Baron Joelo’s territory was on the other side of the river, but the remaining soldiers were laying by the riverside with a lit fire and eating something.

"Why are they taking it easy even though they can see us?"

Baronet Hesse commented sheepishly.

"In the beginning of the fight, the number of troops on both sides rivalled each other and it was back and forth battle, however I didn’t attack across the river so that the chance of reconciliation wouldn’t be eliminated." Leonhardt explained.

I see, so that’s why they feel relieved when they cross the river.

「Did you know about the shallow point in the river?"

"…… I am aware."

Great.

"Then shall we settle?" I gave cue to Irijina who was on a horse beside me.

Irijina raised her spear in the air.

"Charge forward across the river. Rout the enemy and burn their supplies."

When our troops let out their war cries and closed in, the enemy soldiers scattered like spider babies.

"Waah! I thought they wouldn’t pass the river!"

"Hiieh!!"

"……I’m correcting the order. Steal their supplies and only threaten them. They don’t have the will to fight anymore."

And so we reached the town where Baron Joelo’s mansion is located with no resistance.

We didn’t have to go through the troubles of a siege since they’re already waving the white flag.

The gate was wide open and the man himself trudged out.

"You must be Baron Joelo then?"

"Awawa! Awawawawa!"

I stepped forward as Baronet Hesse fell back.

"This fight is over. Now that it’s come to this, you should surrender or risk seeing unnecessary bloodshed!"

"Awa, awawawawawa!"

Baron Joelo was so shaken that he couldn’t form proper words.

He also seemed cowardly so I didn’t see him initiating the invasion.

As expected, Etienne de Chevin and Selena Saxon were behind everything.

Let’s leave the concerned parties to sort out the rest.

I started touching Irijina’s ass.

"Cavalry approaching from the west, 500! ……they’re heavy cavalry!"

500 heavy cavalry was large number.

"Infantry also confirmed behind them!"

"Chevin’s reinforcements, huh. He isn’t going to let Baron Joelo surrender."

"It’s too late though."

That baron had just been going “awawa” this whole time.

"The insignia on their flag is…… one belonging to the feudal lord on the east coast of Orlais, who is also a member of the General Governorate. They’re a group of knights under Viscount Tariotte…… they’re not even trying to hide at this point anymore." Baronet Hesse explained.

"It doesn’t matter how they come, we’ll greet them properly."

The enemy’s heavy cavalry didn’t stop for a moment and head straight for us.

We’re not planning to defend either, we’ll respond to their attack by attacking. That's why I brought 20 dalish archers with me to here including Gheyna.

"Dalish Bow cavalry, release your arrows!"

And Cass Brankovic's chariots.

"Bring the chariots to the front!"

The first volley of arrows rain down on the enemy heavy cavalry.

As expected, the rider and horse were wrapped in plate mail so the knights didn’t go down that easily, allowing them to close the distance between them and the bow cavalry.

At this rate, it would be inevitable for the lightly dressed bow cavalry to suffer great losses……

"Pull back." Suzy, my vice head of archery unit led the retreat. She was the only non dalish in the 22 members olin the squad.

The answer was simply to run.

"Cowards! You’re going to turn your backs on the enemy!?"

"Have you forgotten the honor of knights!?"

I didn’t think the dalish had such an honor.

The horses of the heavy cavalry were slower and had less stamina compared to that of the bow cavalry so it’s unlikely they would catch up.

"Turn back…… and fire!"

The dalish archers could shoot facing backwards on their horses so they could continuously shower the enemies while maintaining their distance.

The heavy armor would protect the enemies to some extent, but a few would eventually be taken down from being shot at one-sidedly.

In addition, the chariots barged into our game of tag and shot their ballistae.

Even heavy armor was useless against the giant bolts and the knights got knocked off their horses after a huge hole got opened up in their armor.

Right about this time, Mirai and Irijina, plus Sekrit who came up beside them before we realized it, charged at the knights together.

"It’s been a while since I’ve had successive battles…… hah!"

Irijina deflected the spear of the knight rushing at her head on with her spear and then took off his head.

Next she swept the legs of the following knight’s horse to send him tumbling, then hit another knight in the head with the blunt side of her spear to knock him off his mount.

"Hiro, this is fun!"

When I turned around, I saw Sekrit covered in blood from head to shoulders and smiling.

"Damn woman! Looking down on me!"

An enemy knight thrusted a spear at Sekrit, who leaned back on her horse and made him hit air.

While I was admiring how far she could bend her body without falling, she’s already swinging both her swords at the weak point in the knight’s armor…… the elbow joint.

"Gyaaah!"

Her right sword sliced off the enemy’s left arm at the elbow and her left sword did the same with the enemy’s right arm.

That would have been enough to deal a fatal blow to the knight, but Sekrit went one step further, stabbing the man in the neck and eye.

No matter how you look at it, that’s overkill.

Moreover she’s smiling as she got bathed in the spurting blood.

"This bitch! Die!"

One of the enemies become enraged after seeing his friend brutally killed and attacks Sekrit from behind.

She was able to promptly react and block, although the momentum of the strike pushed her off the horse.

That might just be because she wasn’t used to riding.

Still with sword in hand, Sekrit stabbed the ground to break her fall, landing steadily before transitioning to attack.

She slipped under the body of the man’s horse where armor didn’t cover and slashed the abdomen.

The horse collapsed in a pile of its own entrails and the knight also fell off.

Sekrit raised both swords up.

"Wait, I surrender! Let us talk ransom negotiations!"

The knight dropped his weapon and put up his hands with the palms facing forward.

Sekrit didn’t lower her swords.

"Y-you’re planning to kill someone who already surrendered!? You won’t be forgiven for such injustice!"

"Maybe I won’t. But――"

Sekrit closed in on the man.

"You’re dying."

The knight’s face was stiffening up.

"That’s it. I wanted to see that face."

He picked up his sword and attacked her but Sekrit gleefully swung her sword down, slashed his exposed neck.

A tide of his blood splashed on her.

"Are you fine?" My horse reached her.

The blood-soaked Sekrit suddenly presses her lips against mine.

Her tongue instantly invaded my mouth, but my first reaction was to pull away.

I’m all for a woman kissing me, except not when it’s in the middle of battle where it’s dangerous.

"What’s that about?"

"I just got aroused from seeing a man covered in blood. Now then, let’s fight some more."

Sekrit smiled as she wiped the blood on her sword on her clothes.

Hmm, this girl really had too many vices.

For the most part, the fight progressed in our favour and the enemy lines start falling apart.

At the moment we were about to launch an all-out offensive, another small group of cavalry wedged in between us and the enemy.

"Continue retreat!" The man, Leonhardt Strauch shouted.

Our 3 units of chariots had long left the battlefield.

Although we called them chariots, those were actually mini cargo vehicles with four wheels, each pulled by a motorbike. The motorbikes powered by solar battery were transmigrated by utilizing my cheat ability on the translucent dashboard. If the solar  batteries ran out of power, nearby cavalry would pull them using horses.

Carried on the vehicle were catapults innovated by my strategist, Cass Brankovic.

15 former refugees turned soldiers were brought here as the catapult unit.

Leonhardt Strauch brought 20 knights from Redcliffe and Gheyna brought 20 dalish archers. Suzy was an average archer but I had to bring her to avoid the slut from sleeping with other men. Irijina the spear wielder and Sekrit the acrobatic fighter were with me on the battlefield while the defence expert, Myla was wounded and stayed at the rented house. Lucy, brought from Hyuutia was taking of Myla. Mirai the kunoichi and Reina the thief were with me now. Claire the merchant was doing reconnaissance tasks outside the battlefield.

Other than them, our fighting power solely consisted of local soldiers, to be specific, Doucy faction.

We were still persuading the Cyril de Montfort faction to join us.
