Ned was addicted to playing Skyblock. Initially he thought it would just be a fun little mini-game, like hunger games or build battle, but he was very wrong about that.
The grinding and farm system in Skyblock was addictive! The more you played, the more you evolved and the more things you could do in the game! If before he thought Minecraft Vanilla had no limits, he had to admit that Skyblock further broke limits he hadn't even realized existed.
It had been a week since he killed Ender Dragon, and after that several other people also killed the dragon and were able to start playing Skyblock. It made this game mode kind of a VIP feel, as if because only people who killed Ender Dragon can play, it has become a mini-game that only elites meet.
Ned's livestream was still known as the largest Minecraft livestream in the world, even though other streamers emerged, Ned was the only one who kept an average of over 10,000 watching, and during peak hours that number even tripled.
So even though the vast majority of players couldn't play Skyblock, they could still watch Ned play and see what it's like.
"Maybe I should do a potato farm? I think this could make me a lot of money..." Ned told the chat.
[That! ]
[Potatoes for victory! ]
[Make the kingdom of potatoes! ]
[Death to pigs! ]
But suddenly, a window appeared floating in front of Ned.
[A big new update has arrived in Minecraft. Visit the game's official page, or Launcher for more details. ]
Ned was surprised, this was the first time a message like this came up, before it just said it had an update and players had to restart the game, but this time it seems like it had more explanation?
"Guys, I'm going to disconnect from the game and share my computer screen so you can see this news with me." Ned said as he disconnected from Minecraft.
Within seconds his awareness returned to his own body and he focused his vision on the computer monitor.
[Two new DLCs have arrived in the world of Minecraft. ]
[For players in love with magic, the DLC ThaumCraft is for you!
Thaumaturgy is the capability of a magician to work miracles. The practitioner of thaumaturgy is a thaumaturge, thaumaturgist or miracle worker.
This is what this mod is all about - drawing magic from physical objects in the form of Essentia and reshaping it to perform miracles. ]
Ned was surprised by this first DLC, he didn't think it was possible to do Magic in Minecraft! Initially Ned thought there might be magic classes in Minecraft, as players could use swords, shields, axes and bows, the only thing missing was magic to make a perfect RPG, but unfortunately he never discovered anything related to magic other than potions .
But now it was available! That was amazing, Ned was really looking forward to buying this DLC right now to start playing it and experimenting with making magic with your own hands.
Playing a game with magic was fun, but playing Minecraft with magic will be a unique experience for each player, as unlike other games, players feel that they are really in another world with another body, meaning magic will also feel extremely real!
But as excited as Ned was, he started reading the other DLC.
---
Shuri was a little bored. Initially she had a lot of fun playing Minecraft, especially as she tried to invent machines with RedStone, but as the days went by, because of the simplicity of this, Shuri ended up feeling that the game was becoming a bit boring for her.
That was the problem with geniuses, whereas normal people would take months to learn how to craft an automatic farm, for Shuri who was smart enough to make the Black Panther suit, thinking about making automatic farms, or big redstone circuits was very simple. for her.
When she was getting ready to log out of the game, she saw the notification that there was a new DLC and decided to check it out, after all different things could come.
Seeing ThaumCraft's description, Shuri felt that it was quite boring and not that interesting to her. Despite having a lot of new things, apparently they weren't complicated things, just basic things that any common person would be able to do if they had the time available.
But when she saw the description of the second DLC Shuri's heart sped up as her eyes sparkled.
[If you feel that ThaumCraft is not your cup of tea, you might be interested in IndustrialCraft!
IndustrialCraft introduces numerous features across a variety of areas in Minecraft, including resource processing, mining, agriculture and the player's armory itself. It accomplishes this through the use of a proprietary energy system of Energy Units, or EU, and includes an array of generators and blocks to provide and store this energy and a much larger stable of machinery and tools to use this energy in their own ways! ]
Shuri was shocked, curious she started seeing promotional images of this modpack and was even more excited to play. From the promotional images she could see that there were different types of machines, she would have to design the best place to build her factory, the best layout to build it, get the resources, use machines to process the resources and use that to do other things .
There was so much she would have to do that Shuri's smile kept growing.
Without thinking twice, Shuri bought the $10 DLC and after a few seconds of installation she went into Minecraft to build an amazing factory!
Not only Shuri, tens of thousands of players around the world were amazed by these Minecraft DLCs and almost everyone bought at least one of the DLCs to try out, this included the bigwigs from the world of Marvel as well.

This Minecraft is going to be Sims 4 level of DLC with how tunnel visioned he is on it.
i hope the autor moves from minecrat to something else, either a new game, or some things of the MC real life, i find these things funny, but this starts to feel more like a minecraft fanfiction
@Wardemer i have no problem with this being a Minecraft FanFiction
@gabrielminoru then he should change the summary, as the summary implies that he chages the world trhough games. And my "problem" if you wan to call it like that, is that this novel was about a guy who introduced the games in reality to the MU, and that means, reactions to the games he makes, his life and how people play those games.
As i said i find this novel funny, but 26 chapters about minecraft only... is somwhat disapointing. he could make that the MC goes into the street for some groceries and gets into some trouble and is rescued by a hero, whathever is a marvel hero or a self made, Minecraft has gone round for at least a month i believe at this point, and the MC has stayed holed in the house all this time? i undestand that there may be some fear of going to the street since trouble may be more abundant and dangerous that in his former reality, but even that could make a chapter.
do not take this as me not likin the history, i like it, i'm trying to make a constructive critic, saying what i think is good, what i think is bad and why, and even givin ideas. the autor can keep writting his work as he desires. He is doing a prety damn good work
@Wardemer He's stuck on a mountain
@Wardemer He can't go into the street because he is in a shack in the mountains. He lived off of wild bunnies for around a week, or a month.
@Help and in all that time he has not tried to reach civilization? i like my home but even if i tried i would find greatly uncomftable staying in home for a month, the quarentine was hellish for me, there are things that could happen even in a mountain. And, if i found myself in his situation, i would like to know at least the name of the nearest city, to know that, when trouble appears on the news, if it was close or not.
@Wardemer He's on a MOUNTAIN, in the middle of no where, with no supplies or survival equipment. You mean to tell me, you'd just up and leave the only thing that is sustaining you, and look for some life that, as for as you know, could be 1000's of miles away? Okay.
Edit: A Snow covered mountain no less. Forgot that bit for some reason.
@Wardemer Not everyone is a social butterfly and needs to talk to someone every 5 hours to survive. Quarantine has been great for me, finally had a valid excuse to skip out on family holiday gatherings and not see anyone for 6+ months.
I've got no problem with MC being stuck on a mountain, early on we already saw how robust this system he has is. It was able to give him powers and weapons from any fiction and develop any type of game he could imagine. He'll no doubt find a way to civilization eventually, if not somebody finding their way to him.
My criticism is just that it feels like MC was obsessed with Minecraft before being transmigrated and now it's the only thing he knows. Like taking on the persona of Notch and starting creepypasta lore for himself.
Now that he's in a steady area of GP from the initial start-up funds he could be flooding in GP if/when he thinks outside the box.
@Mira_Zenon i forgot that it was in a snow mountain, but the system has supplies so i supose it has tools too, with that i would start at least planning how to get out. but yes a snowy mountain would most likely freeze any thoughts of reachin a city for a while.
@xane i'm not a social butterfly but just being in a place where other people makes wonders to one's mental health, there is very few people who can stay isolated from everyone and stay healthy, and i not mean merely physical health but also mental health.
And yes i also think that the MC is spending to much GP in minecraft, while he could make another game that, at his creation, was even more famous than minecraft. after all, and as i already said, this MU apperently only has war games and superhero, you could make destiny, dark souls, starcraft, civilization, etc and several more, they don't even need to be VR to generate lots of GP.
@Wardemer The other thing you are forgetting.. his "golden finger" in this reincarnation is his computer, and the ability to make games. And then "Cash in" on it for stuff. No way in hell are you taking a PC with you on a mountain trip. Or would you leave it just to meet people before you cashed in on some of those sexy sexy powers.
@Mira_Zenon My point for saying that the MC should find civilization was for his mental health. i have studied medicine and touched a bit about mental problems. and being alone in the mountains could very easy cause problems (i will not enter into details here). That was my reason for argumenting for lookin for civilization, you may say here "he has VR where he can speak to others" and yes that would comfort him, at least for a while, but there is this sense of safety that when you have an accident you can get help in towns and city, it is not something too obvious, but it is real.
If you have seen some terror movies you may have seem scenes where characters get scared or overly conscious about the noise of leaves birds or a broken branch, well this happens, not like in the movies but it does. and it starts going worse, the MC may soften this issues interacting with the minecraft players, but it will eventually not be enough. he can try to distract by workin, but this is also temporally measure.
But the again this is a novel so it does not need to follow this.
P.D. I'm havin fun speakin and discussin this
@Wardemer Minecraft will just have one more event before a new game release.
@Wardemer True. But this also isn't just normal VR. This also gives real world feeling, as they are legitimately there. It might be enough to trick the mind to feeling as though they are not all alone... might. Honestly, being alone in the mountains with that kind of Tech and opportunity would be great for myself.
But, I'd prolly die before he was given the tech ahaha... I have zero survival skills installed in me. Couldn't even get a fire going more than likely.
@Mira_Zenon I know that his minecraft VR i more "real", that is why those simptoms would take longer, or if the autor wishes never, that is the simptoms of being alone, the stress of not havin anyone around to help when a problem arises will still be there.
@Wardemer It's not more "real" though. It ~IS~ real. The only thing that is odd, is the square people. But everything else is 100% real. So it's really hard to say.
@Mira_Zenon But it is still VIRTUAL reality, it is real yes, but it still is not the same than havin a person 50m away, Mankind, as much as we'd like to deny it, is a social animal, as such we find comfort in being surrounded by people, there are axceptions, yes, but we, speakin about the general individual, need to have other humans around us, even if do not speak to them, just their presence does a lot to our mental health.
@Wardemer Now we're getting in the spicy bits I think. Because is it really "Virtual" when you can't tell? If the people actually looked like people, and not square, they'd honestly think they were in another world. Which they are. I think it'd be enough to check the need of "Need others around me" box for mental health.
But we're speaking of hypotheticals, and I am speaking with extreme bias in this situation, as I am superimposing myself over the MC. I satisfy my very low need to interact with others by merely being online. Being in a game that is real, would more than likely flare up my problems and prevent me from playing I bet.
@Mira_Zenon i son't know how a realistic VR impact on the mind, so i'm aproaching this as,"while inside the VR it would help but, since he has to exit it it would not be a solution"
to make a little more simple let's put this in game mechanicics (how original XD)
he has a mental health of 100 wich is sane, each day being alone in the mountain substracs 1 to said health, each day in the mountain adds 1 to the amount substracted. this would mean that he could spend time in the mountain alone but eventually he would have problems, a breakdown, collapse, depression etc.
Now he has VR wich provides, +5 to his mental health just by being able to speak to others, add 5 more if that day has actually spoken to somebody, and +1 to +5 depending on the duration of said interaction
this would cause VR to aid him, and even letting his mental health survive long in the mountain, but as medicine, it would be useless in the long run (if you take too much of a single medicine it becomes useless on you as your body learns to detect this foreign body and eliminate it).
As for your situation i will not speak of, don't know lot about you, and can't say why it happened and i don't even wan to try, our real life does not matter here. But think for yourself just this, don't need to answer it nor do i ask you to: If you had an accident could you phone emergency so they could come and take you to the hospital? Is your house safe from danger? (thief/wild animal/other causes). Do you actually hear other people? (cars, neighbours arguin, a housemate, family people on the streets, etc). there are some more, but if the answer is those questions is YES, it actually provides an uncounscios sense of comfort.
This topic has prolonged a bit too much and i think it's time to close it before we enter a forbidden avenue, so we should probably close it.
@Wardemer Bruh, where do you get the idea he’s even around civilization?? It’s been stated he’s on top of a snowy mountain in the middle of nowhere, how the hell is he supposed to get rescued when he’s in the middle of NOWHERE.
Also he wants more money, it’s better to work on what’s already making you money instead of making another game. And let me underline what you said ‘And how people play his games’. He’s literally writing that, what else could you possibly want? Maybe the Minecraft is getting a little dragged out but it’s the only way he’s making money rn. Making another game would just move a great majority of his attention away from Minecraft and he’d waste the potential that’s starting to shine from what he’s already polished with it, we’ll probably be working on Minecraft for a while because he probably wants to completely finish Minecraft in one arc and then move on to another game, which overall is a smart move.
@OPBeans You realize that you are responding to a 2 years old comment? I would need to reread this, but o did not know whathever he was nearby or not to anthing remotely civilized. just that being alone atop of the mountain is not the healthiest thing for someone's mind, and thus he should serch for other humans.
Again the words "SEARCH FOR" means to look for something. dunno where a town/city/other was nearby or not.
And this "‘And how people play his games’. He’s literally writing that, what else could you possibly want?" to jump to other games? for something to happen? again i ould need to reread this fic, but my 2 points were that the fic was about Games in plural, and that he should do somethin in the MC RL.
Also in the future check the date of the comment you are answering to please, I've stopped reading this fic for some time already, maybe i will reread but still 2 years since the comment you are answering to
@Wardemer I never really think about comment dates, and I’m honestly gonna advise you not to reread this it isn’t even worth the read in most parts. Also yes being in the wilderness without human interaction isn’t healthy but as someone who is currently a hermit with little human interaction at the moment (Not by choice) their are a variety of ways to fill one’s social bar without the need to leave the house. I don’t know maybe replying to a two year old comment might do the trick?
Even if you wanted him to jump to something more entertaining it’d be a very long while because (kinda spoiler) he starts getting with one of the mutants and exposing himself, honestly dumb and it’s weird how the other mutants don’t question him at all.
I’ll recommend reading (singer sailor merchant instead.)
