5 Days to Annual Practical Examination.

After Classes Finished, Tang Yue suddenly arrived in the classroom after 5 minutes. She looked like she was searching for someone.

“Teacher Tang! Did you need something?” Zhou Min who had become a total fan girl of her asked.

“Is Mo Fan here? I wanted to give him some tips about Fire Element since the annual examination was just around the corner.” She said while looking around.

Actually Ms. Tang Yue had given all the fire element students some tips about activating it including Zhou Min. Only Mo Fan was left.

“He’s not here teacher. Anyways forget that study wreck, would you please give me some tips about magic activation? I keep losing energy when the spell activates and it becomes weak as a result.” She said with Gleaming eyes.

“Eh but I just taught you that before...” Tang Yue said while slightly leaning back as this student was always so pushy. Not only that but lessons with her always end up taking a long time and she keeps hugging her.

Tang Yue made a troubled expression as she wanted to turn her down but in the end she couldn’t and had to go along with Zhou Min for 4 hours.

It was already 8pm, Tang Yue was tired and drained from dealing with her. She was returning from the training grounds. It was pretty dark, but she had no problems seeing in the dark since she was Shadow Mage as well.

As she exited the school building, and passing through the boys dorm, she noticed a Young man who was wearing a black mask and had red hair was sneaking away from the dorm building. 

After that he clumsily jumped over the fence and crossed the school’s perimeter.

Tang Yue was not surprised that a student would sneak away at night. But she had never seen a student with red hair before. She decided to follow him as she quickly casted Fleeing Shadow. 

The Red Haired guy was running towards a mountain behind the Main Commercial building of the Bo City which was only 10 minutes walk from the school. 

He quickly entered the mountain through a no entry sign and went to his ‘Magic Spell Hideout’ which was clearly away from the city.

The area was spacious and isolated. There was a huge 5meter tall stone boulder. The young man stood across it.

He quickly removed his backpack and threw at one side. He meditated for 5 minutes and soon stood up, as he faced the boulder with flames in his hands.

“FIRE BURST: BONES SCORCHER!” 

As the spell was invoked, fierce flames burst out from his body and condensed on his palm as they were shot towards the boulder. 

BOOOMM!!!

The flames impacted against the boulder and erupted on it wildly before quickly wrapping it in fire as they went inside it and dissipated.

He quickly casted another spell within a second and kept casting them.

Tang Yue was dumbfounded, watching the scene.

The red hair young man had casted second level of fire burst! His mastery of Star Orbit and Spell was already at pro level. He was able to cast his spells within a second.

And the main thing was he exited from the first year students’ dorm building! That means this guy is a first year student!

“Who.. is he?” Tang Yue wondered.

After casting Bones Scorchers for 10 minutes straight, he sat down on the ground to catch his breath.

“phew~ even after casting so many of level 2 spells, I was still not able to destroy that thing. Ahh~ this is quite tough!” Mo Fan said as he removed his mask and his wig.

He laid on the ground for a bit and stared at the sky full of stars~ 

It was a wonderful sight! No matter how many times he watched he just couldn’t get enough of it.

He stretched out his hand sideways to grab the bottle. But for some reason  water bottle was not there. 

Gulp!

_Gulp..? But I haven’t even drink any water yet_ 

Mo Fan thought as he heard a gulping sound. 

“Here, you can drink now” 

“Oh Thank you very muc...!” A pleasant and beautiful voice resounded in the surroundings as it tickled his ears. It was an alluring voice he had heard a lot and was hooked on it.

At first he didn’t realize anything wrong but mid way through his sentence he quickly got up and stood on guard as he connected his Star Orbit in an instant.

But it soon crumbled as he saw who it was. 

The moment he laid his eyes on the beautiful girl in the middle of night, he fell for her on the spot. 

She looked beautiful to the point where the word beautiful would be meaningless in front of her. 

Mo Fan was enchanted by Tang Yue under the glow of the stars. He just stared at her in a trance. Seeing her in a place like this was new to him. He almost had a nosebleed because of her ‘S’ shaped body, which was standing tall, not wanting to bow down to anyone! 

Mo Fan wanted to pin her down right this instant. But he still withheld the urge.

“Ms. Tang Yue? What are you doing here?” Mo Fan asked her while feeling surprised.

“I could ask the same question to you as well. What are you doing here at this hour?” She saw everything of what he was doing but still asked.

“I... Um nothing... Yes I was taking a simple stroll nothing else! By.. the way... Um when did you arrived here?” Mo Fan said while his voice started to crack up a little in nervousness.

_Shit did she see me using magic? What should I do if she did!_ Mo Fan’s heart was in turmoil. 

“Well from the time when you clumsily climbed the school’s backside wall, arrived here to this remote place which is almost outside the safe zone and started Casting spells at that boulder.” Tang Yue said smilingly. Her smile was beautiful, Mo Fan again went into a trance when she smiled. She giggled a little when she saw his expression.

Mo Fan immediately recovered from it and looked tensed as he was looking at her. 

He didn’t expected to be followed. No in the first place how did she follow him? He didn’t heard a single sound or aura nor breath of anyone when he left the school.

This time, Cold sweat appeared on his forehead as he thought about the situation he was in. His speed of Cultivation to be honest is nothing but inhumane. If his strength was revealed, then the chances of him being branded as a member of Black Vatican were rather high because he was neither from an influential clan or had a mysterious background. His family circumstances were quite obvious. If he wanted to get away from this situation then he would have to reveal the existence of Little loach. This was one thing he didn’t wanted to do no matter what. He was 100% sure she will confiscate his stupid little awesome pendant! AND to be honest a person’s heart was fickle, if she perhaps had a change of heart then his face appearing in the news paper tomorrow was rather high. 

‘A Handsome looking genius of Tian Lan Magic High school was found dead on the mountain behind the Commercial building. Cause unknown.’

“Um.. I... Err...” He was literally stuttering. Even if he wanted to run away, he would be caught pretty easily and he definitely could not win against her no matter what. 

He had dual elements? So what, his teacher also had two elements and they were most likely at intermediate level.

Checkmate! 

He was indeed checkmate!

“So Mr. Mo Fan, care to explain why you were able to cast a Level 2 Fire Burst? It’s virtually impossible for you to cultivate that fast. Not to mention that Mana Capacity you have. Don’t tell me! You’re a member of Black Vatican~~” As soon as she saw Mo Fan’s flustered expression, she knew he had a secret as to why he was able to cultivate so fast! 

Of course she didn’t believed that he was a member of the Black Vatican, since she had experience dealing with them before, they were rather cautious and never leave a trail behind compared to that Mo Fan was 2 year old at concealing his tracks. She started to tease him a little instead, she had built up a lot of frustration and stress by dealing with that Zhou Min. Mo Fan will be her stress reliever. 

_This guy always has a poker face on him at school. It’s quite fun to see his Troubled face~” Tang Yue mused as she was having fun.

She moved close to him as she placed her finger on his chest and released a little of her aura to frighten him into spilling his secrets..

To her the aura she released may have been nothing, but to Mo Fan it was quite threatening! 

Mo Fan staggered a few steps back in fright.

_Shit, There’s no other way!_ Mo Fan said as he felt helpless. 

This just gave him another reason to become stronger. Otherwise any Tom, dick and harry could threaten him if he was weak.

“Sigh... Okay Ms. Tang Yue, I’ll tell you. It’s because of this pendant that I was able to cultivate this faster than others. Also I’m not a member of Black Vatican. Please don’t compare me with those scums” He sighed and told her the truth. As he unbuttoned his top buttons of the shirt.

He took out Little Loach and showed it to her. She brought her head closer to his chest as he did not remove it from his neck and she stared at it. Mo Fan felt a little embarrassed and the sweet scent of her shampoo was emitting from her head. 

He felt an urge to kiss her, but he knew he would be beaten to death if he actually did that. 

_Yup as I thought this girl is poison to me, which I cannot free myself from_ Mo Fan thought as he looked at her.

Tang Yue took the pendant in her hand as she closed her eyes to probe it with her will. She quickly opened her eyes in astonishment as she looked at Mo Fan.

“Where did you find this?” She asked in a serious tone.

“Its a family heirloom given to me by father.” Mo Fan replied as he made the story up.

“Do you even know what this tool is? It’s a Heaven Grade Nebula Cultivation-Meditation Tool!! A treasure among treasures for Intermediate Mages!” She exclaimed while being shocked.

Mo Fan’s eyes widened in surprise, he knew little loach was special, but he never would’ve guessed it was the highest grade Nebula Cultivation-Meditation Tool!

“This thing gives a Cultivation efficiency of 400% compared to base Cultivation without a tool! It usually costs for around 200-300 Millions of RMB in the market.” She explained while analysing the pendant.

Mo Fan was shocked! 200-300 Million RMB?! 

Holy Crap!! 

He was rich! He could easily rule the Bo City with that kind of money! Is what he thought...

“Wait but...” Mo Fan suddenly interjected as he remembered something vague. 

“But? But What?” Tang Yue asked curiously while looking at Mo Fan.

“There was a time when I tried to sell it to an antique store. But he chased me away, saying it was a.. piece of... Charcoal..... WAIT!” Mo Fan suddenly exclaimed as he finally realised something important.

“What? What’s wrong?” Tang Yue asked him excitedly like a little girl while pulling on his shirt. She totally forgot she was teacher right now.

“That’s right! Ms. Tang Yue Little Loach wasn’t always looking like this. It used to look like a Mass of Charcoal when I first got it!” Mo Fan said as he suddenly remembered.

“Huh? How is that possible?” Tang Yue looked at the pendant and then at Mo Fan’s face.

“It is! The antique shop owner even chased me out because of it. Then one day it suddenly evolved into this Black Glossy pendant.” Mo Fan said but this idiot didn’t say the most crucial thing.

“Evolved... Wait EVOLVED?! You’re saying it evolved one day all of a sudden? A Magic tool that can evolve on it’s own?! That’s impossible!” Tang Yue said in disbelief as she pulled Mo Fan’s shirt. 

“It did, it was when I traversed h... Ah nothing, it was when I was sleeping..... HOLD UP! Ms. Tang Yue! Can you please tell me what are Soul Essences?” Mo Fan finally remembered a crucial detail which made him scared to death for the first time in his life. The soul essence of the warrior class wolf beast!

It was the soul essence of the warrior class wolf and the 50 sealing Talismans which provided enough energy for little loach to Evolve into what it is today.

Tang Yue was curious as to why was he asking that now. But after she looked his serious expression, she gave in and started explaining.

“At the moment when a Magical Beast or a person dies, its soul will leave its physical body. A soul leaving the body becomes a soul remnant after its life has ended. If the soul remains in the body after death, then it will emit a special radiance. That type of soul after death would be ten times more pure than a common Soul Remnant, and is called a Soul Essence. The Soul Essence retains the powers and stats of the  Magical Beast or human even after their death. A Soul Essence is an important material for refining a Cultivation/Meditation/Elemental tools, as well as many other Magic Tools and it can also evolve a Summoned/Contracted beasts. Soul essence cost for a lot in the market as they’re rare existence. Even the weakest servant class soul essence would go for 5 million in the market.” She explained patiently.

“Does a Soul Essence retain the characteristics of the being who was died?” Mo Fan asked in a serious tone.

“Yes, it does. That’s why it is used for Evolving your contracted or summoned beast.” Tang Yue replied.

“Ms. Tang Yue I think it absorbed a soul essence and that’s why it evolved” Mo Fan said while arriving at a conclusion. 

“Absorbed... I see! I only ever heard of it’s stories but to think it actually existed!” Tang Yue exclaimed as she looked at the pendant.

“What is it Ms. Tang Yue?” Mo Fan asked curiously.

“Your pendant is a growth type magic tool! It can grow by absorbing Soul essences and other magic Tools probably.” Tang Yue said in a serious tone.

Mo Fan was intently listening to her.

“Your Pendant is a special piece of Magic Equipment which is similar to a Stardust/Nebula Cultivation-Meditation Tool. The growth rate of this pendant is nothing to sneeze at as well.” She explained in a serious tone.

“I see...” Mo Fan said while nodding his head.

“Have you told this matter to anyone else?” Tang Yue’s expression was very serious as she said this to Mo Fan.

Mo Fan couldn’t help but feel startled. This was like a classic TV show where they’d murder someone for their belongings. Seeing the surroundings, the weather, the dark night, a certain student couldn’t handle the pressure of studying magic, thus, he jumped off the Mountain, More on page Two. Wasn’t everything conforming to the script?

“N-not yet,” Mo Fan replied.

_I’ll have to resign myself to my fate._

“Sigh... It’s fine that I was the one who found you with this. If it was any other teacher, they really would pull something disadvantageous to you in order to stand above thousands of others” Tang Yue said seriously as she looked at Mo Fan.

Mo Fan nodded as he agreed with her.

“Then, since you’re still a kid. I’ll have to confis....”

“Ms. Tang Yue, come with me, there’s something I have to show you!” Just as she was going to confiscate it. Mo Fan held her hand and pulled her along as he started walking back towards the dorm.

He couldn’t think of anything else to make her stop!

So he just started to buy some time. While he thought of what he could do to convince him.

“Huh? Wait a minute what are you..” Tang Yue was surprised as he suddenly led her along by holding her hand gently.

“No there is something I really want to show you right this instant!” Said Mo Fan without turning back as he was walking with her. The sensation of her hand was indeed too soft. He felt that he would break her hand if he gripped it tightly.

Tang Yue looked at Mo Fan’s flustered expression from behind, she felt amused and funny that he was being this desperate to save his pendant. But she didn’t laughed at him and withheld her urge to, as she wanted to see what he was going to do save his pendant.

She let him hold her hand for a while.

They soon arrived at the dorms hand in hand throughout the whole time in silence.

Lu Xiaobing from the same dorm was 10 meters away from the dorm’s entrance, sitting on a bench as he blended with the night atmosphere. 

He was fiddling with his phone, when he suddenly saw two figures moving towards the dorms direction. At first he didn’t think much of this, but after he saw the voluptuous figure hand in hand led by a tall and slender figure he immediately turned towards them.

_Shit isn’t this Ms. Tang Yue and... Mo Fan! They’re also holding hands! Heavens!? What happened?! How can that dreg get a taste of her before, I, this Daddy. Hmph! If I can’t have her then I won’t let you have her as well._ Lu Xiaobing enviously and quickly took a picture of them and spread it on the internet and on the school’s forum and since they were under the street light Mo Fan and Tang Yue’s figures and faces were clearly visible in the camera.

A Teacher and student hand in hand at night going towards the same dorm!

The tweet immediately became famous as all the 1500 students of First/Second/Third years boys and girls loved Tang Yue very dearly. Some even confessed but of course she turned them all down.

Everyone’s hate comments immediately appeared on his tweet and photo. 

“Ahhh!!! My goddess is being defiled!”

“Someone go kill Him!!”

“Look at the photo she is being dragged by him, he must’ve got some dirt on her.”
