Chapter 1 - Sleeping memories

In the year 39,032 UCC (Unified Creator Callander of course), a man and woman were playing on their phones while walking down a street on the newly created planet earth.

 

Bang!
I felt my blood boiling as everything slowed around us. A trace of fear could be seen on the face of my girlfriend who was about to be hit by a truck.

What is wrong with me why can I move, what is so different. The moment I push Aura out of the way, I feel a surge of relief.

 

All of a sudden, I heard a crunching sound and everything went black. Although I could feel my life slipping away, something remained hidden inside of the darkness.

 

Neither it felt dangerous nor strange to me. It was like seeing a familiar face on a familiar street.

 

My attempt to move toward the presence was interrupted by a bright light that surrounded me before I could even grasp the ancient-looking book.

 

Among the splendors of a magnificent hall sat an old-looking man seated on a golden throne. I could feel his presence and couldn't help but shiver.

 

"I am choosing you to be a new creator god."

 

My mind couldn't help but reply to the old man about Aura. Would it be possible for me to ask you a question, my Lord?"

 

"Yes Nathan, I know you must have many questions about why you were chosen."

 

"No my Lord, you are mistaken. My question is about my girlfriend who was in the accident with me."

 

Immediately after looking at me with an unimpressed look, he piped up. "Ah, you're wondering if she survived?"

 

With a timid expression, I nodded before he spoke once more with a horrid-looking smile. "What would you say if I told you she was dead just like you were?"

 

Zeus smiled once again as he spoke in anger. "Nathan, my boi I am not evil, but I can offer a fair trade. The destruction of your soul to revive her."

 

Looking at him with shock I responded without an inch of hesitation. "Why would my soul allow her revival."

 

His annoying grin grew into a spiteful smile before staring at me like complete trash he told me the answer. "I can choose you or her to become a god, but since you have begun your evolution and to stop it now will kill you."

 

Before he could finish I interrupted. "I accept"

 

Hearing it was me or her I only had one choice. "You sadly passed Nathan, but remember if you ever hurt her you will not live to see another day."

 

After saying this my body began to feel pain like it was being torn apart. I heard a strange voice before everything stopped.

Aura POV

 

Running through the hallway of a large palace holding a bloodied mess of a body was a beautiful elven girl. Her golden hair was now stained in crimson and her golden eyes were now misted with tears.

 

After the accident Aura was surprised to see Nathan was hit by the car instead of her. She could feel her heart cracking as she carried her dead lover's body through her father's palace. Before she could enter the inner sector of the palace she was stopped by two arch angels.

 

"Move out of my way now!" Aura tried to avoid the two angels blocking her path, but she suddenly felt a blade against her throat.

 

"Young goddess, you may not enter here without your father's permission."

 

"Since when did I need my Father's permission to enter a place that should be my home"

 

Looking at Aura like she was a complete dunce one of the angels spoke more forcefully this time. "It's fine for you to pass but not the corpse you are carrying. You're a princess and should understand basic imperial etiquette."

 

Sudden killing intent shot out and the angels began to cower in fear.

Feeling Aura's wrath both knew they had angered the goddess. Even though they had threatened her they both knew they would be unlikely to defeat her.

 

Aura's mumbles began to become darker and darker as she looked at the two in front of her before shouting in pure rage.

"Corpse, you dare call my Nathan a F*cking corpse."

 

Aura swung her leg towards the nearest angel but it was easily stopped by another elven goddess. This woman looked like a more mature version of Aura with even longer hair.

 

Gaia spoke in a comforting voice while glaring at the angels behind her."My daughter, what happened?"

 

Before Aura could speak Gaia couldn't help but gasp. Looking at the dead boy in her daughter's arms, she couldn't help but shudder.

 

Gods can turn rogue and could easily become corrupted if they refuse to follow their creator. Nathan lying dead in Aura's arms might push Aura over to become a corrupted god.

 

Female elves are not very righteous gods. They become too attached to their lover and will only listen to them. The most significant point is that they are willing to kill or destroy entire worlds if it means getting them back.

 

Gaia has no choice but to act to calm Aura down before someone attempts to manipulate her.

 

With tears running down her face she cried into her mother's shoulders. "M-m-m-my N-n-Nathan got killed. That bastard killed him, killed, killed, killed, killed."

 

Gaia hearing her daughter's speech become more and more crazed Gaia hugged the crying elf before telling her words of comfort. "It's ok my daughter you know your father can easily fix this situation. So be calm now, it's ok."

 

Gaia glared at the two arrogant angels before walking past with the young couple.

 

After the two goddesses walked past the two angels gulped knowing their lives may be over. They hadn't known the young man in Aura's arms was her partner. Most knew of the elven people's peculiarities. That's why they were given the name forest stalkers. Female elves would only have one partner in their lives and would act extremely violent if something happened to their spouse.

 

That's the reason Zeus has never liked to allow the elven people to become true gods.

 

Entering Zeus's office he was stunned to see a flying Aura pulling everything off his desk. "Dad my Nathan, my Nathan."

 

Seeing the boy who took his favorite daughter from him dead he couldn't help but smile a bit before being stabbed in the leg by Gaia. After thinking about it Zeus came to the same conclusion as Gaia.

 

"It's ok Aura, I will fix his body and get death to return his soul... Done see!"

 

With a happy Aura laying on the desk with her Nathan she quickly fell asleep in a dumbfounded room.

 

Inside the office were two duke-ranked creators who were meeting with Zeus. Neither was happy but as they began to complain Zeus blasted them out of the room while setting up a sound formation.

 

"Both of you shut up! You don't understand how serious this matter could have become!"

 

Duke Ares spoke with confusion written on his face. "My lord what do you mean and shouldn't you be upset that lady Aura is now sleeping with a man on your desk."

 

With a sour expression, Zeus spoke. "Yes I am but her mother knows he is a good man and will look after her no matter what. He is the partner my daughter has chosen and to try to change it now or to take him away from her will just make her go rogue."

 

Duke Pandora spoke with an angry tone. "If she dares go rogue we will just put the rebellious welp down as we have done in the past, cough, cough, cough."

 

With his eyes burning Zeus grabbed Pandora's throat. "Don't ever speak about my daughter like she is an animal. She is my precious daughter and I will never betray her. If my actions force her to rebel then that is my fault."

 

Ares spoke trying to calm Zeus before he accidentally killed Pandora. "My lord, I think he meant if she was to harm your people and lose herself. He was also concerned because she has been acting strangely of late probably due to her love for this mortal."

 

Letting him go before telling them to leave he spoke to Gaia in the spare office next door.

 

"What happened Gaia?"

 

"I'm not sure Zeus, I felt a strong killing intent to find Aura about to kill an Arch angel who was stopping her from passing."

 

"Fools, they should know I will have their heads, but let's look at the records to see what happened first."

 

While loading up the records they noticed a strange important notification.

"I knew Aura had given that boy the game but it's unbelievable someone who wasn't on our list managed to achieve this. I doubt even Aura would have been able to do so."

 

"Zeus I know, but you know you will be forced to uphold it, especially if Aura knows about it."

 

"I know Gaia, Ok I will freeze time around the boy for now and we better call Aura after."

 

Viewing the records once again they noticed the day started with the pair leaving their home to go to work. Nathan had teased Aura about some sort of deal.

 

They had completed their work and Aura was all flustered before everything went black. This should be impossible, how did the records get sealed inside my universe.

 

Sending Angels to investigate Zeus began to make preparations while Gaia spoke to Aura. Aura had said that one minute Nathan was in front of her and the next second she was on the floor with him crushed under the car.

 

She out of rage destroyed the truck and ran here through the portal at her work.

Aura began to pester Zeus about Nathan getting the achievement. She wished to go with him and he was forced to agree.

 

Zeus had a requirement before she would be able to become Nathan's goddess of magic. He wish to give him a test to make sure he would put her safety over his even when he would know he would lose everything.
