(Good morning, Master.)
(Good morning, Laura.) I responded. This time I didn’t accidentally call her that.
So, Alice didn’t come tonight. It could have been that she was scared last time, or she could be embarrassed after Mana told me she likes me.
Well, it’s morning and that means today's packs.

Daily Pack tokens: 5 |
Current Pack tokens: 5 |
Available packs : |
Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon |
Metal Raiders |
Magic Ruler |
Pharaoh’s Servant |
Labyrinth of Nightmare |
Legacy of Darkness |
And the big choice. What set to go with. The newer ones have better beat sticks as commons, but LoBY has the best rares. I think. Let’s just go with LoBY until I have a need for something, or until I open up the set lists.
Use a ‘pack token’ to open 1 pack of ‘Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon’ |
[Yes] [No] |
Yes, like five times over.
I actually got some really good stuff. The Red Medicine should be a potion and if it really heals 500hp it should be a high ranking one. Sparks was good the first time I used it, but that might have been because I used it on some goblins, and Hinotama is just an upgraded version of it. But the real legends of these packs are the Dark Magician and Pot of Greed.
I would probably be jumping for joy, if I didn’t already have a toploaded Dark Magician, but having another one couldn’t hurt. Unless they start fighting each other. But then again I can just alter them on cooldown. A toploader monster should have a cooldown equal to the time it was summoned for, so I can keep the first one summoned for 2 hours and then switch to the other one. By the time the second one runs out, the first one's cooldown should be over.
But, the real treasure is the Pot. I need a toploader for it. NOW!
(Laura.)
(I chose the cards to sacrifice for the sleeve and toploader, Master.)
Feint plan, Ameba, Basic insect, Chain energy, Dark gray, Dissolverock, 2x Drooling lizard, Eatgaboon, 2x Enchanting mermaid, Firegrass, 2x Flame manipulator, Hinotama soul, King Fog, 2x Kotodama, 2x Kurama, 2x Laser cannon armor, M-warrior #2, 2x Mystical sheep #2
25 cards to sacrifice. Just to get repeat use Pot of Greed. Well it will pay for itself in just two days, so I say it is completely worth it.
(Approved. Make the sleeve and toploader.) I ordered Laura.
(Done. Would you like me to apply them to the Pot of Greed?) She asked.
(Yes, and then I want to activate it so give it to me.)
(As you wish, Master.)
From my skill the bottom of the toploaded Pot of Greed came out. I grabbed it and held it in my hand.
“You are my tool for more daily packs.” I said out loud. “I activate Pot of Greed.”
Last time I did this, a robotic voice said I gained pack tokens, but this time a system window came up.
Would you like to consume 1 ‘toploader’ ‘Pot of Greed’ to increase your daily pack tokens by 2? |
[Yes] [NO] |
Well, might as well. I can only activate it once a day, anyway. As I chose yes, the toploader Pot of Greed in my hand vanished and I got a new message from the system.
Daily pack token number increased by 2. Total is now 7 |
Gained 2 pack tokens |
Good. Now two more packs to open. LoBY be kind and give me another Pot.
Another Pot of Greed? What is my luck today? And even a Red-Eyes. It might not be a Blue-Eyes, but it’s still a fine dragon.
Do I have enough throwaway stuff to make another sleeve and toploader for the second Pot. Red-Eyes can wait.
(I have made the pre-choice, Master.)
Armaill, Dark king of the abyss, Dissolverock, 2x Drooling Lizard, Eternal rest, Fireyarou, Hyosube, King Fog, 2x Laser cannon armor, M-warrior #1, 2x Mammoth graveyard, Raise body heat, Ray & temperature, Root water, Saggi the dark clown, 2x The 13th grave, 2x The furious sea king, Two-mouth darkruler, 2x Violet crystal
(Go ahead and do it Laura.) I told her after skimming over the list. I think most of that is just LoBY garbage. No, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to call you garbage. I still need that Blue-Eyes.
(Master, the toploader Pot of Greed is ready.) Laura informed me.
(Thank you.) I thanked her and took the card in my hand.
“I activate Pot of Greed.” Again the system screen appeared.
Would you like to consume 1 ‘toploader’ ‘Pot of Greed’ to increase your daily pack tokens by 2? |
[Yes] [NO] |
Of course, Yes. Again, the Pot of Greed disappeared from my hand.
Daily pack token number increased by 2. Total is now 9 |
Gained 2 pack tokens |
And now, the last two packs of the day. I hope I didn’t curse myself. Well, only one way to find out.
An Exodia piece. That’s not bad. Everything else is.
(Laura, use all the cards except the right leg and remove trap to make sleeves.)
(As you wish, Master, but there is one card too many. What would you like me to hold on to?)
(Keep one of the Aqua Madoor.)
(Yes, Master. Three sleeves made.)
(Thank you, Laura.)
Well, I would call that a success. Two Pot of Greeds, a Red-Eyes and a Dark Magician. And let’s not forget the Exodia piece. I’m not sure I’ll ever have the entire Exodia, but dreamers be dreaming.
Let’s get ready for breakfast.
Odd, didn't the pot only give 2 tokens, rather than increase daily amount? Way too OP if so, especially since he can repeatedly use them now.
Correction, he cannot reuse them (if he let's the skill consume them). And if he doesn't let the skill consume the card, it would only give two pack tokens like it did in CH.2. This effectively takes the part of having to activate Pot of Greed daily to gain the tokens.
@nro_8 May want to change the wording on the text then:
Daily pack token number increased by 2. Total is now 7
Daily pack token number increased by 2. Total is now 9
As you can see, it says it increased the daily pack token by 2 instead of giving him 2 pack token.
Though, yeah, see what you were trying to do now -- skipping having to repeat the process.
@nro_8 Oh, so a unsleeved pot of greed just gives him 2 straightup, and a top loader pot of greed gives him a permanent increase to his daily amount, I was wondering why they vanished
"Exodia!!! Obliterate!!"
I hope he say that when he use exodia effect xD
Of course he will say it.
I would prioritize getting a remove trap sleeve or toploaded.
Nice Redeyes is my favorite card I would topdeck that immediately.
But why aqua madoor?
Just because it has the biggest numbers
I can't help but wonder how full exodia would even work once summoned.
Probably something similar to summoning Obelisk the Tormentor, or one of the other God cards. Aka I haven't decided yet and it would depend on the story moment it was done in.
Good ideas are welcome
And even not so good ones
Reading up on how it was used in the anime (outside of duels, anyway), confirms my thoughts on making Exodia something akin to Obelisk, but with the ability to Obliterate once. F*ing off after that never to be seen again. Unless all of it's pieces are in sleeves/toploaders.
@nro_8
I mean, I would definitely take the time to get a whopping 100 cards to make him a permanent use
@John764 125 thank you very much. 5 pieces, 5 cards per sleeve, 20 cards per toploader, and you need both for each card. But still, possibly worth.
I do think it's power should be higher than 2000/2500 though, the sum of all the pieces, since that seems awfully low.
@John764 I base the power often on the anime variants (when possible) and Exodia did go against Zorc in the anime. And could have possibly even won, if it had a different summoner. That's why I said it would likely be around the strength of Obelisk the Tormentor.
@nro_8 well if you were to break his seal, and combine all his pieces, he should be in the infinite range. Like he was sealed and split in 5 because he was way to strong. The seal limit his strength to that of the summoner hence why he couldn't beat Zorc in the anime.
@Ruiso Again, you make a point to compare Exodia to Obelisk. Obelisk the Tormentor can (in the anime) gain infinite attack with its effect. The base strength being similar, but both having different ways of unleashing their infinite power.
@nro_8 Exodia is comparable to Holactie as they both have crap attacks but they have win conditions. Obelisk power becomes infinite in the anime but Exodia's power was infinite before the anime, just sealed and the split in to the pieces for being too strong, they didn't deemed Obelisk as powerful so he is bassically as strong as sealed Exodia, speaking only about his raw attacking power, that is why he has the effect to win the duel rather than getting massive gains in the anime, like if Seto hasent tributed obelisk in his duel vs Ishtar, he would've lost, in the opposite, if you get all 5 pieces of exodia, you win the duel, even if they have cards that can negate effects, as win conditions can't be negated in the game. So it is a matter of what you want to do with him really, like if you were to restore him he would be much more powerfull than Obelisk, as the effects of the game, anime and whatnot might be translated differently in this universe, as not even the system knows the cards, anime, lore, etc..
@Ruiso The big problem I have and why I almost insist on comparing exodia to obelisk is exodia in GX when he is wielded by Adrian. Even with Exodia's power, Adrian loses to Yubel. And I'm not just talking about the duel, but in their 'spirit power' match as well. Well that one is more of a draw. That is why I can't say that Exodia is as powerful as Holactie. Holactie is a Creator God, Exodia is, well a monster at the end of the day. Near godlike monster, but not a god or a divine beast.
Like remember, Exodia was just a mortal that manage to aquire the power of a Creator, hence why he isn't of the Divine attibute and it is a spellcaster type monster and he was punished and made an example for it. For all we know the armor could be part of the spliting seal and there is just a normal looking person inside. Like in the old days, there weren't that many cards with actual duel ending condition effects. Only Exodia and Holacite had them on the monsters side in the OG anime with the Destiny Board cards and like 2 or 3 more spell and traps.
Like in the battle of Zork, Exodia, sealed as he was, did more than the god cards combined effort. And his power was held back by Yugi as he wasn't strong enough, even though he is the most powerful human in the world at the time.
@Ruiso True, but the big problem remains. How do you showcase 'Duel winning power' outside of a duel? Just infinite attack? Wouldn't that just blow up the planet? Or just enough power to blow away any monster in front of you? Again, how is that 'duel winning'? Problems like this have more than just one answer, but I don't really know what that answer is.
@nro_8 Also if we are talking more about the Zorc battle, Priest Seto's Blue-Eyes did probably the most damage to Zorc. How do you explain that? Because that Blue-Eyes was powered by both Priest Seto and Kisara, therefor having two souls worth of power? Or because of love? At the end of the day, the power scaling in that arc is a mess, but it might still be the best I have to go on.
@nro_8 yeah, I forgot about that Blue-eyes... it has been ages. Like in my mind and conspiracies about Exodia, to me he was the original Wizard, ashieving to becoming a god of magic, Holacite who was the only god at the time, didn't took it well, for a reason or another, like maybe Exodia was evil, though I am not gonna take that as it complicates things as the history is writen by the victor and Exodia is one of the oldest duel monaters around. Like both Holacite and Exodia had a confrontation of which Holacite won and he split Exodia in to 5 pieces, but was to weak to continue existing as Holacite and split into the normal three God cards. Millenias later the humans found tge five pieces of Exodia and sealed them with the Spellbinding Circle so that they can use Exodia on their duels. Since Exodia is kinda dead, it uses the wielder's power to attack and do stuff, hence why his strength is dependant to the summoner in the anime and why Holacite cannot be around either as it used his Creator's powers to beat Exodia.
Like a fully unleashed and Unsealed toploaded Exodia might be able to be kept summoned indefinately and the system can use that as her new body, like the yellow armor might come of reveling a girl that looks like an ancient version of Laura... like Yugi and Atem or the priest and Seto. It is up to you really.
@Ruiso Not gonna lie, that's the best idea this far. Just upgrade Laura from system support to a god by using Exodia to give her a body.
Glad you like it, that is the difirence between Exodia and Obelisk, infinite inherent power and temporal infinite power as it isn't just about the gains is how you use them. One is a lot more flexible than the other, maybe she can oblinerate something once a week or something. I imagine him saying, "Laura, Oblinerate!!!"
@Ruiso
Ahem... Obliterate
@John764
@nro_8 In the chapter #1 of yugioh, Yugi Defeat to Blue Eyes of Kaiba with Exodia.
