In the library of Beacon Teams RWBY, CHSE, and JNPR are all sitting at separate, but nearby tables. RWBY is playing a game, JNPR and CHSE are doing random things.
Sam is going going through a text book and writing down notes, Henry is doing homework. Ecru has in face planted into a text book and Copper has his feet up on the table and his hat is over his face.
Ruby:"Hmmm... Alright! Hmmm... Alright..."
Ruby points at Yang.
Ruby:"Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!"
Yang:"Bring it on!"
Ruby:"I deploy, the Atlesian Air Fleet!"
Yang Gasps.
Ruby:"Looks like I get to fly right over your Ursai and atack your walls directly!"
Ruby makes airplanes noise.
Henry:"I'm surprised we haven't been kicked out yet because of them."
Yang gasps and points to Ruby.
Yang:"You fiend!"
Ruby:"And since Atlas is part of Mantle, my repair time only lasts one turn."
Yang:"Hehehe... Pretty sneaky sis," *Yang holds up a card then flips it over and shows Ruby.* "but you've just activated my trap card!"
Ruby:"Whaaaaaa!"
Yang:"Giant Nevermore!"
Yang slams the table and a few pieces get knocked over.
Ynag:"If I roll a seven or higher Fata; Feathers will slice your fleet in two."
Ruby:"But, if you roll a six or lower, the Nevermore will turn on your own forces."
Yang:"That's just a chance I'm willing to take."
Sam:"What are they even playing again?"
Copper flicks his hat up and Ruby yells in the background.
Copper:"Conquer Remanent."
Sam:"And what is that?"
Copper:"It's a game where you play as one of the four kingdoms and try to conquer the other three."
Copper tilts his head back and looks at Team RWBY.
Copper:"And Vacou better win!"
Weiss:"Shut up!"
Copper looks back to his team and he sits back up.
Copper:"Its a boring game."
Henry:"Have you ever played it?"
Copper stares at him.
Copper:"No, I've never had the time too."
Then they hear Weiss laughing evilly in the behind them.
Weiss:"YES! FEAR THE ALMIGHTY POWER OF MY FORCES! COWER AS THEY PILLAGE YOUR HOMES AND WEEP AS THEY TAKE YOUR CHILDREN FROM YOUR VERY ARMS--!"
Yang:"Trap Card."
Yang holds up a card.
Weiss:"Huh?"
Yang messes with the pieces on the board.
Yang:"You armies have been destroyed."
Copper sighs.
Copper:"Never trust a Schnee with anything."
Henry:"You seem to have history with the Schnee's."
Copper coughs into his hand and looks away from the group.
Copper:"I may or may not have pissed off her sister many times. And she may or may not be after me to arrest me."
Sam:"What did you do?"
Copper nervously laughs and rubs the back of his head.
Sun:"'Sup Losers."
Copper tilts his head back and sees Sun.
Ruby:"Hey, Sun!"
Copper waves his hand.
Copper:"Sorber"
Sun:"Copper, Ruby, Yang, Blake, Ice Queen..."
Weiss:"Why does everyone keep calling me that?!"
Copper:*Mumbles.* "Gee, I do wonder why."
Sun:"I never got a chance to formally introduce you to my old friend."
Neptune:"Uh... aren't libraries for reading?"
Ren throws his arms up.
Ren:"Thank you!"
Nora*Snorts.* "Pancakes!"
Ecru shoots up in her chair.
Ecru:"Food?"
She looks around and rubs her eyes.
Sun:"Shut up. Don't be a nerd."
Neptune holds up his hand.
Neptune:"Intellectual. Okay. Thank you."
He looks to the others.
Neptune:"I'm Neptune."
Weiss:"So, Neptune, where are you from?"
Neptune:"Haven..."
Neptune walks over to Weiss.
Neptune:"...And I don't believe I've caught your name, snow angel."
Weiss Blushes.
Weiss:"Um... I'm Weiss."
Jaune:"Are you kidding me!?"
Neptune:"Pleasure to meet you."
Sun looks down to Blake.
Sun:"I never took you as the board-game-playing type!"
Blake:"Right..."
She sets her cards down and gets up.
Blake:"Well I think I'm done playing, actually. I'll see you guys later."
She walks off and Copper stands up and goes over to Sun and he watches her leave.
Nora:"Woman."
Ecru:"Right."
Everyone gives the two confused looks.
Later that Night
Copper and his team are back in the dorm rooms and Copper is sitting in the windowsill.
Roman:*memory.* "Well well well, if it isn't Copper. I thought you were still in prison."
Copper:*Memory.* I should repay you the favor of getting me sent there!"
Copper rubs his head.
Copper:*Memory.* "Roman, Help me!"
Roman:*Memory.* "Sorry kid, No loose ends."
Copper sighs and he remembers his talk with Ozpin.
Copper is sitting at a table and a single light is on above him. Ozpin is standing in front of the table.
Ozpin:"It's been an interesting evening."
Copper:"It certainly has."
Ozpin sits down.
Ozpin:"I was hoping we could talk about it."
Copper:"avanzar."
Ozpin:"Wonderful!"
Copper straightens his hat.
Ozpin:"As you know, in order to enroll at my academy, students must first pass a rigorous entrance exam. Most applicants spend years of preparation training at one of the many combat schools around the world... You only have two years at Sanctum. And you passed the exam with a near perfect score."
Ozpin takes a sip from his mug.
Copper:"I was trained at a young age to defend myself from the horrors of the outside world. The rest is from experience, You gotta learn to adapt and survive or you die."
Ozpin:"Well you have most certainly survived, Copper. I admire your efforts. And I am proud to run a school that accepts individuals from all walks of life."
Ozpin lifts up his mug.
Ozpin:"Rich, poor, human, faunus..." *He takes a sip from his mug.* "... Reforming Criminals."
Copper glass at him; Copper's tail sways behind him.
Ozpin:"Why did you do it? Why run away from it.
Copper:"I didn't do it. I was set up."
Ozpin:"Well, if you didn't rob the San Ricardo bank, then who did?"
Copper growls and he punches the table.
Copper:"Roman Torchwick!"
Ozpin:"Ozpin, but there was no evidence that he or anyone else was there, except you."
Copper curls his hands into fists.
Copper:"I didn't do it. I don't want to be a criminal anymore, It's not who I am or what I am."
Ozpin:"And what are you?"
Copper tilts his head.
Copper:"I don't understand, Professor Ozpin."
Ozpin:"How did you know that the White fang would be at the shipyard tonight?"
Copper shakes his head.
Copper:"I got lucky, happened to be in the right place at the right time."
Ozpin:"You wouldn't have been the first... but what happened tonight was not an isolated incident. I may be your headmaster, but I am also a Huntsman... And it is my sworn duty to protect this world from the forces that conspire against it. Copper... Are you sure there is nothing else you would like to tell me?"
Copper:"No señor."
Ozpin nods then he stands up.
Ozpin:"Very well. Thank you for your time, Mr. Gepard."
Ozpin walks to the door and he turns to Copper.
Ozpin:"If you ever need to talk to me... please don't hesitate to ask."
Ozpin opens the door and walks out of the room.
Sam:"Copper?"
Copper is snapped out of his daydream and he looks to Sam and he also sees Ecru and Henry beside him.
Sam:"You seem worried."
Ecru:"Is this about what happened at the docks?"
Copper sighs and nods.
Copper:"Roman working with the White Fang, that can't be good at all."
Copper takes his hat off and he puts a hand through his hair.
Henry:"What can we even do about it."
Copper puts his hat back on.
Copper:"I don't know. At least any legal way of doing it."
Copper smirks.
Copper:"But I may have an idea."
