This is a novel about a reborn girl in the cultivation world.

The female lead Bo Bik was trash in her first lifetime, bullied even by the servants. But even so, she endured, believing that everything will be alright once she married her beloved, the second prince of the mist empire.

But how could he, a prince, want a good-for-nothing, malnourished girl like her as his main wife?

Still, he treated her tenderly making her fall hard in love with him.

However, after achieving his goal which was the jade pendant around her neck that she never took off, which in reality was a space with a spirit spring, precious herbs, cultivation techniques and alchemy manuals, he cast her aside, humiliating her and making her more of a laughing stock than she was.

She died with vengeance and unwillingness, vowing to take revenge on him and never be the same foolish pushover girl if given a second chance.

As if heaven listened to her unwillingness, she found herself reborn in her fifteen-year-old body before everything happened. She opened the space in the jade pendant, got rid of the poison in her body, started cultivating and refining elixirs.

She made her way to the top of the cultivation world and ascended with her Dao companion, Chang Hong, known as the sharp blade Master Feng to the immortal realm.

The former owner of this body has the same name as her, Chang Ling; she was the sole disciple of Elder Chang Hong, that was until the female lead appeared.

Chang Ling harbored romantic feelings for her master from a young age and worked hard more than anyone else to be worthy of being his Dao Companion.

Sadly, that all crumbled when the female lead appeared, she took first place in the enrollment of the Cloud Sect and demanded to be a true disciple of Chang Hong, even though she knew he already announced he would only have one disciple in this life, which was Chang Ling.

Feeling furious for her presumptuous act and disregard for her, she attacked her, but Bo Bik was rescued by Chang Hong who took her in as a true disciple after her recovery.

On the contrary, he reprimanded her for her rash and ungraceful act that made him lose face for not knowing how to teach his disciple some manners.

However, he was the only one who thought so. Even though some thought she went a little overboard, it was fairly normal, owing to his declaration of having only one disciple in this life.

From that point on, her life went down hell and Bo Bik became her inner demon because no matter what she did she couldn't defeat nor harm her. Instead, she made the pair even closer.

Being at her wit's end, she tried to kill her in a secret realm but was crippled instead by the very person she loved and expelled from the sect.

From then one of the stumbling blocks and the vicious cannon fodder was killed and never appeared again in the novel.

Although Chang Ling was one that won't judge from what she just read owing to her experience, she couldn't help but loathe him a little tiny bit in her heart. After all, saying you will only have one disciple in this life, then taking a second one, wasn't he just a hypocrite? Didn't he know what his actions would result in?

His first disciple will become a laughing stock for the entire Sect, even the entire Heavenly Light Continent since he was a well-known swordsman.

Then crippling his own disciple by his own hands for his lover, wasn't he crueler than her?

Yes, Chang Ling was definitely at fault but didn't he even consider the familial feelings they shared all those years. Especially since he was the one who raised her, she was like a daughter to him.

Chang Ling is sure that he was aware of her affection for him for a long time, then why give her hope from the beginning if you weren't going to take responsibility.

That's why she said she hated excessive indifferent and cold men, they don't even sparkle a fire of challenge in her to conquer them.

Oh well, whatever, there are plenty of men out there to feast on later, she just needs to grow up now. Also, this is a new world and the Heavenly Light Continent is vast and mysterious, she will explore every nook and cranny before leaving it.

---- ----

A beautiful girl of five years old was sitting at the edge of the bed letting her small legs dangle from it, watching as a tall man was wearing his white silky outer robe while his hair was let loose freely, brushed by the gentle wind coming from the open window.

When he was done, the five-year-old girl retrieved a hairpin from the bedside and went with her small legs in front of the mirror waiting for the man to sit so she can fix his hair, this girl was Chang Ling.

She has willow eyebrows with a bright red dot-like fire between her eyebrows, phoenix eyes with a touch of red in her black pupils, a small pointy nose, small kissable plump glossy red lips, jet black hair with golden red highlights. Her skin was as white as snow, giving the impression that you will squeeze milk if you put a little force on it.

Without a doubt, she will be great sinful beauty in the future.

She opened her small mouth and spoke in a sticky soft voice: "Master, I'll tie your hair for you"

Chang Hong nodded his head and sat down in front of the mirror; she climbed a chair, so she can be tall enough to tie his hair.

She has been doing so since she was three, from making a mess out of his hair to becoming the professional she is now. She put his hair in a half bun and secures it with the hairpin and brushed the other half while thinking 'his hair sure is soft and silky'.

After finishing, she kissed him on the cheek and said: "Master, I'll get going."

He asked in an indifferent voice: "Where?"

'tsk, here we go again with this sickening tone' although she did not like indifferent men and their way, she was a little happy because she was going to see her favorite treacherous masters, thus she said with a happy voice while adjusting her clothes: "I'm going to see Master Heng Hui and Master Kuo Shan."

Feeling sour because his only disciple is close to others and not to himself when clearly he was the one with her all the time, he couldn't help but helplessly nod his head since he didn't know what to say or how to complain.

Not paying attention to his sour mood she went out joyfully. A disciple was waiting outside the peak to take her to the other two Masters since she doesn't have Qi yet to ride a flying artifact by herself.

Arriving at the formation hall, she went through a path taking several twists and turns before arriving at the back mountain where Master Heng Hui liked to sit.

She pounced on him when she saw him: "Was I late Master Heng Hui?"

Sitting up while hugging her he went to his room while replying: "Not at all, Little Ling is on time" while tapping her head he asked: "Shall we begin our lesson?"

With sparkling eyes, she replied: "Yes, Master Heng Hui"

Chang Ling started learning with the masters of the sect a while ago; from cultivation manuals to alchemy, refining and formations.

The people in this world start learning about this continent and its professions from an early age, especially if they were from cultivation families and royalty.

They couldn't bring shame upon their family by being unskilled or unlearned.

Hence, they have to at least learn proper etiquette, speech, and the four arts, then move to other skills to know where they are talented and walk that route for a brighter future.
