Recap

Stendhal grabbed a knife and threw it at Azure, the knife grazed his face before embedding itself into the wall.

Azure who couldn’t move, and felt his flames appear on his face couldn’t help but enlarge his eyes.

Stendhal looked at Azure with a gaze that said ‘Weak.’

He then pointed towards the envelope that had landed in front of Azure’s feet and said "The location at 2 am."

Stendhal then scaled the wall in a short amount of time and disappeared. After 7 minutes Azure had regained control of his body.

Azure then flew to the sky trying to find Stendhal but he didn’t manage to find a trace. As he flew towards his current base, he looked at the envelope that was inside his jacket.

*Azure Pov*

As I fly in the air looking for the place, I finally spot the location Stendhal wrote on the envelope, an abandoned warehouse, covered in the moonlight.

As I fly down, I think, ‘Why did he have me go so damn far? I went from Musutafu to the Naruhata district. Not to mention the lack of vehicles. And there are various abandoned buildings, the place is desolate of people. ’

As I finish grumbling, I walk towards the entrance of the warehouse. As I enter, the knives fly at me from multiple points.

*3rd Pov*

Azure opens the door only to be ambushed by multiple projectiles flying towards him. One from the front and the others from the left and right.

Azure hurriedly dodges the knives by rolling forward. He had crouched on one knee and just when he dodged, a katana was trying to stab through his head from the ceiling of the building.

Azure jumps back and the Katana stabs into the ground, but the pursuer doesn’t mind that at all and instead leaps forwards while grabbing the Katana and presses the Katana against Azure's neck.

Azure, however, doesn’t dodge and instead holds his flame-covered palm out and points it in his assailant's face. He blasts a projectile of flames towards the assailant.

But after a few seconds, instead of seeing a mangled and charred corpse, a couple of feet away, Azure saw Stendhal putting his Katana inside its sheath.

Stendhal then looks towards Azure and, in a monotone voice, says, "Brash, Brazen, Reckless, Ruthless."

He lets that sink in for a few seconds before continuing. "Azure, in the two times I’ve met you, I’ve gotten a rough estimation of your personality."

Stendhal doesn’t let Azure refute his statement and instead asks Azure a question.

"What is your goal when you're fighting."

Azure ponders over the question for a few seconds before responding.

"To kill the villain scum," Azure said with a scowl.

Stendhal merely shakes his head at Azure. ‘What a dark and morbid person. He looks to be around 12. What could have happened for him to be like this.’

"Wrong."

Azure’s scowl broke, and instead, a puzzled expression appeared on his face.

"You only have half the truth. The purpose of fighting is to kill the villains, but how do you normally do this."

"I usually use my quirk to scout in the air at night and kill any villains I see. I stalk them and when they show a hint of villainous behavior, I appear in front of them. Most try to fight me.

If I haven’t found any suspicious behavior, I’ll beat them up and search them, their belongings, and their homes. I usually find incriminating behavior, so I’ll kill them afterward.

For the heroes, I tail them for longer and observe the people they interact with, stalk them and find the evidence. Afterward, I gather it up into a folder, consisting of documents and flash drives. I kill them and leave the file at the scene of the crime. I lured the police to the place so they could get the flash drive's evidence. "

Stendhal has to hold back a sigh. He remembers how intelligent and perceptive Azure was in his previous battles, but when it comes to other things, he appears like a meat-head. Stendhal attributes it to his youth and tells him of his faults.

"That's the most ineffective method I’ve seen ever. Tell me what to do if the villains don’t appear at the time you hunt? What if they learn of your hunting time and avoid it?

What if they act exactly like normal people? What if they have a spy inside the police station, and they piece together your identity? "

Stendhal says, leaning on a wall. He looks at Azure’s face, which is changing in expression. He takes this time to admire the surrounding warehouse.

The tall roof, and huge windows that allow the moonlight to illuminate the surroundings, the rusty floor that gives a squeak whenever it is stepped, the pieces of concrete from what is left of the upper layer.

Most wouldn’t come through the place due to the fact that it was far out of their way and that it used to be a former prison.

He snaps out of his evaluation of this place when he sees that even though Azure still has an expressionless face, his sapphire blue eyes hold regret in them, regret that he could have caught many more villains, and regret at the fact that he only just realized.

Azure even thought that if he wasn’t told just now, he would have continued his life for a couple more years before he realized how inefficient he’s been.

Seeing the recognition of his mistakes in Azure’s eyes, Stendhal is finished berating Aure and instead moves on to the second task on his agenda for today.

"Now that you’ve realized the error of your ways, let's move on." When I arrived in the alleyway, you were crouching over a body, correct? " Stendhal says" while walking towards one of the other prison cells on the opposite side of the warehouse from where Azure was.

"Yes, the guy belonged to an organization that's been selling some drug. The drug causes people to go insane, but their quirk gets more powerful after taking the drug. The members are always so tight-lipped.

I caught around four members, but each and every one was not willing to speak. I even gave them options for a quirk or slow death, but none relented, even when they finally died. "

Stendhal doesn’t say anything and instead pulls on the closed rusted gate and opens it, allowing the moonlight to properly shine on the individual bound to a char deep inside the cell.

Stendhal drags the bound individual into the center of the warehouse so that the moonlight can properly shine, allowing for both vigilantes to have a proper look.

With black hair, and clothes with various holes, patches, and dried blood stains, the person looked like your typical criminal. If not for the ropes binding their legs and hands, and the blindfold on Azure, they would have assumed a combat-ready position.

For the time being, Stendhal made the bound criminal face towards the entrance and Azure and said, "Well since you couldn’t get information from the previous villain and you’ve learned from your previous mistake, for the time being, you're going to learn how to get a criminal to talk." Your flames may help, but they won't always work. "

Even though Stendhal sounded no different from his usual emotionless self from behind his mask, Azure was sure he could hear a tinge of playfulness.

I Just want to say thanks for the support and for reading this book. I've been on a long journey these past 8 months with writing. When I compare the very first chapter, I wrote the quality, and other things are much better now. This is not only due to my own improvement but also due to you the readers.

The reason I write the book is for fun and to get used to writing and I think I can say that although that's true there are some days when I'm tired or just really don't want to write and when that happens, I think back to the comments and support I receive from you readers and find the motivation to write some more.

I want to thank Cosmic31, Namike, Edgelord666, Sadre, QuakeMidaro, for commenting on the book. I also want to thank the 89 people who have favorited this book. All of you for getting this book to have 3.5k views. Thank you all for your support and I hope you will continue to do so.
