Time ticked by, a few more months passed and I have been able to spend time with my mother. I am excited because starting today I am to practice magic with a few of the priestesses in the courtyard. With my abilities I have decided to join my fellow sisters as a support mage, focusing on abilities for support buffs and healing of our allies. I could do more, but it requires much more work. I have time now to work on my skills, though down the line I imagine I would lose out to more attack focused mages. I have yet to decide what else to do, but I need to hop out of bed and focus on something suitable for practicing.

I ended up choosing the standard white robes hemmed in green that the other mages would wear into battle. They probably wouldn't mind if I wore something more casual for my first day of training, given how much everyone seemed to fawn and dote on me. But I figured it was more practical than a sundress, and even looked kind of... Cool... Badass, even.

It was hardly battle ready, as it was simply a replica made out of silks and soft cottons rather than the actual lightly padded armor that the battlemages wore. But it was something. The white, form fitting leggings combined with the split hip of the ankle-length cloak allowed for a good amount of maneuverability and flexibility, though it lacked pockets... I did miss pocketed clothing.

Regardless, I made my way out of the bedroom to the kitchen/dining room area where I could get breakfast.

Nimue stood out in the greeting hall of their living section. She smiled gently, staring at me. She walked over elegantly like always, before squatting down in front of him. Her palms reached out to me rubbing into my cheeks, her bright pink eyes shining with love and affection.

Nimue: "Are you ready for your first day of training?... Are you sure you want to go down this route dear? You could just take it easy and we could work at a local temple if you want..."

I brushed off the affection gently, but only after I allowed her a moment or two to rub my face. She had not seen me practically for the first six years of my life, and took every opportunity that we were together to show the love that she very clearly had in her heart, and despite my distant lingering concerns for my situation, how could I possibly deny such a woman the happiness that it brought her to doted on her daughter?

"It's ok mom... it's... something I'm gonna be good at, right?  So if I learn now, I'll be better at it later!  And besides... lots of people need the kind of help the sisterhood provides right?"  I challenged myself.

Nimue smiled greatly while her arm was hugged, she reached down and rubbed my head with her free hand, gently running her fingers through my hair before nodding once.

Nime: "You are not wrong, you think so far ahead when you should just be a happy little girl, but I know you will have a hundred years or so once we leave here to act your age. Mommy simply worries that you're growing too fast..."

Hopefully she didn't suspect fast enough to have 40 years of a fairly complete human life to back those up. "It's okay mom!" I reassured her again, pulling back from her to look up at her face. "Besides, I want to go see the world, and training my powers can help keep us safe, right?"

I initiated one now, wrapping my arms around her shoulders and squeezing her gently, to let her know that I appreciated her concern.

It was all the more wonderful that her love bathed me.  And the hugs were nice…

Nimue sighed a bit, looking a bit worried. She nodded before standing up. She turned towards the door and made another weak smile.

Nimue: "I can't travel beyond those doors unless it is for a special occasion. Thus you will be escorted by a guard towards the grounds. Just be a good girl and listen properly alright? Mommy will be watching when she can."

She gently rubbed her hand once more through my hair before walking back towards the stairs in the great hall, heading towards her office once more, she stopped and looked back with a loving smile before heading into her office's doors.

I was unsure what she was feeling. Although if it were me, I would probably be scared out of my wits. Having lived in almost complete isolation for her entire life, and then not only giving birth to a daughter that should not have happened, but then anticipating going out with her into a mysterious and dangerous world sounded to me as though it was a recipe for disaster.

I hoped that with my abilities, I'd be able to protect her. Myself too.

I nodded at her request and smiled bravely up at her as she ruffled my hair. I waved back as she returned to work and waited around for my escort, reflecting on how much I needed to be protected at this stage in my life.

I had yet to meet a person who was anything less than completely thrilled to meet me, but being an adorable girl had its advantages with kindly women. The door separating me from the outside door knocked gently before a woman in green armor opened it up. She stood there for a moment before kneeling. Her full plate mail hid her body from my line of sight.

Guard: "I am here to escort your highness to the training grounds. Please allow me the honor, if you will follow me."

She didn't move as if I was true royalty, up till this point everyone was just a sister to me. This was vastly different from my normal treatment up till this point. I decided that the most prudent thing to do would be to follow along, but try not to make it too grandiose.

Syvis: "Okay. Please lead on, thank you!"

I dipped my head in a courteous nod of approval to reinforce my words. The woman remained in her kneeling position before responding with a sharp and forceful "HAI!" in acknowledgement. She picked up her weapon, putting it to her side before standing up and remaining to the side of the door similar to a proper knight ready to die for her lord.

I couldn't help but giggle at her stiff mannerisms. Though I controlled myself before I could embarrass the guard, and walked out, hands clasped behind my back, just wandering forward and letting the guard take up their position.

The Guard walked forward escorting me towards the main hall of the temple before taking a few turns. The temple hadn't changed in the few months she had spent in the inner home. The sisters moved through the halls making small greetings towards me. After about 15 minutes we arrived at a large set of double doors made out of wood, the doors were pushed open by the guard they stood to the side.

Guard: "We have arrived. Here you will spend a few hours training your magic, there will also be some self defense courses, your highness, I shall remain on standby watching to ensure nothing happens to you, so please have fun.”

The place they were standing was at what appeared to be a large football field but with none of the gear. The walls of the temple could be seen on the other side of the field, but it felt spacious and welcoming for the various forms of training the temple priestesses went through.

There were what appeared to be five priestesses standing in combat clothes. What appeared to be leather padding and some tight fitting cloth wrapped around their forms. It offered a sense of light defense as well as people who carried themselves well. A blonde haired elf with green eyes walked up towards me. She saluted me in a style I had seen a few times before. She placed her palm against her heart and bowed slightly towards me.

Woman: "My name is Roish, I am the head trainer here in the temple. I am an ex-adventurer of the B rank, so you can expect to learn as much as you need your highness.".

I bowed too, mimicking her salute, then smiling up at her.

Syvis:  "Nice to meet you. My name is Syvis! I'm just here to learn enough to protect myself and others!"

Roish smiled gently towards me before making a serious face. She clasped her fist into the palm of her other hand before bowing.

Roish :"In training, you are to do this same stance. It is a sign of respect, I want you to do the same as me before every match"

She squinted out of her left eye to stare down at me, as if waiting for me to do the same.  It was not unlike other self-defense courses I had taken, or seen in movies. I placed my right fist in my left palm and bowed respectfully.

Roish smiled before nodding before standing up straight once more.

Roish: "So princess, what would you like to learn? I wasn't informed what kind of training you wish to undertake." She placed a palm on her hip staring down at me with a serious look, a kind of look that showed she was a professional. The light in her eyes was intense and strong as if a lion was being held back to strike.

I took a moment to consider my current skills, surreptitiously clasping my hands behind my back and squeezing my palm. Whispering "<Status open>" to myself.

As I had learned, children under ten weren't supposed to have statuses. But if I was a normal citizen of this world, I probably would not have already had a nickname like 'miracle child'. The unique skill <Status Modification> seemed to be the effect taking care of that.

I tried to pass off reading my own status before my eyes as being lost in thought as to what I could do, and decided to see what I could get away with. Space-time travel sounded interesting.

Syvis: "Can you teach me to teleport!?"

I asked finally. Roish's straight face broke, she looked confused and hesitant.

Roish: "I am sorry your highness, Such a magic is well beyond me. I can only use attack magic. Space magic is considered extremely rare. I can only teach you that, or martial arts. As far as magic training. Aleesia here..."

Roish moved to a woman covered from head to toe in her garb, the only thing visible were her red eyes.

Roish:"Can teach you various support magic and healing magics. Even then the ability to find someone who can train you in Such a thing would probably be in the Academy of Magic Studies, which is in the human kingdoms."

I looked a little crestfallen, my lips pouting cutely at the news, but not accusatory.

Syvis: "Umm... Ok!" I brushed it off innocently. I cast around a little more, trying to think of something more realistic to ask for. "Uuuhhh... Ok, healing stuff then!" I tried to sound excited to cheer them up, I didn't want to seem ungrateful for their efforts.

Roish nodded before patting on Aleesia's back. The woman nodded before walking over to me, her movements were completely silent before she held out a glove covered hand.

Aleesia: "Child, take my hand, let us go into the magic circle in the middle of the field to practice."

I grabbed her hand and followed, excited to start the training in earnest!

Aleesia escorted me towards a giant circle that was designed with what appeared to be white stones. I could see various words which I assumed to be magic ruins. They were paired between another circle on top of one another. Aleesia held my hand gently till we approached the edge of the circle.

Aleesia: "This is a magic circle, often used for wards or for various rituals. Most magic when used creates its own variant of a circle in the air or on the ground upon its activation.

Aleesia leaned down and placed a palm on a ruin of the circle. her hand began to glow with a blue aura surrounding it. A thin film-like material appeared from within the circle starting from the center and expanding towards the outer ring. it stopped and began to glow with a white hue. Aleesia turned towards me nodding once.

Aleesia: "The first step is having you learn to use your Mana. The second step is for you to be able to learn to see the barrier and your own mana's activation. It's a simple test to learn the basics of magic."

I took in what I could from her words and actions, and looked away from the film of magic that had spread across the circle.

Syvis: "Ok, and when do I do the magic!?" I asked, feeling a little giddy.

Aleesia tilted her head some and sighed softly. She stood back up and took both of my hands. The blue aura appeared once more but it began to move towards my hands.

Aleesia: "The first step is to learn to channel Mana, this will allow you to use magic."

Of course I was half listening. The words appeared once more.

<NOTICE: Prompt from Archive: Would you like to Archive Aleesia Rou? Yes or No>

Oh no. Was this going to happen to every new person that I met or touched? It had appeared when I met my mother and I had accepted it without thinking. But It seems reckless to continue accepting an effect when I did not know what the result would be. I willed silently with all my might at the message. "No" At the same time I let my hands be guided into the mama pool, and refocused my concentration on Aleesia.

Aleesia watched my reaction for the moment, the sensation of mana was clear as day. It traveled through my hands through my arms and to just above my heart. A burning sensation was felt and it allowed me to see my own mana pool. It felt deep like a sea, it felt sealed off and under developed.  Though I wondered if it would be unusual to be able to sense it so much at this point.

Aleesia slowly removed her hands off of mine before staring into my eyes. Her deep blood eyes reflected my face back towards me.

Aleesia: "Tell me what you felt, did you catch the sensation of mana flowing through you? Can you describe to me what you felt?"

I hesitated, uncertainty flowing into me as I perceived the vastness of my own sealed power that I had not known existed. Even with my utterly basic understanding of the rules by which magic was governed in this world, I could tell that this was distinctly not normal... Certainly not for a child like myself. Should I lie? Should I reveal only the mere sizable lake of power I could perceive was in my current possession? Would it make me a target? Could these women even teach me enough to control such power? I was frozen so long as I was somewhat concerned, staring down at my hands in awe and some trepidation.

Aleesia: "Mmm... well it is perfectly fine if you can't detect it on your first try. Just try to remember how it felt for my mana to flow into your core. Try to remember how the core felt and push your mana out from there. It's alright if it's small, and it is even better if its bigger. It is something that is a blessing, for us to be able to use even a minor amount that the gods could use."

Aleesia sat down crossing her legs together before watching me.

Aleesia: "Once you are able to draw mana from your core, we can continue. It doesn't matter if it takes a minute or the entire day. This is why we are here."

That was... Somehow... Even more concerning. I imagine that this was something that children were supposed to work at, to struggle to feel anything, based on her words. But I had to be sure. I tried to keep calm as I looked up to Aleesia.

Syvis: "C-can you tell me what yours feels like? What does it feel like inside?" I asked tentatively.

Aleesia tilted her head some before looking up into the sky. She appeared to be thinking for the moment before looking back down towards me.

Aleesia: "For me, my mana core feels like a bottomless ocean, a place where I could swim for miles. Though this is due to rigorous training I have been doing since I was your age."

I was glad I checked... Though still probably unusual, I felt safe in the knowledge that I was not alone in perceiving the ocean of power. Though her not mentioning the barrier sealing off said the ocean would bring questions for later... I made my decision on how to handle it.

 "Ok... Let's try again."

I said aloud. I reached my hands down into the pool and tried to feel out what power I had. Then, slowly as I could, I tried to push out a little bit into the circle, to eek out a portion of my power to see if I could control it...

The mana welled up by my will from my core. Flowing through me, it followed along till it hit my arms. It then began to gush out through my body following along its blood veins. Everything began to heat up, before it burned out of my skin. It didn't hurt, But the feeling only continued to intensify with no signs of it stopping.

A drop became a splash, becoming a gushing pipe, a firehouse, then an EXPLOSION of power rippling through my tiny body. My whole being consumed invisibly by the sheer power inside me, my frail being unable to stem the flow.

Aleesia blinked a few times staring wide eyed towards me, then the world turned white and I could hear my name being called before the world went black. I woke up with something warm under my head. Staring up towards Aleesia, her eyes closed and her mana flowing above her head. Clearly in some kind of meditation, controlling her mana flow perfectly

When I finally woke, I saw her meditating, fascinated and a little jealous at her expert control. I tried to speak, to ask her how she did it, but a rasping, hoarse whisper was the only thing that escaped my mouth.

Syvis: "Aleeee... Aleessssssshhhhh"

My mouth was parched as a desert, and my mind swimming as even that faint sound seemed to exacerbate a migraine that burned angrily in my temple.

Aleesia looked down at me and rubbed my head, her hand glowing with white light that covered my head in warmth. She hummed softly towards me, soothing my aching head.

Aleesia: "Calm yourself child, I knew something like this might happen. What you're experiencing is mana exhaustion. The side effects get worse as you get older, but it is important to understand your limits. In the field, this sort of thing leads to more danger for everyone, not just yourself."

I just lay there. Trying to take steady breaths.

So I couldn't stem the flood of power within me. Was it my body? My will? Maybe I just did it wrong? What if I hurt someone in the future?

The intensity of my fears and doubts coalesced into an intense emotional swirl. My body was still volatile, even with my mind trying to reason things out. Tears started to well in my eyes and I let out a sob.

Aleesia tilted her head, seeing the tears building up. She broke her stance before rubbing my head gently. She tilted her head some before a soft giggle could be heard.

Aleesia: "Are you scared for others or yourself? This sort of thing in training is fine my dear..."

I tried to control my breath, and took several gulps before I steadied myself enough to talk, tears still streaming out of my eyes.

Syis: "I... I don't w-wanna hurt people! I c-can't control it!" I blubbered.

If my mana could just erupt out of me like that at the slightest provocation, what would that mean for my ability to learn? If I could never control my magic, I could just erupt at any moment, unable to practice as my magic just drains out of me repeatedly…

Aleesia tilts her head, before flicking my forehead. She began to laugh some while slapping her thigh. After a few moments she managed to calm down before clearing her throat.

Aleesia: "Child, I think you are misunderstanding what I meant... Losing control of your mana is for the young. It's not life threatening other than the situation you are in. If you pass out in a fight and your allies can't protect you, you can die. Mana Exhaustion isn't life threatening at all in normal day to day life, but if you are an adventurer in a fight, then it can be deadly."

I felt stupid... I continued to lay there... tears dripping down my nose and occasionally sniffling. Eventually, I managed to look up at Aleesia with bleary, watery eyes.

Syvis: "I... I don't think I can do it... it's too much..." I whimpered.

Aleesia picked me up into the air before standing me on my feet. She wiped my clothes off before standing up in front of me. She stared down at me before turning towards the magic circle.

Aleesia: "I summon the one who whispers in the wind. "Sylyh'' come!"

A green circle appears in the air, after a second a small woman appears. She had green hued skin with blue eyes, what appeared to be feathers and thin green cloth covered her form. She was no bigger than a teddy bear around a foot in size. The woman looked around before floating over to Aleesia's head and sitting on top of her head. Seemingly happy to be out as she stretched before  laying on its back right there.

Aleesia: "This little one is Sylyh, my spirit that I was summoned and contracted when I was your age. She is a lazy mischievous spirit. Would you like to try to summon one?"

Despite my fears, I couldn't help but be fascinated by the otherworldly creature, and when she offered for me to summon my own, I looked around nervously. With any luck, I would simply be able to summon a spirit to me, and that would be the end of it. But my mana drain...

Syvis: "I- I do... What should I do? Do I have enough Mana to summon?" I asked tentatively.

Aleesia nodded and rolled her shoulders around.

Aleesia: "Believe it or not, you have been asleep for four hours. Its a typical response to mana exhaustion. So, you should have recovered it all, for now all you need to do is channel your mana into a summoning circle. I prepared one behind us."

She turned to the side, a few feet behind her sat a small slate of rock that had a circle carved into it. It looked weathered and used quite a bit from age.

Aleesia: "It's a bit of an older one, but it is by no means any less functional. It's meant for beginners such as yourself. Once you pour mana into it, you just have to say a simple chant and then wait to see what summons answers your call. The chant is: "I offer my mana to seek power of others; heed my call and appear before me; so we may perform a contract." That is all there is to it.”

I stared at the worn looking stone wearily, but stepped up to it. If it had a limit, maybe my Mana wouldn't overflow the system... I held my hands out as she had shown me before, and took a deep breath. I tried to once again seek out my power into the dais, and recited the words that Aleesia had given to me.

Syvis: "I offer my mana to seek power from others; heed my call and appear before me; so we may perform a contract." I chanted.

The stone tablet began to glow after a second, a circle appearing in front me, it floated there for a moment before the runes began to spin around. What appeared to be a white fog appeared above it, movement could be seen going around inside of it the sounds of various voices could be heard.

Voices: "A young one! She looks fun!; Her soul looks so beautiful!: A male? or a female?; So much potential!; An interesting Fate...it's so...wild!;"

Aleesia stood next to me unblinking, she said nothing for a moment before looking down towards me.

Aleesia: "Go on, give it a try, try calling out what you want, there are many beings within the haze, they find you interesting. You just need to call out one."

I reeled. Was this a wish? How would this spirit react to me? Or do I do it? Only one way to find out.

Syvis: "I want help! I want help to control my power! Can anyone help me do that?" I called into the fog.

The fog shifted as if people were moving around inside of it.

Voices: "control? Help with control?; She isn't weak, she wants to learn?; Help huh?~;. Interesting Child. You want to control your powers? or do you want the understanding of them?;

Aleesia stared at me before folding her arms behind her back.

Aleesia: "That is interesting. That last one spoke quite clearly...."

I looked back to Aleesia, a little slack jawed, and then looked back into the mist.

Syvis:  "Control... I can figure out what's going on with my power later... I just want to make sure I can use it to help people... to protect people..."

The fog shifted once more, only two forms remained, a male who looked elegant. As if he was wearing the crazy clothes of a noble. The second form appeared to be a female, curvy.

Male voice: "The type of control to help people? The power to attack and defend?"

The female's form turned to the male a palm on her hip.

Female Voice: "Tsk, typical of a male... She wants to protect... to help manifest her power in a form to protect those around her. Child!"

The female form turned towards me, her other arm pointing towards me.

Female Voice: "You have the pleasure of taking this queen's interest! You may not be able to use my power to its absolute limits yet, but in time you will be able to use this queen's power to the utmost! I assure you that I will teach you how to use your power and more!"

The male voice's palm moved rubbing into its head.

Male Voice: "You...You are arrogant in your power, though your words aren't wrong. I shall concede if she doesn't wish for my power. Though it would probably be just the same for me, too long to fully manifest myself."

Aleesia went wide-eyed staring at the fog, her palms no longer folded behind her back before looking almost astonished with her body's movements.

I was stunned as well. I had assumed that I would get some sort of creature like Aleesia... Even if it was some sort of manifestation of cthulhu or something... I spoke up to the male figure, weary of the 'Queen's' arrogant tone of voice.

Syvis: "Your power would help me fight? Is that right?" I asked politely.

The female voice sucks her teeth before folding her arms into her chest. The male's arms move to his sides before bowing in nature.

Male voice: "Child, my power and focus is primarily attack type magics. Your primary request is to learn to control your power correctly? My training would lead you towards perfecting attack type magics. Though I could support you in this way. If you choose me I will help make you the strongest mage of power out there! Not even the dragons would be able to resist you!"

The man's arms raised up seemingly in a grandiose manner. The woman's form shook her head before raising an arm seemingly pointing towards me.

Woman: "I focus on support, buffing allies, weakening enemies, summoning others to attack. My training would make you the strongest in the universe to support the ones you care about! This queen is known as the leader of armies!"

I hesitated, looking back and forth between them. One of them seemed to be the calm and rational type, despite his pompous manner and boon of greater focus on attacking. The other seemed VERY pompous, but was offering the kind of protection I had been asking for... I figured I would at least try her help... and if that didn't work...

Well... hopefully there was a way to banish or excise spirits…

Syvis:  "Umm... I think that the kind of protection I was asking for was with you miss... uh... Queen?" I asked hesitantly. "Uh, no offence mister..." I looked at the other form in the mist.

The male figure shrugged and disappeared into the mist, the sole focus became the female figure, though it was still shrouded by the fog. A cheery laughter could be heard.

Female Voice: "Quickly quickly! complete the contract already!"

Aleesia nodded before looking down towards me.

Aleesia: "You need to give the summons a name, once you do, you need to respond with "I, X seek to enter a contract with you, X" If they like the name they will respond in kind, if not then you will need to think of a new name."

I got to choose their name huh? Well, naming the spirit 'drama queen' would probably not go over well...

I thought about it for a moment before putting my hands forward uncertainty, still looking like I was casting a spell with my fingers splayed and palms towards the smoke.

Syvis: "Um... I, Syvis Sylzana... Seek to enter a contract with you, Queen Aegis..."

I decided to go with the Greek word that could have meant shield, but referred also to a protector or backer, which seemed to be what this spirit did...

The female voice laughed for a moment before slapping her chest. The white haze faded away revealing a woman who stood easily 7 feet in height. She had a modest hourglass figure wearing a black dress with white frills. She appeared to be in a gothic style from the industrial era. The woman's face could be described as a delicate doll perfect in every way with dark red eyes, fangs could be seen over her bottom lips which she licked delicately.

Aegis: "I Agree to your contract Syvis Sylzana. This one shall be known as Queen Aegis under your contract! Call upon me when you seek my aid!"

The woman disappeared with a red circle under her feet. At the same time words appeared in my eyes once more.

<Contract Established: Partner: Queen Aegis, Greater Arch Spirit of Twilight)>

<Summoning has leveled up to level 2>

<Twilight Magic has been acquired>

Aleesia blinked a few times and stood there stunned for a moment before creasing her eyebrows. She didn't say any of her thoughts before waving her palm towards me.

Aleesia: "Syvis, please go ahead and call upon your spirit. To do so you need to repeat what I said earlier. Do you remember it?"

I was so blown away from the experience that I had completely forgotten that she had shown me how to summon the spirit that I had bonded with!

Syvis: "Ummm... I summon you, Queen Aegis?" I guessed, half remembering.

There was no response like the grandiose manner that Aleesia's summon. Instead a whisper was heard in my ears. "Child, try again, this queen is the ruler of twilight~"

A large magic circle, a mix of black and white, appeared in front of me. It spread out for several meters before settling and the Queen Aegis appeared.  She smiled a bit before she grabbed the hems of her dress and lifted them. She bowed slightly towards me, her eyes glowing.

Aegis: "This queen answers the call of her summoner.~"

Aleesia looked down towards me before patting my shoulder in a somewhat excited manner.

Aleesia: "This is a beautiful thing my dear, to have such a strong spirit at your age."

The sense of draining was rapidly occurring, making me feel uneasy once more. Aegis looked towards me with a serious face before pointing into my chest.

Aegis: "You can not keep me manifested for long, you're not ready yet. I will be able to tell what's going on with my power, so do not hesitate to call me and ask for advice."

The black and white circle that made Aegis, appeared once more causing her to disappear into it. The sickening feeling of mana exhaustion stopped, though I still felt weak and slightly pessimistic from it. Aleesia made an audible sigh, her hand glowing once more, she was slowly pouring mana into me from my shoulder, the feeling of sickness rapidly began to fade away.

Well... That was certainly something... I instinctively reached up to grab Aleesia's arm, holding it with both my own, hoping that she wouldn't pull away... At that moment I felt like I needed to ground myself, to make sure I wouldn't slip away...

I had learned a lot about my magical ability, but I had also learned it's severe limitations. I would have to rely on the strength of others to get through this. I didn't know if I could stomach that. After a moment I looked up at Aleesia, still clinging to her arm.

Syvis: "Ummm... Miss Aleesia... Can I take another break?" I asked hesitantly.

Aleesia didn't respond but remained still, letting her hang out and poured mana into me. It took around 30 minutes before she stopped and placed her palm on-top of my head.

Aleesia: "You did a good job. You are still young, don't stress out over the world."

I couldn't help but feel disappointed in myself despite the groundbreaking accomplishments of the day,... but her words did comfort me a little. "Yeah..." I said simply. I still held her hand, trying to follow her advice and not to be overwhelmed…

Aleesia giggled softly rubbing my head before turning towards the doors of the temple.

Aleesia: "Well i think that is good enough for today, I am sure you want to rest properly for next time. We can continue tomorrow with your training."

I was somewhat relieved. Today had been rather demoralizing... even if it was excusable for a little girl to not be in full control of her powers on her first day, I can't say I'd ever taken failure well...

Of course... it hadn't all been a failure... I'd managed to summon a powerful spirit! That had to be something! I bowed politely to Aleesia.

Syvis: "I will! Thank you for helping me!" I smiled up at her.

The sound of armor could be heard as the guard from this morning, or what i assumed to be. Walked over before saluting to me once more, waiting for me it seemed.

Aleesia: “Do your best to rest little one, there is plenty of time for you to grow."

She turned and walked towards the temple seemingly to leave. I allowed myself to be escorted by my guard back to my room with my mother. Not knowing what fate had in store for me and Aegis.

Hellllllo! Sorry for the delay with this one, work has been kicking up and preventing me from getting things in order. The next set of chapters are going to be side chapters, this is just a heads up for you all. I am currently trying to get time to work on the next set of Syvis chapters, so for a bit, some side chapters are in order for now.
