(Hiro's Point of view)

Sekrit, Demia, Irijina, Mithra, Gheyna, Malty and Reina assembled around me after they miraculously defeated their enemies. Mirai defeated her foe but she was carried by soldiers as she fainted after the duel.

"March!" Leonhardt Strauch shouted his instructions. Marquis Cyril soldiers and my personal cavalry formed a sturdy formation. We had lesser problems after defeating their captains and top fighters.

My longsword sliced three enemies in a row.

On the return swing, my blade was splitting another soldier’s head open.

"Long live the Queen.."

To shut his mouth, I thrust my sword in his throat and toss him aside.

"Ooh, it’s Commander Hiro!"

"Now we can’t lose!"

My allies cheered for my arrival while the enemy shrank.

"Don’t be timid! We are winning. This is merely an extermination of survivors……"

I ran at the man who shouted.

Heavily armed knights appeared in front to protect him.

"You may have won the battle."

I slipped past one of them and slam my longsword into his side to send him flying.

"But I won’t let-"

I deflected the second man’s sword with my arm guard and tackled him to knock him off his horse.

"-you annihilate us that easily."

I grabbed the second man’s bent sword and jammed it in the narrow hole in the third knight’s helmet.

"That’s how it is."

I brought down my sword on the top of the targeted commander’s head, burying the blade through his skull and down to his chest.

When I twisted my sword and forcefully pulled it out, the commander’s body split open with the sound of a ripe fruit being torn apart.

It was at this time.

"Raise the flags!"

My flag…… the red flag qas held up.

"Come on now, why act like you’re in a parade?"

I instinctively complained to Leonhardt, although it had a different effect on the opponent.

"There were weird flags among the Marquis flags!"

Panic was spreading and the enemy receded like the tide while we were cutting down them.

"You lowlifes. I’ll exterminate you someday!"

I would get upset if I let them freely say whatever they want.

"So annoying. Why don’t you come right now, coward."

Leonhardt told me not to leave the formation.

If I didn’t keep my word, he would be on my ass again, so everybody would have to come to me.

"One day I’ll display your head in front of the main street in our capital, lowlifes!"

Leonhardt explained the enemies recent action,

It is inefficient for a wolf to bare its fangs when hunting an abundance of fleeing rabbits."

The enemy chose to avoid us and instead was tracking down the Count Ambroise soldiers.

"At this rate, Count Ambroise faction would suffer more than 60 or even 70 percent in losses."

No matter how fierce the battle, casualties from a head-on collision could be known.

Catastrophic damage from pursuits like this would be calculated after the dust settles. Even though, Count Ambroise was our allies, we couldn't do anything under the watchful eyes of Orlais-Fanoss Union.

"There are squads in the Count army that are still maintaining order too. There…… and over there!"

Gheyna, the half-elf archer had far sight. I look where Gheyna pointed.

That’s…… Ambroise’s defense force and Gabriel’s squad.

It looked like those who were skilled were capable of enduring.

Also becoming aware of us, they slowly closed the distance between us while retreating to a point where the both of us could help each other.

Maybe it was due to the raising of my red flag or maybe they were prioritizing the hunting of disorderly soldiers, but despite the severe attack, the armies which remained composed somehow managed to escape the predicament.

"Let us head to Kosora while retrieving any scattered soldiers."

Count Ambroise suggested and I promptly accepted, although everyone else remained silent.

"……"

Gabriel hung his head with closed eyes.

"……ooooh…… ooo……many died…… why……"

Auclair leaned forward and sobbed with his eyes wide open.

Come on, I knew you’re frustrated, but that’s gross.

"A tally will be done when we reach Kosora, however this is extreme…… the loss estimated is extremely large."

Ambroise also looked downcast.

Myla, Gheyna, Demia, and Reina were swallowed by the mood and all of them look glum.

Leonhardt was the only one emotionless, no Sekrit was also facing down, except she was most likely holding back a smile. Meanwhile, Irijina was spouting nonsense in loud voice and Mirai was still unconscious.

The chase had ended by now and I could hear faint sounds from the enemy camp.

"All you brave soldiers. We have once again attained victory."

The voice sounded familiar and at the same time too faint for me to be sure.

The chase has ended by now and I can hear faint sounds from the enemy camp.

"All you brave soldiers. We have once again attained victory."

"Count Ambroise and Marquis Cyril cannot stop us. This fight proved that. We are the superior army and the superior country."

I heard a ground-shaking cheer.

"Let us guide the citizens of Count Ambroise who have been fed lies from an unenlightened government to a place with a true ruler, to the glorious Union!"

"Go forth, brave soldiers. No one can stand in your path."

I heard another roar of the crowd.

The enemy’s morale was unbelievably high, that much was clear.

On this day, Count Ambroise lost 70% of his total military force.
