Again? I can hear you asking that. How? Who is even reading this? Maybe some Yugioh player will some day find these and read them.

Or maybe it will be some Pokemon master? Or maybe someone with prisms in their heart? You never know. How would you even have prisms in your heart? Wouldn’t that kill you?

… actually, Hiro’s heart is technically made of crystal, and it can reflect light, so it is possible. So yeah. Hiro will read these stories. I hope. Maybe he knows Pokemon? I’ll fully admit that I’m no Pokemon master, but I’ve played some of the games. I can probably recreate them with near perfect accuracy. And if Hiro has played any, I can make even more with even more details, since I can go through his memories with the Memory Palace.

But that is for later. Let’s just work on these sets. I mentioned the two Legendary Duelists last time, so let’s complete them. I’ll do 200 packs of each, and then get the last few with Capsules.

Starting with the Legendary Duelists: Dark Dragon Rising. … it doesn’t actually have that second part, but it makes the set name better. And it is a reference to Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss. And don’t ask how I remember that set name. Of course I remember it. That set has Bingo Machine, Go!!! and The Ultimate Creature of Destruction. And Cyber Eternity Dragon, but that is boring.

Oh and Dark Dragon Rising because … Well, the set has both Cyberdarks and Red-Eyes Black Dragon support. I just went with Dark instead of Black because it better fits both of them. And Rising is because White Dragon goes into the Abyss.

That got me 17 new cards. And I’ll cover them by archetype, because I think it is the best with a set like this.

I’ll start with the ones that are either not exactly an archetype, or that I was only missing 2 cards from.

The Legendary Fisherman II is treated as the original when on the field, is unaffected by other monsters' effects if Umi is active, and searches for a Level 7 water monster if it leaves the field because of your opponent.

Citadel Whale can special itself from the hand or GY by tributing 2 Water monsters. On summon it sets Sea Stealth Attack from the deck. And it can once per turn negate an effect that targets a Water monster.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Duoterion is a level 5 for some reason. You can discard it to search for a Bonding Spell or Trap. And if summoned, it summons a Hydrogeddon, Oxygeddon or Duoterion from the GY.

Water Dragon Cluster, on summon makes it so your opponent’s monsters cannot activate their effects for the turn. It doesn’t negate their effects, just prevents activation. It does also change their attack to 0. And you can tribute Cluster to special 2 Water Dragons from hand and/or deck ignoring summoning conditions. So yes it is decent, but it really needed to do even more considering how bad this archetype is. Or it would have needed to be even easier to summon.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Amazoness Baby Tiger specials itself, from hand or GY, when you summon an Amazoness. Its name is Amazoness Tiger while it is on the field or GY, so you can use it for the fusion. And it gains 100 attack for each "Amazoness" card in your GY. And it is cute, which is always a boost.

Amazoness Princess’ name becomes Amazoness Queen on the field and the GY, so it can be used as a fusion material. It searches for an Amazoness Spell or Trap on summon. And when it declares an attack, send a card from your hand or field to the GY to special an Amazoness from the deck.

… Also, I think I just realized something. In Amazoness Call, Amazoness Archer is calling out into the forest, as if looking for someone. She must be looking for the Princess. At least it would make sense, since both cards are first printed in this set.

The last new Amazoness card is Amazoness Onslaught. It lets you special summon an Amazoness from the hand during the battle phase, and the monster summoned gets +500 attack for the turn. And after damage calc, you can banish any monster that battled an Amazoness monster. And if this card is destroyed, special an Amazoness from the GY.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Red-Eyes Baby Dragon is a little baby. When it is destroyed by battle, you special a level 7 or lower Red-Eyes from the deck and equip the baby to it to give it +300 attack. And if Baby is sent to the GY when it was an Equip Spell, you search for a level 1 Dragon.

Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight can, when a card is equipped to it, destroy that equipped card to MST. But that effect is once per turn. You can also, once per turn, send an Equip card attached to this monster to the GY to special a level 7 or lower Red-Eyes from the GY.

Red-Eyes Slash Dragon can make Warriors in the GY into equips for itself that give it 200 attack. It negates targeting effects by destroying equip cards, and that isn’t once per turn limited. And if destroyed, you can summon all monsters that were equipped to this card when it was destroyed.

Red-Eyes Fang with Chain equips to a Red-Eyes. The equipped monster can attack twice, but you can also send Chain to the GY and equip an opposing monster to the equipped monster, and your monster's attack will be equal to the OG attack of the equipped monster.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Megaroid City can destroy a different card you control for a search. During damage calc, you can send a Roid from the deck to the GY to swap the attack and defense of your monster for that damage calc. Not all that great of effects. So why does it come with a restriction where ‘You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate either of this card's effects’. Just asking? Did they have to add that?

Emergeroid Call is actually quite powerful. It negates a Spell/Trap/effect, and sends all cards with that card’s name from deck or extra deck to the GY. Sure you have to control a Fusion Roid, but it needs some restrictions so that you can’t run it in Speedroids. It can also banish itself to let you recover a Roid from the GY.

Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base has 5k defense to start with. That is a lot. It can special summon roids from the hand or extra deck, as long as there is a stronger monster on the field. It can also return a roid to your hand to move itself to the position that roid monster was in, but that is no longer needed after the master rule 4 revision. But it is cool that the monster called Mobile Base can actually move.

Last up, three Cyberdarks.

Cyberdark Inferno is quite strong. Cyberdarks you control, that have an Equip card, cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. You can return a Cyberdark to the hand to normal summon a Cyberdark, which can be the one you just returned to the hand. Allows you to get a Equip card to them, or trigger the floating effects of Claw and Cannon. And if Inferno is destroyed, you search for a Polymerization or Fusion Spell. So while it could be better, had this card come out in 2006 with the OG Cyberdarks, maybe they could have been used back then. Though they needed better Equips in 2006.

Cyberdark Cannon draws you a card if it is sent to the GY when it was an Equip. You can discard it to search for a Cyberdark monster. And during damage calc, if a monster Cannon is equipped to battles, Foolish Burial.

Last card is Cyberdarkness Dragon. This thing is actually nice in some situations. Equips any Machine or Dragon from your GY to itself on summon, gaining attack equal to that monsters OG attack. So usually 5k, unless you want to equip Shooting Quasar Dragon to it so that you can float into Shooting Star when Quasar goes to the GY. Yes, you can do that. And, you know, Cyberdarkness Dragon has a not ‘once per turn’ omni-negate. All you have to do is send an Equip to the GY to negate anything. I think you can see why I like this thing. Big attack and an omni-negate.

Now give me just a second and I’ll confirm I got all the cards from this set. I think that I did, since this set is only 56 cards, but there could be 1 I’m missing.

Nope. Got it all with the 200 packs. So we can move on. To Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium. And again, 200 packs. If it follows the rules set by Dark Dragon Rising, I’ll get all the cards with that.

This time I got 14. This one is also a bit more difficult to cover in any sort of good order, since most of the cards are from different archetypes.

Let’s start with the BM-4 Blast Spider. It can destroy a Dark Machine you control, and a face-up card your opponent controls. And if a Dark Machine destroys a monster, by battle or card effect, you can burn them for half of that monster’s attack.

Desperado Barrel Dragon specials itself from your hand if a Dark Machine on your field is destroyed. You also have a quick effect that lets you toss 3 coins and destroy monsters equal to the heads. And if all are heads, you also get to draw a card. And if Desperado is sent to the GY, you search for a level 7 or below monster with a coin tossing effect.

Heavy Metal Raiders protects Dark Machines from battle destruction once per turn. It also makes them stronger based on the damage you took from that battle, and if a Dark Machine destroys a card on the field, you can special a Dark Machine from your hand.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Cocoon of Ultra Evolution specials an Insect from the deck, ignoring summoning conditions. And all you needed to do was tribute an Insect with an equip card. You can also banish it to shuffle an Insect from the GY to the deck, and then you draw 1.

Metamorphosed Insect Queen kind of reminds me of a more monstrous version of Myrphe. I know the Queen is an Insect and Myrphe’s bottom half is a spider, but it looks similar at a glance. Sadly this Queen cannot be normal summoned and I have to call on her with a card effect, but her effects are decent. As long as you control another Insect, your opponent cannot target insects with card effects, and they cannot be destroyed by card effects. Metamorphosed Insect Queen can also attack again, but you have to tribute a monster for that second attack. And during the end phase she spawns an Insect Monster Token.

I do wonder if Myrphe would like a copy of Metamorphosed Insect Queen. I know she has a deck she is familiar with, and she doesn’t even have Card Summoner currently, but I’ve been thinking of giving everyone employed the skill. And Metamorphosed Insect Queen is level 7, so Myrphe could use her, potentially.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Millennium-Eyes Illusionist can be discarded to equip an opposing monster to an Eyes Restrict or Relinquished monster as if it were equipped by that monster's effect. And if you summon one of the aforementioned, you add this thing from your GY to hand.

Relinquished Fusion summons an Eyes Restrict by banishing the materials from hand, field or GY. And you can banish it to have the same effect as Millennium-Eyes Illusionist’s discard effect.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Ojamassimilation is good in Machine Fusion Ojamas. I mean if you have your GY set up, it can get you all the monsters needed for XYZ-Dragon Cannon. You can also banish it from your GY, target 3 of your banished Ojama monsters, shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card. So yeah, it is good.

Spoiler

[collapse]

Ancient Gear Fusion is just that, but you can use monsters from your deck as material if you use an Ancient Gear Golem on your field as a material.

Cross-Dimensional Duel banishes an Ancient Gear until the next standby, and when it returns, it has doubled attack for a turn. And if Ancient Gear Golem(s) on the field would be destroyed, you can banish this card instead.

Spoiler
[collapse]

Now some Crystal Beast support.

Rainbow Bridge adds a Crystal Spell or Trap from your Deck to your hand.

Crystal Bond has one of the most adorable artworks of any cards in Yugioh, ever. It adds a Crystal Beast from your Deck to your hand and places another Crystal Beast from your Deck to be a Continuous Spell.

Last, Rainbow Overdragon. It needs 7 Crystal Beast monsters as material, for some reason, but you can summon it by tributing OG Rainbow Dragon. You can banish a Crystal Beast from your GY to increase this monster’s attack by the banished monsters for the turn. And if you Fusion summoned Overdragon, you can tribute it to shuffle all cards on the field into the Deck.

Spoiler
[collapse]

I’m not sure if this trio of cards would have helped Hiro get further in the Xyz tournament, but it might have. Still, compared to my customs, Overdragon is quite weak. Sure it is easier to summon, but … I may have gone a bit off the rails with those customs.

But Rainbow Bridge and Crystal Bond definitely would have helped.

Maybe I’ll give Hiro a skill orb, a duel disk and a deck as a birthday gift.

… also, I did confirm, I got everything. So Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium is also completed.

... so I accidentally lied in the last chapter. There will still be 1 more pack opening chapter after this one. So I lied in the last one when I said that this would be the last one. But the next is the last one for real. I don't know how I made that mistake, but I'm sorry.

Also, special thanks to Pokemonking0924 and PrismHeart for always leaving comments. I do really appreciate them. And for all of you who are readers who never comment, which admittedly I am as well with other series, leave a comment every now and then. Even if it is just a 'TFTC' with blob cookie emotes.
