An YunXi was officially finished with the TV drama he had been working on, he had his phone and he now needed to run away before his manager ties him up and presents him another job. 【Blooming Blossom】was An YunXi's first drama, although he wasn't so enthusiastic about it, he couldn't help feel a bit accomplished.

"Shen RuYi, Come! Come! Look! I managed to get some really good roles for you!" Jin Hai cheered.

An YunXi sighed as he looked at the manager, not knowing if he should laugh or cry. An YunXi stared at the roles and found something he particularly liked.

The role wasn't anything big, but the meaning it had was rather important. The character he would be playing was called, Xue MingYin, a young man that was drafted in the military even though he had a frail body. Xue MingYin's older sister, the female lead, ended up registering herself as a man and trying to stick with her frail younger brother. The two end up in the military on their way to war. Xue MingYin was favored by his platoon's captain, while his sister was somewhat despised. The female lead had too push through many hardships, feeling as if always being compared to his weak, but smart younger brother. Xue MingYang had fallen hard for the platoon's captain, but he thought that Xue MingYang was a man and didn't like the thought of another man liking him in a romantic sense. The reason why the captain was kind towards Xue MingYin was because he (XMY) reminded him (captain) of his own little brother that he lost when he was younger. The boy seemed to be like a cannon fodder in the romance between the male and female lead. He didn't know why he found the role slightly pleasing to the eye, but he felt that it was a good role.

An YunXi pointed the role too Jin Hai and the man rapidly nodded his head as if he was injected with chicken blood. "I also think this role is very good, although this is for a weekly drama." Jin Hai commented.

"It is fine, it will most likely come out before【Blooming Blossom】" An YunXi informed.

"Oh! YES that is good, really good, more publicity!!!" Jin Hai said, and before running off he added, "I will go tell the director."

"..." An YunXi didn't really understand why mister manager had went crazy as if he won the lottery, but right now he focused on the fact that he wanted to pretend he did not know the mad man.

An YunXi walked into the set the next week for the new project. 【Rushing Through Rivers】was the name of the weekly drama he would be starting.

"Hello, I'm Shen RuYi, from now on I will be in your care, please take care of me." An YunXi announced to the crew politely with a very honest boy and bright eyes.

"AH AH AH! So pretty, so kind, so handsome!" the makeup artist at the set cried out in response of An YunXi.

"..." the response of all the males on set too the makeup artist.

"Sister, If you compliment me too much I will begin to blush." An YunXi commented, trying to blend in with the others, but failing miserably. He now know what it meant to pick up a stone only too drop it on your own foot, or the metaphor too dig your own grave.

Acting polite seemed to be more attention grabbing then not saying anything, but no! Either way An YunXi seemed too grab the attention of others. Why did the body that he had too wake up in have too look so nice. Ah~

An YunXi was then dressed up and painted with makeup to shoot the scene after introducing himself to everyone. The director of this drama was a young man in his early thirties, Zhang KeShi. He was a newcomer in the directing industry, but was very enthusiastic about the job. He was lucky to find an investor for this and as his first drama he didn't want anything too go wrong.

"Hello Shen RuYi! Can I call you Xiao Ru? You can call me Sister Xun!" The actress said to An YunXi, with a bright smile.

An YunXi wasn't sure how to respond, but the easiest response to give was "Okay, Sister Xun."

The Actress had an even bigger smile as she looked at An YunXi. "Yay!" she cheered.

An YunXi seemed too be getting the hang of living in the unusual world. Although there are times when he gets depressed he still tries his best to keep going. He doesn't even know why he is trying thought. An YunXi has always had a hard time with expressing his emotions, but lately he feels that it is getting even harder. He doesn't know what he feels. He doesn't know what he is supposed to do. An YunXi feels that right now, going with the flow is the best options, once he learns more about the world he might know more. Or maybe he still won't know what to do.

An YunXi believes that fighting is all he was good for, so now he will fight for living head on. Even if he can no longer battle with a sword or a fist, he will simply learn to fight with his words and his facial expression. Something that is completely new to him. But, he always believed that it was never too late to learn something because this was life, not a game.

An YunXi decided that interacting with others in a polite manner seems to make them like him, and treat him well. This would help if he needed something from them later on.

"Shen RuYi... Xiao Ru, I can't wait too film with you! Let's both do are best and try not to get NG." Wang MeiXun, the female lead, encouraged.

"Yes, let's do our best."

The two of them collected their scripts and went on individually to look over it.

Xue MingYin sits up on the bed while looking out the window, pale and fragile, with eyes filled with deep sadness and despair, as if there is no hope for the future.

Xue MingYang enters the room, with a pained expression with an envelope from the military.

Xue MingYang silently hands the envelope too Xue MingYin, and the opened envelope will have a letter that will bring Xue MingYin death.

Tears come out of MingYang's eyes as she looks at her brother. And her brother gives her a sad smile after 30 seconds of looking at the letter.

[Xue MingYin] : Sister, I will be fine. No longer need to worry for me.

Xue MingYang will cry in grievance hugging her brother for 15 seconds before quieting down and turning the sounds too muffled sobs. Then burying her face into her brother's neck before lifting up her head too give a dark glare of resolution.

End Scene.

An YunXi didn't really understand what type of smile he had to give. And so, he rushed over too Wang MeiXun to look for advice.

"Sister Xun, what do they mean by a sad smile? Why say he is fine when he knows he is going to die? Does he not wish to show his grievance, but is in too much pain too hide it?" An YunXi asked with a look that felt like he was an innocent puppy.

"Xiao Ru." Wang MeiXun said with a gentle smile showing a different persona then the chirpy expressiveness she had before. "Xue MingYin does not like too worry his sister, he knows that he will die, when a person feels like they are a burden there are times when they wished their loved ones will leave them behind, but at the same time they do not wish to be abandoned. It is as if they test their loved ones. Xue MingYin is a pitiful child, but his heart and mind are much stronger than his body. He tests his sister, but at the same time is expressing genuine feeling of wanting to relieve her from her pain. So, Xiao Ru, what do you think would be the best expression? A bitter smile too show his distaste for the situation? A genuine feel of worry? Who is Xue MingYin? That is what you must find. Who is MingYin and how does he feel? What does he want? Xiao Ru this is a troublesome task that all actors must learn how to do. When that camera starts filming, I am no longer Wang MeiXun I am Xue MingYang. And when you step into your role, it is who you are until the director shouts cut. That is what us actors do. We are not us, we are the people that live in the world as those characters. We bring them from text and make them alive." she said with a deep expression as she philosophies the meaning of acting.

An YunXi stared at the actress with a hazed expression. He didn't really know what she was saying, but for some reason he understood what she meant.

An YunXi thought about it before squatting down from where he was standing and started to read the script once more.

Who was Xue MingYin?

An YunXi had re-read the whole script over and over again till he decided. MingYin was a complicated character. He was an idiot, but also a genius. An YunXi could feel that he was twisted but also very delicate in mind. MingYin was fragile, his mentality was both firm at times and bendy at others. An YunXi felt that he could understand the boy. And the more he interpretation, the more he began to cherish this character, the more he wanted to express him. An YunXi's eyes soon started to have a firm resolve, and Wang MeiXun couldn't help but smile when she looked at the young boy. She was a 25 year old woman, acting for more than 10 years, and she felt that helping this boy who was seven years younger was a great achievement. She didn't know why, but she felt that the boy was like a small child, still confused about the world, and she felt it was her duty to protect and cherish him.

Wang MeiXun didn't know when this motherly feeling started to develop and they had only just met. What was the logic in that?

But who cares?

She then joined the little idiot squatting on the floor, opening her own script book and reading through too capture the essence of Xue MingYang.

The two little mushrooms squatted in the middle of the set and went along with analyzing the script. Soon another mushroom joined, then another, then another... until all actors seemed to become little mushrooms squatting on the floor reading their script all exchanging their ideas and asking for advice.

The environment of the group was rather carefree and was very warm. The young director couldn't help but smile when seeing how all the actors were acting so silly. He thought how would the fans react when seeing their idols gather around like mushrooms looking like idiots while exchanging thoughts.

Filming was going to start tomorrow, today was too collect the script and greet the crew. But it turned into a little mushroom festival. When Jin Hai walked in too collect his actor...

He was utterly shocked to see that he was in the center of a field of idol mushrooms ?....

"Shen RuYi...... time to go...." when Jin Hai called for An YunXi, he felt as if he were picking up his child from daycare. The center mushroom looked up when he heard his name being called, showing a cute expression of being confused.

"Oh...." An YunXi responded like a disappointed child that thought it was too early to go home.

"..." hey, I am not your daddy!!! Jin Hai thought without speaking.

The other actors looked at Jin Hai when realizing he would be taking away their center mushroom, all exposing a childish depressed pout.

"..." you will see him tomorrow!!! Jin Hai complained, not realizing he sounds exactly like a mother...

"Let's go." He said one more time. "I will give you something good to eat~" Jin Hai bribed sweetly.

"..." he won't fall for that! The mushroom posse thought.

"Okay!" An YunXi jumping up and rushing to get to the door. The actors were a bit shocked, but felt more disappointed that their center mushroom had been bribed.

An YunXi originally did not like food. It was only something that helped him keep running, but once coming too this new world, he found out that food here was much tastier than where he came from. An YunXi had gain the habit of snacking after coming here, but he didn't mind. He needed something extra to do so that his dark thoughts won't come invading his rather underused mind.

After coming to this new world, not only has he started to like food and snacks, he started to become smarter and read much more. Sure he learned poetry, but he was never smart enough to interpret it on his own. The poems he made were too be sung when he plucked the strings of the guqin. but they were rather simple poems. An YunXi wanted to blend in, so if he didn't know the most common knowledge things, then wouldn't he stick out even more? The great general An was now making it his mission to survive and strive in this absurd world. An YunXi obediently followed Jin Hai too the car.

Looking at Jin Hai, An YunXi said, "where is my snack....?"

Jin Hai looked at his little model with an exasperated expression. "Is the only reason you heard was for the food?"

"... Yes ..."

"If I don't give you a snack will you run back?"

"... Don't ask questions you don't want the answer too."

"..."

Jin Hai then started the car and said, "I will bring you too 7 and get you potato chips."

"Potato chips?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Good."

And so the two men drove off too a 7 eleven to get Shen RuYi a bag of potato chips.
