Trial and Treasures 1

I heard what they were talking about some secret entrance but what I wonder is that how the hell did they find a secret entrance in library and in such an organisation.

Looks like this organisation is quite old and has deep roots, 

To think that there are secret entrances found in Organisation and not by their high ranking memeber but a mere sweeper , its quite funny but there must indeed be something precious there if it's a secret passage,

I must go and try my luck there and maybe I can get a solution to my current problem of my mana circuit.

But what about those guys, I must make proper plans before heading out.

I have only night's 🌃 time.

I quickly make my way towards my room and start planning.

Next morning

I arrived 2 hours before my shift and was waiting for them while doing miscellaneous works here and there .

Soon enough their group enters the library.

Firstly they don't do anything and just do their regular works 

'How clever.'

Then after some time of observing them secretly, I saw them all make eye contact with each other and nod very slowly,

Slowly the first person out of the group of 3 made his way to the back of library while pretending to be cleaning,

I waited,

After half an hour,

The second memeber made his way back while doing his jobs ,

After One hour , 

Now there was much crowd than before and taking this chance the third memeber quickly and cleverly made his way back to meet his friends,

They must be thinking that no one has noticed them and no one would have noticed them considering their clever techniques but I already knew what they were planning or else even I would not have noticed it.

I also took this golden opportunity of crowdy atmosphere and followed them form a little distance.

They all gathered near a bookshelf and the first memeber along with the other two shifted a heavy bookshelf and I can see very well that underneath the shelf, the ground was a little distorted like someone dug it out and my guess was at mark when the second person kicked it with some force that underground stairs were visible which were leading to downstairs.

They all looked at each other and nodded.

After all of them entered they covered the hole from inside with the wooden plank which was there earlier.

I came near the plank and put my ear against it and I could hear there footsteps.

After ensuring that there footsteps were no longer audible, I kicked the plank and entered in too.

I made sure to properly cover it again with the plank so that in case if someone comes they could only see it as a part of floor only from outside.

I made my way downstairs and I began hearing their footsteps again after some time of walking so I guessed that they are ahead of me, 

The underground was dark with a few torches lit on walls so it was hard to see ,

Some time after following them I suddenly heard a loud scream, I quickly hid in a corner and found them ahead of me and to take a better view of situation, I came a bit more forward and I hear them 

"Shit! There are traps in this cave, You fool, can't you be more careful"

"Dammit! my leg hurts from that arrow"

Said one of them whi had an arrow implanted in his leg.

"We must be careful from now onwards, if there are such traps then there must be some good treasures also."

Hearing what he said there eyes shone with greed 

"For now I will use a basic heal to heal you "

The one who spoke used magic and healed the other's leg.

Looks like they know a bit of magic, I should be more careful.

They resumed their journey and I again started following them while keeping appropriate distance.

We were walking for 2hours now and I was starting to get tired.

But soon a huge door was visible.

"Look at that , treasures must be behind that door"

"Let's go"

"Yeah, we suffered a lot of traps along the way so this must be the place where treasures are kept ".

They all opened the door and went in and I saw the door closing so I quickly entered before the door fully closed, the door was closed soon enough and i was luckily inside and I quickly went near a corner and soon I heard them 

"What the hell, why did it close?!"

"damm there is nothing here except this statue!"

"There is also no further entrance, damm this must be a trap maze alll along to kill people and torture them,we should not have came here"

While they were bickering, the eyes of statute which resembled a golem lit up and it started moving.

As soon as it moved it started attacking their group, 

"Dammit!"

They cursed and started avoiding it's attack.

"if we want to survive we must kill it before it kills us!!"

"Attack!"

They also started attacking it with their magic.

After continuous fighting for what seemed to be 4 hours they finally managed to defeat it but at what cost,,

Two of the members died and the last one was too exhausted that he might faint but soon cracking sound could be heard and a door appeared next to where statue was and a voice was heard saying, 

"Well done you have cleared the 1st trail of Wizard Anthony, you may proceed to take your reward"

"The first man who survived was panting but he looked quite happy even after death of his comrades and there was greed in his eyes but he was not in a condition to even walk."

'Hehe now is my time to strike'

I swiftly and silently made my way behind him, he was unable to notice because of his current situation,

He finally notices something amiss and turns backwards only to see me with a metal rod that I strike him 

The person fainted .

'He has fainted, but should I kill him , I have never killed anyone before, if I don't kill him, my secret will be revealed and I don't know what will await me' 

'I have to do it so...'

Strike!

'Sorry I must kill you"

Strike!

I killed him with the metal rod , I steeled myself not to feel disgusted as I will face such situations in future too.

In order to become strong from a weak fodder I must ignore my morals and conducts and do what it takes to achieve my goal.

I entered the treasure room and I saw that at the end of room there is another door and there is something written there but I will read it later as first I must check my spoils.

I saw there were some gold coins which were not much but enough to survive for some months , I saw some weapons , some old documents about magic theory which I will study later, 

'Wow what a beautiful ring'

What I saw in front of me was a beautiful ring 💍,

The ring had a light blue gen which was glowing brightly indicating it's without owner or the owner died , the ring metal was white in colour with some beautiful patterns, it looks mesmerising and I doubt only a few Royals could have such a beautiful ring.

I quickly wore it and then I remembered that I can't use mana so how the hell will I access it but my worries were for nought as the ring automatically recognised me as owner and I found a connection to the ring in my mind.

I then entered the ring space to see what's inside and there were some books and some weapons, some clothes which were very beautiful too and at last a bottle containing a purple liquid.

It had a great fragrance just coming from closed bottle,

I knew it was some type of elixir and I also hoped it could help me open up my circuits, I will try after reading what's written on that door first, 

I came near door and saw what's written , I don't know this language but I can read it magically and it said that,

'If you want the inheritance of me, Anthony, the Great Wizard, you must complete alll the trials and obtain it as only worthy enough people can obtain my inheritance'

I noted it's words and I will definitely continue but first I must increase my strength even if little as I saw how that golem killed those people and I can't carelessly risk my life so I must make proper plans first,

I come to the centre of room and store everything in my ring and now the room was empty ,

I sat there and took out the elixir and drank it before wishing that it will help me, it will help me !

"Gulp, Gulp, Gulp'.....
