I woke up in the carriage with my hands still bloodied.

‘What did I do?’ That same moment memories flooded back from when I was possessed.

“Fresh blood!” I exclaimed and jumped at the same thug, this time I managed to rip out a part of flesh from his neck.

“Somebody, get this bitch off me!” He was pleading for help from his buddies. They just stood there and looked at him shocked.

“Heeeeeeeeeellp me!!!” He shouted for help.

And then I killed him, the other one ran away.

I started getting sick.

That was all I could remember, but one thing seems a little bit off.

‘How could Arisa look so calm and composed when she saw me?’

At the same moment that I was thinking, the same Arisa jumped inside.

“How are you doing?” She asked as cheerily as always.

“I’m good.”

“Alright, then we can head back to the mansion, I got everything that was needed, so I shouldn’t get smacked by Eris when I get back…”

‘Eris? Who the fuck is she?’

After seeing my puzzled look, she decided to elaborate.

“Eris is the second maid that woke us up in the morning.”

“Pretty sure it was me who woke up first?” I decided to mess around with her.

“I can’t get up early in the mornings, okay? I don’t know how can anyone wake up so early? It’s just impossible.”

“But I woke up before you, and then Eris came in, only to see you sleeping soundly.”

“Whilst hugging somebody like a dakimakura…” I added with a blank look in my eyes.

“Uhh… Look I can explain! You are just so huggable and comfortable! I just couldn’t resist!”

“Haaah… You can’t undo something that has been done already. But I have a question.”

“Wow, such wise words from Eve, call me even more surprised. Okay, what is it?”

“What happened to me? All I can remember is just everything going completely black and then I was unconscious.” I asked.

‘Let’s play the role of, ‘I can’t remember anything’ just to see what will she do.’

“You really can’t remember what happened?”

“Yes, everything just suddenly went black and I felt that I fell unconscious.”

“To simply explain, do you remember seeing those two thugs?”

“Yes.”

“I… Killed… Him…?” I asked, my shoulders started trembling.

“Yes, you ripped through his neck with your nails. Have to say, those are some strong and sharp nails.” She added unnecessary details.

I was getting sick, I felt like I could throw up any moment. My shoulders were trembling, it was like I could start crying any moment. But no tears came out of my eyes. I wasn’t feeling very well at the moment.

*POV-Arisa*

“You killed one of them. Your hands are stained with his blood.” I explained to her casually, like I always do.

“I… Killed… Him…?” She asked, I could see her shoulders starting to tremble.

“Yes, you ripped through his neck with your nails. Have to say, those are some and sharp nails.” I added some unnecessary details to see how will she react.

I could see that she was starting to get sick and she looked like she could throw up at any moment. Her shoulders were still trembling as if she could start crying any moment but she still hadn’t started. Seeing how sick she was feeling, I deduced.

‘For a vile, cruel and evil demon fox, the only demon species that has a secret that both humans and demons haven’t found out. She reacted surprisingly humanly.’

During the whole trip back to the mansion I was just sitting whilst hugging my knees with my still bloodied hands, in the corner on the floor, and simply rocking back and forth. I was staring at my hands.

‘What happened to me? What made me kill him?’ I was feeling so sick, I thought I would pass out at any given moment.

After thinking for the whole trip back to the mansion, I could only arrive at the only conclusion.

‘He mentioned my name, Envy. Which activated the curse and made me kill him.’

‘But wait, my curse makes me steal their life experiences… Just what did I take?’

I tried digging around in my head, only to find nothing.

“Eve, we’re back at the mansion.” Arisa woke me up from my thoughts.

I looked over to her side and saw that we were truly back here.

“Come on, let’s go to the kitchen to wash off that blood.”

Just like that, we went to the kitchen, I washed off the blood, Arisa reported back to Eris and still got smacked in the head.

“Why the hell did you let her kill that thug!? You useless Rice pack!”

‘Wait!? I can understand human?’ I could understand what was being said.

“Please anything but that! Don’t remind me of those embarrassing days!”

“Oh I will! You Arisa that’s got rice grains for brain! Why did you traumatize the poor girl!”

“I had to test her! She is an evil and dangerous demon fox! The most dangerous of the demon species! And don’t you remember what happened back then!?” Arisa shouted back at her.

Eris’s expression turned really sad.

“We were all at fault back then! We wandered off the course!”

“But those demon foxes attacked us first without even giving the chance of running away, remember that your boyfriend was killed by them also! And Eve is one of those DEMON FOXES!”

“Okay stop shouting. The one you are talking about is right here.”

“It’s okay, she can’t understand human anyways.”

‘I chose the worst possible time for understanding human… But to think that Arisa had such a view about me…’

“Eve, we have to go and meet Elise for more lessons and help her with demonic.”

“Mm.” I just nodded.

“Look! She doesn’t even have the energy left for it!”

“The lord doesn’t care about it. Tell him that.”

When they were done talking, we walked into the library and saw Elise sitting near the table with the books ready to study.

“What took you so long? I was about to leave.”

“Sorry, Eris gave me a lecture about something. If you want to blame anyone then blame her.”

“Why should I blame Eris if you did something that made her lecture you? I don’t see any blame.”

“Kuh!”

When both of them were also done, we finally started studying.

After we were done studying both of the languages for the past hour and a half, Arisa spoke to Elise.

“Go talk to Eris and say to her that today is her turn to bathe you.”

“Eeeeeh… Why does it have to be big sister Eris? She is boring.” She pouted.

Arisa laughed.

“Haha, I’ll have to say this to Eris someday, she is boring. Nice one, Lady Elise.”

Once Elise left, Arisa sighed.

“It’s not easy being an assassin. You can’t get overly friendly with your target.”

We left the library and bumped into Eris, it looked like she was waiting for Elise to finish her bath.

“Eris, we’re going to finish this mission tomorrow.”

“Eh? You mean the mission including both of the masters?”

“Yes. I decided to declare them guilty of the cause.”

“How are we going to finish this?” Eris asked.

Arisa pointed at me.

“Looks like her name is cursed and I know it. I’ll make use of her.”

“Understood, Arisa.” It looked like she saluted.

“Sure, let me take over you from here.”

They switched positions.

“What should I do with her?” She pointed at me.

“Lead her to my room.” Then she turned to me and started explaining in demonic.

“She will lead you to my room, once you are there you can go to sleep. I will arrive shortly after I’m done taking care of Lady Elise.”

“Mm.” I nodded again.

*POV-Arisa*

When Eris took away Eve towards my room, I heard the door opening and there was Elise jumping out of the bath.

“Now now, Lady Elise, you shouldn’t jump outside like that.”

“Oh, Arisa! I wanted to scare Eris to see some change in her expressions, but I struck the jackpot instead. Hehe.”

“Listen here, during tomorrow’s breakfast I want you to call inside your room Eve and say one word.”

“Will you do it for me?” I asked.

“Of course I’ll do it for you! What is it?”

‘Yes. My plan worked out.’

“It’s Envy. Just say are you familiar with Envy and that will be enough. Will you do it?”

“I don’t’ know… The seven sins are a forbidden subject because of the Demon generals.”

“Remember when I said I have a mission?”

“Yes.”

“That mission is from the king himself. He gave me permission to call out the sin names, if anything happens, I will cover you. Okay?”

“From the king?” She asked me with her eyes sparkling.

“Yes, from the king himself.”

“If it’s from the king, then I’ll do it.”

“Thank you. Remember, during tomorrow’s breakfast. Alright?”

“Okay!”

‘Hehe, looks like our mission will go even smoother than anticipated.’
