Tony felt as thought he was about to faint. The arm sat at the end of the ladder, dripping in blood from it's previous owner. A strange goo that was probably saliva of the zombie that had had it. Thea raced over towards under the opening and shot an arrow up.

"Do you guys have a secret exit . . . ?" Tony was shaking.

"No! We haven't been able to get to that yet!" Derick yelled back.

Tony groaned. He gripped his frying pan tighter.

Derick lunged forward and climbed the ladder. Slashes filled the air and limbs fell. Thea moved up the ladder and Tony heard arrows flying. He felt like he was about to throw up.

"I can't do this." He muttered and leaned against the wall.

"GET UP HERE!" Derick yelled at him.

"I CAN'T!"

"THERE AREN'T ANY ZOMBIES BLOCKING THE WAY! COME ON!"

Tony was trembling, "I CAN'T DO THIS!"

"JUST CLIMB UP! YOU WON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!"

Tony climbed the ladder quickly.

He was in the small building again with the zombies cleared out.

"Let's go." Derick motioned for Tony to follow him.

"Where's Thea?" Tony asked when he realized he wasn't with them.

"Outside." Derick pushed down the door and ran out, "Thea! I got him!"

Thea glanced up from getting out an arrow from a zombie's fully dead body.

"Good." She nodded and went back to tugging at the arrow, "A little help?"

Tony was about to go to help when Derick pushed him out of the way. He went to Thea and told her to move so he could get the arrow. With one hand he pulled the arrow out and handed it to Thea like it was the easiest thing in the world.

"Thanks." Thea took it with a smile and put it with the rest of her arrows.

"You're welcome." Derick glanced at Tony, "Got a problem?"

"W-what?" Tony had been standing there staring at Derick and Thea.

"Is there a problem?" Derick asked more sternly.

"No." Tony looked down at his feet.

"Alright." Derick turned back to Thea, "Let's go. The zombies will be back soon."

Tony trudged over towards them.

"What's the matter?" Derick stared at him.

"Nothing." Tony averted his gaze.

"Let's go then." Derick began moving, Thea close behind him.

Tony sighed and followed them both.

A groan came from behind him. He spun around and leaped away from a zombie. He began running and Thea and Derick followed.

"We can't outrun them!" Thea yelped.

"They're zombies! Aren't they supposed to be slow?!" Tony yelled back.

"NOT THESE!" Derick yelled and ran faster.

Tony suddenly stopped when he saw a run down vehicle.

"Wait!" He called after them.

They stopped and turned, "What?!" Derick asked.

"Follow me!" Tony ran to the vehicle.

He hopped in the drivers seat and glanced around. The vehicle was a simple green jeep with plush leather seats and a tough wheel. The keys were in the slot but hadn't been turned. Derick jumped into the passengers and Thea went in the back.

"Tony! I hope you know this was a stupid idea!" Thea told him, "There is a high chance that this jeep won't even work!"

"Do you even know how to drive?!" Derick asked, glancing around nervously.

"We'll have to see." Derick frowned deeply as Tony replied.

He turned the key and the engine sputtered.

"It isn't going to work." Thea said.

"It will." Tony protested.

A loud snapping noise filled the air and suddenly the jeep turned on.

"It's working." Thea's face filled with surprise.

"Yep."

"You know how to drive?"

Tony paused, "Nope."

"Well that's great." Derick pressed against the seat.

The jeep lurched forward and began driving. Tony hit sharp corners and ran into zombies but other than that was fine. Tony jerked to a stop in front of their base.

"Let's go." Tony pulled out the key and hopped out.

They headed towards the base and went down.

"Let's rest." Thea suggested.

Tony nodded. Derick laid down and almost instantly fell asleep.

Thea went over to Tony, "You alright?"

Tony sighed and asked, "Do you like Derick?"

"Derick? God no!" She chuckled, "I like girls and Derick likes guys."

Tony stared at Thea in surprise, "You like girls?!"

"Yeah. Is that a problem?"

"N-no! Of course not!" Tony felt his heart sink.

"Did you like me?" Thea edged closer.

Tony shook his head violently. Thea laughed and went to a corner,

"You should sleep with Derick."

"What? Why?"

"He's been through a lot and could use it. It's awkward for me cause I like girls. He might take it the wrong way. But you're of the same sex. You'll be fine." She nodded and went to sleep.

Tony thought for a moment and crawled to Derick. He sighed angrily and laid down next to him. As he edged closer he suddenly realized Derick was awake.

"You're awake!"

"Yeah." Derick glanced at Tony, "And you're sleeping next to me?"

"You don't mind do you?"

"I can tell you aren't just doing cause Thea told you to. Why are you?"

"Well . . . because . . . you're the strongest and it's kinda . . ."

"You scared of the zombies?"

"W-what?! Of course not!"

"It's fine. I am too." Derick went to Tony and pulled him closer.

Derick's head fell on Tony's shoulder and Tony heard his deep breathing. Tony sighed and went to bed too. They were going to have a long day tomorrow.
