Jack, was not done. Due to a coward, or perhaps a messenger. Jack was going to find where the aliens lived. Right now he was slowly swimming behind the departed ship, deep enough underwater that the moons’ lights were darkened, where the water looks like blood, and indeed, it would soon be filled with it.

The ship was the last survivor, they and their crew knew it as soon as the monster started using their fellow ships as weapons, they had known it was going to be intelligent, but not THAT intelligent, they knew no matter what, they had to warn their home to start preparing for the worst, if that thing put two and two together, they would all be in major trouble if it had any substantial sense of smell or tracking ability. They just hoped that their allies would survive long enough to buy them enough time to start evacuating the city.

It was just breaching daylight, the red dwarf star leisurely cruising over the horizon, as the alien’s disk shaped city came into Jack’s vision. It was a beautiful thing really, the top a lively city, with aliens crawling up and down various tube shaped buildings, and the bottom an assortment of various industries, including an elaborate piping system that ran through the entire district, seemingly serving an essential purpose, through Jack could not determine what that was.

However, that mattered little to Jack, these things had messed with him for the last time, and went way to far, pausing to take a look at his status, he noted he must’ve been traveling for about 2 hours straight from the growth he had gotten, a whole .4 meters, during that time, he had taken any opportunity to dislodge any of the little darts lodged in his sides, though there were a few he couldn’t seem to dislodge.

Whatever these things were, they certainly knew how to annoy him, and now, he was going to pay them back, plus some, and also complete that last objective.

As they got closer to the city, the crew never though they would be so happy to see it, normally an over-crowded mad-land, it now looked like a place of safety. The captain opted to rush to the council as quickly as possible, ignoring any standard procedures and busting through the doors. They are met with the glares of almost every member practically daring them to try and speak, until an old and scarred figure leaned forward “Well, from that look, things didn’t go as planned.” Broken out of their fear-driven stupor, the captain bolts awake “No! The monster had intelligence unknown to our scouts, it completely decimated my fleet in a matter of minutes!” The old general was shocked at the captain’s reply, but slightly skeptical “How’d it kill them so easily, were our scouts off on the range of its attacks?” The captain, slightly flustered replies “I-I’m not sure about that, but what it did do was dive at us then proceed to bash through a ship’s hull and use it as a weapon. Not to mention it seems like the monster’s upper body is tougher than the rest of it, it was able to almost completely neutralize the first barrage by blocking most of them with its back.” The old general, expecting an over-exaggeration, rather than a detailed report, was at a loss for words “… So we never stood a chance…” the newer general stepped forward, making their piece known “Wait, so what do we do?” the oldest one on the council mumbled something, then spoke up “We run.”

Jack was debating on trying to climb the city and rampage around, but was honestly just too annoyed right now to really consider that for more than a couple seconds. J: “Y’know what? I’m just gonna laser it, hell! It even has a perfect little cut here line!” Mapping out the distances in his head, he started to fire his beam just as the city started moving, but this only saved the front part of the city, the rest got cut clean in half, and then some. “I donna, I kinda expected a boom.” “Hmm, I’m sure if I hit something on that bottom part it’ll go boom.” Firing his breath weapon once again, his suspicions were confirmed as a massive steam-explosion rocked the pseudo-island, removing any connection the two parts had, and causing massive damage to bottom, leaving only some pipes left sinking to the bottom, as the actual city part slowly followed. “I suppose I could try some stomping now, would feel right to destroy a city without some stomping.” So, approaching the city, Jack used it like a playground, opening up the various buildings to see what was inside, crushing others like tin cans, and other simply smashing them.

He continued this till the city had fully sunk, creating a type of alien Atlantis. “Well, time so see what I got for that, but even if I don’t get anything, that was a huge stress relief. <Status>” Navigating to objectives, he was surprised to see ‘Beginnings’ still there, and with a countdown next to it, one that was currently at twenty seconds. “Well that’s totally not stressful at all.” With nothing else to do, Jack waited till it hit zero, and that’s when he heard it. A boom, a very big boom, as a meteor struck right next to him, looking up, Jack saw many more of its kind raining seemingly everywhere, “Huh, this is definitely not good.” “Hey, isn’t that one a lot bigge-” Jack got hit in the head by one of the meteors, missing as he slowly got covered by layers and layers of rock, from meteorite to the earth below him, Jack was getting enveloped by it, until it had created a ball with about the diameter of 100 meters across on all ends.

And then the star exploded.
