We have arrived at the city hall council. For most cities, their lord will hold an important meeting at their own homes. It brings several advantages for said lord such as security measures, being comfortable at your home and such, but for this city of Estel, the current lord, Crow, did not fully agree with it. For him, to display that a lord is working hard for his people, showmanship is needed, and thus, he decided that almost every major meeting need to be done in the city hall, and the public is free to look at their magnificent lord and his trustable council, doing their job

While it might seem he's simply showing off, I would say, he does have a point. Showmanship is indeed important. One can accomplish a thousand tasks for the sake of another, and yet, it will be nothing if that task fails to reach its target audience

The city hall is the second biggest building in this city, only losing to the ancient castle of the Estel where the city lord, Crow resides. It's made out of white marble with blue tiles cold during blazing summer and fiery red during the icy winter. It's a marvellous invention by one of the genius in the scholar tower, whom I so happen to be acquainted with as he had commissioned my several requests for the past few years

The place where the meeting will be held is in the centre of the hall, a large public hall suited for an important meeting. There, the city lord, a 30 years old man with silvery hair, looking younger than his age suggests wise, thin built with a decorative sword on his belt awaits his quest. From the looks of it, he just arrived a few moments ago

Normally, one would need to show courtesy to the city lord for allowing us to sit together with him, but alas, I simply ignore that noble courtesy and just sit in my place, not even bothering to greet the lord. Not knowing what to do, my younger siblings and Mira simply stand behind me. They knew for a fact that what I did was indeed wrong, but they also knew the reason behind my inexcusable behaviour

"As rude as ever" [Crow]

"Said the one that forcefully use his power to bring my younger sister into this meeting" [Yuna]

"She's an important eyewitness after all" [Crow]

"Spare the excuses, we all knew your true intention" [Yuna]

Others can simply make a silent gulp, hearing our exchange. One would normally be executed if they are rude to a noble, alas, I am technically still from a noble lineage, and he could not afford to cross me, for his safety and benefit. He would not dare to miss any opportunity to lick the shoe of my dastard father, and he also couldn't afford to lose an S rank adventure protecting the city under his jurisdiction. As for the safety factor part, it is pretty self-explanatory, he and his army aren't strong enough to take down an S rank adventure with a title bestowed from God of War

Rather than wasting our time, the city lord simply makes a dissatisfied glare before receiving greets and presents from other guests

As all the important figures finally arrive, the city lord gives his opening speech and thus, the meeting start.
