The boy with a scarf walked inside the room quietly. Eden shifted his gaze to him, terrified, because the unknown boy's footsteps that were as quiet as a ghost's. 'He's sending me weird vibes, be cautious, little Edie.' Eden agreed that this boy was strange to the point of sending shivers down his spine.

Rosemary stopped hugging him and wiped her tears. The boy smiled at him while looking at Rosemary with eyes filled with wonder and curiosity. 'Very very interesting.' Azrail commented, circling the boy.

"You two have fun chatting." Said Rosemary, leaving the room and closing the door with a loud CLANK.

Chocolate brown hair and auburn eyes. That was what blinded Eden. Just a ton of brown and red. Man, what was with people these days and the color red?

   Ah...red.

A green scarf was hugging this feminine boy's neck and his haircut was extremely questionable. He has rather long hair (not too long) for a boy his age which further cements him looking like a girl rather than a boy. He had a female's short hair with bangs that covered his—probably—large forehead.

Surprisingly, his lips were that of a heart shape which is usually what females have so right now, Eden was as confused as a human can be. The strange-looking boy was wearing a hospital gown just like him. Perhaps, he's a patient here as well?

Rosemary quickly left the room after a few more minutes leaving Eden alone with this boy. "Um...can I help you?" Eden decided to ask out breaking the silence while nervously studying the walls' textures. The boy stayed silent for a moment before shaking his head.

"Can you talk?" He questioned feeling hesitant at first as he touched the back of his neck.

"I can...why do you ask?" The boy countered him with a small smile adorning his rather girly-looking face. His hawk-like auburn eyes bore itself deep inside of Eden's skull. The boy's aura was definitely strange.

"Just curious," Eden admitted while sighing.

And just like that, their conversation ended, leaving a very awkward atmosphere surrounding them. The boy then pulled a chair next to Eden's hospital bed and sat down. The sound that the chair created across the floor stimulates an ear-piercing volume that made Eden wince in pain.

The unknown boy stared quietly with eyes that resembled that of a hawk's. It seemed that this boy is intrigued by Eden in a way. Regardless of his intentions, Eden doesn't trust him very well.

Strangely enough, Azrail stayed silent throughout this whole ordeal as if he was waiting for Eden to make a mistake so he could laugh at it afterward. Eden fake-coughed and quickly thought of one of the most basic conversation starters ever between strangers.

"My name is Eden...what's yours?" He extended his hand forward, hoping that this boy would shake it but to his dismay, he was left hanging. Azrail cackled as he glided to Eden and floated next to him. He retracts his hand as a pink hue decorated his pale cheeks.

"I'm Lucifer...w-will you be my friend? It's been a long time since I made a friend!" Lucifer exclaimed excitedly. His eyes were shining with some stars replacing his normal pupils. His face curled up from ear to ear, showing Eden his toothy grin.

Eden could've sworn that a lot of glitters were floating in the background.

Eden hunched his shoulders upwards and said, "Sure." The beginning of a great friendship between Eden and Lucifer developed precisely like that. They started talking about their likes and dislikes for hours. It was a good exchange. Eden hasn't made a friend in a long time...maybe eight years? This might be a good sign.

"Lucy? Are you in here?" Asked a nurse who opened the door to the room carrying a tray full of medicine.

"Mhmm!" Said Lucifer happily as he waved at the nurse. "Here's your medicine for today." Said the nurse as he handed it to Lucifer who took it one by one.

Eden stared at the medication. There were too many. "How long has he been here?" He asked absent-mindedly. This earned a glance from Lucifer who was about to take some more meds. A small smile crawled up to his face.

"This is normal for me so don't feel bad!" Lucifer answered while discarding the medicine package.

Azrail chuckled behind Eden while black goo can be seen falling onto the cold hospital floor.

'My little Edie, don't you think he's a little bit off?

Eden shook his head in response.

A cold hand wrapped around Eden's neck—not literally, just a feeling—which led to him glaring at Azrail who only laughed. 'Get the hint already, dumb fuck.' He said and sat down in midair. Eden who was still confused only raised an eyebrow as to not arouse suspicion from Lucifer.

After all, this secret of theirs could be detrimental in the future. There weren't many people in this world—if not any—who had a living (?) person inside of their head! This could end in either Eden being drafted to the asylum or an underground laboratory.

'Aigoo...my brother is so dumb.' Azrail sighed and kicked Eden's soul out of his body. The body staggered a bit before regaining control. "Shit. This body—!" He cursed grabbing the foot of the bed, trying to rebalance himself. "Seems like you still haven't recovered mentally enough for me to maneuver this husk."

'Let me back in my body!' A mental struggle between the brothers began but without a shadow of a doubt, Azrail won. The latter couldn't help but laugh inside of his mind. Eden's face when he realized how weak he was absolutely made the navy haired teen's day better.

   The despair was worth it!

"Try harder next time, my little Edie." He hissed and fixed his posture. A smirk adorned his face as he stared at Lucifer. Said boy was staring without a word with worry flashing in his brown eyes.

"A-Are you okay, Eden?" He hurriedly ran over after discarding the package. Lucifer grabbed ahold of Eden's shoulder. His grip was firm despite his petite figure.

"Enough about me. What's with that scar?" Lucifer quickly covered it with his scarf and looked at the floor. A clear panicked expression ran across his face.

He stared at Lucifer's face for a moment. The nurse already left after he finished taking his medicine. "Also, is your name really Lucifer?" He continued asking while tapping his foot and crossing his arms.

Lucifer was under so much pressure that he couldn't even form proper phrases in his head. The brunette only stared emptily as his posture stiffened while his fists were clenched until his knuckles turned white. The grin that was still plastered began faltering.

'Now that I think about it, it's weird.' Eden agreed, waiting for Lucifer to answer. There was no way someone would be called Lucifer like a cartoon villain!...right?

He widened his auburn eyes and stared into Eden's—in this case, Azrail's—pink-purple ones.

For a moment, Eden—who's now in soul-form—swore he could see the pain in Lucifer's eyes but it vanished just as fast as it had appeared so he wasn't sure.

"Yep!" He finally answered in a 'happy-go-lucky' manner.

Azrail's lips twisted upwards and left Eden's body, making him stagger a bit again. Lucifer moved in and hugged him, making Eden's body stiff.  He could feel the scars of Lucifer through his hospital clothes. It was all over his back.

These scars weren't caused by any belt or hand...what could be the source?

'Things are getting more exciting!' Azrail exclaimed and danced in the air, twirling around like a ballerina in a music box. Eden stumbled once again making Lucifer's smile completely shatter as the frail teen frantically rushed to his side to assess his health by holding onto his hand.

   "Are you okay?"

"I-I'm fine...yeah..." In his mind, he was silently cursing at his supposed asshole of a brother.

Lucifer let go of his rather tight grip on him and smiled warmly. Being the curious teen that he was, Eden peered into Lucifer's eyes and stared into it, expecting to find something that verified his suspicions.

He found it—the hidden emotion. After mere seconds, it vanished as quickly as it appeared. Lucifer smirked as he closed his eyes as if he was saying "I won't let you see it this easily".

"How long have you been here?" This time, Azrail—surprisingly—asked.

'AT LEAST TELL ME YOU'RE GOING TO INTERVENE!' Eden yelled while glaring daggers into Azrail's skull. The latter only shrugged his shoulders while staring at Lucifer, waiting for his response.

Meanwhile, Lucifer counted on his fingers. "Five years." He answered while looking down, studying the floor's textures as if it was the most interesting thing ever in the world. A small smile was still plastered on the boy's face.

Eden was now lost in his thoughts.

'He's probably fifteen...he's been here since he was only ten...what kind of parents...' As a searing sensation spread throughout his body, he bit the inside of his cheek in frustration. Eden truly felt like punching something, but he couldn't.

Suddenly, the azure haired teen let out a startled cry as Azrail switched bodies with him again. Lucifer gave him a perplexing glance. "Are you oka—"

Eden had lost track of Lucifer, and all he could hear was Azrail's voice, which shook him to his core. The beds, IVs, and other items in the room looked to disintegrate into dust, and the room seemed to vanish into the abyss that was the darkness.

The soles of his feet had chains tying him down in place as his breathing quickened.

'Who are you to talk, when you killed your own parents?' Azrail said dryly, a chuckle emerging from his hollow mouth later. Eden remained silent. Azrail was absolutely correct. Who was he to talk, when he killed his own parents? He bit the bottom of his lips in frustration.

"H-Hello? Are you there?" He called out waving his palm above Eden's field of vision. The dark abyss melted and was now replaced with the whiteness of the hospital room.

Ah. So he was back to reality.

"Yes." As Azrail's words reverberated in his ears, he responded quickly. He needed to keep this act going. No one should ever find out about Azrail's existence. No one.

"A-Also, my parents are nice! They're just really busy so they don't have time to watch over me." He said, playing with the ends of his scarf.

'Why are you lying?' The azure haired adolescent couldn't help but ask mentally. The lies emitting from this person in front of him was...draining. Tiresome. But either way, he couldn't do much.

If 'Lucifer' chose to lie to himself, so be it. It wasn't Eden's place to intervene nor was it his problem.

"Come to think of it...why are you here? I'm here because I'm sick. Why are you even here?" Lucifer asked while tilting his head a bit. Those eyes...it was innocent, oh how Eden longed for those eyes. The eyes of an innocent child that didn't know how the world was so corrupted.

'I wonder if I can carve those eyeballs out and have them for mysel—' He paused his thoughts. 'No. Bad Eden. You need to change. No. No thoughts. You're now an innocent boy accused of murder. Act the part.'

Lucifer, noticing his discomfort moved closer to him and began rubbing circles on his back while murmuring soothing words to the younger male.

'I'll help you just this once, brother.' Azrail whispered as his control over the empty husk that was Eden's body vanished.

"I...I don't know...they just b-brought me here..." Azrail's words broke up and all he could say were stuttering sounds. Hot tears streamed down his face, and he squeezed his eyelids shut in the hope his tears would stop. His choppy breathing and watery eyes remained for quite some time, and he sat there, unmoving.

'You know, if you actually cried, it wouldn't have much of an effect since you can do it on command.' Suffice to say, Eden was amazed. This was truly an excellent performance! 'Ahem, anyways, carry on and ignore me.'

Azrail only scoffed before more tears slipped down. This made the crying more realistic...it was as if he was trying to force his body to stop crying. "Huh? I'm not sad...why am I..." He hiccuped in the middle of his sentence while staring down at his hands.

The slight frown on Lucifer's face made the corners of Azrail's mouth twitch upwards but this only amplified the effect even more. He now looked like he was trying to prove a losing point in the brunette's eyes.

"It's okay..." Said Lucifer while hugging Eden (Azrail) who was a few centimeters shorter than him. Sobs filled the quiet hospital room as Lucifer whispered honey-laced words, trying to comfort his friend.

"Tell me, Lucifer..." Azrail began lowering his gaze to the floor.

"Why did they have to die?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow at him while mouthing the words 'What do you mean?' to him. "Why did my...parents have to die? They did nothing wrong...so why?" Asked Azrail as a lone tear escapes from his right eye. His voice got a little hoarse.

"Why...? If God existed, why can't he just make us equal? Why...?" he tried to speak but of course, he couldn't as he choked on his tears. Lucifer could only listen in silence as he wiped his tears away with his bare hands.

"That just meant that God doesn't exist." Sniveled Azrail miserably. More sobs escaped his lips. Lucifer silently listened to his breakdown. Azrail had a lump in his throat, trying to stop a sob from emerging but alas, he failed.

'Woah man, this is getting a little too realistic here.

"People believe in God because they want someone to be perfect...someone who is pure...not tainted. We believe in something that we can never be...which is being perfect." He said, rambling about his perspective on the world.

Lucifer sat there silently while hugging his scarf closely to his chest, feeling warmer the more he hugs it. 'Alice...' he thought as he hugged Eden (Azrail), further staining his shoulder with his tears.

Eden observed Lucifer while taking note that his hands were quivering while hugging his body. His lips were trembling and his eyes looked hazy like a secret was unraveling before Eden. It felt as if he wasn't supposed to see what he did and so he left his thoughts to himself.

Eden knew for sure that for the next few weeks...maybe even years, the gnawing grief and guilt he'll feel will be hellish. More tears escaped his (Azrail) eyes.

'You could be a H*llywood actor, dude. That was some amazing shit right there.' The azure haired teenager clapped while floating around the room. A bitter smile was on Eden's face. Everything Azrail said...he was sure he would've said it too.

Lucifer, on the other hand, was in deep thought as the flowers that seemingly appeared out of nowhere, enveloped his cold body, warming it up in the process. The corners of his mouth twitched upwards as he fully accepted the fact that his thoughts have run wild.

   *・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

"Lucy, Lucy! Come down and play!" A young girl with ashy-black hair and emerald eyes called out to a familiar petite boy. Lucifer, who was seven years old at the time, smiled as he opened the window letting in the warm air of early spring.

The boy loved flowers but of course, life had to intervene and he was born prematurely, resulting in his weak immune system. The boy was snapped out of his trance when Alice, his best friend, called out for a second time. He gave her an apologetic smile as she sighed and entered the brunette's home.

His nanny, Wendy, walked by and glanced at the set of footprints that were plastered all over the dirt outside of his window. The older woman could only smile while shaking her head. Alice was a common guest to the point where she became apart of their family. It was perfect, really.

After a while, a set of small but quick footsteps can be heard. "I brought coloring pages for you, Lucy!" Alice exclaimed cheerfully, showing off her canines.

"Thanks, Alice...but you didn't have to..." The color red dusted his cheeks as the frail boy responded.

   "Oh no! Are you sick?"

"No...I'm just happy you're here with me." Said Lucifer as the red hue continued to darken in color.

Alice only grinned at him in return before their coloring session began.

After a few hours, Alice—unfortunately—had to leave. "Bye, Bye! See you tomorrow Lucy! I'll bring chocolate muffins next time." And that was the last thing Lucifer heard from her.

He waited and waited. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into years. He was still waiting to this day but...

   She never came back.

He sat in his bedroom alone. He hugged the coloring book close to his chest. For the first time in a while, he cried his heart out, feeling knives enter his heart, shattering it into pieces. Betrayal, he felt.

'It's been...289 days...or more...I lost count...' He thought solemnly while glancing lazily at the coloring book that had scratches all over it during one of his...episodes.

He never would've thought that his best friend would abandon him like that. Heck, there wasn't even a goodbye!

   It hurt. A lot.

   Now, he was alone again.

"You'll never amount to anything if you keep clinging to the past, Lucifer."

Maybe his mother was right. Maybe he should just forget it and get used to his situation. Yeah, that's right! He can do this. He can please his mother this way!

   .

   .

   .

   No.

   NO.

WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE?

   WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY—

WHY DID WENDY HAVE TO DIE?!

   SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG.

   SHE SHOULD'VE LIVED.

   .

   .

   .

Lucifer hated being alone. He needed someone. Anyone

Being alone reminded him too much of his mother and the way those bugs crawled inside of his ears. How they would squirm while inhabiting his head, how disgusting it felt. How the sounds they'd make would be stuck inside of his head, quite literally and metaphorically.

Suddenly, the brunette heard a squirming noise. He glanced around him only to find no one.

Horror struck him immediately. Oh god.

   THE BUGS ARE HERE.

GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT

The boy began clawing into his ears as droplets of blood continuously pooled out, creating a puddle.

GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT GET IT OUT

The hospital rung its alarms as multiple nurses chained him to the wretched white bed. Hahahaha...he couldn't believe it!

He was squirming just like the bugs that were in his head!

   Hahahahahahaha...

   THIS WAS WHAT MOTHER WANTED!

GOOD JOB, LUCIFER. YOU DID IT!

HAHAHAHAHAHA, SQUIRM MORE AND YOU'LL BE JUST LIKE DAD.

   MOTHER LOVED DAD.

IF YOU ACT LIKE HIM, SHE'LL LOVE YOU TOO, RIGHT??

His vision darkened after a syringe was inserted to his neck. The squirming stopped, meaning mother's love had stopped.

   .

   .

   .

The boy awoke from his slumber and felt something around his throat. It was a scarf?

It provided warmth...mother can't get to him now that he has warmth.

   Haha...Lucifer can finally rest...

*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

Eden who was done with thinking back on what happened at his house glanced at Lucifer who was still zoned out.

He pulled away from Lucifer's grasp and sat on his bed.

Suddenly, a magical lightbulb appeared on his head.

Come to think of it, Eden never bothered to ask Azrail why he suddenly appeared after he murdered them.

He decided to ask Azrail right here right now. "Why did you appear when I murdered my parents? He asked bluntly, taking note that Lucifer can't possibly hear him anymore due to how zoned out he was.

   'Jeez...way to be direct...'

"Just answer the question." Eden said sternly, glaring at where Azrail was, except to the naked eye, it was just a wall.

'I don't know,' He began, making Eden's scowl worsen. 'I was triggered by that event all of a sudden and I woke up from my slumber.'

Eden had a feeling that Azrail wasn't telling the whole truth but decided not to press him any further. He needed to escape from being jailed first. Worrying about a fictional twin would just be a waste of time, for now.

Lucifer waved his hand in front of Eden's eyes.

"Hello? Is anybody in there?" With that, Eden woke up with a startled gasp.

Lucifer was also surprised as he placed his hand over his heart. "Welcome back." Said Lucifer, trying to regain his composure.

"Sorry for spacing out on you...it's just that...my memory is fuzzy about everything..." he excused himself, feeling his face heat up in embarrassment. When he tried getting up to go to the restroom, his head began to hurt like crazy.

*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

"Shhh....don't tell anyone, Eden." Said someone whose face is blurry. That person opened something up in his room—he recognized that—and entered it. Before they left, that person whispered something into his ear—something he can never forget.

"Don't forget this...after your parents die...enter this door...I will be waiting for you, Eden...Azrail too..." with that they left by closing that secret entrance.

A few minutes have passed and his nanny walked in. "Eden, dinner's ready. Come on." She picked up three year old Eden and walked downstairs.

*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

As fast as the memory appeared, it disappeared in a flash leaving no time for Eden to find out anymore. He turned to Azrail who was floating next to him.

   "Who was that?"

Azrail stared blankly at Eden before speaking up: 'Hah? Have you finally lost it? What are you even talking about?'

"Sorry but...who were you talking to...?"

Lucifer squeaked when Eden turned to face him with an expression that was quite scary for him. Eden's face contorted to that of shock and the realization that he wasn't alone.

"No one of importance, I was just trying to collect my thoughts." He answered while playing with his hospital clothes.

"I was worried when you started holding your head..."

"...it was just a headache." Lucifer stared into his eyes, unconvinced but he dropped the topic.

"Lucy! It's time for your injection." The door swung open to reveal a female nurse.

   "Coming!"

And with that, Eden was left to his thoughts.

'This is so boringgg...' Said Azrail who was floating around the room.

"At least you can fly. I'm stuck here on the bed."

   'Provide some entertainment, dear brother.'

"How about—y'know what, never mind. Who was that?

'Who was who?' Azrail raised an eyebrow at him.

"That person in my memory...they knew about you. They also knew that my parents will be killed."

   'I said I don't know.'

"You're like one of those side characters in games that won't tell valuable information until it's too late."

'Probably am. Who knows?' Azrail exclaimed while getting ready to smack Eden on the head but then he realized he can't since he's a spirit. 'Fine...you'll get away from my wrath just this one time...' his shoulder slumped down and Azrail glared at Eden. More black goo dripped down onto the floor.

"Whatever," Said Eden, not paying attention to his supposed brother's nonsense.

'Also since I'm a great brother, I'll tell you why I can't tell you who those people are!' He puffed out his chest proudly.

Eden's ears perked up and gestured for Azrail to continue.

'I honestly have no idea who they are,' he began, leading to Eden groaning in disappointment.

"I knew you won't be much of a help."

'Shut up with your attitude, Mr. Oh-I'm-So-Smart, and let me finish, dickhead.' Azrail retorted, flipping his long imaginary hair.

'Basically, all I know is that my memories have been blocked by a woman of white and that's about it but I know for sure, you'll meet the two people in your memory or whatever.' Azrail finished his grand speech and applauds himself.

"Thanks, I guess for that semi-useful information." Eden half-heartedly thanked his brother and quickly turned on the television to relieve his boredom. The news channel was on.

"Breaking News to channel 7! My name is Erica and there's quite a stir at XXXX! A seventeen year old teenager has killed her parents but kept her fourteen year old little brother alive. She admits to it and says that she wants to traumatize him since he made her life a living hell. Her name is Bella Satire." The female reporter moved to where Bella was.

"How did he make your life a living hell to the point where you want to traumatize him for life, Bella?" She asked, holding the microphone.

"He took everything away from me and by everything I mean EVERYTHING. He's a fucking devil in disguise as a human being. He feels nothing even when I killed them. He just watches like I did a messy job!" Bella yelled into the microphone. She moved closer to the camera.

"I hope you are fucking watching this. If you are....*laughs*why don't you just go die in a hole, you piece of useless shit? I'm tired of your acting! Do the world a favor and kill yourself, Eden Satire!" She was pushed out by Erica.

"O-Okay...now let's get back to you, John."

"T-Thank you, Erica. Next up, a Florida man tries to rob a bank with bananas. Can you believe that, Daniel? I—" Eden turned off the television.

'Wasn't I the one who killed them? Unless this asshat here lied to me...'

'I don't know. Maybe it's someone who wants you to be innocent.' Azrail, seemingly having read his mind, answered.

"And who might that be?Eden asked.

   'Fuck...'

'So he did lie about not knowing about that person.' He concluded.

'Look...I really don't know. I just woke up!' Said Azrial, surrendering with his both his arms in the air.

Eden decided to not press him.

He had too much information in his head.

The azure haired teen really needed to collect his thoughts one by one and so he closed his eyes and focused on remembering the past.

*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

   "You - - - chosen - - - - Azrail's - - - -. - - - - - demon. - - careful....- - - - - -....you're - - - - - - - - - - - - -! Don't forget!" A pale green-haired man told him. He was crying while holding some sort of knife. The man's right eye was covered by his hair as tears fell from his visible eye. His golden eyes lost their glow when he was—

—Stabbed but he couldn't feel it. He continued crying. A woman with white hair and clothing smiles quietly next to the man. Her smile is so sinister, it made Eden shiver.

"Good job." Said the woman as she patted him on the back. "Eden....wait a little longer until your memories are fine again." She continued before kissing his forehead and everything around him turned into darkness.

*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'(*゚▽゚*)'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*

Eden leapt to his feet as cold sweat clung to his back as if it were chains.

   His breathing was labored.

'What was the name of that woman?' As usual, he asked himself a question to which he hadn't a single clue about.

However, he was sure someone was keeping an eye on him.

He noticed a shrouded figure in the corner of the room. They gave him a friendly smile before exposing that they were wielding a blade.

"W-Who are you?!" He asked feeling his heart race with fear.

"Just someone you used to know but forgotten about." Said the figure. It sounded like a man was speaking.

White curly hair and golden eyes. He had piercings as well. This man looked like your everyday teenager in the year 2XXX in Pelirose. To top it off, he was also wearing a tracksuit that had black highlights with a white undershirt.

Some strange symbol was also on his jacket on the part where there was supposed to be a pocket. The shape of the symbol was odd. The man smiled bitterly and left the room.

'Why does he look like this all of a sudden?!' Eden's eyes widened.

"Tell me who he is, right now." Said Eden in a demanding voice.

'Fine...he's Super Sonico...and that's all I can tell you.' Azrail glanced at said man with an unreadable expression while replying to Eden.

"Super Sonico..huh...? Sounds like an idiotic name for a superhero." He talked to himself quite loudly, earning himself a snicker from Azrail.

"Knock knock." Said Adrain who popped in the room out of nowhere.

   "What the—"

"Shh...the headquarters doesn't know I'm here..." Said Adrain as he looked around.

"Geb youve dirteh hands off my fabe! (Get your dirty hands off my face)" Said Eden as he glared at Adrain.

"You're probably thinking why you're even here in the first place." He said while brushing his hair with his hand. "The reason why you're here is that, you're currently an orphan." Adrain yawned and began stretching. Way to be blunt, Eden supposed.

"I know that." Said Eden while glaring at Adrain.

"You're such a party pooper. Thought you were gonna cry or something like a normal kid." He paused for a moment before taking a deep breath in. "You're not normal now, are you?" Adrain stared right into Eden's eyes.

For the first time, he didn't know what to respond. Eden knew that he wasn't normal...I mean, what kid has a living (?) person inside their head that claimed to be his long lost twin?!

"I am. I'm just a bit more mature than other kids. I know my parents are going to go to heaven one day....but I didn't expect for it to be too soon." Azrail took over his body and Eden's voice got hoarse.

As he looked at Eden's pupils, which had turned into cat-like stripes, Adrain spoke."I guess mature kids do exist." His (Eden) pupil was encircled by a faint white color, giving a feline-like scelera.

It quickly went back to normal in a split second. Adrain decided to let it go since it wasn't his business but decided to keep a closer eye on Eden.

They started discussing until a strange-looking girl entered the room. She seemed to be two years Eden, making her sixteen years old.

Purple hair and eyes with a white-ish gradient. Two sakura-shaped hair clips lay near her bangs. She also had twin drills as well which was an odd hairstyle for a young girl like her.

"Adrain! You were supposed to be keeping watch over Samuel!" Said the teen while pouting. "Fine. Fine, Althea...I'll go..." Said Adrain, grumbling at the migraine he'll get if this continued.

"Don't make her angry..." Adrain whispered into Eden's ear.

'Are we supposed to feel threatened?' Asked Azrail as he floated around Althea who was staring at Eden.

"You fucking—Ahem." He cursed under his breath, feeling his soul enter his own body once again.

"Who are you and what did you do to Adrain?!" She pointed her hand accusingly.

   Eden sweat-dropped.

'Is she this dumb? Or is the police force just weak?

"I'm Eden. I don't know why Adrain came to my room. I am here because I recently turned into an orphan."

"I'm also an orphan and I understand how you feel. You're probably hurting inside...don't worry, you're not alone! I'm here for you!" Said Althea while giving him a hug. "You asshole..." she whispered with a small smile adorning her petite face.

'Split personality? This is getting interesting...' Said Azrail as he examined her while grinning. 'Looks like I won't be bored for a while, brother dearest.' A chuckle escaped Azrail's nonexistent lips.

People who tried their hardest to show pity even though they felt nothing, annoyed him to no end. A disgruntled expression was etched across his face.

He didn't know how this worked but he knew that she was lying. It was some sort of hunch. "Whatever. I'm going to bed so please leave." Said Eden as he got on his hospital bed and closed his eyes.

"I sympathized with you and this is how you repay me?" Her face was as red as a tomato which signified that she's angry.

"Nobody asked you to so yeah." Said Eden dryly while brushing his body cleanly because of the 'dust' he acquired after hugging this bitch.

'What a fucking mary sue wannabe.' Azrail rolled his eyes while scoffing.

   Eden nodded while looking bored.

This annoyed Althea to her core.

"Asshole." she murmured while crossing her arm.

'I can't even believe she's a sixteen year old teen when she's this fucking stupid.'

"Is that all you got, pea-sized brain?"

"You—" she was cut off by Adrain slamming the large textbook that he whipped out of nowhere on her head.

"She's a slow one." Adrain commented while lifting the teen's body up princess carry style.

   "I hate her."

"I do as well but I won't admit it directly to her." Adrain agreed while sighing. "That's why I never adopted her. She's too much for this body."

"Good choice." Said Eden while glaring at her unconscious body.

'Time to note this down. Wooohooo...' Adrain sighed. His job was getting more complicated and he didn't get paid enough to deal with this.

Eden climbed up the hospital bed once again and closed his eyes, drowning inside of dream land.

May the death of the night be kind to him.
