A large silhouette of what looked like a black dragon could be seen descending from the clear blue skies

But if you looked closer , you would see that the  body of the dragon was transparent

 Its eyes shining in a terrifying red light that gave of the feeling  they would absorb your soul away if you stared too long  

And even more surprising was the fact that inside of this dragon  was a young man who was currently unconscious

The dragon soared the skies looking for a place to land

  Its powerful  aura felt by the beasts in the forests as they ran the opposite direction of where the dragon was flying

"Rooooar!"

Landing near a lake around some open fields the dark dragon roared

 Its roar  echoing throughout the entire  forest

 when suddenly a female voice that sounded like an AI spoke

its voice resounding around the entire 'world'

The first Dragon God has been born

Beginning the great trial 

Welcome Dragon God of death ]

The shadow dragon started disappearing as the young man inside it slowly floated down onto the grass

--- a few minutes later---

On the tall blades of grass layed a handsome young man who looked a 16 or 17 year old

 the warm rays of the 'sun'  illuminating his body  

He had black and brown medium legnth spiky hair

His skin was a bit pale and if you couldn't see that he was occasionally breathing you'd think he was already dead

 He had a toned athletes body and was dressed in black pants, black boots ,a  black leather jacket , as well as black fingerless gloves

The young mans eyes suddenly opened revealing his different coloured eye's 

Sitting up straight the young man looks around with an expression that looked like he was doubting his life choices but soon a small  smile could be seen on his face

the memories he had recieved allowed him to understand 

 he had been reborn in the novel 'Dawns beginning'  as a powerful character 

a God to be exact 

But the smile on his face came from the fact he understood that the character he had been reborn as was who he was in his past life

 he had been given a second chance to redeem himself from past mistakes 

a second chance to truly attain absolute power and not the false power he had before 

In his first life he was born an arrogant God who soon became enslaved to a mortal from a human kingdom

After years of living life as a slave the world he lived in was soon invaded by beings that called themselves Holy angels 

They declared to the world they served an Outer God  who was not from his universe 

 These angels massacred many and enslaved billions of people

Some of these holy angels had power eqaul to or above Gods lilke himself yet they never claimed to be Gods

 Not surprisingly he ended up dying a bitter and vengeful death

His soul soon reincarnated and he was reborn a child who ended up in an orphanage a few days after he was born

Unfortunately he had no recollection of his past life during this phase

The world he got reborn in was a modern society but at that time powerul nations were at war with each other 

 At a very young age he was taken in by  dark organization that trained young children to be perfect killers

His talent for killing was so outstanding that by the time he was 15 he was elected the  leader of the dark organization

Naturally he soon became one of the wealthiest men in the world and gained the infamous name 'God of death ' 

A name that made the upper echelons of the world who knew about his legendary tales feel fear

One night  while he was scrolling through the internet on his laptop a certain online novel caught his attention 

The novel was called 'Dawns beginning ' a story about Gods and a hero who rose to save the world from its invaders after years of oppression

The book easily became his favourite as something in him resonated with this story

 It was only now he understood

 

 The reason he felt such a strong sense of connection and melancholy when he read that novel was because it was the story of his past world and past life as a Deity

Thinking these things the young man stood up

  looking at his surroundings he noticed a lake near him and he walked over to it 

  soon he was staring at his reflection at the edge of the lake

'This time , I'll make sure things end up differently ' he thought as he bent down and touched the water 

 standing up the young man sighed

 he missed the feeling of being eternally young and energetic 

 a blue screen suddenly apeared  infront of him with texts written on it

[Welcome Young God ,to the 'awakening plane' 

A realm created for you to decide between two fates , to choose between pawn or king 

May you break through your shackles and awaken in the new world as a king and not a soldier

'So I'm back in the awakening plane huh' The young man's smile became broader

An awakening plane is a temporary dimension outside of the real world  where gods are born and  learn to control their power

Its in this place they could recieve the divine inheritance left by the legacy 

 the creator of this trial as well as the  multiverse 

But receiving the divine inheritance wasn't easy 

' if i fail this I'll end up as somebodies slave in the real world again' the young man thought to himself 

That was the catch with the awakening plane

no matter how powerful you became if you failed to recieve the inheritance you would end up a slave in the next world or to someone else who recieved  the inheritance

What was the inheritance then?

 The inheritance was the right to name yourself 

To elevate your bloodline to royalty 

The inheritance would give you a bloodline that give you  immense talent in cultivation even compared to Gods

 It also granted you the ability to recruit other Gods into your pantheon , wich was an extremely enticing reward for a God

 From what he remembered from the novel

 none of the Gods from the awakening plane he was born in ever recieved the inheritance 

wich is why even though they were Gods  they were crushed  easily when those invaders came

The novel also stated that there was more than one awakening  plane and more than one universe in dawn's beginning

The young man was now certain thats where the invaders of his world came from

Now some of you might be wondering 

how could  a God end up a slave to a mortal?

 Aren't Gods extremely overpowered compared to mortals ?

That is true but all Gods have a great weakness 

When a God is born in an awakening plane  they are born without  names

Names are of great importance to Gods because the  person who names them they have to devote themselves to 

all Gods know this from birth ,its in their bloodlines 

Their bloodline also give them inherit knowledge about survival as well as other neccessary information for them to function as adults even if they were just newly borns

Each awakening plane usually births 3 to 4 Gods

With each Deity coming into existence after a year

If a mortal in the real world were to name a God they would easily recieve many benefits as well as the God's loyalty

For a God however it was different story

to be able to name themselves and not be slaves they had to go through 'the great tribulation' and if they passed its test they could recieve the divine inheritance 

The great tribulation was a very difficult trial 

 if you failed to endure the test or if your resolve to rule was weak 

  you would die a slow and painful death 

 if you overcame it however  you would be allowed to name yourself and be elevated as  royalty in the eyes of the universe

The young man  breathed in while looking into the water  and thought 

 'well its not like failure was an option anyway ' 

Letting out his breath again ,his lips part

'Open personal status ' he commanded mentally and soon a blue screen apears with new information on it

' i wonder if she's already watching?' the young man thought as the memory of a very powerful figure came to his mind

Putting those thoughts at the back of his mind the young man focused on his objective and that was to grow stronger and obtain freedom

 

' if i remember correctly  i should have a tatoo on my right hand' he thought

Folding  up his leather sleave the young man sees a tatoo of a saber on his forearm 

He focuses and tries directing his mana onto the tatoo , a magic circle apears on his palm and soon a sharp looking red saber apears

'Divine rank saber' he thought to himself and smiled 

Divine weapons were connected to the soles of Gods  and would only cease to exist when the God dies

 they were also extremely Sharp and durable being able to cut through divine rank armour like butter 

' judging by how none of my siblings have  come near my location 

it looks I'm the first God on this plane'

"Guess its time to hunt" the man suddenly spoke outloud

 grinning from ear to ear he slowly walked into the depths of the forest , a strong determination brimming in his eyes
