The views opened up gradually and the azure sky and the endless sea appeared in sight!
"Where am I?"
Raine could only feel his head hurting. There seemed to be a huge disconnect between the information he had gathered so far and his memories.
"No, I'm dead, aren't I?" The last image Raine could recall was falling drunk into a lake and drowning, after which there was a series of painful struggles, suffocation, and blurred consciousness...
He should still be in the water with the sensations coming from his body. Except, how did he get to the sea? Did the bottom of the lake has a passage to the sea?
Also, why could he float on the surface of the water? He couldn't swim. Was it the high density of salt water that made him buoyant?
Why hadn't he died?
A headache.
With a long sigh, Raine tried to move his head. But bizarrely, he couldn't feel his arms and legs.
After Realizing this, Raine's mind stopped for half a second! This was definitely not a good sign! Could it be paraplegia?
He tried to look up to check his body.
Next, his perspective shifted to a top-down view ... which was bizarre. It felt like a shooter's first-person view switching to a third-person view!
Undoubtedly, this is not supposed to be a human's ability!
The scarier part is yet to come! After seeing his "body", Raine was completely stunned.
"What! Where's my head? Where are my limbs? Where is my body? Where is my brother? Why the fuck, there's only a row of rafts!"
It was beyond scary, It's so terrible.
Raine took whole three days to come to terms with reality.
He was not riding on this raft in a soul state, He could clearly feel the water flow beneath him and the state of each bamboo, even see the fish passing underwater.
He was this raft!
"I get it. I've been fucking reborn as a raft!"

Plus 5% isn't nearly enough(it would basically just be the rocky and himalayas mountains), 20-30% of the land left would be more enjoyable imo(leave more room for lower mountain chains) :/ It's your world though, so maybe this was a different earth from ours.
Yea, it's not realistic, sea level would need to rise like 2500 meters for 5% of land to be left. I guess another explanation could be numerous ice asteroids hitting Earth over the course of 300 years or something, tho even that would be pushing it as massive amounts of water is needed to increase sea level by 2500 meters.
Tho, if it happened in the course of more than 300 years, i'm guessing flora would slowly creep up the once rocky mountains as temperatures and atmospheric pressure becomes viable for life. Or well, tons of soil would most likely be slowly migrated by humans in more than 300 years to keep the agriculture going anyways. Ofc, i'm over simplifying it as i can't even begin to guess what kind of devastating weather events such a world filled with so much water would bring about, and if it would even be viable for life on the remaining landmass.
Anyways, in such a world there would basically be 2 continents left, albeit small compared to the continents we have today, they can still somewhat be called continents in this new world as they are still way too big to be just islands. You can't exactly call a landmass as big as half of Europe, and another one 1/4th of Europe, islands after all. The rest would be scattered islands of various size, most of them grouped in chains, the remains of some mountain lines, and some lone ones scattered around the world.

The water could also rise because of meteor.
Mountain could have been level with nuke...
Some mountain also make with ice layer and not fully rock and dirt....
Some mountain got wash away as the ice melted!!!
The main cause of losing land mass is the ice melted and there probably thousands more way for land mass to go away...

Why are we arguing of the logic of the earth flooding in a world where the main character gets reincarnated as a boat with a weird evolution system that defies all logic.
Because the author said this is earth in 300 years. If he had said it was a different planet or an alternative earth we shouldn't be discussing it.
