CHAPTER 4: HIGHSCHOOL EXAM!

The next day, Mo Fan went home and started studying again. Thanks to his pendant and the Grimoire of Magic Formations his understanding towards magic was more in depth than the others. He knew about the principles of all the elements there were in today’s time because of the magic formations.

Mo Fan was studying like a madman. He was absolutely focused inside his books to worry about anything else.

Whether he was eating, shiting or attending school he would always have a book in his hand. The teachers were also impressed by Mo Fan’s dedication to his studies, so they didn’t interrupt him and let him do his thing and just like this he continued to study 16Hours a day for 100 days straight.

Mo Fan’s appearance now was exactly the same as a homeless person on the side of the road. He didn’t care for his appearance or any other thing as he focused solely on studying.

“Mo Fan, I think you should take a break now.” Mo Jiaxing said to Mo Fan who was holding his book while eating dinner.

“Huh? What do you mean?” Mo Fan asked while being confused.

“What I meant was, at least focus on eating your food. Look at your appearance and your body! You have grown so weak; you look like a twig. You’ve already done all you can in these 3 months. Just take a break these 16 days and be at your top condition while taking the exam and for God’s sake cut your hair!” Mo Jiaxing replied.

He was seeing the effort Mo Fan was putting into his studies. He knew that no matter how much Mo Fan studied in these 3 months he just cannot complete all his 9 years’ worth of compulsory magic education.

“I know your worried about me but please let me give it my all so that I won’t have any regrets about the end results. Don’t worry I will take a 5day break before the Final Exam.” Mo Fan reassured Mo Jiaxing as he closed his book and focused on eating his food.

Seeing his determination, Mo Jiaxing was taken by a surprise! His immature son was now all grown up. He would always have to clean up his mess after him when he was a child but now Mo Fan’s firm decision made him look more like an adult! He was taking a first step towards his own future with his own hands.

_No matter the end result, I will always support your decision_ Mo Jiaxing looked at Mo Fan with teary eyes. He was the happiest person right at this very moment!

Time passed quickly; 16 days flew past in a flash~

Today was the day of the exams which will decide Mo Fan’s and all the student’s future career in magic. Mo Fan had prepared to his utmost best, he had finished studying all the books related to his exams. Now was the judgement time.

Mo Fan had arrived at Tian Lan Magic High School to give his exams. This was the only Magic High with high class facilities in all of Bo City!

A Magic High School is a place where students are trained to be Mages, it is a place where you awaken your first magic element! It is a place which will nurture the students into respectable mages.

The exam was schedule to start at 7:00am, the time right now was 6:30am. There was still half an hour before the start of the exam.

Mo Fan arrived at his designated classroom according to his hall ticket! The classroom was huge! There were at least 100 desks.

Mo Fan sat down at the last and highest row in his desk which represented his number. Mo Fan was sitting all alone in such a huge classroom, he was having butterflies in his stomach. He closed his eyes and calm down and focused on what he had learned up till now.

Soon other students also arrived one by one, and the classroom was filled with 100 students including him!

A Fat teacher quickly arrived at the classroom and wiped his forehead sweat.

“Ok Everyone quiet down, I’m your supervisor for the next 3 hours! Your First Paper will be Magic Beast Ecology! Everyone, All the best for your exam and I hope to see many of your faces here from next spring as well!” The teacher said as he passed the answer sheets along with the question bank.

“Ok then Your time starts NOW!”

Evening 6:30pm…

The parents outside of the school were filled with worry. It didn’t matter whether they were having exams on Magic, or Science, the parents of children were still coming to pick them up; those who drove cars came in cars and those who drove pedicab came in pedicabs. This was because the parents were very clear on the fact that the exams this time were going to decide whether their children would come in cars to pick up the next generation, or in pedicabs.

As Mo Fan walked out of the exam room, he saw the endless streams of people, and in his heart, he thought, “Why are there cars and electric scooters in a Magic World?” He walked out as he was puzzled over this, but his thoughts quickly returned back to the contents of the exams.

After 116 days and nights of studying hard and giving his all in his exams, Mo Fan felt as if a weight had been lifted off his chest. He had written all the answers to the question and done his utmost best. Now it was time for his long awaited 3 months break! The results are said to be announced at the end of next month.

“Mo Fan, Mo Fan...” Among the crowd, a middle-aged man looked toward Mo Fan with his left hand raised above his head.

As Mo Fan saw this familiar face, he accidentally called out, “Father, why did you come here?”

“To pick you up of course. After you’ve finished your exams, you have basically graduated, and besides I’m not the only one here” As he said this, he turned towards the two beautiful girls waiting beside a black car.

“Mo Fan!” A cool beauty who came near him while pushing the wheelchair of a beautiful fairy arrived in front of him.

“Brother Mo Fan, great job! You finally finished all your exams!” Ye Xinxia exclaimed happily as she congratulated Mo Fan!

“You guys also came?! What a surprise, it’s been so long since I saw you both!” Mo Fan was extremely happy to see them. He quickly went and gave both of them a big hug!

“Now that we’re all here let’s go!” Mo Qing said.

“Huh? Go where?” Mo Fan asked

“To celebrate your graduation of course!” Mo Qing said happily as she carried Ye Xinxia into her car and sat in the driver’s seat.

“I didn’t know you owned a car” Mo Fan said as he looked at brand new black Sedan~

 It looked very expensive!

“Of course, you didn’t, I bought it just 2 months ago, after all!” Mo Qing replied.

They all sat in her car as she drove them all to her 4-star restaurant. They ate delicious food and had a wonderful time together. For the first time in a long while Mo Fan actually enjoyed himself, after all ever since he arrived in this world it’s been nothing but hard work!
