The night passed slowly.

It was hard for me to sleep actually while being in this strange place, not only I was randomly thrown here.

But I was currently unable to gather any kind of information.

'I wish I could have seen some kind of documentary or some show that could have teach me how the hell learn a language from the scratch without no one to guide me.' With only regrets going through my head, I've had a tense sleep.

Sadly, I couldn't sleep enough, as the moment I opened my eyes, the sun was about to rise and the people around this place started doing their jobs.

As I tried to move, a horrible amount of pain engulfed my whole body, if I have to compare, like if I have been hit by a freaking bus.

"Argh" A painful grunt escaped my lips, as Zan seemed to react to it, quickly moving towards me.

He grabbed my shoulder and tried to help me while seemingly ask for something.

I just shook my head while signaling with a quick movement with my hand and pointing finger my whole body, as if I were to tell him "My whole body hurts".

'The night before didn't hurt this much, holy crap' I couldn't help but say to myself after noticing this fact.

After a few struggles to get up so I can get something to eat, I was finally able to walk out of the tent with Zan lending me his shoulder to support myself.

After a few nods towards him and walking towards a tree, I was horrified by seeing myself peeing blood.

'This is not a good signal, shit.' I thought to myself.

This could only meant that my kidneys or another organ took heavy damage. And if I have to guess, it must have been the tremors I've used the days before.

'I guess this could be expected, after all I couldn't even test correctly the freaking power. Also, I'm not freaking Whitebeard nor Blackbeard to withstand fucking tremors running amok my whole body.'

After finishing peeing the grim liquid, I started walking towards the camp once again.

'Still, I was under the impression that devil fruits couldn't be harmed by their own powers, what a scam' With my head deeply thinking of this, I made my way over Zan side and seat at his side.

I wasn't fool enough to understand that although I am completely inexperienced with the fruit and I've harmed myself, it was really a freaking plot armor to have such a thing by my side.

'And let's not think about the rest of the fruits I'm keeping currently.' I said to myself as I took a quick glance towards the tent two meters in front of me.

'Anyways, I don't know the reason to have been forceful dragged into the place by a ROB, nor why the hell they leave me in a place around devil fruits, but by no means I would waste such gift.' Reassuring to myself I began to think now in how to communicate with the people around me and start learning about this world.

A few moments later, someone bring with him three bowls filled with a soup and gave to both of us. Zan seemed to thank him while I could only simply nod to him.

Then they started to talk with themselves while the other guy took a few glances to myself.

"Renzo!" After finishing the food Zan called to me while he pointed the guy and then pointed at my fist while throwing a punch in the air.

I gulped down, as it seemed that he explained what I did back there. ' Well, it's not like I don't understand him, a random guy appeared in the forest and blown away the guys that were chasing him and killed his entire village, I would too wanted to see what hes capable off.' I quickly thought while sighing deeply and then nodding to him.

"This going to really hurt... shit." I couldn't help but said under my breath as I slowly moved into a fighting stance.

Clearly, I couldn't throw a punch randomly in this place, there were various tents and houses around, and I didn't want to kill someone randomly.

Glancing over the sky, I pointed them that I would punch upwards.

Both nodded, seemingly understanding the same thing I did, maybe even expecting this from the beginning, i couldn't really tell.

Taking a deep breath, I channeled the tremor towards my left hand. This time I took my time for just one thing, I didn't want to also vibrate alongside the tremor, so I tried to slowly made the epicenter just in my knuckles.

'If I'm not wrong, with such epicenter, it would be circular and would still fuck up everything around me.' I quickly tried to imagine the tremor moving only towards the front of my punch.

*BRRRRNNN

With the energy flowing towards that point, I quickly gathered enough strength a throw a jab towards the air.

*PEUWGH* *BRAM!*

A powerful sound echoed the whole village, as the whole ground under my feet seemed to vibrate.

Luckily it wasn't anything violent, however, the same couldn't be said to the sky.

Quickly, the clouds that were moving through the place quickly moved away, as a light blue flash engulfed the whole sky.

Noticing that light, I quickly tried to remember what such phenomena was.

'If I'm not wrong it was something related to extreme amount of energy liberated around the atoms or something else... agh! I can't remember well.' Frowning I quickly recovered my position as I moved my gaze towards Zan and the other guy, only to find them frowning very deeply.

Zan, quickly noticing my gaze, smiled towards me as he nodded, he then seemed to said something to the other guy as he also nodded to my direction, then they both quickly walked away.

'I really hope that these guys aren't thrashy like those many novels, please just once.' I begged to none in my head as I sighed.

Just know I did something really dangerous, something that in most situations would never I've have done If not for one simple reason.

I'm alone, lost and unable to really survive in this place.

And just now, I proved that I could be useful for these people.

What if they were bad or something? Well, do I really have another choice? If I wish to survive, then nothing else matters.

Zan Zhei was currently in a turmoil, in just a few days his entire world change upside down.

Just a week ago, he heard the rumors spreading about the Noxians invading their lands and killing his fellow Ionians.

Terror and fear was starting to spread around the villages that were nearest to the position that rumors said. He, like many others Ionians were hoping for the spirit of this land to protect them.

It was a tradition passed by his ancestors to rely on the old teachings and let problems be solved by peace, as the spirit of Ionia would always veil for their right.

However, just three days ago, they finally saw the flames of war in their doorstep. A messenger quickly came from the nearest village informing them about the Noxians troops marching in their village and demanding their submission.

The villagers, proud and free as they were always were refused to them saying that they only belonged to Ionia, and while they still breath would never surrender to the Noxus Empire.

Quickly after that, the soldiers started a massacre and killed everyone, without giving them a chance to even retaliate.

After hearing the messenger words, the villager of Dunpaeg quickly talked by themselves and finally decided to defend themselves, unlike the other village, this time they would put a fight.

Ionians were known for their incredibly capacity and skill regarding magic. During thousands of years, generation after generation in each family passed by ancient techniques and unique abilities that were mastered over the course of hundreds of lives.

His family also have an ancient technique passed by his grandfather to his father, and the to him.

It was a unique ability meant to protect and strengthen their bodies, as if one wanted to be a shield, they needed to stand strong and firmly against any attack that their enemies could thrown at them.

However, after hundreds of years in peace, this technique quickly adapted to the family uses, with now being a good help to being heavy objects and make constructions in short times.

Yes, their magic was meant to protect, but it uses were various and diverse depending on the user.

And on this village, each house and family did posses such kind of magic and other abilities. This was the power of Ionia, the diverse and wide amount of story in each person, plant, ground, everything.

This land breathed magic, and for this, they were unwilling to submit to others who only alter their peace.

As such, they prepared. However they were roughly underestimating the Noxians, as the moment they saw the large battalions perfectly arranged with their weapons, many of them knew they would die on this place.

When the Noxians saw the barricades and armed people in the village, their quickly ordered an attack.

Magic, arrows and abilities were thrown. The villagers were able to hold the ground for a moment, the diversity of attacks quickly took by surprise to the Noxians, that although have a large numbers of mage users and other abilities in their ranks, it was something that many learned alongside their peers.

As such, the vast difference in attacks quickly took by surprise to the more comparatively homogeneous attack launch by the Noxians.

Still, such stalemate was brief, as the moment the Noxians got accustomed, they quickly adapted and started to attack their weakness.

It was in just a moment but that was the only thing necessary for the Noxians to quickly launch themselves at the villagers.

In a matter of minutes, they quickly separate and isolated the most difficult enemies while making sure to have them be unable to reunite.

With their fates sealed, blades quickly found their ways towards the villagers bodies, many dying in such tragic way that the rest started to feel a little bit shaken by fear.

Zan Zhei for his part was alongside his parents as they defend against thirty enemies. The fire was quickly spreading in the village as the screams of pain and anger was filling his ears, he couldn't even heard what his parents were shouting to him as shock and paralysis started to take his body.

It was in such slip that ball of light was directed towards his place that his father had to sacrifice himself to protect him.

Zan was unable to react as the explosion blown him away alongside his father, breaking the protecting layer on their bodies.

Still unable to recover, he quickly took a glance around him. Seeing the gruesome massacre taking place around him, he started to run in fright.

His mother tried to shout at him among the mourning and painful expression on her face after watching her husband die in front of her.

She, however quickly followed his husband fate, as an axe quickly destroyed the spell around her body and slashed her back.

Zan, quickly running away, could only hear the screams and explosions going around, the pungent smell of blood and smoke make him feel dizzy.

He didn't know how much he ran, however, he quickly regained his senses after seeing a long black haired young man with weird black clothes standing in front of him. They both froze on their spot, Zan was frightened at first for the possibility of the man being an enemy, however after seeing that the guy didn't reassembled to any of those Noxians, nor he was wearing any kind of armor or weapons, he calmed himself.

Still, they both were caught in surprise as few Noxians quickly surrounded them, it seemed that the other guy wasn't a Noxian as he thought, knowing that he was most likely another fellow Ionian he faced his enemies.

He knew that just now he ran away from his family in fear, ashamed and angered by his action he swear in that moment he would hold the ground with the other guy and return to his village to save, if there was a chance, however was left alive.

With me now in front he guy, they quickly engaged with us, in just the first attack I ended up injured myself even more while just by sheer luck saving my life.

However, the other guy took not only me, but the Noxians by surprise, as the whole ground started to shake and we were hit by the air itself.

I was flabbergasted, as not only I wasn't able to feel any kind of magic from his movement, the amount of destruction brought was incredible for me.

The Noxians then quickly changed their target and tried to attack him, however the guy once again used his strange ability to kill them, while also injuring me in the way.

It seemed that his attacks were even too much for him to control them.

Grateful that I was able to survive, I quickly tried to close my wound with the shield.

I tried to thank him and ask if he was for some nearby village, however I quickly noticed that he didn't seemed to understand me and neither I was able.

Thus, after a simple communication, we walked back into the village and saw the destruction.

I looked for my parents and mourned over their bodies, ashamed and filled with guilt.

Then I went to help the guy to dig a grave for them, even if I won't be writing their names on the grave, the least we could do was giving them a proper burial.

The next day, a military group made its way towards us, after a quick inquire over the situation and who we were, they helped us and honored the dead.

They offered us protection in exchange for our hands to defend their bases if the time came. I quickly accepted their offer and over the other guys stead too.

He clearly wasn't from Ionia, and the spirit only knows how did he ended up here.

During our way I ended up knowing the destination of the battalions that attacked our village, it seemed that after attacking us they keep moving further into the depths of our lands, it seemed that The Placidum of Navori's was their target.

During our way we saw the destruction the armies left behind.

With the monks retreat and the struggles of different tribes and villages regarding their position against the invaders, they met close to none resistance.

The group that were currently with was recently formed after many villagers regrouped together under the banner of a few acolytes from the Kinkou order.

It seemed that a resistance was slowly taking form, I was glad that at least we have a chance.

All Ionians know that we are powerful, it just that we never required to use violence as it was never required due to the ancestral teachings passed by to us.

Peace that sadly was tainted by these beasts that came from Valoran.

The guy in charge of this small group, called Kae Fuu, started asking me for our abilities and if we wanted to fight on the front, I quickly told him that although I was willing, my magic was meant to defend rather than attack, and the best I could offer was support for more useful people, just like Renzo.

When I mentioned Renzo, he asked me about what the guy could do, I told him about the powerful punches and tremors he could produce, and how quickly he killed those Noxians.

When the surrounding guys heard my words, many of them started asking me if those Noxians were weak or something. I told them that although they didn't seemed to be officials nor something so especial, they quickly dispatched the water swordmaster from the village.

Knowing who they defeated, many were in awe, as even myself wasn't able to finish them of due to their great skills with their weapons and might.

I could defend against their attacks, once for each slash, but that was my limit.

They then tried to talk to him and I quickly reminded them that he didn't speak Ionian nor Va-Noxian.

At such we quickly made our way into the village that was acting as current headquarters in this region.

When we reached here, they arranged for us a tent and Kae told me that he would speak with one acolyte about Renzo, and if it was necessary he would test his strength later on to see where they could place us later on.

The night was uneventful, as many, just like me, where thinking about our losses and what to do.

I lost everything, and far worse, I ended up tainting the honor of my family with my cowardice.

The next day, I was woken up by the grunts of Renzo, I saw him having a few difficulties during the travel but I thought he knew how to heal himself, at such when he went to do his necessities I asked around for a healer or someone that could take a look at him.

After telling me that in a while someone would come over, I seat once again and wait for the food to be delivered.

Kae made his way and brought to us a Korax with Kiwas soup, I chuckled to myself as it seemed they wanted to lift up our spirit with Kiwas.

Who could blame them? Even myself was having a hard time imagining something positive from all of this.

Silently eating, Kae opened his mouth and told me

"The Acolytes told me they are interested in the abilities of the young man called Renzo, they want me to test his strength and put him under my charge, so if you could tell him to please show me what can he do so I can give myself an idea of where to put you all in the next patrol team." His eyes were over Renzo during all this time.

"Alright, but I have to tell you that If he throw something like he did to the Noxians, the people around us would end up getting injured." While saying this I glanced over him.

"I think he may be aware of that, after all haven't you say the he didnt seem to control his power?" Kae said.

"Renzo" I said to him, then I pointed to wards his fist and gestured his punch.

Seeing him opening his eyes and nodding towards me, he slowly got in position, he then pointed out in the sky.

I chuckled as he really seemed to not be able to control his strength.

Then I heard once again that buzzing sound. My entire body shuddered as the ground started to vibrate and the moment he throw his punch a booming sound surrounded us.

Seeing the flashes in the sky due to his punch, both me and Kae couldn't help but gulp loudly.

The power behind his punch was something that only those powerful magic users that controlled elements could replicate, or highly skilled indivuales.

After finishing his punch, Renzo glanced towards me as I nodded to him while smiling, even if we couldn't speak and understand ourselves, we both conveyed our intents with simple nods and smiles.

"I told you that his power is incredible." I said to Kae who nodded back.

"Indeed, still, knowing that he can't control it that well certainly put the group you'll both be in a hard position." Kae said to me as he started to walk "Follow me" he ordered and I followed him.

"Tomorrow, you'll both set out with this group following the trail of the attackers of your village, since we saw that they have great amount of forces, we'll use the violent power of Renzo as the initial attack while you be in charge of protecting him and the rest of your teammates. The exact orders would be given to you by your group captain." He said with a stern voice as I nodded to him.

As we both walked, we got near to a group of tents and various warriors. The majority of them held various kinds of armors and weapons.

Seeing us approaching, a tall black haired swordman and a veiled faced female walked towards us.

"As the tree burns..." Said the man.

"So do we." Answered Kae.

They both nodded as Kae continue "This man at my side is the new addition of your group, alongside his friend that is currently resting and getting his wound tended, you can ask him for the details you wish to know, I only came to inform you and guide him, also before sunset, I'll give you the next details needed for tomorrow patrol." Hearing his words the other man and female nodded while Kae turned to me.

"Bring later on your things with Renzo, and tell him the necessary information, tomorrow we'll see again." With those words he turned around and leave.

I turned towards my two new teammates as I said

"Zan Zhei, from the Dunpaeg Village and user from Shield magic." With a small bow I present myself.

"Shun Ti, from the Pulgi Village. Apprentice from the Moeru Ha No Michi." The man presented himself as I opened both my eyes wide open.

"Kirae, from the Tanjuul Temple. Assassin." the female also made her presentation just after the guy.

'Tanjuul Temple? How did she ended up here?' I asked to myself while nodding towards both.

Seeing both presenting themselves, I quickly asked them with a smile "Well, want to meet the other guy too?"
