CHAPTER 9: THE STUBBORN SEVENTH STAR CONQUERED!!

The difficulty of controlling Sixth and at the same time getting beaten up by the seventh star is too much.” Mo Fan sighed and thought, _I wonder if I can control all seven of these scoundrels and form a Star Orbit before the end of this (2months & 25days since awakening) month? Speaking of which, Monkey said that most people can only practice ‘Control’ an hour every day… If they trained an additional five minutes, then they’d collapse. I could practice only 5 hours without little loach’s help when I first started… But I can’t take that into account as Little loach is the personification of cheating after all, but still it seems that they were only able to meditate for one and half hour, as I was able to hold on for three hours, Is it because I awakened dual elements?_

There was a limit to each of the magic student’s Magic Stamina, and every time one attempted to control a star, it would deplete their mana. Most of the current Magic Student’s mana levels only allowed one hour of ‘Control’ training.

Having one more hour advantage, coupled with the great effort Mo Fan put into his daily training, allowed his cultivation speed to already surpass his peers by a lot. According to the henchmen, even the most outstanding student in the class could only control 1 star.

Of the 7 stars, Mo Fan was already able to control 6 of them. Furthermore, he hoped to achieve up to seven stars within the month. It seemed like awakening dual elements not only gave Mo Fan double the elements, but also an extended amount of time for him to practice compared to other people!

The class started at eight in the morning, and the first class was the “Magical Beast Knowledge” class. The one in charge of teaching the “Magical Beast” subject was the homeroom teacher of the class next door, Zhang Jianguo.

“That guy can control two stars? Bi*ch Please!! This daddy can control six stars; I just need one last star,” Mo Fan thought to himself in disdain. He didn’t say this out loud though. Instead, he just walked to his seat in leisure.

“Alright, please open the Magical Beast book. Today, I will continue to talk about the common Magical Beasts. As everyone knows, the Magical Beasts are located outside of the city, which we humans reside in, and they are extremely hostile towards humans. They wander all over the place and fight when they encounter each other, as well. If a Mage was to tread outside of the city and encounter a One-Eyed Magic Wolf, then what should he do?” Zhang Jianguo already started talking about this subject with a great delight.

One-Eyed Magic Wolf…

This was the kind of Magical Beast that resided in the area closest to the human city. Mo Fan had only seen one through the textbooks and videos; they had a vicious appearance.

A normal person was unable to deal with this kind of organism. Only a Mage was able to battle them. However, if the group of Magic Students, who couldn’t activate their magic, was to meet a One-Eyed Magic Wolf, then it’d be a bloody massacre.

The One-Eyed Magic Wolf was the highlight of the Magical Beast classes. Zhang Jianguo had already spent a month talking about this type of Magical Beast, which by this point, annoyed Mo Fan.

Currently, Mo Fan relied on his double cultivation time and little loach to reach the control of 6 stars. As long as he could focus his mind, then he could make the six stars obediently form a Star Orbit.

If he were to put even more effort in during his winter vacation, then he will most likely be able to activate the Basic-rank Ice Element Spell, ‘Ice Spread,’’ Zhang Xiaohou said.

“I know.”

“Big Brother, how are you not anxious at all? Let me tell you, him and his henchman, Zhao Kunsan, are already scheming a plan against you.”

“Don’t worry, let them come.”

Mo Fan’s current mind was full of how to control the seventh star; everything else was treated the same as air.

Zhang Xiaohou sighed, “Just be careful… This semester is will be over before you know it. You should really do your best until the next semester. If you can’t complete the Magic activation during the next semester’s end of term Magic Activation exam, then the school could find all kinds of excuses to force you to resign.”

After the school ended, Mo Fan went near the tree again. 

This time he was more determined than anything to complete the Star Orbit. He wanted to complete the Star Orbit before 3 months. 

He sat down beneath the tree with a stern face and entered his spiritual world. He began to align the stars slowly and steadily.

One... Two... Three... Four... Five... Six!

“Phoo~ let’s do this!” 

Mo Fan exhaled and went after the seventh, the most violent and notorious Star.

He guided his thoughts to slowly move after the illusive star. The Star was continuously dodging Mo Fan not letting him catch it, like a deer gracefully and desperately running away from the lion. 

Mo Fan knitted his brows as he split his will into two parts. He was trying to flank the Star from both sides not letting it run away from him. The Star was also quite cunning as it knew exactly what was happening, since it had no way running away now, it would boldly attack the intruder!

It turned it’s direction towards Mo Fan and went straight for him.

“Holy Shit!?” it caught Mo Fan by surprise. 

He immediately called back the split will to defend him, but it was too late. The Star Rammed into Mo Fan with everything it had! 

Mo Fan was literally blasted out of his own spiritual world mercilessly, while the Seventh star also bounced back from the impact.

“AARGH!!” Mo Fan was writhing in pain on the ground as he held his head.

He had never seen a star this hard to deal with. He searched on the internet but he didn’t find anything worthwhile there as well.

It took 10minutes for the severe headache to go away. He sat down again and went inside his spiritual world again.

“This time for sure!” Mo Fan Exclaimed furiously.

But to no avail, the result he experienced was the same no matter how many times he tried. He kept going at it for 3 days straight but the Star was too cunning, at times he would attack, at times he would faint and evade, and heck every opportunity he got to attack he never missed. 

Mo Fan was fucking pissed right now. He didn’t noticed that every time the Star attacked or every time he tried to conquer the Star his Mental Strength increased little by little right from 0!!

Right now it was at 0.8th Level, it was truly a fortune within a misfortune but of course Mo Fan didn’t noticed this subtle change.

After the Classes finished, Mo Fan arrived and sat under the same tree and went inside his spiritual world to challenge it again. It was the last day of Magic Activation deadline which Mo Fan set for Himself!

“Lets Go!” Mo Fan exclaimed.

This time Mo Fan was determined no matter what he will conquer that stubborn and arrogant star.

The repeat continued of Mo Fan getting his ass kicked but since Mo Fan never gave up and kept on trying again and again, all the stars looked tired as well!

After the Fifteenth time Mo Fan got kicked out. He was Worn out and tired. Even though his Magic Stamina (Mana) was being restored at an abnormal pace and his Mental Strength which made another small Breakthrough to 0.9th level at around 6th try, did not help at all.

He was drained Spiritually and Mentally. He had been absolutely like a Madman trying to convince it by all means possible but it was no use.

“Fuck... Just what does it want????” Mo Fan Shouted in Exasperation.

He closed his eyes and entered again to challenge it again after a 15min break.

He looked at the Star and it was also exhausted, it was not running around and was Standing in one place looking at him like an Imperious Empress ready to take him down with her.

Mo Fan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at this.

He attempted again and this time he used everything he had. He quickly aligned the six stars who were also exhausted because of being caught in the crossfire between the two! 

He looked at the Star and went all out from the front, no tricks this time. Similarly the Star also went all out to fight him with bear hands. At this point it was him or it. Mo Fan extended his will and put pressure on the Star. Seemingly the outside of the spiritual world was also a little chaotic around Mo Fan, as the stones, Leaves and dust were rising into the air it circled around him like the rings of Saturn. 

Mo Fan was focusing with everything he had. The Star suddenly began to lose ground against him and started to back away. Mo Fan put more pressure and slowly moved it inside the Star Orbit against it’s will. 

He was succeeding! Mo Fan was overjoyed, the Star was giving in, it can’t hold out much longer!! It was now or never!!!

“AAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!”

Mo Fan Shouted fiercely as he pulled the Star into the Star Orbit forcefully whether it like it or not. 

He yelled so loudly that the locals which were watching him intently about the phenomenon he was creating, some were even video shooting him were suddenly frightened and ran 5metres away from him.

The ring of dust and leaves suddenly exploded as his Mental Strength Increased and became 1. Then suddenly a Full Star Orbit appeared in Mo Fan’s hand and Lightning Element was channeled from it. The kid who was nothing but around 16yrs old was Covered in Purple Glow as he channeled his Basic Level 1 Lightning Spell.

“LIGHTNING STRIKE: PYTHON SCAR”

As he invoked the spell an enormous amount of Lightning poured out from Mo Fan’s right Hand.

As Mo Fan extended his Hand toward a stone wall, A huge Lightning Arc in the shape of a Python charged towards the Wall.

BOOOM!!!!!

The Lightning Python smashed on the wall and blasted a part of it to pieces but It did not went through. 

As Mo Fan released the spell he noticed that a lot of unwanted and extra energy of the spell was leaking out of Mo Fan’s hand before he even fired the spell! That’s why the damage which would’ve taken place originally didn’t appear and the spells power was weakened a lot.

But even a weakened spell was able to blast half of the rock wall away!!

Just how powerful will the spell be when Mo Fan cast it perfectly! He was already gloating and his heart was filled with happiness as he was not able to contain his joy and was laughing like an idiot.

_Shit, that is so freaking cool!!_

Recalling the Lightning Strike twirling around his arm and the dreadful feeling of being able to easily eliminate a person was unprecedented. It was like a dream!

_This is magic??_

Mo Fan’s heart throbbed incessantly. Mo Fan could still feel the might of the Lightning force. It came from within his body; he could control it, and it brought a strength he never considered before.

The Locals caught the whole thing on the video but the Magic’s light disrupted the camera and they were not able to catch which Element’s spell he cast in video.

The people looked at him with utter respect and admiration that such a young boy was able to cast such terrifying magic.

Finally noticing the gazes of the people around, Mo Fan Blushed and bowed embarrassingly and apologetically as he ran away from the scene.

Mo Fan wanted to share this joyful event with someone, but he was not able to since he never shared his secret with anyone.

“Ah~ right I haven’t spoken or seen Xinxia for almost 3months now. Let’s go visit her this weekend!!” Mo Fan exclaimed as it had indeed been a while since he saw Xinxia!

Even after traversing he did not pay attention to her because he was confused of this world. 

“Right! Let’s tell her stories of my Science World, I want to notice what her reaction will be! Hehe~ I can’t wait to meet her!”

Mo Fan Joyfully hummed the rest of the way to the dorm~
