A Few Weeks Later

“Golden Warrior! Wait!” Someone shouted, Gohan turned around to see Videl rushing towards him.

“…Miss Videl?” Gohan replied nodding at her as she approached him, “How can I help you?”

“I…I just wanted to thank you for helping with the fire.” Videl replied, gesturing towards the still smoking building which was on fire moments ago. Gohan had pulled off the water tower and used it to put out the fire.

“It was nothing, just doing my part to help the city.” Gohan replied, smiling at her.

“No, it meant something.” Videl replied shaking her head, “I can fight petty criminals easily but putting out a building on fire, catching a crashing plane isn’t something I can really do…so thank you for your help protecting the city.” She added bowing her head.

“I…it’s fine you just focus on what you can do and do it. I’ll help you do the things you can’t.” Gohan replied scratching his cheek a little embarrassed, “I’ll see you around Miss Videl.” He said, flying into the air and leaving.

Gohan flew around for a while, he stopped a bank robbery, a high-speed chase, helped an old lady with her groceries, played hide-n-seek with a group of kids, and other small things around the city for the next few hours. Until he received a call from Zangya her call was patched directly into a communication feature that Vanadis added to his suit, “Hey, Golden Warrior.” Zangya teased, something she liked to do about his chosen superhero name which Gohan had come around to accept eventually. Only after Zangya and Vanadis laughed at the name he was planning to use first. ‘The Great Saiyaman.’ Zangya teased him mercilessly while Vanadis was more polite about it, suggesting he choose something else, which after listening to the people living in the city, he decided to keep the name ‘Golden Warrior.’

“…Hey, Z. What’s up?” Gohan asked, landing on the pointed top of a building to talk.

“Nothing much just want to remind you that we’re having a pool party this Sunday.” Zangya replied.

“A-already, I thought we still had time left.” Gohan said.

“You said you wanted to have to party before you start school, and you start that in a few weeks.” Zangya told him.

“Oh, wow really.” Gohan muttered surprised at how fast time had passed.

“Yeah, it’s crazy how much time has passed.” Zangya replied.

“Well ok thanks for letting me know.” Gohan said, “Is there anything else I need to know?”

“Hmm…Oh yeah! V, said to pick up some more food and supplies for the party, she’s going to send you the list.” Zangya replied, “Oh! Before I forget, based on V’s calculations Cooler should arrive sometime in May by the looks of things it should be early in the month.”

“Dang, that’s not too far away.” Gohan muttered.

“Sorry, there’s nothing I can do about that.” Zangya responded.

“No, it’s fine, I’m just wondering how I’ll balance school, fighting crime, and training for the tournament…” Gohan replied. “…I’ll figure it out.”

“Yeah, I know you will.” Zangya replied. “I got to go now, bye.”

“Ok, see you at home Z.” Gohan responded, before hanging up, and looking at the list Vanadis sent him. Gohan took a moment to just stand there and enjoy the setting sun with his cape fluttering behind him.

--

Gohan ducked under Zangya’s attack as he countered with an uppercut that she dodged by tilting her head to the side just in time she followed up by jumping and kicking off his chest to put some distance between them. “That wasn’t nice of you.” Zangya said, landing with a smile as she wiped the small cut that formed on her cheek.

“Sorry.” Gohan grinned.

“It’s fine but you’ll need to make it up to me later.” Zangya replied returning the grin.

“Oh! Sounds good to me.” Gohan said smiling.

Zangya laughed before launching herself at Gohan. Gohan launched himself at her as their fists collided with each other creating a shockwave, cracking the ground below them sending some flying into the air. They started exchanging blows at a rapid pace resulting in more shockwaves and the ground below them breaking apart more before they started moving around the wasteland they were fighting in. The terrain around them started to break apart; the ground, boulders, a few mountains, fell apart as they continued to fight.

Gohan caught her fist then pulled her towards him trying to knee her in the stomach, but she blocked it with her own knee, she followed up by headbutting him, surprising him into letting her go as he tried to shake off the shock. Zangya didn’t let up as she quickly lifted her hands placing them on his chest, “Masenko Ha!”

Gohan was sent flying into the distance crashing into a small mountain that broke apart as he impacted it making it crumble and fall on top of him. Gohan shook his head as he climbed out of the rubble, “That wasn’t…” Gohan started saying rubbing his forehead but stopped when he saw a blue light glowing brighter above him, forcing him to look up and see Zangya in a familiar pose.

“…Me…Ha!” Zangya shouted, firing at Gohan.

“Oh Crap! Kamehameha!” Gohan shouted quickly charging up his attack, firing it to meet Zangya’s.

The two beams collied with each other creating a large ball of energy that exploded outward into smoke that sent shockwaves that broke the terrain some more, Gohan ducked, placed a hand on the ground, and used it to help him spin around to roundhouse kick Zangya who appeared behind him. Gohan’s kick caught Zangya’s side even though she twisted slightly to minimize the blow she was still sent flying away from the force of the kick. Gohan flew after her wanting to press the advantage but staggered slightly when Zangya used her Psycho Threads to delay him for a fraction of a second. Which was long enough for Zangya to get her footing back and counterattack, “Beauty Shot!” she shouted just as Gohan broke free.

“Saturday Crush!” Gohan shouted countering Zangya’s attack. They both jumped back smiling at each other.

“Damn, I thought I had you there.” Zangya replied with a grin.

“You almost did, if your Psycho Threads were a little stronger it would have worked.” Gohan commented.

“They get stronger the more time I spend making them. When they’re made in a hurry they don’t work as well.” Zangya shrugged.

“Hmm, maybe we can come up with a way to make them stronger with less prep time.” Gohan answered.

“Is that possible?” Zangya asked.

“Yeah, I did something similar with the Special Beam Cannon. The more time you charge it the stronger it becomes. I managed to find a way to shorten the time it takes, it can still kill someone but only if they don’t see it coming.” Gohan explained.

“Hmm, interesting.” Zangya replied nodding slowly, “Well I’m sure we can come up with ideas on how to make them stronger, but that’s for later. Let’s continue.”

“Sounds good.” Gohan said smiling as they launched themselves at each other again.

Erasa

Erasa didn’t know what was wrong with Videl, she had been acting a little weird the past few weeks ever since she had that meeting with the school’s director that Videl hadn’t really told her much about. Most people wouldn’t have noticed it but as Videl’s best friend Erasa noticed. Erasa suspected it had something to do with Gohan because whenever Erasa mentioned him Videl’s eyebrow would twitch a little, a sign of her best friend’s frustration.

Erasa decided it was time to get to the bottom of things especially since Gohan’s pool party was tomorrow which they were invited to, and she didn’t want things to get awkward at the party if there was a problem between the two. Erasa liked hanging out with Gohan and Zangya. Erasa didn’t have a problem with Vanadis, but Erasa wasn’t a science person, so there wasn’t much she had in common with Vanadis, not like Erasa had with Zangya.

Erasa and Zangya loved shopping, they were both outgoing and were always trying to push their friends to try new things among other things they had in common. Then there was Gohan who was hot like ridiculously hot. Erasa had only spent a few moments with him, and she liked what she observed so far Gohan was smart, funny, in great shape, kind, and clearly very capable if he could handle two girlfriends. “Hey, Mr. Satan!” she greeted happily as she was led into the kitchen where Videl and Hercule were eating lunch.

Hercule was in the kitchen eating with Videl, “Hello, Erasa, it’s nice to see you.” Hercule greeted, in his more relaxed voice instead of his boisterous personality he used when out in public. “How are you?”

“It’s nice to see you too, I’m good how are you.” Erasa replied as the housekeeper set aside a plate of lunch for her next to Videl, “Thank you, Maria.”

“Of course, Miss Erasa.” Maria replied bowing her head slightly before continuing her duties around the house.

“I’m good, just about to head out to run some errands.” Hercule said, standing up, “You two have a good day now.” He added hugging Videl.

“Dad! Stop!” Videl replied, trying to push him away in her usual manor of not wanting to be embarrassed in front of Erasa.

Hercule just sighed and shook his head with a smile, “Bye pumpkin, enjoy your day.” He waved walking away.

“So, what brings you by?” Videl asked after they finished eating.

“I…I want to ask you a question.” Erasa replied, starting to second guess herself knowing how enthusiastic Videl can get.

Videl raised an eyebrow and looked at her, “What is it?”

“…You know how we’re going to a pool party tomorrow?” Erasa answered, looking away from Videl.

“…Yes.” Videl replied staring at Erasa who was looking anywhere but at Videl, “I asked you why we would go somewhere else when I have a pool here and you said it will be fun, to hang out with others and you refused to tell me where we’re going when I asked.”

“Right…well that was for a reason.” Erasa said, getting nervous.

“Which is?” Videl asked.

“…it’s at Gohan’s house.” Erasa muttered softly.

“What?” Videl asked, leaning forward.

“…It’s at Gohan’s house.” Erasa repeated a little louder.

“What!?” Videl exclaimed, looking at Erasa in disbelief.

“It’s at Gohan’s house. Zangya invited us.” Erasa replied.

“Is he going to be there?” Videl asked.

“I…I assume so, it’s his house so it makes sense for him to be there.” Erasa answered.

“…Then I’m not going.” Videl replied, tossing her swimsuit on her bed and crossing her arms, to glare at Erasa.

“…I already told Zangya we would go.” Erasa said.

“Well then you go alone, because I’m not going as long as he’s there.” Videl said, shaking her head.

“…Ok that’s enough!” Erasa said, standing up and walking up to Videl. “What’s your problem with Gohan!?” she asked looking down at Videl. It’s rare moments like this that Erasa remembers that she’s taller than Videl. Erasa may only be five inches taller than Videl but she’s still taller than Videl.

“W-what!?” Videl stammers shocked by Erasa’s reaction.

“I asked what’s your problem with Gohan. He’s been nothing but nice to us every single time we’ve run into him. But you seem to dislike him without even getting the chance to get to know him. What did he do to you to make you dislike him so much!?” Erasa asked, her eyes narrowing.

“I…I just don’t like him.” Videl said, looking down.

“No, that’s not good enough!” Erasa said, not backing down.

“Why do you care!?” Videl asked, looking up at Erasa, some fire in her eyes.

“Gohan’s going to be joining our school soon and if you don’t work out whatever it is you have against him then things will become awkward at school. Especially since we will more than likely have classes together.” Erasa replied. “I don’t want things to get weird between us if I invite Gohan and Zangya to hang with us after school. So, what’s your problem with him!?”

“I…I don’t want to lose you.” Videl whispered.

“W-what!?” Erasa muttered.

“I don’t want to lose you!” Videl repeated louder. “You’ve been talking about him and his…his girlfriend a lot lately and I…I’m just scared you’ll replace me…” she trailed off softly.

“Oh! Videl.” Erasa replied softly.

Videl and Erasa have been friends long before Cell ever showed up, so Erasa sometimes forgets how hard it’s been on Videl especially since Hercule beat Cell seven years ago. There was even a kidnapping attempt a year after the Cell Games. Videl and Erasa were playing in the park one afternoon when someone tried to kidnap Videl hoping to get Hercule to pay a ransom. They would have succeeded too if Hercule hadn’t heard Erasa’s screams. That kidnapping attempt is what led to Videl’s increased interest in Martial Arts and to her starting to fight crime, she wanted to make sure no one else experiences what she did.

“You dummy. You’ll never lose me.” Erasa said, pulling Videl into a hug, that she protested but didn’t really put real effort into it. “No guy will ever come between us. You’re my sister.”

“…R-really?” Videl asked softly.

“Really.” Erasa replied smiling, “No matter how hot and strong he looks… although the idea of seeing Gohan in swim trunks again…Yum.” She added fanning herself.

“…You idiot!” Videl muttered playfully shoving Erasa who laughed.

“So, you’ll come?” Erasa asked, watching Videl walk back to her bed.

“…Yeah, I’ll come.” Videl answered nodding.

“Awesome, thanks Videl.” Erasa said smiling as she threw herself on Videl’s bed, “…Wait why don’t you have a problem with Zangya?”

“What do you mean?” Videl asked, tossing a fashion magazine to Erasa that she kept around for her.

“I mean, yeah, I talk about Gohan a bit and want to hang with him, but I don’t talk about him as much as I do about Zangya, but that’s mostly because Zangya told me Gohan could use some friends his age. Apparently, he was homeschooled for years, and Zangya believes he needs some people closer to his age that he can hang out with. And you know me I want to be everyone’s friend.” Erasa replied, flicking through the magazine.

“Ok, where are you going with this?” Videl asked, looking up.

“I was getting there.” Erasa replied with a chuckle, “I wanted to ask why you don’t have a problem with Zangya? I mean I have a bit more in common with her than with Gohan, and I’m quite sure I’ve mention her more than Gohan.”

“I…I don’t know, I just don’t have anything against her. Maybe it’s because she reminds me a little bit of you. You’re both outgoing, cheerful, mischievous, and always pushing others to try new things.” Videl explained.

“Huh! Maybe that’s why we get along so well.” Erasa muttered.

“…I just hope they keep the PDA to a minimum. I don’t want to witness what we saw at the beach again.” Videl muttered, shaking her head.

“Aw, come on there’s nothing wrong with a girlfriend or in this case two girlfriends showing their hot boyfriend some attention. I mean I might even ask if they’ll let Gohan to rub some lotion on me.” Erasa grinned. “What I said no boy will come between us, but I didn’t say anything about not trying to enjoy a hunk of a man rubbing me down with lotion.” She added at the look Videl gave her.

“You’re impossible.” Videl replied throwing a pillow at Erasa, who just laughed as the pillow hit her head.

“Yeah, but you love me.” Erasa replied smiling, tossing the pillow back.

“I don’t know why.” Videl catching it, “…You don’t think it’s weird that someone our age is dating two older women?” she asked.

“…hey, whatever works for them right.” Erasa shrugged, “They’re not that much older than us, so it’s not too weird. Also, it’s clear they love each other a lot and that’s all that matters right?”

“I guess… I just don’t get it.” Videl said, shaking her head. “…What do you like about Gohan anyway?”

“Are you kidding me?” Erasa asked looking at Videl like she was crazy, “He’s hot, strong, smart, and kind. I mean you’ve seen him with his sibling the day at the amusement park, he clearly loves them. How many older brothers do you know that would take their little sibling out to the amusement park for the entire day? While he’s on a date with his girlfriend.”

“…Gohan’s alright I guess but he’s no Golden Warrior...” Videl replied before her eyes went wide in shock, her hands quickly covering her mouth.

“Oh!” Erasa grinned her head snapping towards Videl. “Is our fair maiden interested in Satan City’s newest Superhero!?”

“NO!” Videl exclaimed, removing her hands as she shook her head rapidly. “I didn’t say anything!”

“Yes, you did. I was wondering why you weren’t complaining more about someone else fighting crime in your city. Turns out you like him.” Erasa said smiling like the cat that caught the canary, “Come tell Big Sis everything about your boyfriend.” She added jumping at Videl and pinning her under her. When Videl tried to escape.

“You’re only a month older than me!” Videl said, struggling as she began laughing as Erasa started tickling her.

Hercule

Hercule wasn’t used to this waiting like a normal person, he had gotten used to people who would do anything he asked or to accommodate him especially since he claimed to beat Cell, but here Hercule was waiting in Capule Corp Headquarters. After finishing his morning errands, he received a call from Orange Star High School’s Director who reminded him that Videl needs to get her grades up or she’ll be in danger of repeating this upcoming year.

The Director said Videl barely scraped by last year and if she did that again this year, then she wouldn’t get into a good college. Hercule knew he could use his fame and fortune to ease things along, but he made a promise to his wife on her deathbed that he would do right by Videl and raise her right. That meant not using his fame and fortune to make things easy for her no matter how much he wanted to, he loved his little girl, and he didn’t want her to live her life like he did. Things were good but that’s only because of all the endorsements he’s received from when he claimed the credit for defeating Cell. If he hadn’t done that, he more than likely would have blown through all his money from when he won the World Martial Arts tournament because of his gambling addiction.

The Director had told him about finding a possible tutor for Videl, something she forgot to mention to him, when he asked how her meeting went. Hercule was surprised when The Director told him the tutor would be starting at Orange Star High School this year and that they worked for Capsule Corp. Which is why Hercule was here, Hercule may have been rich and famous, but he wasn’t naive enough to think he could just call Capsule Corp and ask for one of their employees to tutor his daughter.

“Mr. Satan.” A voice spoke breaking him out of his thoughts, “Mrs. Bulma will see you now.” The front desk attendant, Susan according to the name plate said putting the phone down.

“Ah…thank you.” Hercule said clearing throat as he almost went back into his showoff personality.

“Of, course follow me.” Susan replied, leading him through a hallway. “I must warn you in advance that Mrs. Bulma can’t give you too much of her time. She’s in the middle of a major project but agreed to see you when I told her who was here.”

“Oh! Haha that was nice of her!” Hercule replied slipping into his usual boisterous voice.

“What’s this buffoon doing here?” a voice interrupted, from behind him.

Hercule made to retort but his voice caught in his throat when he saw who it was, it was one of the men from the Cell Games, the short angry one. The Cell Games may have been seven years ago, but Hercule still remembered him and the others, he was scared that they would have come to find him for taking their credit. Especially with the Golden Warrior showing up in Satan City but they never came to confront him, so he relaxed. “W-what’s he doing here!?” Hercule thought in a panic. “A-are the others here too!?” he thought his eyes glancing around.

“Ah, Mr. Vegeta.” Susan said nodding at him, “Mr. Satan has a meeting with Mrs. Bulma. She also told me to let you know that she finished calibrating the Gravity Chamber and you can use it again.”

“Tch…fine.” Vegeta said, staring at Hercule for a good long while before turning around and leaving.

Hercule watched in small relief as Vegeta left, “…W-who was that?”

“Oh, that’s Mr. Vegeta, Mrs. Bulma’s husband.” Susan said, turning around to continue walking, “Come along, Mrs. Bulma’s just ahead.”

“R-right.” Hercule replied clearing his throat, “Oh, Kami maybe this was a mistake. If Bulma is married to that guy than she must know the truth about the Cell…which means that she won’t be too happy with me. Maybe I should just cancel…yeah that sounds like a good idea…NO! Videl needs me, I need to do this for her.” He thought as he shook his head and became determined.

“Here you go.” Susan said opening the door which led to a room where there were plenty of large screens with various graphs, numbers, readings, and other things, he wouldn’t even pretend to understand scrolling across them.

In the middle of the room was Bulma who Hercule recognized from the news whenever Capsule Corp came out with something new and revolutionary. There was another woman with long bushy auburn hair, wearing a white lab coat, standing next to Bulma. “If we adjust the setting here then it will remove the lag time between the connection.” The woman said touching the screen and dragging it to a diagram.

“Right, then with the lag gone then this part should start working as well and then send power to the rest of the model.” Bulma muttered.

“Mrs. Bulma.” Susan cleared her throat, drawing the two women’s attention to them.

Bulma turned to look at him, Hercule smiled turned nervous when the auburn-haired woman turned towards him, “Right, thank you Susan. I’ll take it from here.”

“Of, course Mrs. Bulma.” Susan nodded before leaving.

Hercule was nervous, “I…thank you for agreeing to meet me on such short notice.” Hercule said clearing his throat looking away from the woman who just stared at him in a way that unnerved him.

“…Right, I only agreed because I thought it would be interesting to hear what you had to say.” Bulma said, swiping her hand and powering down all the screens. “I mean it’s not everyday ‘The Savior of the World’ comes visit.” She added, but Hercule could hear the mocking tone in which she called him savior of the world.

“Oh, Crap! She knows!” Hercule thought in panic, sweat forming on his forehead, “W-what do I do now!?”

“Well!” Bulma said breaking his thoughts before they could spiral out of control, “I don’t have all day. What can I do for you?”

“R-right!” Hercule said clearing his throat and taking a deep breath thinking about Videl’s needs, “Mrs. Bulma, I’ve come here to ask if you would allow one of your employees to tutor my daughter. Videl.”

“Why?” Bulma asked.

“I…can we talk somewhere else?” Hercule asked, glancing at the auburn-haired women, who was still staring at him making him more nervous.

“…You’re the one who came here unannounced and asked for a meeting. I decided to agree to it, taking time out of my busy schedule to meet with you and now you want to make demands. No that’s not how this works. You want something, you need to say what it is here and now, or you can leave. You don’t have to worry about Vanadis she’s an interested party in what you want to ask me.” Bulma said, staring at Hercule with a look that made even more sweat start to form as he adjusted his collar.

“Y-you know why I’m here?” Hercule asked.

“I do, but I want to hear it from you.” Bulma replied.

“R-right…sorry.” Hercule said clearing his throat, regaining his composure. “I need a tutor for my daughter Videl. The Director of Orange Star High recommend a fellow student, but he told me the student works for you. So, I was hoping to ask if you would grant the employee some extra time off to tutor my daughter.”

“Why?” Bulma asked again.

“I…I just told you why.” Hercule said.

“No, I meant why my employee and not hire someone else. You can clearly afford it.” Bulma clarified.

“I…I have hired tutors, but Videl hasn’t responded well to them. I think it’s because they’re all older than her or because they have a sort of hero worship with me which makes things awkward.” Hercule explained, chuckling nervously, “According to The Director, the student in question has achieved some of the highest scores seen. I want the best for my daughter and if this student works for you while still being in school, they must be the best there is, which is why I’m here.”

“Hm…” Bulma hummed glancing at Vanadis who shook her head. “Sorry but no can do.” she said shaking her head too.

“W-what why not!?” Hercule exclaimed, “If it’s about money I can pay him too, so he’ll be earning even more. I can even…” he started rambling trying to come up with something else.

“Haha!” Bulma laughed aloud stopping Hercule’s rambling, “It’s not about the money.” She said shaking her head, “The student in question makes more working for me than whatever you could think of paying them for their time.”

“I…I…is there anything I can do to change your mind?” Hercule pleaded.

“No.” Bulma said shaking her head, before sighing at the look of disappointment on Hercule’s face, “Look, I talked to my employee after he spoke to The Director, and they told me before they could even talk with your daughter about making a schedule for tutoring, she stormed off and never got into contact with them again. Despite running into them on several separate occasions. Which means your daughter doesn’t want tutoring or doesn’t care about it which means my employee would be wasting their time on her. Time which could be put to better use. They told me that, if your daughter comes to them and asks for tutoring and puts the effort in, they will help her. So, unless your daughter gets serious about tutoring then my employee won’t help, but your daughter needs to ask them for help herself. Ok.”

“I…I see.” Hercule sighed, “T-thank you for your time.”

“Right, sorry you wasted your time.” Bulma replied. “Susan.” She called out.

“Yes, Mrs. Bulma.” Susan responded, coming back in.

“Show Mr. Satan out please.” Bulma said.

“Of course.” Susan nodded, “Mr. Satan, if you would follow me.”

“Wait.” Vanadis said, speaking for the first time.

“Y-yes?” Hercule asked, turning around.

“The only reason, the world still believes you defeated Cell is because the person truly responsible didn’t want the glory, he’s content with living his life with the world none the wiser. Remember that.” Vanadis said, staring at him.

“…Yeah, you should also know that every person working here at Capsule Corp knows the truth behind who defeated Cell, but we haven’t said anything out of respect for the real person who wishes to remain in the dark.” Bulma added.

“I…I’ll remember that.” Hercule replied, tugging at his collar.

“Good.” Vanadis said nodding her head at him and smiling in a way that made him even more nervous. “Have a good day.”

Hercule nodded and quickly left Capsule Corp more worried than when he entered, but there was some hope in his steps he just needed to talk with Videl and get her to agree to ask this student for help. As Hercule entered his home he realized that he didn’t know the name of the student in question or their gender, The Director and Bulma never said it and he never asked. Something he should investigate, especially if someone would be spending a lot of time with Videl, maybe he could ask Erasa for information if he told what was going on.

But that could wait for now, he thought a smile on his face as he heard laughter coming from Videl’s room, she deserved a few extra days of peace and relaxation before he talked with her about this. He would talk with her after she gets back from this pool party her and Erasa are going to tomorrow, Hercule was glad that Videl was making new friends, but he is glad that Erasa has remained Videl’s best friend throughout the years.

Gohan

“Holy Crap!” Erasa exclaimed, eyes wide she and Videl stepped out of the helicopter, “…You own this!?” she asked taking in the sights of the house.

“Y-yeah, it was gifted to me.” Gohan answered, scratching his cheek nervously.

Gohan hadn’t really thought about how to explain the house, he knew it was big, but he didn’t really think much about it because Bulma gave it to him and while she did occasionally go a little overboard. Gohan didn’t think it was too bad but based on Erasa’s wide eyed look and Videl’s surprised look it was more than impressive. “S-someone gave you this!?” Videl asked, turning to him.

“Y-yeah, a family friend.” Gohan answered, “Let’s head inside.” He said, trying to prevent more questions.

“First how about a tour?” Zangya asked, walking out to meet them.

“Yes! Please.” Erasa replied smiling as she walked up to Zangya.

“Holy Crap!” Erasa exclaimed again as they walked through the house, “This place is amazing!” she said as Zangya showed off the rooms, bathrooms, the living room, kitchen, the study, rec room, the gym, sauna, pool, hot tub, and outdoor grilling area. They didn’t enter Gohan’s office since that’s where the elevator to the basement was located.

“…you said someone gave this to you?” Videl asked again looking at Gohan.

“Y-yeah.” Gohan answered, scratching his cheek, which made Videl’s eyes narrow.

“H-holy Crap is that Bulma from Capsule Corp!” Erasa exclaimed, saving him from further questioning as she pointed at a photo taken during the pool party Gohan held a few weeks ago. “How do you know her!?”

Gohan winced a little because he didn’t really want to reveal his connection to Bulma, but he didn’t have a choice now, especially since they saw the photos from the pool party, “…Bulma is my godmother.”

“What!?” Erasa and Videl exclaimed their heads snapping towards him.

“Y-yeah, my dad was childhood friends with her.” Gohan explained.

“Was?” Videl asked, voice softened a little.

“Y-yeah, he died seven years ago.” Gohan answered with a sigh.

“Oh! I’m so sorry Gohan. I didn’t know.” Erasa said, reaching out to softly squeeze his arm.

“…sorry.” Videl replied softly.

“It’s fine…I’ve made peace with it.” Gohan replied smiling at them, “Come on let’s go enjoy the pool.”

“Right! Let’s go!” Erasa said, clapping her hands as they went to the pool area.

That’s where Vanadis was in a nice two-piece red and blue checkered pattern bikini with a cover-up on her, while she set up the food and some music played, “Hello, welcome.” She said nodding at Erasa and Videl.

“Hey, Vanadis.” Erasa replied waving at her, while Videl gave her a brief nod.

“You girls can go change in the bathrooms over there.” Zangya said pointing at some outdoor bathrooms they had robots built for occasions like this.

“Great, we’ll be right back!” Erasa replied with a grin as she dragged Videl with her their bags bouncing alongside them.

While they went to change Gohan and Zangya went to the little shed to get the floaties, lounge chairs and other pool items he bought for the first pool party he had a few weeks ago, there were floaties, an inflatable ball, a net, and other things. Gohan grabbed two lounge chairs and Zangya grabbed two herself, “You go grab the other things and I’ll set these up alright.” Gohan glancing at Zangya who nodded.

While Gohan set the lounge chairs up Erasa and Videl stepped out of the bathroom, Erasa was in a similar green two-piece swimsuit to the one she wore at the beach. Videl’s swimsuit was the same one as last time, a full body one but this one was blue. “Thanks Gohan!” Erasa said with a grin as he finished setting up her lounge chair.

“Yeah, no problem.” Gohan smiled back as he set up Videl’s lounge chair next. Videl just gave him a small nod.

“You must really use that gym a lot. Huh.” Erasa said, brushing her hair behind her ear as she eyed Gohan as he set up the other two lounge chairs.

“I…I use it whenever I get the chance.” Gohan chuckled, scratching his cheek.

“Yeah, I can tell.” Erasa replied grinning. “Can you do me a favor?”

“Sure.” Gohan answered.

“Can you rub sunscreen on me?” Erasa replied with a big smile, leaning forward a little making Gohan’s eyes go wide, as he looked away.

“Erasa!” Videl exclaimed.

“What!?” Erasa replied, glancing at Videl.

“I thought you were going to behave today.” Videl replied, looking at Erasa.

“I am behaving.” Erasa retorted.

“No, you’re not.” Videl answered.

“I…I’m going to go get the other chair.” Gohan replied, standing up and walking away.

Gohan shook his head as he walked back to the shed, he had no idea what was going on ok that wasn’t true he had a feeling he knew what was going on because of all his dating lessons with Zangya. Which is why he didn’t understand why Erasa was flirting with him she knew he was in a relationship and with two incredible women so why was she trying to flirt with him. Gohan would never cheat on Zangya or Vanadis, so he didn’t understand what as going on in Erasa’s mind or what she was trying to do.

“Zeni for your thought?” Zangya asked, breaking him out of his thoughts, she was getting the rest of the pool things like the inflatable ball, net, and floaties.

“I…I think Erasa is flirting with me.” Gohan answered, the thought of hiding it from Zangya never crossing his mind.

“Oh!?” Zangya replied, her eyebrow lifting, “Why do you think that?”

“She’s doing some of the things you told me girls do when they’re flirting. She’s complementing me, smiling a lot, her eyes keep roaming my body, her feet were pointed towards me, and just now she leaned forward to get me to look down her top when and asked me to rub sunscreen on her.” Gohan explained.

“Hmm…and how do you feel about it?” Zangya asked.

“I…I’m confused.” Gohan answered.

“Confused?” Zangya repeated, Gohan nodded in response, “Why are you confused?”

“Well, Erasa knows that I’m in a relationship with you and V, so why would she flirt with me. She must know nothing will happen so why waste her time.” Gohan replied.

“…I can find out if you want me to.” Zangya said.

“Won’t that be weird, talking to another girl you are friends with about her flirting with your boyfriend?” Gohan asked.

Zangya chuckled, “Gohan have I ever been easily embarrassed?”

“No.” Gohan answered.

“Exactly.” Zangya smiled, “Leave it to me.”

“Ok.” Gohan said, nodding his head as he picked up the last lounge chair, and helped Zangya carry the other things.

“…What would you do if she was flirting with you?” Zangya asked.

“I would tell her to stop because I’m in a relationship already.” Gohan answered.

“Good answer.” Zangya replied smiling at him, “…what if you weren’t in a relationship?”

Gohan came to a stop, “What do you mean?”

“I mean would you accept or return Erasa’s flirting if you weren’t in a relationship?” Zangya asked.

“…Z. Why are you asking me this?” Gohan asked, turning to face her.

“Just humor me.” Zangya replied smiling at him, “If you were single would you return her flirting or date her?”

“I don’t know…” Gohan answered, turning to look at Erasa who was getting sunscreen rubbed on her by Videl. “...maybe?” he answered with a shrug seeing Zangya wouldn’t let this go.

“Maybe?” Zangya repeated. “You don’t find her attractive?”

Gohan shrugged, “…I mean yeah, from what I can see Erasa is beautiful, funny, cheerful, and outgoing but I like someone who can keep up with me like you and V.”

“Really?” Zangya asked, looking at him slightly surprised. “Why?”

“Yeah.” Gohan nodded, “Raditz said it’s because Saiyans are specifically wired to loving a strong partner, either in power or will. Like you and V.”

“Hmm…good to know.” Zangya nodded, glancing at Erasa with a glint in her eyes.

“Why did you want to know that?” Gohan asked, “What are you planning?”

“No, reason. I’m not planning anything.” Zangya responded, as she resumed walking.

Gohan sighed and shook his head before following Zangya knowing that whatever she was planning he would know soon enough.

--

Gohan didn’t know how he got here but he knew it was Zangya’s fault, “You have to promise me you won’t go easy on Zangya just because she’s your girlfriend.” Erasa said from on top of his shoulders.

After everyone had put on sunscreen they lounged around the pool talking for a bit, Gohan had asked a few questions about what Orange Star High was like and about the classes and other things. Erasa answered everything enthusiastically and animatedly talking about the teachers, fellow classmates, what her favorite class were and more. While Videl chimed in occasionally but kept to herself mostly.

After talking about Orange Star for a while Zangya suggested they play a few games in the pool while the food was cooked. Vanadis didn’t let Gohan help with the cooking too much, saying that Gohan should enjoy himself. Erasa jumped at the idea of games dragging Videl along, they decided to play ‘Chicken’ Zangya had suggested the teams before anyone else could say anything it was Gohan and Erasa versus Zangya and Videl. Which is what led to Gohan’s current predicament Erasa sitting on his shoulders while he held her surprisingly soft and toned thighs.

“Come on Gohan promise me!” Erasa repeated, looking down at him.

Gohan tilted his head up to answer before having to look back down because as Gohan looked up, he noticed how little Erasa’s swimsuit covered her, “…Yeah, if you promise to do the same.” He answered, not looking up.

“Oh! Don’t worry Videl knows I won’t hold back.” Erasa answered.

“Are both teams ready!?” Vanadis asked, from where she would be refereeing.

“Yeah!” Erasa answered.

“You got it V!” Zangya answered when Videl didn’t say anything.

“…Ok. Start!” Vanadis said.

Gohan moved forward meeting Zangya in the middle as Videl and Erasa started their little battle on top, “You’re going down Videl!” Erasa grunted as she tried to push Videl down.

Videl didn’t answer as she pushed Erasa making Gohan step back to stabilize Erasa before she fell, but Zangya stepped forward following Gohan not giving them time to adjust or catch their breath. Gohan frowned because he knew it would be a hard fight for Erasa especially since Gohan knows how capable Videl is after witnessing her fight criminals in the city and with Zangya helping her it was more difficult.

They continued to fight for a while longer before Erasa eventually fell in the pool after Videl overpowered her, Erasa emerged from the pool a big grin on her face despite the loss the water dripping down her face, her blonde hair sticking to her face, her blue eyes shining with happiness. “Winner Zangya and Videl!” Vanadis called out.

“Yeah, sorry Babe but the best team won!” Zangya replied with a grin, “Nice job Videl.” She added holding a hand up for Videl who paused for a bit before giving her a high five.

Gohan chuckled at Zangya before turning to Erasa, who said, “Sorry we lost.”

Gohan just smiled at her, “It’s fine as long as we had fun.”

They played a second round but this time it was Gohan and Zangya versus Videl and Erasa which Gohan and Zangya won quickly beating Videl and Erasa much to their surprise but Erasa’s enjoyment, “Want to play something else?” Erasa asked.

“Food’s ready!” Vanadis called out.

“Maybe later, I should go help V, with the food.” Gohan said walking to the edge of the pool and lifting himself up.

“Sounds great!” Erasa replied, “I’m hungry.”

After helping Vanadis set the table they had outside, they all sat down and ate while talking about normal things, about school starting soon, what they were going to do the last few days of break and other normal things. Gohan enjoyed himself far more than he thought he would, after eating they played a few other games, like water volleyball, another game of ‘Chicken’ this time with Vanadis joining them.

They all enjoyed themselves eventually ending up lounging around in the pool. Gohan was on a lounge chair with Vanadis and Zangya resting against him while Erasa was in the pool in a floatie with a HeTap in the cup holder, Videl was laying on a circular floatie floating next to her.

“Did you enjoy yourself?” Zangya asked.

“Yeah.” Gohan answered with a smile, “Thanks for setting this up.” He added giving her a kiss.

“No problem, Babe.” Zangya responded grinning.

“Thanks for cooking, V.” Gohan added kissing Vanadis too.

“Of course.” Vanadis replied with a smile, “Are you ready for school?”

“…Yeah, I am, I’m looking forward to it.” Gohan answered with a smile on his face as he saw Erasa splash Videl who splashed her back after getting over her shock starting a splash fight between them.

As Gohan laid there the setting sun shining through the clear windows lighting everything up in an orange glow Gohan found himself looking forward to school starting in April. Gohan was even looking forward to fighting Cooler, thinking to himself that things were a little too peaceful lately and he wanted a little bit of action.

(AN: Here we go the last chapter before I officially move on to start the Buu Saga, like I said before I’ll mention a few day-to-day things about Gohan in school, but it won’t play too much into the story going forward. I will probably just do one chapter about Gohan in school before I start the set up for the Capsule Corp Tournament against Cooler and his men. Those chapters will take longer because I really want to make them worth it. So just a heads up and a thank you for the patience. I also hope you guys liked the little Hercule angle, when I first started writing this fic I told myself that I would stick with Gohan’s point of view but as I wrote more of it I realized that having these little shifts helped my story out so it’s why I’ve added them. Thank you for reading and if you spot any mistakes, please let me know.)
