I can't feel anything.

It's not hot.

It's not cold.

It's not bright; It's not dark.

It's not up; It's not down; It's not forward; It's not back

It's-not-color;It's-not-real;It's-not-fake;It's-nothing;

It'snothing,

It's-nothing,

It's nothing,

It's...

...Nothing...

...Then suddenly I 'see' something. It's warm; It's bright; It's up-down-forward-back; It's colorful; It's real; It's fake.

It is God.

[Unfortunately for you I am not a God.]

Then what are you?

[I am the supervisor.]

What do you supervise?

[I supervise this fragment of akkasha.]

"What is a fragment of akkasha?"

[The fragments of akkasha are pieces of akkasha which have gained either sentience or sapience and have begun affecting the areas around itself.]

"Who am I?"

[Your memories and personality are recovering from crossing the void between life and death, thus the question was unnecessary, however to answer your question and speed up your recovery I will tell you.]

[Your name is Jack borough. You are clinically diagnosed as a psychopath. You have spent years operating the incinerator at a morgue. You have two sisters and both of your parents are dead. You are colorblind.]

I remember most of what the supervisor said. It's true for the most part, but "I'm not colorblind!"

[You are. Somehow you managed to get through life without noticing or getting diagnosed. To confirm yourself, think about how much your definition of art is different from how everyone else says.]

"I thought that was because of my condition?"

[While your condition does have an effect on you definition, the fact that you couldn't see color was a bigger detriment to your eye for art.]

Ok... let's move on from my artistic sense.

[Agreed.]

"So, I'm dead right?"

[Affirmative.]

"How did I die? I don't remember."

[To explain the question, you must first understand that you are currently an astral body. The difference between living bodies and astral bodies is that living bodies remember the times they came close to death very strongly, in order to avoid that situation as much as possible. Astral Bodies however, repress and avoid the memory of dying as much as possible, since as you just felt, it is not a pleasant time.]

"Yeah" I'd be shivering if I could feel my body.

[To answer your question, you were in a car crash. You were walking home from work when a group of drunk good-for-nothings decided to race down the street. They all died as well. It was a spectacular 12 car pileup.]

I kind of reme-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

OH GOD IT HURTS SOMEONE HELP IT HURTS SO MUCH I CAN SEE MY BONES IT HURTSITHURTSITHURTS...

I feel like I just had an out of body experience.

[Technically it would be an in body experience, as you are out of a body right now.]

I glare at the faceless black void around me. "Wait, where are you? Weren't you somewhere around here?"

[There is no proper 'here' as this is outside of time and space.]

Don't you have an avatar or something for me to concentrate on?

[No.]

"Do you have a voice? It's weird to have a voice in my head, it's like I'm thinking to myself but I can't control it. Is this what multiple personality disorder is like?"

"You are being much more talkative now than when you were alive. That is not what it is like to have multiple personalities."

Now I hear a little girls voice instead. It's still weird that I can't tell where it's coming from, but it's much better than the not me in my head. "Is there a reason you brought me here now that I'm dead?"

"Indeed. This is part of the process of reincarnation."

"Reincarnation, like in those books and animes?"

"Similar yes."

"So what kind of reincarnation am I having? Am I going to be an entirely new person? or will I keep all of my memories?"

"To create a summary of reincarnation I will go over the entire process, is that agreeable with you?"

"Um, sure I guess?"

"To begin with, reincarnation is a cycle and so any point can be the beginning, this summary will start at the moment of death. When a creature dies its soul passes through the void between life and death and loses most, if not all memories and personality traits it had in life. In the void of death the soul is repaired from all damage it sustained in the void between life and death and it is recorded into the akkashic records through the nearest fragment of the akkasha. After its memories have been recorded into the akkashic records it passes through the void between life and death again, and is reborn in the world."

"There are exceptions to this cycle, which occurs only through outside intervention. Your case is one of them. All souls are equal yet unique, and one of the things that makes the souls unique compared to each other is their affinities to their vessels. Souls with high affinities to certain vessels can have effects on their vessels outside the norm."

"What, you mean my condition is because I have a high affinity to some random animal?"

"Your 'condition' is affected by your affinity, but not caused by it. Your highest practical affinity is four legged animals."

"My highest 'practical' affinity? What does that mean?"

"A practical affinity is one that is naturally born in worlds. As opposed to impractical affinities such as your current astral body or eldritch abominations. As those bodies are closer to the souls true form they have higher affinities overall, but are not practical as they are not born naturally and do not reproduce."

"That... makes sense."

"Now as for the world you are going to, it is essentially the 'mainstream' reincarnation world, with an RPG level system. In fact, it has two of them. There is a Class system for humanoids, and there is a Priority system for monsters."

"What's the difference? I understand the Class system, it's things like, warrior, or mage, or priest right? What's a Priority system?"

"The Priority system for monsters is to allow more variety in monsters while preventing monsters from changing race trees constantly. The system still has different attributes, however instead of adding points into the attributes directly like in the Class system the monsters add them into different Priorities, which are connected to different attributes depending on the race of the monster. This is all in preparation for the monsters Evolution, which changes the monsters race and thus their Priorities."

"That's a lot"

"You asked for the specifics of a mechanism that affects 90 percent of a planets population, not including the humanoids who make up 30 percent."

"I guess it would need to be complicated. I suppose I'll be under the Priority system? Since my highest affinity is four legged animals."

"You are allowed to choose between the two."

"Oh, that makes this harder. Could you tell me about the Class system?"

"Of course. The Class system is exclusively for humanoids. The humanoids earn levels in their Class and learn skills at certain Class levels. They earn levels by doing actions in line with their Class, or they can earn levels through combat, even if they are noncombatant classes. Humanoids also have an easier time gaining skills. The Class system is much less restrictive when it comes to variety in Classes, partially due to the fact that there are ways to gain multiple Classes. Some Classes with high compatibility can fuse together, gaining bonuses to the related areas while weakening the less related areas. There are some rare Classes that require multiple Class slots, and some that take none. When a humanoid reaches the end of the Class line it becomes possible to create their own personal class. It fuses all of their Classes into one and prevents the learning of new Classes, in exchange they are able to pass their Class down to their disciples. When enough Personal Classes have been created at the end of a Class line the akkasha can create a new general Class at the end of the Class line."

"So, the Class system is incomplete?"

"Yes, the Class system is incomplete. It is closer to a system for humanoids as a society than individual humanoids."

"Is it possible to change systems? It seems like something that would happen often."

"It is impossible to change out of the systems. That ten percent that the Priority system was missing corresponds to the plants, animals, and other miscellaneous entities that do not fall under either of the two systems. Those creatures may or may not be able to gain the Priority system, since all humanoids have the Class system, and only humanoids."

"What about goblins? Aren't they humanoids?"

"Certain monsters have two breeds, one for each system. The savages which have the Priority system and the civilized which have the Class system. When a child is born between the two the system decides whether they are in a more civilized or a more savage area. Children born between the two have certain advantages and disadvantages compared to normal."

"What if there is a nation of monsters? Would there be a civilized dragon or something?"

"The Priority system has a lower skill acquisition rate, but certain skills have an increased rate. These skills tend to be the ones that suggest being alone, with a single mate, or with a pack/tribe. These skills buff the wielder in the correct conditions, and the solo ones even debuff the user when they are with allies. To make it more difficult for monster nations to form the skills to assist with the creation of anything larger than a city are completely cut out."

"Doesn't this heavily favor the Class system then?"

"Yes and no. The Class system is created to support the growth of a civilisation, While the Priority system is created to support the growth of individuals. That is not to say that civilisation is impossible for those with the Priority system, however without the benefits from the system it is near imposable for it to occur. The Priority system Prioritizes the user above all, and the Class system Classifies the user compared to others."

"Why though?"

"You are not allowed to know at this time. Please make a decision between the two systems."

"Wait, is there a way for me to find out?"

"If you surpass the system and become a God we will be able to speak again. Please make a decision between the two systems."

"How do I become a God?"

"To become a God you must surpass the system. Please make a decision between the two systems."

"Ok, ok. I choose the Priority system."

"Understood. You have chosen the Priority system. Your highest practical affinity is four legged animals. You will be reborn in the next vessel that meets these requirements. Please know that I cannot control how much you remember if anything at all."

"Wait, what, you can't contro-aaaaAAAAAHHHHH!!"
