Before Birth
Crimson red slick back hair, and same color eyes were staring down on a document while a right hand with a golden ring on one finger.
The hand held a quill and scribbled down on paper, stopping once to dip the quill in the ink before continuing to write.
The stern face of the Baron seemed to be tired, his red browse furrowed as he kept writing down on the document while another pile of documents were on the side of his desk.
It was that time of the year again, continuous approval, writting and reading of documents that seemed to be endless.
It was just before winter maybe a month or so before the cold struck.
he had to ensure that citizens of his territory won't suffer from the cold, he had to approve documents allowing merchants to enter and sell their products and leave or stay and leave after the winter but that rarely happens, he also had to read multiple letters sent by the miners, knights and maids who wish to leave and be with their family for the duration of winter.
The knights can be given leave as there is minimal danger to the territory during winter, he can let a few of the maids leave as well however the miners are a difficult issue.
*Sigh*
With a sigh he continued his work but suddenly stopped as he heard hastened and loud footsteps, he waited.
The footsteps got louder the closer they got and stopped.
The door to his office was swung open with enough strength for it to slam into the wall creating a *Bang* sound loud enough to startle someone.
A woman stood there, white flowing hair that traveled down her back to her waist, clear Crystaline blue eyes that sparkled when he looked at them, smooth pale skin that was smoother than porcelain, pink glossy lips that smiled at him.
The beauty infront of him was wearing a Rather unflattering loose floral pattern dress, there was a visible bump on her stomach indicating that the woman was pregnant.
"Husband I've come to bargain"
The baron groaned at her statement, yes this is not the first time this happened.
He understood that pregnant women have a lot of needs and that's what the maids are for to find ways to meet those needs, he doesn't understand how a 7 month pregnant woman would have the strength and energy to be so active at this stage of her pregnancy.
"No, go back to your chambers"
"What?! No I wanna do something"
"No, you're pregnant I can't have you do anything"
"Bah that's the same excuse you used last time, come on give some work"
"DAMN IT WOMAN!! No you're pregnant"
This is definitely not how pregnant women act maybe it is he wouldn't know, this has been happening since her pregnancy was confirmed.
At first he figured it was the excitement of bearing her first child, he was excited himself.
he could finally have an heir and teach his son all he needs to know but after months this behavior continues her unreasonableness went up, from her wanting to cook herself to wanting to command the knights.
"the knights could use a women's touch" is what she said.
what happened to his charming and gentle wife, she wasn't this energetic before so what's going on? Her pregnancy was definitely abnormal.
"STOP using that as an excuse, it's boring being pregnant you know"
"I didn't say it was exciting but you are pregnant and need to act like it"
"Come on let me read those documents, I want to do something"
"NO!
"Please?"
"No"
"Pretty please"
"THIS is ridiculous"
The Baron said before grabbing a little Bell at the side of his desk opposite the pile of documents he shook it and waited.
While he was doing this his wife walked to the desk, took a bunch of document off the table and started reading them the Baron let this happen.
After a few minutes a maid walked in.
"You called my lord?"
A woman with black short hair questioned.
"Yes please take my wife to her chambers"
"No don't take me to my chambers take him to his chambers"
"Milady please come with me"
The maid said, she directed the Baroness to the door.
The maid would listen to her since the Baroness is the second authority after the Baron but since the Baron is the one who ordered her she can't disobey.
"Clara I'm your friend listen to me"
Thr Baroness offered her plea.
"Clara I'm your Boss obey my order"
But the Baron countered
Who was the maid going to listen to.
Clara stood back and thought about the two before speaking again.
"I'm sorry Lady Emilia but please don't resist"
Clara again directed the Baroness toward the door.
"Traitor!! I thought we were friends."
Said the Baroness before dropping the papers in her hands and left with Clara leaving the Baron by himself.
Looking at the papers on the floor the Baron sighed.
"What a handful"
.....
Two Months later
the Baron was walking back and forth outside a room his wife was currently in, his usual slick back hair was a mess and he had bags under his eyes, indicating the lack of sleep.
He repeatedly chewed on his thumb nail.
A few days ago a mage had discovered that the abnormal state of his wife was due to excessive mana, apparently the baby was going to be born with huge amounts of mana and that mana was leaking into the mother.
This was discovered when Lady Emilia discharged a large amount of mana momentarily during dinner, this kept happening once everyday so the Baron called for a mage.
However the problem is that the mana being produced by the baby is dangerous as the baby itself doesn't have the body nor the mind required to wield the mana and could die from it thus it needs to be sealed, however in order to do that the baby needs to be out of the mother to properly place the seal but that can be dangerous to both the mother and the baby, hence the Baron's current emotional state.
Both his wife and Son dying is not something he wants to think about.
A click was heard, the Baron turned his head towards the door and waited for it to open.
The door opened revealing a bearded man wearing a white and slightly bloody apron and gloves.
Seeing the blood the Baron panicked.
"What happened is the baby okay? Is my wife okay, tell me!"
The baron franticly spoke, the gods would not forsake him now, would they?
"Calm down Baron Saxonwold the lady and baby are fine, my apprentices are currently using healing spells on the Lady to make sure she recovers, I've already placed the suppression seal."
the Baron relaxed, his son has been born and his wife is recovering so everything is fine, sure he was born a month earlier than expected but everything is fine.
"Also congratulations, it's a perfectly healthy little girl"
"Huh?"
........
A/N: Hope you like the chapter.
"Husband I've come to bargain"
Is this a docor strange reference
@Wacotako exactly
@waka-sama Is your name a shakira reference? Waka waka eh eh
i just hope that updates are fast or the chaps are longer
@Kamisamaisayurilover I don't know about longer chapters but I write till I feel like I've written enough but I'll try to make longer chapters
@waka-sama ths
is this an original world
Yeah I said so in the first chapter
@waka-sama I like the idea love see what's different from Naruto system that rabbit goddess used to new mana based system and how different it will be like sense he made it he doesn't need hand signs foes that make it useless add on or is it adapted hand signs to like say magic circles or something
- makes the mc overpowered - ‘place a seal on it’ whats the point in making your mc overpowered if you are just going to instantly nerf her? This better last like a chapter at most before being removed.
I mean... Better now than removing all her powers after a really long arc of just wanting to return to the status quo; some people like troupes like that but I can't stand taking away the main characters powers x.x
@Basically_God Ikr. A free will and unhindered ability for me at least is the best things for an mc. Especially when the author doesn’t force other characters to infringe on their personal space or force them into things.
I like this wife, she's going to be a fun mother
indicating the lack of sleep
This is unnecessary as the bags are already the indicator.
Yet another nerf on the mc. Why even bother making her op from the get go if it's just keep getting nerfed.
Very good
Thanks for the chapter
