“Now that it’s turned to this, you should give up. If you resist you’ll die a painful death” the big man intimidated.

“Sorry, I don’t feel like dying just yet” Lubreo calmly answers.

Everyone became tense, now that they were completely encircled, they had to make a break somewhere.

A knight threw the shield at the big guy and killed a man beside him before retreating. Another knight turned around, then mowed down the men surrounding them from behind. Two men immediately put their shields up but those crude things couldn’t protect them from a knight's attack and the men fell.

Angry roars and screams, it’s been a while since I battled people.

Several knights with shield made a circle protecting two archers and Lubreo Lambert.

A knight held the bardiche in both hands and swung it around like he did with the previous bandits.

Heads and hands of the men that approached him danced in the air.

There were only enemies around me so he didn’t have to hold back.

Kill, kill, kill, send them flying, kick them flying.

The knights at the other side were swarmed by foes.

As he was about to move aside to help, the men’s backs were trampled down by a black shadow.

"Reinforcements? On top of that, cavalry?" The woman yells in panic.

Lubreo purposely left

Seven of his knight out in his initial raid. They only charged in as a back up plan.

The men’s bones broke, making audible cracking sounds under the weight that were easily over a ton, they vomited blood and ceased moving.

They moved quickly to Lubreo and the three archers mounted the horses. Now that they were on horseback their aiming became smooth, the archers started to launch dangerous medium range attacks that changes the flow of battle. Even if the enemy did move forward, the heavy horse’s body would jump on them and trample them to death.

Tide of battle is turning quickly. The knights were slaughtering the bandits.

There were close to forty dead bodies rolling around them.

All of them were heavily damaged, and the knights were swinging around their weapons smeared with the bandits' blood.

Unable to bear it any longer, the leader called Claire moved forward, but before she did the big guy put his hand on her shoulder and moved out.

“The leader shouldn’t move out so recklessly”

As the big guy moved forward swinging his great sword the remaining bandits around him made relieved faces, seemed like he was a capable person.

“You’re quite good, aren’t you. You a knight under the Margrave?”

"Margrave Lubreo Lambert is over there." The bardiche wielding knight points to Lubreo. Lubreo, now mounting in his horse, was smiling and waving his hand towards them.

The woman's and bandits' face became pale.

After a while, the big guy regained his composure and stepped forward.

“Long ago. I was a knight long ago. Sorry, but the boss is going to yell at me if I keep chatting, here I go!”

The man readied his sword up high and rushed onwards.

Both his rush and downswing are fast. He’s in a whole other dimension compared to the other guys.

The knight couldn’t evade so he raised his spear to parry it away but the weight made him lose his posture.

The man seemed to be having it the same and looked at me in surprise.

Defending would put the knight on a disadvantage, so he completely went on the attack.

He swung his bardiche down, raised it up, swung to the side, turned around and swung it down again.

The man took and stopped all of them.

This was the first time the knight have been blocked like that since Lyla.

Knight's smile crumbled, this was not a massacre, this was a duel.

Not loosening their offenses, they exchanged five, six blows and finally, at the seventh blow, the man showed an opening after being parried away.

There was a nick on his blade, the dent stood out.

“Damn you…. what’s with that power”

“I didn’t think you could take this much. There’s still more where that came from”

The bardiche wielding knight once again rushed in to strike.

Big guy seemed to see that he’d be at a disadvantage to continue any more so he switched to thrusting, sliding the tip of his bardiche aside.

His great sword broke but after getting close to him he drew a sword from his hip and thrusted at the knight.

The knight barely blocked it with bare arm.

"Ooooh. To push my knight to that extent." Lubreo complimented.

The knight's arm was stabbed by that sword but his other hand grabbed the big man's weapon.

The big man frantically tried to push the sword with both hands but the sword didn’t so much as twitch being held in one hand by the knight.

The reason the sword wouldn’t move was a simple difference in strength.

The knight readied his bardiche against the big guy who frantically tried to uproot his sword.

"Sure, you are strong.

But I’m stronger." The knight said.

He blew the guy away with the handle.

The knight and the man’s eyes met as he flew in the air.

"God. Please send someone to protect her."

The knight thought he heard a voice like that.

His bardiche split the man in half below the chest.

Fresh blood rained endlessly like a shower, dying me, the bandits around him and even Claire in red.

After a short pause, they broke into panic, the bandits threw down their weapons one after the other and fled at top speed.

It looked like the woman’s authority was in part thanks to the man’s clout.

The woman stared at the big guy half in daze.

“Sam…. no….”

She took out her sword.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

While all the bandits were escaping, Claire raised her voice as if to rally herself up and lunged.

Her sword strike was fast and unexpectedly heavy.

The knight took the first and second hit with his spearhandle and flicked her away after the third.

“Ah!?”

He put in a blunt hit to Claire’s stomach and she crouched down, spewing its contents.

The fight was over.
