CHAPTER 41: THE THING IT WANTED TO ABSORB

The sound of heavy doors moving rang out again, it was rather creepy. The exquisite and huge doors slowly opened. 

Mo Fan who was excited to know just what kind of treasure lies behind the door, but he was surprised.

The room was smaller than the previous one. It was a rectangular room, with normal interior. It was a common room which could be found at everyone’s home.

But it filled with Glass Stands and Glass Showcases. There were no Magic Equipment this time. 

Mo Fan was confused and disappointed a little that he was not able to find any equipment this time.

“What are these things, they look like Diamonds... All these Diamonds are huge! Even the smallest one is the size of a child’s fist and largest one is the size of an adult man’s fist.” Mo Fan said as he glanced at them with awe.

He had never seen diamonds these huge before in reality. But these Diamonds were a little different from normal ones.

They were emitting a sparkling white glow. They looked absolutely enchanting and mesmerizing. 

“If I found them in my previous world, I’m pretty sure I would be inexplicably rich right now.” Mo Fan said as he placed his hand on one of the glass shelf.

The room was small but it was filled to the brim with these diamonds. There were three types of diamonds. The small one, the medium sized one and the huge ones. Each of the category there were at least five hundred pieces of them. 

So in total there were One Thousand Five Hundred of them.

“I wonder how much one of them would sell for...” Mo Fan said.

Mo Fan opened the door of the Glass Shelf. 

“Hmm... Nebula Vein! Is what is written on this shelf and on this it’s Galaxy Vein, on that one is Cosmos Vein... I wonder what they do. It seems to be of something I can only use them when I reach Intermediate Level though, since it’s Nebula...” Mo Fan said as he read the markings

Mo Fan picked up one of the Nebula Vein in his hand. The moment he tried to probe it with his will, he immediately felt an enormous energy inside it which was quickly pouring inside his body.

His Lightning Stardust immediately started acting up when the enormous energy was poured inside his body! 

Mo Fan quickly threw the Nebula Vein away, as he was surprised and shocked as to what was happening with him. 

He didn’t knew what a Vein was yet. It was necessary item which will give you enough energy during the Realm Breakthrough process, so it was an extremely important item. 

The Nebula Vein which left Mo Fan’s hand crumbled into pieces as the energy inside it left the diamond. But the energy was not absorbed by Mo Fan, he only absorbed a tiny amount of it. The rest of the energy just scattered around the surroundings.

“Ah... What a waste... But the amount of energy it provided might be just enough for me to break the barrier of Intermediate level...! I see! These items are the things which will allow a Mage to perform a safe breakthrough! No wonder my dormant Lightning Stardust became active again!” Mo Fan exclaimed as he found the right answer.

Mo Fan was generally was pretty clever and calculating, he only acted dumb to surprise those around him, into taking him lightly and lowering their guards around him, everything was done according to how he wants. 

“Hmm~ this looks extremely tempting but... I don’t think it’s a good idea to perform a breakthrough in a place like this, which could crumble away any time... Let’s breakthrough after I get out of this place yeah!” Mo Fan said.

It was indeed dangerous to Breakthrough a major realm in a place like this. Not only were there higher chances of him failing because of his state of mind, but there was also a high chance of him not being able to breakthrough to the intermediate level ever again after failing multiple times.

It was a smart choice to do it after getting out of this place.

“If there nothing more than, let’s just move forward after storing these things. Even though these veins contain energy, Little Loach doesn’t seem interested in them...” Mo Fan said as he looked at his pendant which was acting like a normal pendant for a while.

Little Loach had absorbed an enormous amount of energy, it’s grade had increased and was almost at the peak of becoming a Heaven Grade Cosmos Tool.

It was only one step away, it would probably reach it once it absorbs the soul of this floor.

Cosmos Grade tool was something extremely beneficial for Super Mages. As it was a tool which would directly nourish their Cosmos, just like how a Nebula tool will nourish Intermediate Mages Nebulas.

Little Loach had evolved countless of times in a short period of time. It contained an unholy amount of energy inside it which could easily help Mo Fan breakthrough without even relying on the Veins. 

But even it understood that it shouldn’t do that in a place like this, after all if Mo Fan falls unconscious because of the extreme pain which affects the mind/soul/body during breakthrough, inside this unstable room, then this time it really would be the death of them.

It had not provided Mo Fan any energy even after Absorbing so many resources and soul essences. It had even demoted it’s performance to just a Stardust magic tool. 

The Only reason it was in here with Mo Fan was that, Little Loach wanted to gain the thing which it was longing for at the bottommost floor. 

The thing which it wanted to absorb for almost four thousand years now. The thing which belonged to it rightfully! It needed Mo Fan’s help for it. 

If Little Loach obtained what it wanted then it would really owe Mo Fan a favour for helping it in its quest.

That’s why it would co-operate with the human and would help him as long as it was needed. 

Besides a humans life span was only a mere hundred years. It was nothing but a blink of an eye for it, a being which was able to live for Hundred Thousand Years....
