In the meantime, Havoc gathers the recovered knights and

Ivanna together, and they begin carrying wounded men to safety.

“Wait! Hiro is still over there!” Sekrit and Kurotsuchi starts arguing with

Havoc, who is trying to get everyone to retreat.

"He is not alone. There is a group still engaging the monster. Hanabi-ne, Selene and the one of the prince is with the group." The vigilant Mirai reports.

Havoc responds worryingly, "Prince. Is it Bratt Eskina?"

Mirai nods. They look at each other in puzzled face. Bratt Eskina was the one who whole-heartedly force them to go into this very dangerous expedition.

Bratt Eskina, is the second son of the bloody king, Marquis Farlord Reskina. He is one of the last to follow, still insisting to remain with his seven knights. He was the one who push for this expedition, to the extent of threatening Hiro and his party to join. Despite the entire mess being his fault, he was still overcome by terror and wanted to escape as swiftly as possible.

However, in the back of his mind he remembered the events of the previous night.

The night before they had entered the labyrinth, and what he had seen at the palace. He had been too nervous to sleep, so Bratt had stepped out for a bit to stalk the floor Ivanna was in and feel the night breeze. He had been enjoying the cool night air and was about to return to his room when he spotted Ivanna in a negligee. He had been so surprised by her sudden appearance that he had reflexively hidden himself in the shadows and held his breath. His cousin, Ivanna hadn’t even noticed he was there as she passed by. His curiosity piqued, he’d followed Ivanna and watched as she’d knocked on the door of a certain room.

More specifically... Hiro’s room.

Bratt’s mind had gone blank when he saw Hiro answered the door. Bratt, was completely infatuated with

Ivanna. However, the king have planned to marry off Ivanna to foreign king for political reasons , and thus, Bratt had decided that if his competition for her affections was someone like king of other countries, who lived in a totally different world, he might as well give up.

But Hiro is different. Bratt couldn’t understand why Ivanna would want to be with someone that, at least in his mind, is lower than trash. If Hiro is good enough for Ivanna, then why not me!? His twisted mind actually believes that is a logical train of thought.

His dissatisfaction with Hiro quickly gives way to hatred.

Bratt remembers the events of that night as he watched Ivanna gazed worriedly at Hiro, and a wicked grin forms on his lips as the beginnings of a plan took shape in his mind.

Selene’s magic finally begins to run out around the same time the others all turn back to the bridge. Hiro steals a quick glance back at the bridge and sees that everyone has safely managed to retreat. They have turned back around and are lining up to firing bows.

The Behemoth is still struggling against its restraints, but at that point they would only last a few seconds without constant freezing. They would have to get as far away as possible in that time.

Sweat beaded down their forehead. His heart is pounding louder than it had in his entire life, and the girls beside him are so nervous they are trembling.

They are going to need impeccable timing to make it out alive. After cracks started appearing for the dozenth time, Selene freezes the ground once more, and strengthens the Behemoth’s restraints for good measure. Then they jumped.

A scant five seconds after they have started running for their life, the ground behind them shatters, and the Behemoth roars menacingly as it frees itself from its restraints. Hiro risks a glance back and sees pure rage in its eyes.

It looks around wildly, searching for the one who had forced it into such an unsightly struggle, and quickly found Selene who is running in front of Hiro. It roars again, angrily, bringing its head down and prepares to charge at escapees.

However, before it could move, a barrage of spells slam into it.

It is like a bizarre meteor shower, where each meteor is a different colour. The various spells doesn’t do major damage to the

Behemoth, but they definitely slow it down.

We can do this! Hiro thinks, and sprints forward, his head bows low. Despite the procession of spells flying inches above him, Hiro who is the last one isn’t afraid. He is certain others wouldn’t miss. Selene and Hanabi who runs earlier than him, have further left him and Bratt Reskina already reaches the others.

Within a minute he is already more than 10 meters away from the Behemoth.

He unconsciously breaks out into a smile.

An instant later, however, that smile freezes in place.

Among the multitude of spells flying at the Behemoth, one of them has a slightly lower trajectory... And it is heading straight for Hiro. Someone has clearly aimed their attack right at him.

But why!? A moment of surprised confusion passes through his mind.

He quickly braces his legs in an attempt to stop, so the fireball merely explodes inches in front of his face. The shockwaves blasts him back toward the Behemoth. He has avoided a direct hit, and suffers no lasting damage, but his semicircular canals have been thrown into disarray and he completely looses his balance.

Hiro staggers to his feet, trying to put as much space between him and the Behemoth as possible, but the Behemoth is tired of being bombarded. Right after Hiro manages to find his bearings, it let out another roar. He glances back and sees it gathering its dark red aura for the third time as it finishes heating. It is glaring squarely at him.

It then used its front legs as a shield against the spell barrage and charges at Hiro. He is still somewhat disoriented, his vision still blurry, so he could only hear the Behemoth closing in behind him, and his comrades screaming and yelling ahead of him.

Hiro gathers the last remaining dregs of his strength and jumps to the side. A second later, the Behemoth smashes into the ground, using all of its hate and rage to fuel its attack. The entire bridge shook as it falls. Massive cracks spread out from the point of impact. The bridge groaned in protest one last time, before... collapsing entirely.

The repeated attacks have finally driven it past the point of endurance.

“Graaaaaaaaah!?” The Behemoth roars angrily as it desperately tries to find purchase on the crumbling bridge with its nails. However, everywhere it latches onto crumbled as well, and after a final, fruitless struggle, it falls to the depths of hell. Its final screams echoes throughout the chamber.

Hiro too, crawls desperately across the collapsing bridge, trying to find somewhere to grab, but all of his handholds crumbles away just as quickly.

Ah, I’m not gonna make it... He mutters those words inside his head as he gives up. Looking over to his comrades from afar one last time, he sees Sekrit, Clementine, Sylvia, Kurotsuchi, Ivanna, and Mirai desperately trying to run over to him. Others are all pale as well. Havoc and the other knights all watches with painful expressions on their faces as they see Hiro falls. Meanwhile, Selene and Hanabi stares at Bratt Eskina in disbelief.
