The camera opens up to Izuku and Mirio walking down the street and two civilians notice them.

Civilian 1:"Oh, heroes!"

Civilian 2:"It's the boy who was in the U.A. sports festival on TV."

Izuku:"I-I'm nervous..."

Mirio:"You must've at least gone on patrol at your internship, right?"

The two civilians walk past them.

Mirio:"Oh, was the League of Villains attack too traumatic?"

Izuku:"No, but for various reasons, I wasn't able to experience the basics..."

Mirio:"Really? That's strange, right? But don't worry! Sir and Bubble Girl are the ones actually watching the target today. And Io is partoling the whole city as we speak. We're just on patrol!" *Gives Izuku a thumbs up.* "I'll teach you a bunch of stuff. Stick with me!"

Mirio gets pumped up and Izuku thinks for a little bit.

Mirio:"Now that I think about it, we haven't told each other our hero names, huh?"

Izuku:"Th-That's true... I'm Deku."

Mirio:*Confused.*"Deku? Deck? Your okay with that?"

Izuku:"I am."

Mirio:"I'm Lemillion. I don't have to save everyone, but 1,000,000... Not all, but a million-- That's what I want to do, so that's why I chose Lemillion! Once we put on our costumes and go out into the streets, we're heroes. Don't let your guard down, Deku!"

Izuku:*Nods.*"I won't, Lemillion!"

Izuku and Mirio continue their partoll. They walk by an alleyway and a little girl runs out of it and into Izuku. She falls down to the ground and Izuku crouches down to her. The girl has bandages on her arms and legs.

Izuku:"Sorry, that must've hurt." *Izuku reaches a hand out to her and she gets scared and he pulls is hand back.* "Can you stand? Are you okay?"

Izuku starts to pick her up and she starts to shake.

Izuku:'She's trembling?'

Overhaul:"Now, you know..." *Eri flinches.*

Overhaul walks out of the alleyway and Eri looks to him.

Overhaul:"..you can't go around causing trouble for the heroes."

Izuku realises who he is and starts to sweat a little.

Izuku:'No way...'

Overhaul:"I'm sorry about my daughter, hero. She likes to play around a lot and keeps getting hurt. I don't know what to do with her."

Izuku:'Shie Hassaikai's Chisaki...The man Nighteye and Io are after...'

Mirio puts Izuku's mask over his head.

Mirio:"Your hood and mask came off again. Maybe the sizing's off?" *He looks to Overhaul.* "We're sorry, too, for bumping into her."

Izuku:'Oh yeah, my expression...! My "no way" feeling showed up on my face. If he suspects anything, it'll impede Nighteye's and Io's work.'

Mirio:"With that lovely mask, you must be from the Hassaikai, right? You guys are famous around here."

Overhaul:"Yes, don't worry about the mask. I'm sensitive to filth. It's my first time seeing you two heroes."

Mirio:"Right! We're still new, so we're pretty nervous. Now, stand up, partner! Let's hand toward a future we haven't seen yet!"

Overhaul:"What agency do you belong to?"

Mirio:"We're students! We're still so new that it would be presumptuous to identify with an agency. We're just gaining some experience in different places for our internships."

Overhaul:"I almost thought you guys we're with Io's agency since he's been in the city for a few days. Wait, he can't do internships since the incident at Kimino ward."

Mirio:"Nope we wish we were interning with him. Anyway, we need to finish patrolling this division by lunch. Let's go!"

Mirio start to walk away.

Izuku:"Right!"

Izuku goes to stand up but Eri tightens her grip on Izuku.

Eri:"D...Don't go..."

Izuku:"U-Um... Your daughter... seems scared..."

Overhaul:*Narrows his eyes at Izuku.* "It's because she just got a scolding."

Mirio:"Let's go!"

Izuku:"Wait, but..."

Izuku:'This girl... She's grabbed me and won't let go.'

Izuku:"Her bandages don't seem like they're from playing too much... " *A tear falls from Eri's eye.*

Overhaul:"She falls a lot."

Izuku:"For such a small child to be trembling like this without making a sound... I don't think that's normal..."

Overhaul:"Please don't force you own 'normal' on other people's families."

Mirio:"Everyone has different dispositions, right?" 'Stop it Chisaki obviously doesn't want you to pry. If he becomes more cautious, then he'll be even less likely to show himself. Let's just let it go.'

Izuku:'No, he'll be more suspicious then. It's unnatural! A hero wouldn't just let a scared child go.'

Izuku:"What are you doing to this girl?"

It's silents for a few seconds.

Overhaul:*Sighs.* "Jeez, heroes are so sensitive to the subtle signs in people, huh? Very well. It's embarrassing to talk about it. People are watching here, so will you come this way with me?" *He starts to walk down the alleyway."

Izuku stands up and carries Eri. Mirio and Izuku nod to each other and follow Overhaul.

Overhaul:"Actually, recently, I've had a lot of problems with Eri. She just keeps defying me no matter what I say."

Izuku:'Abuse...?'

Mirio:"Parenting, huh? It must be hard."

Overhaul:"Yes, children are hard to understand." *He reaches down to his left hand glove.* "They feel like they can and will become someone..."

He's about to pull off his glove and Eri notices.

Overhaul:"They seriously think that..."

Eri jumps off of Izuku and runs to Overhaul.

Izuku:"Huh?"

Eri reaches Overhaul and stops.

Overhaul:"What, done with your tantrum already?"

Eri nods and Overhaul lets go of his glove.

Izuku:"Huh? Um, Eri...?"

Overhaul:"She's always like this. I'm sorry you had to listen to my problems, too. Sorry for the trouble." *They start to walk away.* "Well, do you best at work."

Izuku:"Wait--" *He starts to walk forward but Mirio stops him.* "Why...?"

Mirio:"We're not going after them. Didn't you notice? He showed his killing intent to pull that girl back to him. If we chase them too far, it'll be even harder to catch him. Let's ask Sir what to do."

Later.

Izuku is standing on top of a building and it's raining. He's completely soaked. He has Dammerung over his shoulder and the camera moves to show Io's face. He has dark bags under his eyes and a tired look on his face.

Io then jumps off the building and hops from roof to roof. He runs along a roof top and jumps to another. He stops when his phone suddenly rings. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and answers it. 

Io:"Hello?"

Someone talks on the other end and.

Io:"Yeah, I'll meet you guys there."

Io puts his phone away and jumps off the roof.

Later.

Izuku, Mirio, Bubble Girl, and Nighteye are standing at a corner of a street.

Mirio:"Sorry! It was an accident! I never thought we'd run into him like running into a transfer student at a crossroads..."

Nighteye puts his hand up.

Nighteye:"No, this was my fault. We could've avoided this if I'd used Foresight on you two beforehand."

Bubble Girl:Anyway, I'm just glad you're alright. If you'd acted carelessly and made him suspicious, you might've been in danger."

Izuku:"It didn't seem that scary..."

Io:"Sorry I'm late."

They look to the side and see Io walking over.

Io:*Yawns.* "I was on the other side of the town." *Io wipes some water from his eyes.*

Nighteye:"It's fine. Back on topic. The other day, as a band of robbers was escaping, there was a truck accident that involved some people. The people involved were Chisaki and others from the Hassaikai. But there were zero casualties. Those from the band of robbers felt intense pain and passed out, but for some reason, they were uninjured, and even chronic ailments like rheumatism and cavities were completely gone. They thought this was due to Chisaki's Quirks, but because they caught the villains and no one was injured, there wasn't anything to accuse him of."

Bubble Girl:"But they said that all the money that was stolen burned up and nothing was left. The police found no sign of a crime in that regard, but either way, it seemed suspicious, so Nighteye Agency started watching them. We don't know what they're thinking, but we do know that they act when they must."

Mirio:"Oh, right, Sir! I guess this is a lucky break, but we got some new intel, right? Chisaki has a daughter!"

Io:*Spurised.* "What?!"

Nighteye:"A daughter?"

Izuku:"He called her 'Eri.' Her arms and legs were wrapped in bandages..." *Io frowns and fists tighten.*  "I don't know anything about her, but she was asking for help... If there was any way we could protect her..."

Nighteye looks to Izuku and points at him.

Nighteye:"Don't think so arrogantly."

Izuku:*Gasps.* "That's.."

Nighteye: "Haste makes waste. If you rush to chase after them, then they'll be more likely to escape. You're not so special that you can save anyone you want whenever you want. Currently, we are also requesting that other agencies team up with us. First, we must predict what our opponent will do and after analyzing it, arrange for the most complete preparation possible. This world isn't so lenient that you can save her with good intentions. The truly wise villains hide in the shadows. Know that sometimes, things will take time. The two of you should go back to the office today."

Nighteye starts to walk away.

Nighteye:"Bubble, let's go."

Bubble Girl:"Yes, sir!"

Io looks to Izuku and Mirio.

Io:"Just be glad he didn't do anything drastic. But be careful this incident could have made them more cautious now."

Io stretches his legs.

Io:"I'm heading home now." *He jumps to the top of a building.* "See you kids later." *He runs off.*

Later.

Everyone is back in Class 1-A. Bakugo is a little beat up.

Mina:"What's up with Bakugo? Was he fighting again?"

Denki:"Oh, the girls didn't see him yet? Take a look at Todoroki, too."

Mina:"Ah, it messed up his pretty face! What happened?"

Denki:"Apparently, the provisional license classes are harsh."

Mina:"Must be good for jocks!"

Bakugo:*Angry.* "Stop talking about us like we're not here!"

Tenya:"Class is starting! Uraraka and Tsu haven't come yet?"

Momo:"They have excused absences, Class Rep."

Jiro:"Of the boys, Kirishima isn't here, either."

Sero:"Oh, you didn't hear? All three of them found places to do their work studies at."

Jiro:"Seriously?!"

Mineta is slapping his hand on Izuku's desk. Izuku looks like he's lost in thought.

Mineta:"Hey, how was your work study? Was there a super perverted female hero there?!"

Izuku:"Uh..."

Bakugo covers his ears.

Bakugo:*Angry.* "Don't talk about stuff you're ahead of me on!"

Izuku is distracted all day and when school ends he heads to the teachers lounge looking for All Might and Io. But when he gets there they're both not there.

Midnight:"All Might's out jogging. Io joined him too. You didn't know? After finishing the home visits, All Might for some reason, he started working out. If he's retired, he should just take it easy."

The camera moves to show All Might and Io jogging. Their in gym uniforms and Io has his cape on. All Might stops and coughs. Io stops and takes a drink from a bottle that has some blood in it. They hear some running and turn around and see Izuku running very fast towards them.

Izuku:"All Might! Io!"

All Might:*Freaking out.* "Young Midoriya is here?!"

Io:*Calm.* "So fast."

Izuku gets to them and he puts his hands on his knees, taking a few deep breaths.

All Might:"How did you know we were here?"

Izuku takes a few more deep breaths and All Might turns to keep jogging.

Izuku:"Did you two know everything?"

All Might stops and Io tilts his head.

Izuku:"That Nighteye knew about One For All, and that he wanted it to go to Togata? You two knew, didn't you? Why didn't you both tell me?"

Io looks away from Izuku, with a slightly guilty look on his face.

All Might:"I wonder... if I needed to tell you..."

Izuku:"Of course you did! All this new information coming at once,  and getting rejected before I could make sense of it all...! More than that, I didn't understand your intentions! I don't understand why you're keeping it a secret, so I don't know how to feel! Why didn't you tell me?"

Izuku:"Not as your fan, but as you successor, I want to know everything!"

The camera moves to Io's face and his hair is covering his eyes and the wind blows moving his hair. Io has a sad look in his strange yellow eyes.

All Might:"I don't think knowing would do you any good."

Io:*Turns away.*"It wasn't my place to say anything."

All Might:"Do you really want to know?"

Izuku:"It's better than having you two continue to keep it secret from me."

All Might:"Don't regret this."

Izuku:"I won't."

Io sighs.

All Might:"Nighteye had always been a big fan of mine. It was my policy to not have a sidekick, but I gave in and allowed him to be one. We worked together for about five years. He supported me as the brain behind my operations."

Izuku:"I know. I also know you two got along."

All Might puts a hand over his injury.

All Might:"Yeah. But six years ago, we dissolved our partnership because of my injury. We valued different things."

Flashback.

Nighteye:"That's reckless, All Might. You should retire. You and Io."

Io is standing next to Gran Torino. He has a bunch of bandages wrapped around him and he's using a cane. Grandeeney is also standing next to Io. Io looks to be in slight pain.

All Might:"Everyone's... looking for me... If they're waiting... I have to go..."

Nighteye:"If you keep being a hero in that body, it'll just make everyone suffer. For the peace that you wish for, too, you should retire while you're still a legend. Io's already slowly moving to retirement, becoming a teacher more and more."

Nezu:"If you're looking for a successor, you can look as much as you want at my school. You've worked hard enough."

Nighteye:"You can have a good night's sleep in a nice, soft bed. Find someone cheerful, strong, and approachable-- someone like you--and entrust it to them."

All Might:"And who will be the Symbol until I find someone like that? Even if All For One is gone, someone will replace him soon."

All Might starts to limp away and Nighteye runs up and grabs him.

Nighteye:"I understand your theory about the Symbol! I hold it in great esteem. But... see? You can't smile at all, can you? I'll say it again. You should retire. If you continue with your hero activities like this, then I will not support you. I can't. I don't want to."

All Might gasps and looks to Nighteye.

All Might:"Did you see it? Didn't I tell you that you didn't have to use your Foresight on me?"

Nighteye:"Even if you retire, the next number one will appear! Things might get rough for a while, but we might be able to avoid that!"

All Might:"In that sort time...how many people will have to be afraid?" 

Nighteye:"All Might!"

All Might limps forward.

All Might:"Besides... your Foresight has never been wrong, has it?"

Nighteye:"There has just been no precedent! I will...change the future! At this rate, it'll all go according to my Foresight! That can't happen! I... I'm here because I wanted to do something to help you! All Might!"

All Might:"For the sake of the world... I shouldn't be here, Nighteye."

Nighteye:"All Might! If you continue like this, you'll drag Io with you, and you'll both face of against villains and die unspeakably gruesome deaths!"

The camera switches back to the present and looks at the backs of Io and All Might. The wind blows and their hair flows in the wind.

All Might:"We were divided about my future... Nighteye and I parted ways after that argument. Principal Nezu recommended Young Togata to me, but before I met him, I ended up meeting you."

All Might:"I didn't want to tell you. Sorry. Because... you're our fan."

Io:"Sorry."

Io and All Might continue their jog.

Izuku stands there stuned.

Izuku:"All Might and Io... are going to die...."

Izuku starts to think back on all the fights Io and All Might had.

Izuku:"Die..."

All Might and Io jog around a corner and Izuku runs after them.

Izuku:"Please, wait! Wait, All Might! Io! How far into the future was Nighteye's Foresight?"

All Might:"Six or seven years in the future, he said. Apparently, the further into the future, the less accurate the time, but what he sees with his Foresight has never changed."

Izuku:"Then... It'd be this year or next year...!"

Io:*Sighs.* "Not for me... Nighteye's Foresight predicted I'd either die this year....or last year. And the end of the year is coming up."

Izuku:"No... Why...? I don't want this, All Might. Io. Live! Do you remember what you said at the sports festival? Our promise? I couldn't keep my promise! Please live until I can keep my promise! Stay alive and watch me tell the world, 'I am here!' All Might! Io!"

All Might puts his hands on his hip and Io brushes a hand through his hair.

All Might:"Young Midoriya, you know, when I heard the prediction, I accepted it pretty readily. If I could see the finish line--the end--then I'd run until then."

Io:"I was honestly a little scared but, I wanted to keep doing what I love."

Izuku:"That's..."

All Might:"When we fought All For One, I thought that was the finish line"

All Might looks to Izuku.

All Might:"But you were there."

Izuku starts to cry.

All Might:"You--timid, Quirkless you--and all the days we spent together affected me. And those days whispered to me, telling me to live. And then, your mother told me to live and protect and raise you! After all this time, I'm going to fight. You changed me. I will live!"

Io:"So will I."

All Might:"We will twist fate and anything else into the shape we want with these arms!"

Io puts his left arm up in the air.

Io:'I have too many people counting on me, too many people left to train. I won't die until I've finished all I want to do.'

All Might poofs back into his skinny form.

All Might:"But after going through all this, I've reached this conclusion. In the end, it has turned out the way Nighteye said it would. That's why... I can't face him after all this time... I didn't want to become a shackle to you as you ran to get stronger with everything you had..."

Io:"Well, there is a possibility we've already twisted fate into the shape we wanted."

Izuku:"Not yet...We still can't tell if the prediction has changed... I don't want this, All Might... Io... I absolutely refuse it."

Izuku:"I...No matter what happens to you both, I will twist fate with you two!"

All Might and Io fist bump him.

All Might:"I'll do my best to not cause you trouble."

Io:"I'm sorry for the trouble I'll probably cause."

Izuku smiles at them. All Might and Io go to continue their jog.

Izuku:"Oh, wait. You should have Nighteye use his Foresight on you both again. Make up with him, All Might, so we can see if the future's already been changed!"

All Might:"Wouldn't that be too convenient?"

Io:"And I wouldn't rather not know if I am going to actually die soon."

Izuku:"It's a matter of life and death! I'll try to bargain with him!"

All Might:"Wait, young man! Think about how Nighteye will feel!"

Io:"It's really late for this."

The camera pans to a view of all the dorms then turns black.
