I am planning on uploading a chaoter at least once a day. Probably won't but will try.

This is chapter 2! This is the second time I ever managed to get this far while writing. I refuse to let this story die like the rest though! Anyhow, onto the story!

Chapter Start

~POV Neve~

I am now mentally sound enough to get back onto figuring things out. Well, at least I think so, but enough about my mental state! No reason for me to stand back up yet. Fell over at some point and never bothered to stand back up. We have things to do, I can break down properly later!

"Hey Yuki, you said something about self status? I mean, it's title is pretty self explanatory but can you go into a little more detail?" (Neve)

[Sure, will do. It tells you about your current Status. It can be separated into five different parts. They are General, Offensive, Defensive, Statistics, and Feats.]

[General is just general information about you, such as name, race and age, Offensive is your current offensive capabilities including weapons, Defensive is your defensive capabilities including armor, Statistics is your general abilities, and feats are accomplishments or abilities you earned through your own effort and training.]

[By the way, while you may not remember it yourself yet, you do have combat training and the muscle memories and instincts that come with it. However, you will need to practice and get used to it again.]

"Oh, thanks! Can you please show me my status?"

[Will do]

"Errr, Yuki, what's the average number for the Ability Score?"

[10 is the average ability score between all the humanoid races. Most races do have some sort of benefit or drawback though. And before you ask, yes, the status is based on a d20 system.]

"Oh. Nice. Based on that last comment though I can guess what they mean, but I still need to ask this. What do each of the Ability Scores mean?" (Neve)

[Strength(STR) is a representative of your physical strength.

Dexterity(DEX) is agility, reflex, and Balance.

Constitution(CON) is how tough your body is and its ability to resist non magical outside influences on your body.

Intelligence(INT) is your ability to learn and reason things out.

Wisdom(WIS) is willpower, intuition, awareness, and common sense.

Finally, Charisma(CHA) represents your ability to get your way with others without beating them half to death.]

"Ah! So I was right! Wait… Why is my Charisma that high and Wisdom that low?!"(Neve)

[For charisma, you're cute. You have white hair, very pale skin and adorable blue eyes and just give off an aura of innocence. As such, you have a decent charisma and it will likely only increase with time. As for Wisdom, you lacked common sense even before losing your memories due to not being taught. During your past life you blatantly ignored most common sense and could be considered lacking in all things under the 'Wisdom' category.]

"Heeeyyy, that's rude! I won't deny it but it's still rude to say it straight to my face! But thanks for the compliment on the looks."(Neve)

[You're welcome]

"Ah, question, is there anything preloaded in the inventory? And can I put the letter I got into the inventory?"(Neve)

[Yes, and yes. There's an 'Assassin's Starter Kit' already in the inventory. To take it out or put something back in, just focus on what you want to take out or put in and imagine putting it in a chest, backpack or anything you can imagine 'storing' something. You can also see a mental list of all items stored inside by focusing on the inventory.]

Upon hearing that, I close my eyes and start to focus, attempting to put the letter in my hand into my storage. I imagined a hole leading through the void and reaching forward as if moving my hand through space itself. A strange feeling washes over my hand as I open my eyes and see my hand reaching through a pitch black circle devoid of all light. I let go of my letter and pull out a small wrapped up package that has a label of 'Basic Assassination Kit'

"Wow. Is this my inventory? Seems… dark. Perfect considering that I have a basic assassination kit. I do wonder why I have that though, any ideas why?"(Neve)

[Probably because you were naturally stealthy in your last life and have the same talent in this life? I mean, most people wouldn't even notice you unless you were trying to be noticed, and even then you were ignored most of the time.]

Rude. I mean, I wasn't that naturally stealthy. I only scared people occasionally. Anyways, I opened the package and started to go through what it had within it. It had two daggers, leather armor, two wrist sheaths, a backpack, a handful of coins I don't recognise, seven days of rations, five vials of poison with its antidote and a book titled "Poison Guide for Idiots" in Draconic.

"Huh, I just realised I can read Draconic."(Neve)

[Wasn't it in your Status?]

"Wasn't paying much attention. Was too busy trying to figure out what was wrong with me."

[Did you figure out anything]

"Sadly no, I still can't tell what's the source of my mental issues."

[Probably all the blunt force trauma.]

"That'll sure do it!"(Neve)

I swiftly skim through the Poison Guide to see if I'll find it interesting. I am now planning on learning poisons. Poisons are very useful, I am not planning on wasting something as useful as this. I'll need to learn to add poisons to my weapons without hurting myself, but that is something I feel like I can pick up quickly enough.

I decided to put on the leather armor, which is still very white with a bit of blue for a bit of flair, and wrist sheaths before putting the daggers in the sheath. I throw the rest of the items into my inventory before finally standing up.

"Crap, I can't feel my legs and my butt hurts from sitting on the stone floor."(Neve)

[Why didn't you just stand up once your legs stopped being able to feel them?]

"Lazy, anyways can you explain the dimensional shop a bit more?"(Neve)

[Well, the dimensional shop is like an online shopping catalogue except it has items from countless different dimensions. It will show you a small, random selection of items that rotate out every once in a while. There is also a permanent shop which will stay consistent no matter how much time passes. You currently only have three items in the shop at a time and it refreshes once a day at midnight. There's also a rarity system that I'll explain in a moment. Any questions?]

"I'm not even gonna question where these items come from, what currency does it use?"(Neve)

[It uses a special currency called Dimensional Points. You can get them by selling off your own items or giving up the currency of the world you're on. As you have just started, you have been given 500 points to begin with.]

Oh, wow. This is gonna be useful. I won't abuse it though, as I still need a challenge to survive. I know I can get rather lucky at times so I'll hold off on doing all too much with it for a bit. Wait a moment.

"What about the Rarity System?"(Neve)

[You see, the rarer or more powerful an object is, the less likely it is to appear in the shop and more it will cost to buy. For example, a Gungnir would be more expensive to purchase than a standard issue spear.]

"What's the rarities?"(Neve)

[In order of least to most rare, it goes like this:

Trash - Items that have no noticeable value, can generally be bought extremely cheap. (Old clothing, Worn down or Rusty Weaponry, Stale food)

Common - Common Items that hold some value but not a lot. (New Clothing, Standard Issue Weapons, Non Perishable food)

Uncommon - Slightly more uncommon stuff, can contain magic items (Uselessly enchanted magical items, high quality clothing and weapons, Nice Food)

Rare - Rare or Expensive items. (Low Level Enchanted Weapons, Useful but limited Magic Items, Even better quality non magic Clothing and Weapons, High Class Food)

Mythical - Items that are extremely rare and expensive to get. (High Level Magic Items, weapons, and Armor, Artifacts that aren't quite Legendary, Powerful Items with long Histories.)

Legendary - Items of Legends that's near impossible to ever obtain. (Legendary Weapons and Items that could destroy nations, slay God's, and more.)

These are the six rarities you can find in the store. Please remember that they get increasingly expensive as the items get rarer. Also, items with strict limitations such as racial locks, mastery/learning difficulty, and other such limitations can make an item cheaper. Due to his wish to give you a slight head start and absolute confidence you won't get a mythical or legendary item in the shop right off the bat, Platz has given you an option that allows you to get one free item for today only.]

"Holy Crap, that's insane! What's currently in the random shop?"(Neve)

[Here you go.]

[How did you wind up with both a Mythical and a Legendary?!]

"Lucky is in my feats for a reason you know."

Chapter End

I genuinely left what items would be in the shop to the dice rolls. My dice like Neve apparently. Ah, the line about Platz being absolutely confident about her not getting a mythical or legendary was my internal thoughts at the time of giving one free item. However that backfired and I have no intentions of going back on it.
