ships are lined with sharp blades curved along it and angled downwards.

Luckily, he has a solution, he punches a ship, using the armor plating on the back of his hands and arms to block the blades and create a fist sized hole in it, then, using that hole, he grabs hold and uses it to bash the other ships as the continued volleys bounce off his back and head armor.

However, he is soon met with a small problem, as the passengers of the ship he was oh so rudely using as a glove have begun to crawl out and cut at the unarmored bits on his hand, leaving small gashes along it, and drawing blood. It takes some effort, but Jack manages to wrench his hand out of the ship and literally swat the aliens attached to it. While he is doing this, he catches a glimpse of a ship from the fleet stealthily sailing away.

Thinking ahead, Jack pretends he doesn’t see it, as he angles himself flat with the water and readies his breath weapon, but as he’s about to fire, a small boulder hits him atop the head, looking up, Jack notices a small armada of what can only be described as living blimps, there are little baskets attached to a group of the baloonys, keeping them afloat as they drop rocks almost three times the alien’s size at him… Jack simply goes underwater and aims his breath weapon straight up, making out the baloonys wavy forms through the water, and fires in a slow, circular pattern that ‘pops’ the baloonys, causing the surviving passengers to fall into Jacks waiting grasp as he readies his claws.

After dealing with the air units, Jack turns back to the remaining fleet, who have begun charging at him, and as soon as he turns his face, they start unloading, going for his eyes and stomach area, a few of them plink of his armor before he hold his hands over his eyes and retreats behind his wrecked sleeping area, aiming his mouth at where he believes they are, he charges again, and this time, manages to fire, making a wide sweeping attack that cuts through the rocky island and destroying them and their hopes.

But Jack’s not done yet.
