Author’s Note: Syvis our protagonist still views his mind as “male”, so I am using “he/his” as pronouns till it switches. I am also conflicted on using first person for Syvis’s posts. Forgive me in this regard, I am going to be experimenting in future chapters about which perspective I like.

The time of the world ticks by, people age, our Syvis ages as well. The child had taken the last 5 years to adjust to his new home. At first his life was simple, but it slowly grew more complex. It took him 2 years to understand the language the people around him spoke in, but he managed to learn it, though he couldn’t speak it while his body developed.

At the age of 4, he began to understand what was happening around him much better than he could before. The general gist of it? He was born into a royal family, though he had no right to the crown. I mean he was now she right? That was the biggest confusion for him.

Syvis: “Alright, so I have learned I am no longer a guy, great. Something that I am having a complete melt down about, and I can’t stop crying from it!”

He started to cry out once more, his body refusing to keep his emotions calm, though he wasn’t as loud as he once was. He wiped his eyes into his white dress. He learned about a year ago that the various dresses he had since his birth had stitched symbols for their goddess, Dyara. Although that did not amount to much in his mind yet. The first thing he had to sort out now that he could walk a little bit and his vision was clear was to explore around some.

At least that was his original intent, he looked up from the bed he was sitting on with its pure white sheets and large comfortable pillow. Nothing in the room he had was suited for someone his size. Everything he was given was white with various symbols of the goddess. The two-person table that sat in the corner was white along with the two chairs, the bookshelf filled to the brim with various books for a child his age. The window itself was not white, though it had painted panes depicting what he could only assume was the goddess herself, or a depiction of her. The curtains were white around the window though.

Syvis: “So, first thing is first, I am clearly in a church of some kind. Though the white doesn’t seem to bother me like it did in my previous life. I loved dark stuff as a guy, things like satanic rituals and the wild fantasies of seeing naked women performing lewd and irreverent acts, so ending up living in a temple like this is kind of ironic... The second part….”

He lifts up his dress and looks at his body and a frown begins to appear on the small face.

Syvis:“Yep...I’m a girl… this is going to take some serious getting used to...I guess I have time; I am only five years old… The question is, what am I?”

The last thing in the room which sat in the corner of the room which was probably the only non-standard color item was a mirror, it was made from what appeared to be wood with a very plain design around it. He walked up to the mirror and examined himself. He was still the size of a toddler as one would expect, He had long thin ears that stuck out around 3 to 4 inches from his head and moved based on his mood, this caused him to feel like a dog or a cat.

The differences didn’t stop there, short straight pink hair that hung around down to his chin. Bright pink eyes that appeared to shine with an inner light, they showed an unnatural luminescent light with an intellect quite beyond his age. He leaned forward checking his face with his tiny palms rubbing into his cheeks.

Syvis:“Ya… I am not dreaming; I can feel it.”

He pinched his own cheeks which caused his eyes to water, he smacked his cheeks and wiped his tears away.  He chided himself.

Syvis:“No being a cry baby! I am alive! That is the important part!”

He attempted to cheer himself up by stating that, but he found his own voice cute and was instantly defeated by it. He leaned forward sighing in pure frustration staring at his feet.

Syvis: “Man, what god did I piss off to end up like this?!”

He stood up straight once more before folding his arms into his chest, he rubbed his chin thinking some with his left palm staring up into the ceiling.

Syvis: “I have to take my time...Figure things out...I have to not panic; I have to keep my head straight. This is my life now…”

He turned towards the window and climbed up on the small love seat that was positioned just under the window which allowed him to climb on top of it to look outside. He stood on the cousins leaning his body into the back rest pulling one of the windows open to look outside for the first time. He was just able to get his head over the love seat to be able to see outside.

The view he saw was expansive and large. The closest building was a castle, European in style turrets, towers, and walls with large white bricks putting it together. Unlike the building he was in, the windows appeared to be clear and see through. People in what appeared to be metal armor walked around the grounds just beyond a wall that was positioned between their current building and the castle. A priestess who often acted as his maid had informed him before that the building in front of him was the King’s castle, my grandfather's home.

Syvis: “I still can’t believe I am royalty, let alone being a chick, AND a different species, but we are clearly civilized though it is a bit of an older style. Now, what I do know is: This isn’t the earth that I know, there probably isn’t a way for me to go back to being a guy or a human. So, I have to do my best to figure out what I am supposed to do. I am not in line for the crown, so maybe I am an illegitimate child? I hope the treatment isn’t bad… Though for now once the babysitter gets here, I just have to act my age and go along with things and figure it all out before I set any goals.”

He hopped down off the love seat and turned towards the bookshelf looking through the titles of the books. The Titles he found were, A child’s bedtime story, Dyara’s Stories, a guide to elementary magic…

Syvis: “Wait, why is there a book like this here?”

He grabbed the book off the bookshelf and walked towards the table, with some effort he managed to pull out a chair before shakingly climbing on top of it. Once sitting into the seat that had been made for him to sit in, he placed the thick book down onto the table in front of him pushing it open. Inside the book he saw a ton of different pictures of runes and circles, he couldn’t read it at all.

<Archive skill has been activated; would you like to archive the magic tomb of beginner’s magic? Yes or No>

He jumped up before almost falling out of the chair he was sitting in before looking down at the floating white words over the book. He blinked a few times, the words yes and no seemed to glow brighter than the rest he hesitated thinking about it for just a moment.

Syvis: “I can’t understand any of what is in this book, though these words come naturally… Like some kind of computer input.”

He tried to touch the words, but the words simply appeared in his vision again, his hands seemingly not able to even get near the words as they simply floated over his hand.

Syvis: “Guess it is voice activated? Maybe? Only one way to find out… Yes, archive it?”

The book began to glow as the words faded away before his head began to hurt, crouching down and gripping his head. Sweat began to roll down his body as his brain was flooded with information, overwhelming amounts. He managed to climb down from his chair before falling onto his knees, his brain pounding harder and harder as images flooded his mind. He could see the person writing the book, their experiences, and memories as they wrote it. The pain grew more and more falling onto the ground and began to dream.

An old pair of hands wrote into the very book that he had read just a moment ago, the hands stopping for a moment before looking outside. The stars in the sky reflect into the mature eyes, a smile appearing on his face.

Syvis: “These are the perfect kinds of nights to record my final research results, maybe I can get 12 volumes done this time… I just hope that my research is used in the future... “

A heavy voice sighs before he begins to write once more, the pages begin to speed past the hands moving at inhuman speeds, the sun rises and falls within blinks of the eye. Speeding past until the book was completed before closing. Everything written was readable and stored inside of the child’s mind. The book floated inside of a giant white space. He looked down and his body was still the same. But the memories of the book and the information inside of the book were floating in front of him. The sound of a voice began to weakly echo in the bright void violating the quiet space.

Woman’s Voice: “Syvis…. Wake up Syvis…”

Enjoy a bonus chapter, I got motivated to post this one early. I am not gonna lie, I am a bit ahead in the story, I am at close to 140 pages (10 chapters more) already written. Various chapters are almost double the current chapter length (and getting longer).  Though there is a lengthy section that needs to be edited and proofread. (O,.,O) I am NOT USED TO THIS. I may end up breaking some chapters down into quarters.
