On the northern side of Fort Lassic…

The Second Ferelden Army, led by Marquis Brumerush, receives the report of a surprise attack.

“L..Lord Marquis!! We are under attack!!”

“W-what!? Did Lassic move!? Where are they attacking from?”

“No, my lord!! It’s our allies! The Marquis Bryland army!!”

“Whaaat!?”

The viscount’s report left Brumerush slack-jawed.

He does plan to sabotage the Bryland family in the near future, but not before Fort Lassic is dealt with. He has no intention of starting anything before the fortress is conquered.

“They have already reached the center of our formation!! We urgently await orders!!”

“S-Stop them immediately!! Do not let those traitors come any closer!!”

The Marquis Army boasted twice the numbers of the combined Raeven and Bryland's forces, but the sudden attack has destroyed their numerical advantage. After Brumerush’s orders their counterattack finally starts, but the heart of the Brumerush Army’s formation has already fallen into a chaotic battle between the soldiers of both sides.

“SHIIIT! SHIT SHIT SHIT! BRYLAND, YOU GODDAMN IDIOT!!!”

Brumerush’s enraged yelling echoes from the Second Ferelden Army’s camp.

The battle between the two factions' armies has quickly reached a state of utter chaos: they are both speedily heading to total annihilation.

Looking on them from the afar, Lubreo speaks to the man standing behind him — an assassin.

“Looks like everything went well.”

“Indeed. Those two must have done a good job.”

“Right…may their souls rest in peace.”

Lubreo grins, ignoring those who had given their lives for the sake of House of Lambert.

“I must say I did not expect things to proceed so smoothly, Young Master. Leonas Bryland must be rather dull in the head.”

“Well, I guess so.”

Lubreo nods to the assassin’s words.

The Bryland Army has suddenly attacked the Second Ferelden army— which means his plan has worked.

The so-called messenger from Brumerush who made an attempt on Leonas’s life — was actually a Lambert's assassin he had ordered to infiltrate the Bryland Army. He didn't dare to touch Raeven because that man is very sharp.

Lubreo pretended to attack Leonas on Brumerush’s orders, to spark a conflict between the two Ferelden noble factions.

“No matter how impulsive and thoughtless Leonas Bryland might be, if he still retained the ability to make a calm decision, he would have easily seen through this “divide and conquer” scheme.”

In the last week of fighting, however, only Leonas’ First Ferelden Army was on the receiving end of Lassic's poison and gunpowder, that luck plays well into our plot. His distrust of the Second Ferelden Army surely peaked. The frustration from their struggle also helped cloud his vision and hide something he would have normally spotted. Raeven remains composed though.

“We have to say thanks to Loghain for really triple crossing between Brumerush, Lassic and Leonas . An ally turned traitor is a lot more hateful than someone who was an enemy from the start, after all.”

When our spies in the first army reported about the possibility of Loghain’ betrayal, Lubreo was so overjoyed he slept with several women at once.

Loghain had the ability as “Hero of Ferelden” and is quite the tactician, or so he has heard. If he has remained humbly at Leonas’ side, they might have seen through this plan.

The reason for his triple crossing is obvious; Loghain was the previous King's right hand man and his daughter, Anora is even married off to the current king but now he is demoted to country lord.

The betrayal of the man trusted as a strategist, however, cost battle-brained Leonas his judgment: the conflict with Brumerush became inevitable.

“Factions that don’t get along going to war together were wrong from the start, anyway.”

“The fate of a traitor…what cruelty.”

The male assasin clasps his hands and whispers, with pity in his voice.

“Anyway, he gave us a chance. Let’s use it the best we can.”

Lubreo looks above at the fortress. The Arkland forces are already gathered at the northern gate, ready to strike the enemy at any time.

At the eastern walls, Count Moreno Dourtous, David's second in command seems ready to depart too. Once he gives the signal, Arkland is going to catch the Leonas and Brumerush Armies in a pincer attack. Their hot-blooded fighters are probably chomping at the bit, waiting for his order.

“All exciting battles too must come to an end…time for the grand finale!”

As the war horns blow, the gates open — and the Lassic cavalry bolts outside.

Lubreo watches them and grins a fanged smile, then jumps onto his trusted steed.

“I will go too! We still have to stop federation advance at the border!!”

Thus, the war between the Ferelden and Olga Federation draws to an end…

The victor of this unprecedented battle is not very clear…!
