You read the title, and you heard what I said last time. You know what is coming. But it should only start later in the day, so I have a bit of time to summon my new Link monsters, and I’ll get my first Link challenge rewards.
Yes, rewards. I already have 12 Links, so that is going to be 2 rewards.
And starting from the oldest Link I have, I have the three I got before I ever unlocked sets with Link monsters.
Vampire Sucker, Vampire Fascinator and Aromaseraphy Jasmine.

Now I’ve naturally summoned all three of these monsters already, multiple times at that. In fact, because of the Vampire Links, I got my Link Challenge before I ever unlocked even the Synchro challenge. I only got the Fusion and Ritual ones before the Links.
So it has been taunting me. Telling me I can’t get the card it teases me with. Until now.
I Link summoned Gouki The Great Ogre; Auram the World Chalice Blademaster; Mistar Boy; X-Krawler Synaphysis; X-Krawler Neurogos; Altergeist Primebanshee; Subterror Behemoth Fiendess; Link Bumper; Twin Triangle Dragon.

Now before I go over the rewards, I think it is worth taking a second to explain how my duel disk works with Link monsters.
As you might remember, my duel disk resembles a GX duel academy duel disk, except that mine is made of orichalcum, giving it a golden look. But it also has an Arc-V style solid-light blade, which in fact holds my two Pendulum zones, as well as five more monster zones I can use. And for the purposes of Link summoning, that entire solid-light blade is an ‘extra monster zone’, so I can freely summon Link monsters to it. But my regular duel disk isn’t, so if I want to summon Link monsters to it, I have to have a Link monster on the solid-light blade pointing down.
It isn’t a big deal, just thought you all would like to know.
Now, the two rewards. And we are starting off with the card that has been taunting me for decades! Not only has it been almost two years chronologically since I unlocked the Link challenge, I had to look at it for over 80 years while I was in the past. And all that time this tiny … I want to say asshole, but I can’t. This adorable tiny dragon has been looking at me, taunting me that I can’t have him!
Spirit with Eyes of Blue.

Yeah. You can’t just dangle a Blue-Eyes … Eyes of Blue card in front of me for that long and expect me to just be happy about it.
At least I have it now. And with it I got the Cynet Universe Field Spell. Doesn’t exactly fit the tiny dragon I got, but I didn’t make the reward. Blame whoever makes these challenges, because I’m blaming them for not giving me Spirit with Eyes of Blue through other means.

My second reward was Miasma Necromancer and Spellbound.

Interesting that I got both Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes support as the first two Link rewards. Clearly the one giving me these rewards is based and likes classic cards.
I summoned my two new Links and looked at the mission again. Sadly being 1 away from the next reward.

And next time I’ll get the Flying Dutchman. Or a card inspired by it.
I have to say, it is really cool getting all these cards I don’t know. None of them had come out by the time I was transported to this world.
Wonder how long it has been on Earth? Two years? Maybe four, if the time there moves at double the rate it does here? Maybe it could have been over 80 considering my time in the past. I doubt the last one. Just because time travel is stupid. If that somehow counted, it would make no sense.
And besides, I haven’t gotten any cards with a summoning method I don’t know. And while it can be because I just haven’t unlocked packs that far in the future yet, I feel like there is a different reason for it. Mainly because I got Link monsters so long ago. I feel like the God or false-god responsible for Pack Opener would have teased me with something from a new summoning method if one had been made.
Now, time to go to war.
It didn’t start with a shot from a cannon or a spell cast. Of course it wouldn’t. The armies had yet to meet.
Instead, it began with an order given by the Power Structure holder, who was still hiding near the magic circle that would take Hajime to the past. He gave the order for the armies to move.
And that caused me to start making my move.
The first part of it was informing the commanders of the USCF, the United States Counter Force, not the chess federation, that the armies were on the move. This would get the counter force of both Narra and Ruiso Kingdom ready to deploy within an hour.
While they prepared that, Wilma and I teleported over to the two fortress foundations we prepared over the past few days.
I then took the entire prefabricated fortress out of Storage, making sure it fit the place carved for it. This basically made an instant fort for our forces to defend, with no chance that the States would know of it, since it was literally just made.
Sure they could have in theory noticed the foundations we prepared for it, but most would assume it is just that, foundations for a fort that is still under consideration, not something that can be put up in a few seconds.
As for how I knew where to set these up. … do you really need to ask? I’ve been spying on the States for months, of course I know the part they’re planning to take.
The reason I made them is twofold. One, it should focus the invading forces into the forts. They are going to run into them based on the path they are taking, and going past a fort like this is a terrible idea. That will keep the small towns in these areas safe.
Second, it increases the effectiveness of our forces. As much as I don’t want to admit it, the States actually have the better army for this operation. Simply put, they are higher leveled than the forces I was able to grow in the time I had.
Most of their forces are between level 60 and 70, while our side is between 40 and 60. So they have a clear level advantage over us. They do also have a numbers advantage, because despite the weight of my words on the leaders of the Kingdoms, they can only share so many troops to something like this.
At least our ‘elite units’ are a lot stronger, which is what I’m relying on to make up for the level and numbers gap. They might have the stronger military, but I have better tactical weapons to deploy. And it isn’t like my forces will have to win. They just have to hold out for long enough that Hajime gets to the past, because then I can make my move and stop the armies in their tracks.
But yeah. The idea was that an easily defendable location will give our forces the chance to rest if the battle drags on, and it will keep the States from advancing.
The second thing Wilma and I did was setting a ton of mines on the border of the States and Smorog. Not deadly ones, but ones that would take people caught in them into a special prison I made in the HomeBase Quarry. It has all the skill negation, soul magic negation and other defenses needed to keep the people in, until I can process them and see if they can be reintegrated to polite society.
… sadly I doubt that as the force heading to Smorog is made up of … not the greatest people. Almost all of them have some sort of crime related title in their status. Yes, I checked them all.
The mines were naturally made with the help of some Trap Hole cards. Basically a combination of Giant Trap Hole, Void Trap Hole and Time-Space Trap Hole, combined with a detection system.

When people enter the area of effect of the mine, it will activate. Void Trap Hole negates their skills, Giant Trap Hole opens up the ground causing them to fall for a bit, and Time-Space Trap Hole teleports them to where I want them to go.
Those mines should deal with a decent part of the invading force, while Wilma and her Rail Cannons will deal with the rest.
And that was all the preparation for now, so I teleported Wilma over to where she’d set up her cannons, and headed back to the Narra Kingdom’s staging area for its army.
While I waited for the final preparations of the Kingdoms' armies, I focused on my All-Sight skill. Since I had it, I barely had to rely on soul copies for spying.
As said earlier, the Power Structure holder was still camping in the room with the magic circle. Meanwhile the other ‘origin numbers’ were in a meeting room inside the parliament building of the states.
And it was the first time I’d seen all 34 origin numbers in the same place at the same time.
I know I’ve talked about the Power Structure ‘origin numbers’ before, but as a reminder, a ‘origin number’ is a person holding the title “Power Structure X’. The X naturally being a number.
Yes, there are 34 origin numbers. At one point I assumed there would have been 10 of them, but with the new info the more likely case is that the amount available matches the skill level of the Power Structure Unique Skill.
Most of the 34 were no problem. While all of them were above level 100 and only the first 5 were above 200. Hajime’s level had risen, and he was now sitting at the 570 I saw him at in the past, so he was clearly ready. But to gain that level, he had drained the levels from hundreds of his subordinates.
PS2 was 290, and with her skills she was quite dangerous. I’m honestly not sure the Card Venturers can go against her, but luckily I have a duo that can.
PS4 had also reached the ‘High-Leveled Individual’ level of 256, but I’ll just keep Unika ready for him.
Sadly it isn’t just the letters and sub-numbers who are in danger because of the Power Structure. I learned a few days ago that it goes further than just the titles.
Anyone who is ‘under’ someone in the Power Structure is technically a part of it. As long as there is a Soul connection between the two.
Let’s use myself as an example. If I joined the Power Structure, Ria and Agunan would also automatically be under the Structure. That is because Ria is my slave and Agunan dedicated his life to me. And that is an extremely strong soul connection.
My wives would also be under it, as I’ve given my God blessing to them. They wouldn’t be nearly as thingly bound to it as my ‘slaves’, but they would have a connection.
And with certain Soul Magic spells, I could make each of my employees also a part of the Structure. And it isn’t a difficult spell. Almost anyone can cast it, especially if they have a magic circle for the spell. And the people in the Power Structure cast it daily.
So in short, basically all of the United States is under the Power Structure, thus anyone can be drained of their stats, and those stats can be ‘put to use’ by more important people.
I watched as the origin numbers began teleporting away from the Parliament building. Not by using teleportation magic, but by using premade, single use teleportation devices. The only one in the country who can make them, or even use Space Magic, is the Power Structure holder.
Not all of them left, a handful stayed in the room including PS2, PS5 and a few others, but 2 and 5 were the big ones among the few who stayed.
The rest teleported to different fronts of the operation, and I quite quickly had the locations for all of them, except Power Structure 4. The silver alpha wolf-kin had gone to a location I wasn’t monitoring, so I’ll need to find him soon.
But first, I opened teleportation gates so that both the Narra and Ruiso forces could move into their fortresses, and I also teleported the HomeBase backup they’d have to the locations.
That means I only really deployed the Card Venturers, as I want to keep the rest as special forces units I can deploy where they are needed.
I then began to keep an eye on the six places of interest. The battle of Ruiso, the battle of Narra, the slaughter at Smorog because that isn’t a battle, the release of the Soul of Darkness, the release of the Immortal Snail, and lastly Hajime and the Power Structure holder in their cavern with the magic circle.
Those are the important places, and once Hajime is out of this time, it will be the time to end this farce.

I like the first two link rewards being Blue eyes and Dark Magician support. I’m curious what Brian would think of the rush duels and the two anime about it.
Anyway Brian has done an excellent job keeping track of States elites and I like his instant fortress plan along with mines with Trap Hole installs.
Admittedly I've never actually watched the Rush duel animes. I need to at some point, just never put aside the time to do so. But they do seem cool based on what I know, so Brian would like them as well. He might find them a bit lacking in terms of strategy, especially compared to VRAINS which had some amazing duels, but again, haven't actually watched the Sevens or Go Rush.
You have to know your enemy to know how to counter them. Also had to put their pre-fab skills to use, so instant fortress. And the Trap Hole mines are something I've had in mind for a long time, I just never put them to use since Brian has never had a situation where he has to defend an area like this. Sure you can argue putting them inside the HomeBase dungeon, but that place is already a massive mega-structure that is nearly impossible to penetrate.
