Three years had passed since I got [Hide and Seek] skill, now my height reaches Aiena's breast while I stand in front of her, it's not that I intentionally measured with it, it is the only thing in reference that my face reaches too perfectly.

In these three years, I've killed various lower-level monsters in Zerah forest and raised my level multiple times, and due to being a kid, the stat boosts I gained were high for each of them. I got skills too, from fulfilling conditions and also leveling every few levels up. One gets skills according to the system's will,

I felt happy about my progress. The skills [Pouring] and [Cold hand] are the ones I got from leveling the former at level 9 and later at level 11.

[Pouring] is a skill that makes a low amount of water pour out of my hand in exchange for Mana, honestly, the basic water Glyph takes lesser mana and is more convenient, and [Cold hand] is a skill that doesn't cost much mana and it is also a kind of useless it makes my hand cold in the proportion of mana it uses, I don't know how this will be useful leaving pranks,

This [Hide and Seek] skill is very useful, am currently using its Hide side to alter my mana level seen by people with [Mana sight] or similar skills and also alter my skills to look fairly normal.

When I was lost in my thoughts, a voice came from beside me.

"Not going today?" Snow asked me

"I will stay at home today!" I answered trying to look as cheerful as possible because I notice she was using [Mana sight], one of the amazing things about [Hide and Seek] skill is that I can see the status of those who believe in me wholeheartedly, despite level difference or anything else.

This is why I know she has [Mana sight II], I am worried if she had scanned me before with it because if she did, she will catch that current info is false, thankfully she turned back to chatting with Mom about her being out with her friend for playing today,

I also noticed a weird thing about her and Aiena's and Snow's status, this title

Snow left saying bye to everyone, and one by one, everyone followed. Aiena tried to take me to Church school with her,

"You don't want to come, Ryu, your friends will be happy," Aiena asked me tucking on my shirt.

I sometimes wonder who is the older one,

"No!! today I'll help mom" I answered with a resolved voice,

I had decided to spend today's whole day with my mom,

After everyone left, Mom and I did the cleaning of the house and washed clothes. Mom washed them and I hung them on the rope in the garden.

"Can I eat a few of them while helping mom?" I asked as mom put the basket on the table, to which she nodded. We began collecting the nectar in a bowl and talking leisurely,

"Ryu, did you do something mean to Jue?" mom asked me,

"No mom, I think he is being rebellious" I answered with a frown, since the beginning of this year Jue the child of Hina sister, is treating me as if I did a scam with him, he won't call me a big brother like before, he will pout at me and even at church school ignore me when I go to play there,

"Maybe you should try getting along as big brother," mom said with a caring gaze

I nodded to this while I wanted to shout

'Heck no!! that brat threw dirt in my eyes last time' last time I tried getting along with him. he did this no way I am attempting again with this brat,

As I was thinking this, our main door was slammed open, and both my and mom's gaze went towards the door.

The one standing there was someone who I least expected

"What are you doing here, Jack!!?" mom asked Jack who suddenly burst into our house,

"I have come to talk about Snow, I'll have a seat," Jack spoke pridefully,

"Who do you think you are!?… you are not welcomed in our house," mom asked him with an angry voice, not letting him proceed to sit,

'Who the hell do you think you are!!?' I too wanted to shout, then that fool stared straight into my mom's eyes and spoke with a disgusting look

"Do you have no shame?"

"There is nothing about Snow, you need to be concerned with," Mom said to him gesturing for him to leave ignoring his question.

Looking at chance where both of their attention was away from me, I used [Silent stepping III] to move behind the table, I remember how he lashed out at me last time so precautions are necessary before this stupid man.

"I will ask once again do you have no shame," Jack said with a disgusted expression.

I and mom both don't know what this question meant, and seeing the gap in mom's attempts to send him back, he continued

"Till when you are thinking of using Snow, if not for you guys pulling her back, she can be a grand mage,"

'What the hell!?, what is with this sudden accusation?' I wanted to shout but hold back,

"What do you mean use!? Snow is our family," mom said confidently,

"cut the crap, you guys are shameless using her for your gains," Jack said while putting a hand on his head,

"Who gave you the right to come to our house and speak about my sister?" mom said with an angry voice and I can feel that mom is starting to get angry.

"I care about her as a regular guest member," Jack said and quickly added

"I know she is a humble and responsible one so she won't say anything, but I will not let you guys hold her back."

"Snow is happy with us and her family. You do not need to care," mom said, I used [Silent step] and [camouflage] together to roam around the room to draw a few glyphs here and there,

[Camouflage] is only useful when the target's attention is totally diverted to something else.

"You guys are holding her back to get money and protection from her," Jack roared angrily at mom. He didn't know that my mom is way above him in every way,

"Snow is our family, and we never hold her back. Your accusations are baseless. Leave!!" Mom said to him with an irritated expression,

"Then let her come with us on our journey, push her back as family does," Jack said with a calm expression as if he was saying the most sensible thing in the world. Meanwhile, I moved near the mom patting her leg,

I knew she was seconds away from using her flames instinctively,

"Snow is free she will take her own decision if she wants, she can go on the journey. We won't come in the way of her happiness" Mom with a wave of deep anger and mana pressure that one could easily feel it. but somehow Jack was not affected,

"What do you think you are doing!? you know Snow would never leave unless you push her back due to guilt" Jack shouted at mom,

'Any more bastard and you will be in for a ride' I wanted to shout as I saw my glyphs. I saw Aiena out of the door and she rushed somewhere without entering the home. Maybe she saw the situation,

"Who you are to tell us what to do, get the hell out!!" my mom said while pointing out, that she hadn't seen Aiena earlier, her mind occupied with whatever Jack is saying,

"Right, so it is fine for you to use your husband's disappearance to guilt-trip her into staying here," Jack said with a snort, mom didn't say anything back I knew she had reached a critical point where any more anger would let her loose,

Not just her, I was seconds away from letting it loose too, who the hell does he think he is shouting at my mom and accusing her,

"He was her brother too, and maybe it is your fault that your husband disappeared," Jack said. My mind went blank

'How could he? he didn't know anything about us!!'

'What the f@ck!!'

"Stop Holdi…" before Jack could say anything, I moved. I can't stop myself; my mom was shocked and so was Jack. The dagger was shining in my hand, Jack, thought It was just a rush of an angered kid but he was already trapped,

Near his feet, water came out of Glyphs and frozen at the same time. I was using all of my mana at the same time for this. In moments he slipped and fall on his back and I jumped on him.

In this world level and stuff are not a guarantee of victory,

he loses the moment I got those glyphs there; I believe my magic being out is safer rather than my mom being Lina of crimson flames,

'I want to stab him,' I thought, wanting to stab him sitting on his chest trying to hold back

'How dare this fool dare talk about my father?'

"Why did you blame my mom?" I asked him in a low and cold voice. He tried struggling beneath me his face pale, but he couldn't because he was frozen in place and due to being surprised, he can't think straight,

"Who do you think you are?, you loser," I said, while moving the dagger near her neck, I was holding back from stabbing him I knew this was an effect of [Revenger] title he is being seen as someone I want revenge on now by me,

"Move a bit and…" before I could say slash your neck, a voice came from the door,

"Ryu!! How!?" Snow was there. She was looking at me, there was my mana all over the floor I can't hide it anymore and then I feel mom was hugging me from behind,

"Leave it, Ryu, he is trash" she was shocked by what I did but mom is still mom, I stood up leaving the loser on the ground. I knew today will become a lot more hectic and harder for me now.
