Age 774, April 7th
“Come on…Gohan. You’ve faced The Ginyu Force, Frieza, an Android and Cell. Compared to all of that this should be simple.” Gohan muttered, staring at his reflection in the mirror, as he adjusted his outfit again. It was a long-sleeved white t-shirt, the cuffs rolled up to just under his elbows, jeans, black boots, a cropped black vest, secured by a golden buckle, and pinned to his shirt was his Orange Star High School badge.
Gohan was nervous about what was to come, it was his first day of school, he took a few deep breaths as he tried to calm himself. “Looking good babe!” Zangya replied walking into his bedroom, smile on her face.
“…You think so?” Gohan asked, looking at his reflection again.
“Absolutely.” Zangya said pulling him into a kiss, “It goes well with the new haircut. Which I love.” She added running her hands through it. Gohan had decided to cut his hair a few days ago, it was now styled in a short, spiky, and slightly messy fashion, standing mostly on end with a distinctive subtle bang over the right side of his forehead.
“…Thanks Z.” Gohan replied smiling at her softly returning her kiss.
“Anytime handsome.” Zangya replied smiling back, “Now hurry up and go see V, she’s made you breakfast.” She added giving him a slight push.
Gohan smiled as he walked out of his room, before he stopped and turned around, “I love you Zangya.” He said, smiling at her.
“…I love you too, Gohan.” Zangya replied smiling fondly at him, “Now go. Before I drag you into bed and make you miss for your first day.”
Gohan chuckled and headed towards the kitchen where he smelled Vanadis cooking before he entered the kitchen, “Good morning, V.” he replied entering and smiling at the sight of her wearing an apron and humming to herself as she cooked, he walked up to her and gave her a hug and kiss from behind.
“Good morning, Gohan.” Vanadis replied turning around to return his kiss, “Sit and eat breakfast, I made you plenty.”
Gohan smiled sat down and poured himself some freshly squeezed orange juice as Vanadis piled food on his plate, “Thank you.”
Vanadis nodded at him, “How do you feel?” she asked, sitting across from him.
“…Nervous.” Gohan answered after chewing his food.
“Really? Why?” Vanadis asked.
“…I don’t know, this is just different from anything I’ve ever done. Going to school is so much more different than fighting.” Gohan replied after thinking things over.
“What do you mean?” Vanadis asked.
“With fighting I know what to expect and how to react to situations. I let my instincts take over and react, but with school I have no idea what to expect or how to react to situations. My life hasn’t exactly been normal ever since I was four years old, hell I’m not exactly normal am I…what if I don’t fit in?” Gohan answered, looking up at Vanadis.
“…Gohan.” Vanadis replied eyes softening a bit.
“Is that stupid?” Gohan asked.
“No, it’s being human.” Vanadis replied standing up to pull her seat closer, “There’s nothing wrong with being nervous about doing something new. You’ve been through more than anyone your age should. You’ve been fighting life and death battles since you were four years old, you never really got a chance to experience something like this, going to school and hanging around with other people your age. It’s understandable to be nervous.”
“But I haven’t really done any real fighting in the past seven years, and I’ve done normal things with you and Z these last few years. Hell, we had a pool party with Erasa and Videl a few days ago.” Gohan replied.
“You have a point, and while we have been doing things together with you, this is still something you’ve never done, and no amount of training can prepare you for this especially considering you’ve been homeschooled for years.” Vanadis said kindly.
“…Then how do I stop feeling like this?” Gohan asked.
“By being yourself.” Vanadis replied smiling at him.
“R-really?” Gohan asked.
“Really.” Vanadis answered with a smile, “Just be the kind, gentle, smart Gohan, that Zangya and I love. The same Gohan who Goten, Trunks and Ginnie look up too and you can’t go wrong. You are already friends with Erasa, so you have one friend already.”
“…thanks V.” Gohan said, smiling feeling slightly better.
“Of course, that’s what I’m here for.” Vanadis said smiling, “Now hurry up and eat, or else you’re going to be late.”
“Right.” Gohan said, smiling and eating.
--
Gohan had kissed Zangya and Vanadis, goodbye, secured the lunch Vanadis packed for him, climbed onto his motorcycle and started his drive to school. Gohan sighed, feeling better, enjoying the wind rushing through his hair. The conversation he had with Vanadis, lifted a small weight off his shoulders he was still nervous, but he was looking forward to whatever Orange Star High had in store for him.
While waiting at a red light he heard the, all to familiar sounds of gunfire coming from nearby, he glanced at his watch and saw he had enough time to spare, and what better way to work off nerves than to stop some criminals. Gohan pulled into an alley, put away his motorcycle and then clicked his watch, transforming into the Golden Warrior. Gohan flew into the air following the sounds of gunfire where he came across another sight, he’s become too familiar with in this city. Bank robbers shooting at the police. Gohan did see that Videl was also arriving in her helicopter.
“The Golden Warrior is here!” A bank robber shouted, pointing at him, “We need to go now!”
Gohan nodded at Videl who nodded back at him before pointing behind him shouting, “Look Out!”
Gohan turned around to see one of the bank robbers had pulled out a rocket launcher and fired it at him, Gohan calmly lifted his hand up and used telekinesis to stop it and then redirect it into the sky away from everyone. Gohan landed on the ground and began fighting the bank robbers with Videl joining him a seconds later, “Hey, Golden Warrior!” Videl replied ducking under a gunmen’s wild swing and countering with a straight uppercut.
“Ms. Videl.” Gohan replied, while tilting his head to the side dodging a punch to counter with his own punch to the robber’s stomach. “Nice, punch.” He added with a smile as Videl punched a robber who was going to fire at them, but Gohan had grabbed the barrel of his gun and bent it upwards.
“Thanks!” Videl replied as she grabbed the arm of another robber who tried to stab them, Gohan kicked the robber into his partner. “Nice, kick.”
Gohan and Videl continued like this for a little while longer. Gohan would block an attack and Videl would counter, or Videl would block and Gohan would attack, working together they made quick work of the bank robbers. Once they were all taken down and loaded up in the back of separate police cars, Videl came up to him, “Thanks for the help. Golden Warrior.” She said, smiling at him.
“It was nothing Ms. Videl.” Gohan replied with a smile, before glancing at the large clock in town and noticing the time, he was cutting it close. “If you’ll excuse me, I need to go.” he said, nodding at her before he flew away heading towards school, he didn’t want to be late on his first day.
--
Gohan made sure no one was nearby before he landed on the roof of the school, where he quickly hid behind the rooftop exit and clicked his watch, transforming back into his normal clothes. “I’m cutting it close!” he muttered quickly going down the stairs two at a time and rushed towards his home room sending a silent thank you to Erasa for showing him around. Gohan entered the room with seconds to spare before the bell rang.
“Ah! You must be Mr. Son.” His homeroom teacher said, seeing Gohan.
“Yes, Sir.” Gohan replied.
“Cutting it a little close, aren’t you?” the homeroom teacher asked.
“S-sorry. There was a bank robbery going on so I had to take a different route.” Gohan replied, scratching the back of his head.
“Really?” the homeroom asked, tilting his head to look at Gohan.
Before Gohan could reply the door behind him sprang open, “S-sorry I’m late!” Videl exclaimed stepping in, “I had to help the police stop a bank robbery!” she explained.
“Yes, I’ve just been informed of the incident in question by Mr. Son here.” The homeroom teacher said, nodding his head at Gohan.
“W-what really!?” Videl asked, eyeing Gohan, who put down his hand that he was using to scratch the back of his head.
“Yes, he said that the reason he was almost late was because of a bank robbery forced him to take a longer route.” The homeroom teacher answered, eyeing Gohan for a good long while making Gohan scratch his cheek. “…Well, try not to make it a habit Mr. Son.”
“Of, course, Sir!” Gohan nodded.
“…Good, now Ms. Videl go to your seat.” The homeroom teacher said.
“Yes, sir.” Videl replied heading up to sit next to Erasa.
“Now, Mr. Son please introduce yourself.” The homeroom teacher said.
“R-right!” Gohan replied, clearing his throat and stepping forward, “My name is Gohan and…I’m looking forward to being here and getting to know you all.”
“Hmm…that’s good enough.” The homeroom teacher said, “Find a seat.”
“Gohan! Over here!” Erasa called out pointing at an empty seat next to her and Videl.
“T-thanks Erasa.” Gohan replied smiling at her as he made his way up towards the seat.
“No, problem. Zangya told me to help you out.” Erasa said smiling at him.
“S-she did?” Gohan asked sitting down next to her.
“Yup.” Erasa answered, smiling as she brushed her hair behind her ear. “Zangya said that you’ll probably feel a little nervous about everything, so I told her I’ll help you feel welcomed.”
“Thanks, Erasa.” Gohan replied with a smile. “Hey, Videl.” Videl didn’t answer but she did give him a slight nod.
“No, problem.” Erasa replied returning the smile, “Nice haircut.”
“I... thank you.” Gohan replied, scratching his cheek. “I felt like something new.”
“It suits you.” Erasa replied, running her hands through it and ruffling it making him blush. “Right Videl?” she asked turning to look at her.
Before Videl could answer someone cut in, “How do you two already know the new guy!?” a male student with long blonde hair, brown eyes and slightly muscular build asked, leaning back in his seat to look at them.
“The Director had me show him around a while ago and we hit it off. Right Gohan?” Erasa answered, smiling at him as she pulled her hand away at Videl’s glare.
“R-right, she gave me a tour of the school.” Gohan answered, his face was still red.
“Gohan’s pretty cool.” Erasa said, looking at the student.
“Hmm…well if Erasa says you’re cool, then that’s good enough for me. I’m Sharpner.” Sharpner said, nodding at Gohan.
“Nice to meet you too, Sharpner.” Gohan nodded back.
“Ok, settle down now.” Miss Hamilton said walking into the classroom. “Class is about to begin.”
--
Gohan was sitting outside under a tree eating the lunch Vanadis packed for him. Gohan could feel the stares of a few students on him from different areas of the courtyard, but he chose to ignore them and eat the delicious lunch Vanadis packed for him. The reason they were staring at him was because earlier in science class he had answered a question that left the teacher speechless because he wasn’t expecting someone to actually know the answer or to get it right. Now based on the looks he was getting, word had spread about what happened in science, and any hopes of Gohan making friends looked like they were gone, because he was told that nerds don’t really have friends.
Gohan didn’t know how to feel. It wasn’t his fault that his mom insisted he study so much that he could read and understand advanced subjects before he reached puberty. “Hey, Gohan!” Erasa called out waving at him, breaking him out of his thoughts. Gohan looked up to see her walking towards him with Videl walking a few steps behind her, “What are you doing out here all alone?”
“…I wanted to be alone for a bit.” Gohan answered, not wanting to dismiss her because she had been nothing but nice to him since he met her.
“Are you ok?” Erasa asked sitting down next to him.
Gohan didn’t verbally answer, deciding to just nod his head as he took a bite of the chicken and rice that Vanadis packed for him. “Hmm, are you sure?” Erasa asked unpacking her own lunch.
“…Yeah, it’s just a little too much.” Gohan answered after slowly chewing his food to think of a good answer.
“What is to much?” Erasa asked, tilting her head to look at him.
“…this.” Gohan gestured towards the courtyard with his chopsticks and as he did a few students looked away making Erasa frown at them.
“Is this about what happened in science?” Erasa asked, “Oh, don’t worry about that. So, what if you knew the answer to the question. I mean it makes sense with Bulma being your godmother and with how smart Vanadis is it makes sense you picked a few things up hanging around those two.” She added at his nod to her earlier question.
“…Really?” Gohan asked, looking at her.
“Yup! And if the others give you any problem let me know. I’ll sic Videl on them.” Erasa said smiling at him.
“Hey!” Videl exclaimed speaking up for the first time since she sat down, “I’m not some dog for you to sic on people.” She said glaring at Erasa.
“Aw…come on Videl.” Erasa said pulling her into a side hug pulling Videl’s face into her breasts, “You don’t like bullies and if one of your friends is experiencing bullying you won’t stand by and watch.”
“I…I can’t breathe!” Videl gasped struggling a bit before pushing Erasa off her, her face red in embarrassment. “Are you trying to kill me!” she added gasping for air while Erasa just laughed.
“Sorry. Videl.” Erasa laughed, “But come on, are you saying you wouldn’t put a few students in their place if you see them bullying someone you know.”
“…No.” Videl answered shaking her head, before looking at Gohan, “If anyone gives you any trouble let me know.”
“Really!?” Gohan asked looking at Videl in surprise.
“…Yeah, Erasa is right. I don’t like bullies.” Videl answered shrugging at Gohan, “So don’t think you’re special or anything.” She quickly added.
“…I won’t.” Gohan replied chuckling, “Thank you. Both of you.” he replied smiling at them.
“No, problem, that’s what friends are for!” Erasa said grinning at him, “Now did Vanadis cook this?” she asked eyeing the different trays of food Vanadis packed for him.
“Yeah. Why?” Gohan answered.
“Can I have some? I loved her cooking from the pool party.” Erasa asked.
“…Sure.” Gohan replied with a smile, he didn’t mind since Vanadis had packed more than enough. Gohan chuckled watching Erasa close her eyes and smile as she took a bite out of the meal Vanadis made for him. Sitting under this tree with a few leaves raining down Gohan felt a little better about the rest of day now.
--
“Holy Shit Dude!” Sharpner exclaimed, eyes wide.
“What!?” Gohan asked, turning and noticing the other male students staring at him.
They were in the male changing room for PE and Gohan had taken off his shirt to change, “You’re shredded!” Sharpner replied pointing at him.
“Oh! Yeah, I guess I am.” Gohan replied looking down at himself.
“You guess!?” Sharpner exclaimed, “Dude you look like you can bench press a bus!”
“…It’s not that impressive.” Gohan replied, scratching the back of his head.
“Dude, I thought you were just a nerd, but it’s clear that you hit more than books.” Sharpner said, chuckling.
“Y-yeah, I work out occasionally.” Gohan said, pulling on his long-sleeved PE shirt.
“We should hit the gym together.” Sharpner said to Gohan.
“Come on boys, hurry up.” The Coach said, entering the room saving Gohan from having to come up with an excuse.
“Let’s talk about this later.” Sharpner said, as he and the others finished changing.
“Right.” Gohan nodded as he walked outside with the group to see the girls waiting.
The Coach led them to a baseball field, where he split them off into teams, Sharpner was on one and Gohan was on the other with Videl and Erasa, “Do you know how to play?” Videl asked Gohan as they walked towards the field.
“Yeah, I was taught by a family friend.” Gohan answered, putting on his cap and pulling on his glove.
“…ok, then you’re in right field.” Videl replied, nodding at him.
“Right, got it.” Gohan replied smiling at her as he walked towards right field.
The game started off with Sharpner’s team batting first, Videl was the pitcher for her team. They played one inning without a team scoring and surprisingly no balls hit towards Gohan. When the second inning started the first batter struck out but the second batter managed to hit the ball towards left field, and they made it to third base before anyone could get the ball back.
The next person to bat was Sharpner, “One more and you’re out.” Videl grinned, she had managed to get two strikes on him already.
“We’ll see.” Sharpner replied, tightening his hold on the bat and shifting his stance a little.
Videl gripped the ball tightly and threw it fast enough that her cap fell off, but Sharpner still managed to hit the ball high in the air it looked like it would be a homerun. But unfortunately for Sharpner he hit the ball towards Gohan, who jumped high into the air to catch it. While in the air Gohan saw the runner on third was off base, “Yamcha said that if someone catches a hit and a runner is off base, I can toss it to the baseman and if they catch it before the runner makes it back that means the runner is out.” He muttered to himself, “Ok, here we go, Gohan. Nice and slow.” He added throwing the ball towards the third baseman quickly adjusting to using just the tip of his finger.
Even with that small adjustment the ball still rocketed towards the third basemen, but he still managed to catch it and stay on base, “…that’s third and out!” The umpire on third shouted after recovering enough to call the play.
“Crapbaskets. Did I over do it!?” Gohan wondered as he landed and noticed that everyone was staring at him in shock.
“That was beautiful Gohan. You must have jumped twenty-five feet in the air” The Coach said, nodding at him as the teams’ switched places.
“It was nothing…just beginners’ luck.” Gohan replied chuckling nervously scratching his cheek. “I got some new shoes.”
“R-right?” The Coach replied, eyeing him skeptically. “Alright switch sides.”
“Crapbaskets! I thought learning sports with Yamcha would let me blend in better. But I forgot that I’m still playing with normal people.” Gohan thought, as he sat down.
“Hey! You’re up.” One of his classmates said pointing.
“Oh, right! Thanks!” Gohan answered picking a bat and walking towards Homeplate, “I want to play but I don’t want to draw unnecessary attention. Man, how did Yamcha do this? Well, that’s why he had to retire because… Crapbaskets!” he mentally shouted, in his distracted state he hadn’t noticed Sharpner had thrown the ball, which was flying straight towards his head.
In a stroke of unsuspecting luck Gohan accidentally swung and bunted the ball hitting it with enough force allowing it to count as a hit and it traveled far enough for Gohan to make it to first base before anyone could react. Once everyone got over the fact that Gohan had somehow made it to first base the game continued. The next person hit it hard and well enough to let Gohan get to third and the batter to get to second. Then it was Videl’s turn to bat and despite getting two strikes she managed to hit a nice grounder which let her get to first and Gohan to run in for a score. The game ended with Gohan’s team winning one to zero.
--
School was finally over and Gohan was packing his bag looking forward to leaving, Gohan just let the sounds of the other students in the hallway talking about the day and other normal things wash over him. Gohan sighed to himself, thinking that today was an ok day besides the few incidents. He felt like he needed some normalcy, so he sent his mom a message to let her know he was going to stop by Mt. Paozu, he felt like seeing her and Goten. Then he sent a message to Vanadis and Zangya to let them know that he was going to see his mom and brother after school.
“Hey, Gohan! Wait up!” someone called out to him.
Gohan turned to see Sharpner walking towards him, “What’s up?” Gohan asked when Sharpner got close enough.
Sharpner looked a little embarrassed before he cleared his throat, “Look…I’m sorry about what happened in PE today.”
“What are you talking about?” Gohan asked, tilting his head to the side.
“…About almost hitting you in the face.” Sharpner answered looking at him.
“…Oh! that’s fine it was an accident.” Gohan waved it off, “I should have been paying attention to the game. I’m just lucky I managed to hit it.” he chuckled.
“…no, it’s not fine.” Sharpner replied shaking his head, “I can get a little… competitive and when you caught my ball I got frustrated. Then I tried to embarrass you by making you duck my pitch. It was wrong of me, and I needed to apology for my actions, you could have gotten hurt over my anger. It’s an issue I’ve been working on.”
Gohan scratched the back of his head, “…Like I said it’s fine. I didn’t get hurt.”
“I…you’re really not mad?” Sharper asked.
“No.” Gohan answered shaking his head, “It’s alright.” He added smiling.
“Huh…well, it doesn’t matter I still have to say it again. I’m sorry.” Sharpner said, holding his hand out.
“…I accept your apology.” Gohan replied, shaking Sharper’s hand.
“Thanks.” Sharpner, said looking a little better, “Hey, have you thought about joining in sports teams?”
“Not, really.” Gohan replied.
“Well, you should consider it, especially with how well you did today. I think you’ll be very good at it.” Sharpner said, nodding at him.
“I’ll consider it.” Gohan replied nodding at him.
“Ok, see you around.” Sharpner said, nodding back before leaving.
Gohan walked out of the school and took out a Hover Jet dinocap. Vanadis built it and it wasn’t on the market yet; he climbed in it and took off flying towards Mt. Paozu, smiling at the message his mom sent saying that she would cook up a feast. It didn’t take too long for him to reach Mt. Paozu, the new Hover Jet was very fast, cutting the normal travel time down in half. While flying he did notice that it might be to much for a normal human would be able to handle, he’ll let Vanadis know when he sees her so she could adjust it.
Gohan landed the Hover Jet outside the house, he had just enough time to put the Hover Jet in its dinocap before he sensed two people making their way towards him fast, that was all the warning Gohan got before the shout. “Big Brother!” Gohan quickly turned around and caught Goten who had launched himself into the air.
“Hey, Goten.” Gohan grunted a bit from the force of Goten launching himself at him, “How are you doing?”
“I’m great, now that you’re here.” Goten replied, smiling as Gohan hugged him.
“That’s great.” Gohan said, “Hey, Ginnie. How are you doing?” he asked looking at her standing nearby.
“I’m good.” Ginnie answered, walking over to him and hugging him.
“That’s good.” Gohan said, happily giving her a side hug, “What did you guys do today?” he asked walking towards the house while still carrying Goten.
“Mom had me do my homework, which was really boring. But Ginnie helped me and I finished really fast and then I got to play in the lake, I caught plenty of fish.” Goten answered quickly never losing his smile.
“That sounds like fun. Goten.” Gohan replied smiling at him.
“Yeah, it was really fun.” Goten said nodding his head.
“I trained with dad and Piccolo today after finishing my homework and helping Goten with his.” Ginnie said, when Gohan glanced at her.
“That’s great. Thanks for helping him.” Gohan replied smiling at her.
“That’s what family is for right?” Ginnie said, shrugging.
“Heh, yeah, at least Goten has you. I had to figure out all that stuff out by myself.” Gohan chuckled as they entered the house, “Hey, mom I’m home.” He smiled as the smell of all the delicious food she was cooking hit him.
“Gohan!” Chi-Chi said, leaving the stove to come over to hug him. “How was your first day of school?”
“It…it was ok.” Gohan answered, putting Goten down to return her hug.
“Just, ok?” Chi-Chi asked, glancing up at him.
“Yeah, we’ll talk later during dinner, ok?” Gohan replied.
“…ok.” Chi-Chi nodded as she returned to the stove to stir the pot.
“What are you making?” Gohan asked.
“Rice, Noodles, Meat on the bone, you know the usual.” Chi-Chi replied, as she stirred the pot of ramen.
“It smells delicious mom.” Gohan said, sitting down at the kitchen table.
“Of course, I only make the best for my sons.” Chi-Chi replied smiling at him, “Your aunt and uncle should be coming over as well.”
“That’s great. The more the merrier.” Gohan said, smiling. “Zangya and Vanadis said they would come too, they’re bringing desert.”
“That’s perfect! It will be good to have the house full.” Chi-Chi replied, smiling to herself.
“Yeah, do you need any help?” Gohan asked.
“No, I’m almost done, and your aunt is making the other half so just sit and relax.” Chi-Chi answered.
“Ok, I’ll get started on my homework while you cook dinner.” Gohan replied, taking out his homework and sitting in the living room, next to Goten and Ginnie, who were watching tv.
“Ok, I’ll let you know when everything is ready.” Chi-Chi said.
--
The sound of clinking plates, and conversation filled the air with the strong aroma of food, the kitchen table was filled with various foods, and the seats around the table were full. “So, Gohan how was your first day of school?” Good Launch asked, passing Ginnie the plate of rice.
“…It was ok.” Gohan answered with a shrug.
“Just, ok?” Zangya asked, grabbing the plate of noodles from Chi-Chi.
“It was hard for me to pay attention to class.” Gohan answered.
“Why?” Goten asked.
“It’s probably because after years of battle and moving. It’s hard for you to sit still.” Raditz said.
“Not really, well not entirely.” Gohan answered, taking the plate of meat from Vanadis.
“Then why?” Ginnie asked.
“…I think, it’s mostly because, I already knew most of the material covered, thanks to the years of studying I did as a kid. So, I found the classes a little boring.” Gohan answered.
“I had a feeling something like this would happen.” Vanadis replied.
“Really?” Gohan asked, turning to look at her.
“Yes, you’ve been able to read and understand advanced textbooks since you were a child, and there’s also the fact that you’ve been able to keep up and help Bulma and Dr. Briefs in the lab and you have helped me with my experiments so it stands to reason that you would be at a higher level than most High Schoolers.” Vanadis explained.
“I’ve said it before my son is a genius.” Chi-Chi said with a big grin.
“Aw…come on mom no I’m not.” Gohan replied, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
“Stop that, Gohan.” Vanadis said looking at him, sternly making him and others look at her.
“Stop what?” Gohan asked, looking at her.
“I’ve told you before I don’t like it when you put yourself down.” Vanadis answered.
“…I’m not. I just don’t think I’m a genius compared to you and Bulma.” Gohan replied.
“Gohan.” Vanadis said reaching out to take his hand, “You created the Capsule Phone at 11 years old…I’m not finished.” She said putting a finger to his lips to stop him from interrupting, “Yes, you had help but you still created the plans for it, let’s not forget that you helped build your own lab, you’ve built some of your own training equipment and so much more. And as I’ve mentioned before you’ve helped Bulma, Dr. Briefs and me countless times in the lab with our own experiments. That’s not something a normal person can do. You. Are. A. Genius. and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.” she said looking straight into his eyes, with so much conviction, that his reply got caught in his throat. Gohan looked into her eyes and saw that she meant every word, Gohan didn’t trust himself to speak so he just nodded which made her smile.
“Damn V.” Zangya whispered, breaking the silence that fell over the table.
“What?” Vanadis replied, turning to see that everyone was looking at her.
“That was hot.” Zangya said. “That was beautiful.” Chi-Chi and Good Launch said at the same time, the three women looked at each other before breaking into smiles.
Vanadis blushed a little but maintained her composure and cleared her throat, saying, “Let’s eat before the food gets cold.” This made everyone laugh as they started eating and making conversation.
Gohan smiled as he watched his family eating, talking and joking, he felt warmth in his chest, he may still have some doubts about school, but he knew that his family was with him no matter what and that’s what really mattered to him.
_____
(AN: Here’s Gohan’s first day of school. I hope you guys liked it. I was planning on going into a bit more detail about the classes, but I changed my mind, deciding to focus on the classes they covered in the anime. I hope I captured everything well enough for you guys. The first half of the next chapter will have a bit of normal school related and Golden Warrior stuff mentioned before I move on to finish up the school related stuff before going forward to the set up for the Capsule Corp Tournament or C.C. Tournament. There will be two more chapters before the start of C.C. Tournament.
For Gohan’s new haircut I used his haircut from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, I liked it and decided to use it. Until next time, thank you for reading. And if you spot any mistakes, please let me know.)
