'Is it making fun of me….. nowhere near!!' Ryu thought, but he knew that he only killed Naga due to astronomical chances and luck,

Ryu focused on rings and they changed into swords in his arms.

They were fairly cool looking with Violet lines over the sharp blades, and a curved designed hilt making it look menacing,

"Wonder how much their size increase and decrease" Ryu wondered as he began to channel his mana in the swords for activating the [Size readjustment limited] while seeking the skill itself for info,

Ryu changed the size of swords multiple times, getting a feel of it, he thought

'Wonderful they can be used as daggers!!'

As he changed the swords to the size of his dagger, he noticed that the dagger won't grow in size if something solid is touching its tip, even though it was a bit of a letdown, Ryu still was amazed at the weapon he got,

'Now the Return III' Ryu focused on the skill,

"I just got an idea… haha," Ryu said in a low voice as he throws daggers toward Jue who was sleeping on the other bed calling them back before they reach him,

'You brat I could've killed you 3 times just now,' Ryu thought grinning.

He still hasn't recovered from Jue's 180 degrees change,

"I am sorry Big brother… I will be a good brother" Jue mumbled in sleep and Ryu felt ashamed at what he was doing and thought,

'He is just like this because of earlier… he will go back to normal,' reasoned Ryu, trying to justify the power play he just did in his mind.

He laid back on his bed, changing his swords back to rings.

'Wait, a second did Jue not tell others about the manifest!!?' Ryu wondered as sat up,

'No one asked anything about it, and it seemed no one knew either,' he continued thinking, but then he realized a simple thing,

'I won't know unless I ask them, I will ask Grandpa chief tomorrow' Ryu thought as he yawned,

Ryu was about to fall asleep when he remembered the dream he saw when he fall unconscious after killing Naga.

'Mictian, it was your memories' he wondered as he started recounting the strangely real dream,

Surrounded by armies of Humans, elves, dwarf

"It is over, Demon lord!! Give up!" A person with a golden lance spoke,

"Never thought Demon lord is this stupid coming in between us elite soldiers alone!!" a bearded dwarf said laughing loudly,

"Seems like war is already over!" another human general laughed.

But the man whose eyes Ryu was seeing this from was quiet in the dream. He didn't utter a word as he let them speak this and he finally spoke,

"I heard humans were going to war… why did you kidnap Demon kids?" in a low cold voice,

"Who wouldn't!!? those runts are good for Maki augmentation" The bearded man from before laughed, each of them was sure of their victory, there seemed no reason for their loss,

Ryu could feel it in himself, the pity and disgust Demon lord must've filled with at that moment.

"Enough with chatter. We will end you! I claim east of Demon's continent for Voskov empire," the man with Golden lance roared as he rushed towards Ryu but he couldn't reach him,

Crimson black energy, different from mana, surrounded him as far as he could see.

It was, everywhere as if creating a world of its, own and with a movement of, his hand the man falls to the ground,

Dead instantly, others who were on the battlefield were shocked at the death of their comrade and rushed toward the Demon Lord to kill him.

But the dream wasn't focused on coming people because they keep dying in a snap,

"One hundred, two hundred…." and the counting kept going.

The Demon lord kept killing each and every being that came towards him,

The bearded dwarf was on all fours in front of him begging.

"Please stop we already lose, there is no hope for us!! Let us live,"

"Why? You guys are good for maki augmentation" Demon lord answered while dread black energy surrounded the dwarf, turning crimson wherever it touched him,

"I will stop kidnappings, I will return I vow on my name" dwarf begged, and looking towards him with cold eyes Demon lord asked

"Answer me, is this all the army? Is this your best attempt to kill the Demon Lord who outlived many heroes?" without wasting single second thinking as if there is a chance of forgiveness,

"Yes, this is all lord, I promise we won't ever consider attacking… we will even serve you" Demon lord bend his back moving his face near the dwarf,

"If I kill you all, I will have another 200 years of rest right" and smiled cruelly, the dwarf couldn't take it. He tried pulling up his hammer, but he was late and weak,

Demon lord punched his head, smashing it into bits, that there was a rampage that was hard to imagine for anyone from the earth there was just one word Demonic,

No life escape, counting kept increasing

"One thousand, two thousand…. ten thousand," and then stopped,

"Go back… it is boring," Demon lord said to the leftover army, although his words were cruel.

Ryu, being the one sharing feelings in dreams, knew that this was said in pity not boredom.

The next moment the dream changed, now Demon Lord was standing in front of a woman who wasn't clear in the dream.

"You did well… even if all world considers you cruel and cold monster, we know what you are Mictian"

She embraced him,

"Wake up now, you can't keep me waiting," she said in his ears and that was how Ryu woke up from his dream and unconsciousness earlier,

As Ryu was done recounting the dream, his heart was still shaking.

"I am not even 4% of that… can I be that strong!!?" he wondered, but then his revenge and goals pass through his mind,

'Will give the holy knight worse death ever!!'

'Even if the world is breaking in two, I will protect my family'

'I will get stronger way beyond even Mictian was!!' he strengthens his resolve as he falls asleep,

That night someone else was also having various thoughts and resolves,

Snow was laying in her bed beside Lana.

"Ryu is trying hard," she spoke in a little voice, as she remembers how Ryu was concerned about his strength and growth since

"What about me?" she was trying to stretch her time to leave her family to become Grand mage since last year, but each time the fear of losing the warmth of her family stopped her from setting out,

"I will do it…." she thought once but her heart ached thinking how long would it take to get back here after becoming strong when she will be able to feel this warmth again,

"Maybe by the end of the year" she decided she will talk with Felicia about it tomorrow.

She remembers how concerned Felicia was when she came to know about Ryu's condition before,

Felicia came running to their house to check on Ryu but was disheartened to see him unconscious, the always easy-to-tease child did something that was not only commendable but was a miracle in itself,

She didn't know what exactly happened, but she knew that Ryu killed the Naga a huge snake monster while protecting Jue, she wanted to stay till Ryu woke up too but had to leave because Snow and she had taken an escorting request for a merchant to next town from Zerah forest,

Snow felt warmth as she remembers when always cheerful Felicia said to her responsibly,

"Snow I will do it myself, Ryu is more important"

Felicia left for doing the quest alone for their party's reputation's sake,

Snow felt at rest with Felicia as her party member she wonders for a while if Snowflake's party would ever grow in size or not, but she knows one thing

'Tomorrow I will bring it up, she will be happy,' Snow thought as she falls asleep

And that was how a night filled with resolve came to an end.
