Sitting up I look around at my surroundings. All around me are trees and plants so I assume this is a forest or at least something similar. I look towards the direction the voice came from and I see a man who looks like Luke but is he. He looks like he could be nine feet tall and is wearing golden armour while also holding a spear.

I was about to ask him who he is but the new memories I was given stopped me. I am now a member of the sisters of silence therefore I cannot speak.

Using my new memories I use thoughtmark to ask who he is.

“I don’t know what that means. Will my helmet translate?”(?)

The man puts on his helmet and then I ask him again.

“I can understand now. In our last life you will have known me as Luke but now my name is Zuriel.”(Z)

[It's nice to meet you Zuriel. My name is now Ionara.]

“It’s nice to meet you two Ionara. It’s going to take some getting used to the sign language.”(Z)

[I am now a member of the sisters of silence I am under a vow of silence. I assume you are now a member of the Adeptus Custodes.]

“That is correct I am a custodian guard. I have a guardian spear and a misericordia what do you have?”(Z)

Looking at what I have I see I am wearing gold power armour with a red cape. The weapons I have on me are an executioner great blade on my back and a bolt pistol. Moving my hands to my head I feel that my hair is in the usual ponytail style for the sisters of silence. Standing next to Zuriel I feel that I am about six feet tall. I tell Zuriel what equipment I have on me.

“Do you have new memories of how to use these weapons?”(Z)

I nod to answer his question.

“I have as well. It’s strange but helpful. First we need to get food and water and then find out where we are.”(Z)

After saying this he walks away and I follow behind.

We walk through the forest trying to find any sign of civilisation or anything that is edible.

Eventually, we find a boar. Zuriel raises his guardian spear and aims at the boar ready to fire the bolt gun on it.

He fires and it hits the boar. However, the explosive rounds of the boltgun make the boar explode as well making it inedible.

[Don’t use boltguns for hunting next time.]

“I will keep that in mind next time. I thought that I would feel something after killing for the first time but I don’t. How do you feel.”(Z)

[I don’t feel anything either. It's probably due to the changes that were made when we were reincarnated. Let's keep going.]

We continue our walk through the forest we don’t talk much on the way mostly because it’s difficult to communicate using thoughtmark while walking.

Eventually, we come across a paved road wide enough for two carriages. We decide to follow the road. After more travelling, we start to hear the sounds of fighting.

As we reach the fighting we can see two groups fighting around a carriage. There are five who look to be defending the carriage while there are about ten who look to attacking it. Are they bandits?

“Do you want to help.”(Z)

I nod in response.

“You go in and I provide fire support.”(Z)

I respond by starting to run towards the assumed bandits. As I do this Zuriel carefully fires at the bandits and each round hits their target the bandits exploding as they are hit.

As I get closer a draw my sword and activate it.

Once I reach engagement range there are five bandits left. Each bandit is wearing some form of plate or chain mail armour.

I take my first strike at the back of one of the bandits and before he knows that I am here my sword cuts through his armour like a hot knife through butter and cuts him in half. Everyone, there was surprised by the scene but soon recollect themselves.

One of the other bandits moves towards me and swings his sword at me. I return the gesture and swing at him like before my sword cuts through his sword with no resistance and then cuts his arm off. I then swung again while he is distracted by the pain and decapitated him.

Another bandit tries to sneak up behind me but I notice him and in one movement spin around and cut him in half as well.

The last two bandits try to run away but before they can I take out my bolt pistol and shoot both of them.

[All enemies eliminated] I sign to Zuriel using battlemark.

I turn around to look at the People who were defending the carriage. They are all looking at me in a mix of fear and amazement.
