Spells the other half of occult magic. The more straightforward and dangerous type of magic. It can do everything from turning corpses into hideous beasts. To heal the sick and wounded. Basically, there is a spell for everything. With a list of every type of magic taking way too long to accomplish. Though even with the seemingly limitless amount of spells. Most people learn and go on to use less than a dozen spells. At least when it comes to occult magic.

As it comes out to the major risk when it comes to spelling magic. The lack of support when it comes to channeling magic. Though there have been people who try to adapt ritual stabilizers to spellcasting. To mixed results. Though even when they do work, they have limited effectiveness.

Though going back to spells themselves, three major ways determine the success of the spell. That being proper incantation, with proper wording and pronunciation. As the saying goes, the wrong way can cause as many problems. As if you said the wrong word in the first place. Though it tends to make spellcasting especially ill-advised to pubescent boys, experiencing voice cracks.

The next is channeling, which is the process where you make sure that the magic is properly channeled through your body. Which is frankly, ensuring that it spends the least amount of time in the body and ensuring that all of it leaves the body by the end of the spell. Though the process to do so is often hard to put into words. With most saying that it is something that can’t be learned through theory and only through practice.

The last is one's relation to the deity that the spell borrows power from. This last one, unlike the last two, isn’t a skill that can be clearly described and practiced. It is instead something that is a drought with enigmas, convoluted processes that are different for each entity. It is fraught with whimsicalness and frustration. It is the reason why people only tend to focus on one entity So that they can focus their effort on winning favor and avoiding the additional problem of balancing the relationship with multiple entities. Who more often than not, are at odds with each other. Though much can be said about it, with being the most stressful part of any spellcasting, is the ability to determine one's relation and level of favor that the particular entity holds the caster in. Is a skill that all but a very few struggle with. As entities are enigmatic and whimsical to all but their chosen. Which is a topic that is about as complicated and enigmatic as spellcasting itself.
