A few minutes had passed since Fallen had started her onslaught. She killed everything that came her way. Be it greenskins or other monsters who were attracted by the strong stench of blood.

I went inside the cave, leaving Fallen to continue her 'business'. I comfortably sat in one dark and cold corner of the cave while stretching my legs and giving a slight yawn. After some minutes I went for a small nap.

It was still noon outside when Fallen finally decided to come inside while covered in blood. Although the smell of blood doesn't bother me too much, I still prefer to clean the blood, maybe it is because I was a former human ?? Whatever it is, Beats me.

I gave a small growl and signaled Fallen to follow me. Fallen obediently obeyed as she began following me out of the cave. I led her to the big river towards the north of my cave. 

When we reached there, Fallen knew what she had to do. She happily went into the water and began to swim. All the blood slowly came off from the splashes caused by her swimming. However, the dried blood did not come off of her and was stuck to her black fur. She looked at me with puppy eyes as if wanting me to help her get off the dried blood.

Heaving a sigh, I went into the water and began scratching Fallen with the back of my hand which had rough scales for the blood to come off. Fallen as if enjoying the rub, sprawled on her back and closed her eyes in satisfaction.

'How the hell did I come from a mighty dragon predator to a pup back scratcher.' I sighed internally. Although I felt like I shouldn't be doing this and how my draconic pride was threatened, I couldn't help but grin a little when I saw Fallen laying down and completely exposing herself and letting her guard down. If I wanted to kill her here I could easily do that, but she trusts me enough to let her guard down around me.

Seeing this trust of hers, I couldn't help but want to protect her more.

Although this trust seemed to stem from the time when I met her and chose to not kill her and save her instead. Since that time she has followed me everywhere and always obeyed any orders, I give her, no matter how dangerous they may be.

But one thing remained unanswered. When I first saw Fallen, I felt as if I had known her for a long time. Although I have no recollection of ever meeting Fallen, I'm sure this meant something. Well, no use in pondering here. Let's just hope that I get my answer in the future.

When all her blood came off her fur, she went towards a shallow area of the river where some crab-like creatures were basking in the sun. Do crabs bask in the sun?? Hah, this world truly defies my earthly common knowledge. 

Fallen began playing and toying with the crabs. I had nothing to do so I went and sat down on the land near the river. 

'Wait, since I have nothing to do, should I try the breath that I used accidentally with that ape?? But my attack at that time blasted everything to smithereens. If I somehow lose control then Fallen or even I could get hurt. 

I thought a bit about whether or not I should test it a bit. 'F*ck it, let's just go for it and worry about the consequences later. As long as I am careful, nothing bad should happen...right??'

I flew towards a small clearing a few 10s of meters away from Fallen and began experimenting with what I called 'mana'.

I was not worried about her safety because there are only a few creatures that could threaten her and if something like that does come out, she could just give me a telepathic message.

I slowly landed in the clearing and stretched my legs and neck as if preparing for an intense workout that was coming.

First of all, I do not know how to use mana and how to make it to perform your attacks. So I decided to mimic the feeling when I first used my breath attack. I felt that the key to be using mana was to feel that flowing thingy that I felt when I first used my breath attack.

I began concentrating on my heart and tried to sense something that was 'flowing'. Sure enough, after a few seconds, I sensed something moving inside my heart that kept on flowing through my body through my veins. It was some sort of blackish cyan energy.

If I concentrated enough I could feel that the heart was the main power plant for this energy and was constantly absorbing 'mana' from the surroundings. After a few minutes of me trying to concentrate, I could even tell that there were 2 types of energies in my heart. About 1/4 th of the energy inside my heart was dark black which was crackling inside the heart and seemed very restless while the other 3/4 th of the energy was pure cyan as if it was kind of a calm and resolute being.

When I tried to call the 'black mana' from the heart to my neck, the 'black mana' as if alive, understood what I was trying to convey as it quickly brushed my scales as if waiting for my order. I opened my maws towards a tree as I tried to convey the 'black' mana to shoot outside. The Black mana gathered in my throat as it rushed out of my mouth vigorously.

A dark black beam that had black crackling lightning around it fired from my mouth towards the tree that I was aiming at. 

The ground shook as the beam hit the trees. An explosion occurred as a blinding light followed right after. When the light faded, I could see the result of my attack. A big black crater could be seen where the tree was standing. The crater was about 50 meters wide and the ground was scorched. Black lightning still danced around the scorched ground of the crater as it looked like the consequences of a big battle. 

This...This is too overpowered. And this was the result when I used only a little of the black energy in my heart. What if I used all of it?? And I could feel that my cyan and black energy are constantly growing. Holy hell!! Is this the power of the dragons that was I side me??! Looks like I still have a lot of things to explore. Now the question is...Should I be trying to use the cyan energy which is more vast than my black energy??
