Two soldiers led the three to their respective rooms then proceeded to hand them keys to their rooms

"Thank you for guiding us" Ben thanked them politely as Rea and me did the same

The soldiers then saluted to us then silently turned around to walk through the long hallways leaving us three alone

I looked at Ben then Rea

"This sure was a crazy day huh guys" 

"Its more than crazy Colt, I thought that this kind of things only happens in anime and novels" Ben replied

"Honestly I dont know how to feel with all that's happened man"

Rea clutched her arms as she stared at the two of us

"Hey guys..., do you think that we can we s-still go b-" before Rea could finish what she can say, a girl in a maid outfit appeared before us

'Wow!, its a real maid~'

"Esteemed champions, good evening, His Majesty had asked if all of you would you like to eat in the dining hall" the maid bowed

I turned my head to my two childhood friends, I caught their tired faces in my sight

"Good evening to you too Miss maid, ummm can we just get the food delivered to our rooms if that's ok" i politely said 

"Of course that is ok master Colt"

She turned

"I will arrange it immediately, please excuse me" the maid then left the three of us

"Thank you Colt, I really just want to rest right now" Ben said

"Yeah..Thanks"

I wave my hand "Yeah no prob, you twins should learn to say what you want from time to time"

"Forget about that and lets just get inside" I added as I opened the door to my room

The room had decent space for one person with a bed in the center, tables and a wardrobe on the side, a balcony and surprisngly a bathroom

'I was expecting a super luxurious room but its unexpectedly normal, the bathroom is a plus too' 

I nodded at the twins and closed the door, I proceeded to lie down the soft bed as I place my hand over my eyes

'Rea.....you.., I want to know too' i thought as I recalled her words that were cut off by the arrival of the maid

"Sigh~ Lets just take a bath, maybe my head would be clearer by then" I got up then went to open the door to the bathroom

After I bathed, I looked inside the wardrobe as I found clothes similar to pajamas

As I changed my clothes, I also noticed a tray on the table with a glass of water and a dish that looked similar to steak and beans

'Hmm, this taste exactly like food I normally ate in Earth' I mused as I ate my meal

I then plopped down my bed as I felt my eyes slowly close from exhaustion

'The Gods huh...a meeting..tommorro..w' those were my last thougts as I felt my body fall asleep

Under a cardboard box surrounded by many trees a little boy could be seen crouched down all alone when suddenly a voice called out to him

"Hey kid!, what are you doing here in my castle, maybe....your a spy!?" a big boy with brown hair asked as he got closer to where I was

"Huh!? w-well...u-ummmm" my voice was shaken from the sudden question

"Big brother! stop scaring him or else I'll tell mommy!" yelled a little girl with short brown hair and eyes, running towards us

"W-wait! I was just asking him since he was hanging out in my castle, please dont tell mommy! she'll make me go on a hunting trip again!"

"That's just what you deserve for being a meanie, you left me just now when daddy wanted to jog around the park!"

"Jogging's boring~ and its too hot to do that kind of thing" the boy waved his hands in the air

"How could you leave me then!? I had to jog with him a while ago!"

While the two was arguing, I silently tried to leave but the two immediately noticed as soon as I got out of the cardboard box

""Hey! we're not done here""

"Hiiii!" I jumped in surprise as both of them circled around me

"So why are you at my cast-" the boy was smacked in the head by the girl

"Say sorry first!"

"Wha-"

"Say s-o-r-r-y" 

"O-ok ok!.., ...ummmm sorry for.. scaring you" the boy sheepishly bowed to me 

"Ummmm that's ok, I-Im sorry too, I didnt know that cardboard house was yours" I also apologized

"Its a castle!"

"Thats not important right now big brother" the girl ignored the boy's exclamation

"So why were you in this place all alone?" the girl asked

"...Well,..I wanted to try again to make friends at the playground by bringing all my toys to share with them..but" I looked down

"They just played with my toys... they did'nt even played with me.."

"How mean! Big brother,  please beat them up!"

"Hey why are you trying to make me fight?!"

"P-please dont beat them up, it was my fault anyway.."

""Huh? how is it your fault?""

"...Well Ive tried many times to make friends at the playground,.. at first they would let me play with them but after a while of playing they stopped letting me play with them..."

"Why? Are you a meanie when you play with them" asked the girl as she tilted her head

"N-no Im not mean to them and they're not mean to me either, its just that they say Im.....b-boring, that I'm no...fun"

"All of them has something special like that boy that runs really fast or that girl that could make shiny mud balls...I...I dont have anything like that" I shakily said as tears started to form in my eyes

""That's kind of stupid"" both of them said as a matter of factly

"H-huh?!" I looked up due to the blunt remark of the two

"So what if you cant run very fast" said the boy

"and make shiny mud balls" said the girl

""Playing is always more fun with someone"" both of them said as they wrap their arms around each other's shoulder

"I mean Mommy still praises big brother even when he can't differentiate mushrooms" said the girl 

"Oi.."

"and Daddy still praises me too even when I cant finish his exercises"

"Besides those kids sounds like jerks" the boy said

"If you want someone to play with then...become the knight of my castle hahahaha"

"I-is that ok?" I asked nervously

"Yeah!"

"I want to be the princess ok" added the girl 

Both of them took each of my hand as they dragged me towards the cardboard house

"Hey so what's your name? Im Ben Desmond and this is my twin sister, Rea"

"Hi" waved the girl

"T-twins..ummm Im C-Colt Pelter, nice to meet you both.." I stuttered

"Hey you should speak more clearly, a knight should be able to speak clearly" demanded Ben

"Like this" I said stiffly

"You need to relax more, relax~ relax~" encouraged Rea as we got inside the "castle"

"Yeah... like this~" 

"Yup just like that~, now that we're friends, let's play!" Rea then brought out a tea set by the side

"Hey, why are we having a tea party!?" Ben argued

"Because Im the princess big brother"

"Pfft! hahahahaha" I bursted into laughter 

"Dont laugh, help me!"

"Yeah sure!" I said to my two new friends

Sunlight seeped into the windows by the balcony, shining light towards the figure sleeping in bed as he slowly woke up

"Yawn~, man.. that was a nice dream.." I said as I looked at outside the window

'That sure was nostalgic...' I stared at my hand as I balled it into a fist

The rays of sunlight filling in the dark room

'Ben..Rea.. we'll get through this together' 

I stood up from my bed as I braced myself in my second day in another world
