~Later that night~

While Dusk and Winter slept I decided I would leave the cave for a bit. Just to look around for a bit I really needed to blow off some steam. Luckily they were too tired to notice I left.

It was quite dark in the forest at Night the trees were so densely packed it covered the sky barely letting any light come through. After Following the normal path and walking through the dark woods for a while I came to a large open area filled with tall grass.

This is the place I normally hunt. Looking up at the sky it was filled with millions of bright Stars slowly moving through space. Taking up a little under a quarter of the sky was a deep blue planet. large red streaks moving through the planet's surface like giant claw marks.

This is the first time I've seen it so well. Normally it looks very far and blurry.

*Snap*

Shooting back to my senses and going into a low crouch and looking around. That was definitely the sound of something up ahead in the grass. Slowly inching closer a shadow jumps from the grass hitting me sending me falling back. It wasn't so much as it hurt as it knocked the wind out of me.

After catching my breath and looking up from where I fell the shadow stood still. It was pretty small for what I could tell. Now that I can see it I should be able to fight it right?

Going into a small crouch I slowly move toward the shadow. As I get closer it gets easier to see. It's one of those horned rabbits. It's about two feet tall, pretty big for a rabbit if you ask me. But the weird part would be their large narwhal like horn sticking out of their heads. It's much larger than the first rabbit I hunted.

Moving closer towards the rabbit, its black eyes following my movement jumping forward, I used the [Leap] skill to get behind the rabbit. I must have caught him off guard. I tried biting his neck right after but it sent a Kick straight into my collar bone. Pushing me back just barely enough to miss his neck. Moving back I gained a bit of space between us.

The spot where its kick landed thobbed. Moving back into the brush and using the tall grass to hide I quickly moved behind the rabbit. After a few seconds I was just barely behind the rabbit. Jumping out from the grass I aimed my teeth at his head. Just like I thought he kicked right for my collar again. I was just barley to counter and scratch its leg with my claw. Its kick was only slightly off from the last spot but it still hurt like hell.

Getting sent back into the grass and rolling a few feet. I could feel the spots where its kick landed throbbing in pain. Looking over at the rabbit it was laying on the ground thrashing around the cut on its leg had erupted with shards of ice pricing through its flesh and spread until it laid still with bloody spikes protruding from its body.

After that I passed out.

When I finally came too it was still pretty early in the morning. The first of the two suns was barely coming out over the tree line.

~ A title that's given to a deadly prince that uses ice magic to Mercilessly slaughter his opponent.

I Looking over at the body of the rabbit it was encased in a large block of red ice. Getting a closer look there were large holes punched through the sides of the rabbit. I really don't know how much damage I did. But it really saved me this time.

I could still feel where the rabbit had kicked me. It seems all have all have to take it easy for a bit... It definitely left a mark. Leaving the area I slowly walked back to the cave.

It took me a pretty long time to get back. I had trouble moving my front right leg. But I made it back.

After coming inside the cave I was knocked over by Dawn. Who started licking the rabbit blood off my face.

“Where were you all night? I had to tell mom you left early this morning.”

“I just went out to hunt for a while. I'm alright.”

Taking a step back and looking at me.

“You sure don't look alright. Well go lay down before mom notices.” As she started hurrying me inside the Den.

...

..

.

After what felt like a few hours of sleeping I finally got up and started to move around. I could move my leg better but it still hurt quite a bit. If only I had thumbs I would bandage myself or something.

After heading to the front of the cave Mom and Dad were waiting by the fire. I slowly made my way next to them. I wonder how they're doing.

At Least they don't have the injured effect anymore. As i got closer to the fire they noticed me.

Both of them quickly jumped up.

“So how was your hunt??”

“It went alright. I got a little injured though.” moving my way closer to the fire.

“What were you hunting?”

“A big horned rabbit, it got some good hit in on me so it took me a bit to get back to the den.”

I started staring off into the fire for a bit after that. I don't remember how long I stared off for but I don't think it was too long. The fire was just so pretty. I just loved watching it dance…

Before I knew it both my mom and dad pushed me over snapping me out of my daydream.

“Ah sorry. Yes?”

“Are you alright?!” both of them started checking around my body for cuts or some injury.

Backing up a bit from them.

“Guys I'm fine, I killed it, it just hit me a few times.”

Suddenly they stopped.

“You guys alright?”

“You said you killed it Fang. where? Take us there.”

“Alright, we're all pretty injured though.”

“It's alright let's go.”

Slowly we all left the cave in silence. I walked the same path back as the night before.

It Haden been long since I was last here so the grass was still pushed aside from where I walked. Following the path all the way through the first we finally came to the large opening in the field. But instead of the green field. It was completely covered in a thin layer of ice freezing the grass and even some of the trees next to the field a low icy mist filled the air.
