Frederic opened his eyes. He was a bit confused for a second before remembering he was at the demon world, in Noel's home, in Noel's room, and in Noel's…bed.

He must admit that it was a really exquisite bed.

He moved his arms to get up but then felt a weight on his left side. He thought it was buried by the pillows, but then realized it was actually from Noel hugging his arm. He froze.

Noel's head was resting on his shoulder. When he tilted his head, his face would sweep on Noel's hair, directly feeling its softness. Noel's hand was around his arms while the others sprawled on his torso with his legs. Although being covered by a body, his arms didn't feel hot since Noel's body temperature was ice-like.

Could it be that he unconsciously moved to a heat source in his sleep?

Frederic stiffly shook Noel's shoulder, "Noel…Wake up. It's time for us to go."

Noel finally woke up after almost 10 minutes. He felt the comfortable warmth and snuggled closer with his eyes risking closing again, "Eric…is…warm…"

"Noel…" Frederic didn't know what to do, "You can sleep again in the carriage."

But Noel has already fallen asleep again.

In the end, Frederic carefully freed his arm before carrying him as usual. He was worried whether Noel's brothers would see it inappropriate for him to carry their brother like this.

He put Noel's pillows into his storage pouch as much as it could fit before leaving the room. When he reached the first floor, he saw that the rest were already waiting in the living room.

Frederic saw that Dervon, Welston, and Roy were in a daze with their eyes blank.

"What is the matter with them?" he asked Rose and Shaliel.

"We also don't know, Commander. They have been like this since coming out of their room. They're not injured, but they wouldn't respond to both of us." Shaliel shook her head.

Frederic recalled Noel's words last night.

Did Isabel really do something to them?

It was better if he asked them later when they've returned to the mortal world.

He shifted Noel's position to be carried with one arm. With his free hand, he snapped his fingers on their ears amplified with his energy. The three of them instantly snapped out from the shock.

"It is time to go."

They all stood up in a panic, "Yes, Commander!"

"Oh my, so energetic~"

The three of them stiffened from the voice and quickly turned their heads away from the source, not daring to look.

Isabel entered the room with a smile, "You all are very early."

"It is thanks to our biological clock, Lord Isabel." Frederic nodded in greeting.

"Don't be so formal. Just call me Isabel," he laughed before taking out a necklace with a blue crystal pendant, "This is Noel's portion of money also some of his personal inventories. It works just like mortal world's storage pouch."

Isabel handed the necklace to Frederic. When he backed away, he studied Frederic closely before chuckling, "How cute~"

Frederic, "?"

"Don't mind me," Isabel changed the subject, "I understand now that Noel really likes you. I never see his face looks so bright."

"Is that…so?"

"He is usually glum and dark every time he's awake. He never talks that much either. He probably prefers the dream world more than reality," Isabel sighed, "He never even let us come too close to him or he would immediately wake up."

There was a knock at the entrance door. Isabel permit the visitor to open it and the rest immediately saw the 'doorbell' fly towards the door. The visitor hurriedly dodged in panic.

"Lord Isabel!" the prime minister rubbed his chest to soothe it.

Isabel laughed in amusement, "Heuglen, you never cease to amaze me how innocent you are."

Heuglen became red from embarrassment and from seeing Isabel's hearty laugh. He sluggishly went closer and noticed the guests inside. He recognized Frederic.

"Prince Frederic Harteinz of Selvesthine, is that right? I didn't expect to see you here." He said in surprise.

"You must be Prime Minister Zerfnier," Frederic also recognized him and bowed slightly, "I came here to escort Noel back, but the outcome has changed."

"No…el?! Lord Noel?!! Where?!"

"Heuglen, you're always so dramatic," Isabel sighed, "And? What did you come here for?"

"Lord Isabel! How can I not be dramatic?! Lord Gavel ordered me to turn over the mortal world to find Lord Noel! I wanted to inform him that the army is ready to go, but I can't just break the 300 years long peace treaty just like that!"

He confirmed that the youth on Frederic's arm was indeed Noel. He sighed in relief and the boulder on his shoulders immediately vanished.

"Thank the devil, Lord Noel is found."

"You should relax a bit like your grandfather, Heuglen. You're always so jittery and full of worry all the time. Be a good boy and escort them back to the mortal world, hm?" Isabel gave him a peck on his cheek.

"Lord Isabel!"

Isabel swiped Heuglen's lips seductively, "Come back later if you want me to console you."

"I will politely refuse that, thank you very much!" Heuglen's voice slightly cracked. He hurriedly walked out, "Come, Prince Frederic."

The three men quickly followed him as if running away. Frederic, Rose, and Shaliel looked at each other. They awkwardly bid farewell to Isabel before leaving.

Unlike the entrance method, they could leave Alrgava whenever they want. Heuglen led them to the dark forest behind the castle. Even with the use of magic, they could only barely see their surroundings. Heuglen also told them to make sure they followed his light or else they would be stuck there for eternity.

At the end, they reached a rock wall with a tall gate door. Heuglen stretched out his hand, and a rune lit up on the door's surface before it opened. Once they crossed to the other side, it closed by itself, and the door vanished from behind them.

They instantly arrived near the border control station. They were somewhere behind a mountain. There was nobody in sight.

"The door would open somewhere with no living beings detected in 5 km radius nearest the destination we stated," Heuglen explained, "The border control station is just an hour away from here. I trust you know what to do with your newly found knowledge, Prince Frederic. If you please excuse me, there is an urgent matter I need to handle involving the safety of your world."

"Of course, thank you very much, Prime Minister Zerfnier."

The prime minister promptly vanished.

"Commander, about what he just said…" Shaliel spoke.

"What you all see, know, or hear here stay among us. I will explain the matters to the King and Queen personally."

"Yes, Commander!" the 5 people swore.

Frederic unmounted Dervon's horse for him to use and entered the carriage. Just as Heuglen said, they arrived an hour later. The formalities were a lot lesser than their arrival and they soon returned back to the mortal world.

"Noel, we have returned. Wake up." Frederic gently shook Noel's shoulder.

While he patiently waited for Noel to wake up, he couldn't help but remember Isabel's words. As for him, he would at least need 5 minutes to wake Noel up.

Was it actually a good thing for him to not be able to wake up Noel easily?

Noel half-opened his eyes, "…Lunch?"

"Not yet. Soon."

"Then, later." Noel closed his eyes back.

Frederic pulled up his body to a sitting position, "Go back to your room first, alright?"

Noel opened his eyes and obediently floated out. Frederic stepped out and faced his 3 subordinates, "Dervon, Roy, Welston, I will wait for your account on last night's event that I am unaware of."

"!!!"

"Co-co-commander! Begging you to not delve deeper upon that matter!" Roy hurriedly spoke in panic.

"We swear upon the Gods and our life that we didn't device any kind of scheme behind you. Just…Just this one matter. We will do anything you ask to keep this matter buried and sealed and never be open again!" Welston pleaded desperately.

"Even if you order us to jump into a sea of lava and dive into the mouth of a dragon, we will gladly do so as long as you exempt us from following this one order." Dervon covered his eyes with his palm and deeply bowed his head in deep remorse.

In short, they rather die than tell him what happened to them.

Rose and Shaliel were speechless.

Just what happened in the room beside them last night??

"…" Frederic stared thoughtfully at the three of them who were almost groveling on the ground, "Suspension. A month. None of you are allowed to carry your weapons in this period of time."

Usually, soldiers would be in dismay by the word 'suspension'. Not to mention, a month's ban from carrying their weapons.

But when the three men heard his verdict, they immediately cried from relief and saluted.

"Thank you very much, Commander!!"

I'm sorry for the late post!! 😭 What happened to Dervon, Welston, and Roy? 😏
