Yerty had been put on messenger duty again, something about him and his squad having been three only ones there to see the monster meant it was their job to deliver the letter to the Sorcerers Tower in the highlands. He thought-grumbled to himself “At least this time we have proper travelling clothes.” Their old suits of armor hadn’t exactly been very warming, but at the same time being rather heavy and just warm enough to justify not removing them. These new clothes on the contrary were designed for long periods of flight, both aerodynamic and warm, these clothes were quite similar to a seal’s blubber, with a rough, leathery texture on the outside and fluffy Broten tree ‘leafs’ coating the interior. And stuffing in between had minerals that were especially good at holding mana, these ones had come packed with fresh fire mana. While it wasn’t being activated it generated a nice warm breeze throughout their clothes that kept them going through the colds of the mountain on their exposed wings and faces.

With the shorter distance, lighter clothing, and being much warmer, Yerty and his squad reached the Sorcerers Tower within the same night they set out. The tower was a single, thick tower that had a cone-shaped metal roof that draped a good two meters past the base, and under that was a small platform that circled underneath it that allowed for landing, a similar platform appeared at the bottom of the tower, though it was assaulted by snow. Both platforms had four doors, one in each cardinal direction, these were made of thick rock and were a part of a type of airlock system of a total of eight doors each platform that served to keep the cold out.

Choosing the top platform, the squad landed gracefully onto it, reaching on of the doors they pulled them sideways into the wall using a tall cylindrical handle that offered the good leverage. Closing the door behind them, they were in a small room with another door at the other end, this one had no handle, but rather had a slit instead. After they had gotten their bearings, the slit in the door opened and a nasally voice came out ???:“What is your business here?” Pulling out a letter from one of his pockets, Yerty replied: “K-King’s orders.” Flashing the seal on the letter, the door was opened and they were greeted with a young mage in grey and white-lined robes with a cup full of something warm and steamy “Welcome to the Sorcerers Tower, the Head Sorcerer is in his office over there.” Pointing towards one of the cylindrical rooms evenly spaced throughout the red-carpet floor and grey brick walls of the tower he said: “Can’t miss it, it’s the biggest one in the center and with the ornate door knockers” Yerty nodded politely: “T-T-Thank you.”

Yerty and his squad approached the doors, Yerty reached out and grabbed a knocker, swing it aginst the door twice in rapid succession. A wrinkly old man opened the door, his robes were a pattern of dark-red backing, with blue, yellow, and white stars almost seemingly streaking across it. Atop his head was a pointed tri-cap that shared a similar pattern, but with black lining the edges. He leaned against his doorway, and with a slight smirk on his face, said: “King’s orders right? Hand me the note.” Yerty handed him the note, and watched as with a flip of his wrist, the seal was undone, and he started to silently read its contents. A few moments later, the man stood up from his leaning posture and gestured for them to follow him as he went back into his office, a small stack of papers was floating behind a curved wooden chair of which the Head Sorcerer promptly sat down on. After a quick reread, he looked up at them all and asked: “Do you know the contents of this letter?” Yerty, quickly shaking his head stated: “N-No, Head S-S-Sorcerer!” The Head Sorcerer quietly mumbled out: “Stuttery one eh...” Sighing, the Head Sorcerer motions to Yerty: “Well -no matter- come here.” Not letting Yerty to act upon his order, the Head Sorcerer continues: “So this says you saw the beast with your own eyes?” Yerty, gulping: “Y-Yes!” The Head Sorcerer stands up: “Hmm…” He learns over his desk and stares into Yerty’s eyes. During that moment Yerty felt as if he was in a predator gaze, something that could kill him easily if it so chose. Then it was over, the Head Sorcerer leans back across his desk and looks at the letter once more: “Very well, I’ll see to it that Jutius’ request is done before next moon rises.” The Head Sorcerer Looks up at the squad positioned in his office, giving them a sidelong glance, before shooing them with waves of his hand: “You can leave now.”

As the troops leave his office, the Head Sorcerer, otherwise known as Alcver Cou, is pondering his thoughts: “He really wants me to awaken that thing… This beast better be the strongest thing I’ve ever seen otherwise I’ll de-wing him myself!” continuing on his little rant he grows angrier each line of thought: “We’ve kept that plan in backup for multiple generations, and now he wants to unleash it? Just like that? Not even against a warring country, but a single beast!” he shakes his head to clear his mind a bit: “Well, if I know Jutius, It’s probably the right call… he wouldn’t do something rash without reason…”
