(this chapter is a bit confusing, because the mc describes education in cultivation terms)

Jiang Qiao cleaned up the dining table and kitchen after dinner, while Bai Yueling stood by and glanced at him, unsure what to say.

A few minutes later, he washed his hands with a tissue, believing that his culinary skills were outstanding.

For Jiang Qiao, he would rather use the time cooking on playing a video game, and save money.

He couldn't, though, since the human body needed energy to survive.

“Have you finished reading that book?.”

Bai Yueling nodded: “It is unimaginable that a weak country can become so strong in just a few decades.”

“The people have faith, the nation has hope, and the country has strength.”

Jiang Qiao smiled and continued, "An immense power can always explode at any time, as long as we unify all the people."

Bai Yueling considered all she had seen in the city today; this is a country that demonstrates democracy, civilization, and freedom everywhere.

“What do you think about your initial contact with this world?” Jiang Qiao curiously asked.

“If I can successfully integrate, will I be considered a member of this country?” Fairy Bai asked rhetorically.

“It’s still a bit early.”

Jiang Qiao walked over and sat down on the sofa: “In modern society, everyone will have their own identity information. Even if you settle here, you can only be regarded as an immigrant household.”

“Unless…”

Jiang Qiao glanced at her and continued: “You can get your own ID card, and this ID card is issued by a relevant state agency, which is equivalent to acknowledging that you are a legal citizen of the country.”

“An ID card?.”

Jiang Qiao returned to his room and handed her his ID card: “It is a unique document that collects all my information, and no one can forge it.”

Bai Yueling carefully looked at the portrait on the ID card, and then at Jiang Qiao.

The two didn’t look alike at all.

“Is this a photo of you?.”

“It is me.”

“Really?.”

“Yes, I was still very thin at the time.”

Bai Yueling was silent for a long time: “The difference is a bit big.”

Jiang Qiao’s mouth twitched, and he took the ID card back from her hand: “This is normal. Nine out of ten ID photos don’t look the same.”

Bai Yueling decided to change the topic, asking, “So how can I get one?.”

“It’s a little troublesome.” Jiang Qiao said after thinking for a while.

He is not familiar with the process of registering an immigrant, but it would not be too simple.

Otherwise, there would not be so many foreigners in every census, and even some have lived as immigrant households for most of their lives.

“Actually, even if you don’t have an ID card, as long as you don’t break the law, there won’t be much of a problem, but it will be inconvenient for many issues, such as flying, high-speed rail, Internet access, accommodation, marriage, and everything that needs to be handled.”

“It doesn’t seem to have much effect on ordinary life.” Bai Yueling understood quickly.

“That’s right.” Jiang Qiao scratched his head, “As long as you don’t cause trouble, no one will trouble you.”

“Well, I’ll pay attention.”

Jiang Qiao took out his laptop from a drawer, ready to deepen her memory that earthlings are not to be provoked.

Dragons have to be coiled up, tigers have to lie down. (T/L: Dragon= Great Power, Tiger= Ferocity)

Don’t think about starting a mountain and becoming an ancestor!.

So Jiang Qiao searched for {Three Body + Water Drops} on Station B, and then clicked on the video. (T/L: Station B is basically Youtube for chinese people)

Bai Yueling's shock was beyond words when she realized that the massive 2,000 starships dangling outside the Blue Star could be effortlessly destroyed by a rounded teardrop-shaped weapon.

Every spaceship, in her view, had the battle capacity to destroy the planet, yet it was being decimated by a single drop of water.

This completely destroyed her desire to confront such a weapon.

Jiang Qiao looked at her shocked expression and pretended to be profound: “See, this is a super weapon manufactured by human beings.”

Bai Yueling’s face was complicated, as she thought in her heart, ‘Can an immortal stop this drop of water?.”

The answer she came up with is, ‘I don’t know.’

But apparently, once locked in a drop of water, it’s almost impossible to escape.

“Science and technology are never-ending, and there are even more powerful weapons in the water droplets, but this is a state secret, and it is not something I, an ordinary citizen, have the right to know about.” Jiang Qiao sighed.

“Technology, what exactly is technology?.” Bai Yueling asked again, when she came to this world, the word Jiang Qiao said the most was technology.

She believed it was a special “Dao” that is different from cultivators.

It can be seen everywhere, but she doesn’t understand the essence of it. But, she has a feeling that once she can grasp it, she may enter a new realm.

"Science attempts to create a knowledge system that continually identifies and examines the current cosmic environment, whereas technology is the specialized application of mastered knowledge."

Bai Yueling nodded slightly and agreed with this statement.

“That’s right, then you are highly educated in both fields?”, she asked.

“Of course, every person who has received nine years of compulsory education will. There are as many as 1.4 billion talented people like me.” Jiang Qiao replied solemnly

Regardless of the so-called combat power, the things made with technology are amazing. As for this strange thing called a computer, it can even answer all the questions a person has. This kind of ability cannot be achieved by an immortal, so this was beyond her comprehension.

“Your… how is your realm?” She asked hesitantly, not knowing if the word realm was used correctly.

“The realm…”

Jiang Qiao gave her a deep look: “It is divided into six stages: primary school, junior high school, high school, university, a master’s degree, and doctorate.”

Bai Yueling sat upright and motioned for him to continue.

“There are 6 stages of primary school, 3 stages of junior high school, 3 stages of high school, and 4 stages of university. The improvement of each big realm needs to survive the catastrophe (subjects), still it can be passed with minimal effort, and the gap between each stage is particularly obvious. The great realm is more like the gap between heaven and earth, which is difficult to cross.”

Bai Yueling nodded silently, and the same is true for a journey of cultivating immortality. The more you get to the end, the more difficult it is to advance.

“So, what is your realm?.”

“I’m not a talented person. I just graduated from college. I have experienced nine major calamities in language, mathematics, English, history, geography, health, structures, chemistry, and politics, and I just got my bachelors dao fruit. I am on the road to a master’s degree, as for the legendary doctorates, they are already national-level talents, and the laws they understand are beyond the scope of ordinary people’s comprehension.”

Bai Yueling was in awe. Although the doctorates in this world did not have a strong enough body, the knowledge and rules they mastered were enough for her to be treated as the same kind of person.

“Do you know such power? I want to… see it.”
