Zhang Xiaohou noticed the frustrated mood of Mo Fan, even though he wasn’t showing it. He quickly changed the topic, “Brother Fan, enough about magic! Let’s go to the PC café and play PUBG!”

Zhang Xiaohou looked just like a little kid with sparkling eyes when he said this.

Mo Fan who was frustrated at his helplessness suddenly felt dumb to be worried about things that weren’t in his control. His seriousness broke out in a carefree smile, “Sure buddy, let’s go~”

Mo Fan and Zhang Xiaohou played in the PC café till late in the evening until they finally bade each other farewell.

He discovered that the people of this world didn’t knew the concept of gun.

“There are still a lot of things which I don’t know about this world. I need to hurry up and adapt to the changes.”

The fairy tales of this world were also a lot different than compared to the harmless and innocent ones he knew about! He felt like having a headache when he read that Cinderella became a Fire Mage with the help of Fairy Godmother and burnt her Stepmother into ashes and happily ruled the kingdom thereafter.

“How can people allow these stories to be published?!” Is what he thought when he first read it.

Tian Lan Magic Highschool…

A special one and only magic high school in the entirety of Bo City, which only took in one batch of 1500 students for the next 3 years.

This is the place where the student will awaken their first magic element of their life! And then they will be trained for the next three years until they become respectable mages who will help the society.

In short, this was a place which will decide the future of the students!

Right now, the last batch had just graduated and the faculty in charge of theory were checking the exam papers of the students who will soon be enrolled in this school!

“Principal Zu! Quick check this paper out!” A woman who looked like she was in her 30’s was checking a certain exam paper, suddenly got up and barged into the principal’s cabin without hesitation!

“Mrs. Hua, how many times have I told you to knock before coming insi…” Principal Zu was not angry, instead he was just exasperated at this woman.

“Now is not the time for that, brother! Hurry up and look at this exam paper!” Mrs. Hua not only barged into his office, but she also mercilessly cut him off and shoved the exam paper on his face!

“Wah! What are you doing! Stop! I’ll look okay, so stop pushing the paper inside my mouth!” He was actually struggling to push his damn elder sister away!

_How does she have that much strength! This barbaric woman hasn’t changed even a little since we were kids!_

He took the paper from her hands and started to read it! Soon his expression shifted. His eyes widened and his mouth became agape. He suddenly became hell bent on reading the whole paper!

After 5min he put the paper down with a wide mouth! He was shocked!

“Is the person writing this paper really a student?! His knowledge regarding Magic is… So Deep and Vast!”

“Hehe! I knew you would say that! I’m taking this kid with me, back to my Clan!” She suddenly declared with an annoying smirk!

“What No! You can’t do that!” Principal Zu suddenly snapped.

“Huh? And why exactly can’t I do that? To a kid from boonies, it will be an opportunity to grow and prosper! Compared to your puny school, the facilities I provide will be far more beneficial to him” Her eyes were glowing with a purple light as she was speaking.

Principal Zu was intimidated, but he still didn’t back down, “You’re not seeing the bigger picture! This kid who wrote the paper is truly hidden gem! If you provide everything for him from the start then instead of shinning brightly, it might have an opposite effect and stunt his growth!”

Listening to his words, the purple light from her eyes slowly dimmed. Now that she thought about it, it did make sense, but, “Then what will you do if this kid was discovered by people from a Criminal Group, like the Black Vatican? What will you do if they got their hands on him?”

“Well… That’s… Sigh, there is that possibility that I cannot rule out, but I don’t think there is any threat of that happening here in this harmless and peaceful town. Besides as long as we’re here, that kid will be safe” Principal Zu said

“Now, for the next three years we just need to watch over him and nurture him into a respectable and honourable mage. Besides, power earned by oneself is far more precious than the one provided by others!” he said with smirk.

“…Agh! Fine you win. Sigh… I thought I finally had a nice present for my husband… Anyways I’m going back to my clan! I’ve spent enough time playing outside so they want me back.” Ms. Hua said

“Huh? Seriously?! Thank God! I thought they’d never call you back!” Principal Zu heaved a sigh of relief when he heard this good news!

“Shut up! Anyways, keep me posted on this Dark Horse! I want to witness with my own eyes how far he can go on his own! Oh, right! Speaking of what’s the name of the kid?” Mrs. Hua suddenly asked.

“You… Sigh, forget it, (I made the right call, not handing him over to you) It’s…”

“Brother Mo Fan! You look really handsome in this shirt! Ah, that shirt over there might also look nice on you. Here try these on as well!” Ye Xinxia was happily choosing clothes for Mo Fan, when she suddenly gave him 4-5 more shirts to try on.

_Ah… I want to sit down! I have been standing for 3hours now!_ Mo Fan lamented on his choice of picking a shopping mall as a place to go for his date with Ye Xinxia. He forgot how hyped she gets when choosing clothes for him.

“Here, Xinxia I’ve tried it on! …? huh? Where is she?” Mo Fan opened the changing room’s curtain to let her see how he looked but she was nowhere to be seen.

He searched around the store but still couldn’t find her, “Excuse me Miss, have you seen a long black-haired girl on a wheelchair?”

Mo Fan saw a clerk, so he went and asked her, since she was nowhere to be seen.

“Oh, yes. She went near the vending machine just 10min ago, it’s just right around the corner.” The Clerk said with a business-like smile and pointed towards the direction of the vending machine.

“Thank You very much!” Mo Fan thanked her and quickly dashed towards the direction.

Because of Ye Xinxia’s disability, a lot of things which seemed easy to do for a normal person were extremely hard for her. Just standing on her legs itself was a strenuous task which drains her all of her stamina!

And not only that but because of her disability, she was also a target of bullying from both guys and girls.

To be honest, Ye Xinxia was a top-class beauty, clearly and easily surpassing those tv drama celebrities. Her simple and casual glance was enough to make men infatuated with her! And that alone brought a lot of jealousy from the girls which led to bullying!

That’s why from the time when they were kids Mo Fan had always protected her dearly! He had not put her in harms way even once and always kept her happy.

Mo Fan turned around the corner and noticed Ye Xinxia. He was relieved seeing her, but then he saw two ‘INSECTS’ were sticking close to his goddess. His mood immediately turned sour.

“Come on already, we are trying to be generous by hanging out with you, so why are you stubbornly trying to refuse us huh!” A gaudy looking young guy with spiked hair said!

“Big Bro, that’s enough let’s just take her away” The guy with piercing got impatient and reached out to grab Ye Xinxia’s hand

“No! I’m sorry. I can’t go out with you two. I already have someone waiting for me.” Ye Xinxia remained firm in her stance. From the past 10min she has been continuously saying NO but these mosquitos just won’t stop buzzing around her.

Ye Xinxia no matter what was still a frail girl and being surrounded by two adult men was really utterly terrifying but in spite of that her answer to firmly refuse them didn’t change. They had backed her in a corner, her small hands were shivering, and she was on the verge of crying!

She was carrying the two water bottles in her arms tightly as they were for her brother who was without any complaints accompanying her for 3-4hrs straight.

When she saw one of the guys trying to grab her, she was really afraid and quickly closed her eyes in fright, “Eeek! (Brother Save Me!)”

She remained in that position with her eyes closed for a few moments, but nothing happened…?

She slowly opened her eyes and noticed a huge burly palm the size of her whole face was stopped in place just 10cm away from her!

She glanced at the person who had stopped the huge palm, and it was none other than her beloved brother!

“Brother Mo Fan! Uuh~” Ye Xinxia cried.

She was so happy to see Mo Fan that if she was able to walk, she would’ve dived right into his arms.

Mo Fan who had caught the hand before it touched his goddess, gripped it very tightly and slowly moved it away from her. He then got between the thugs and Ye Xinxia, shielding her from them.

Ye Xinxia was extremely happy, relieved & scared, she of all people knew how violent her brother’s temperament was! She clutched onto to Mo Fan’s shirt with both her hands!

Mo Fan glanced back at her for brief second before he focused on the scumbag in front of him again.

“Well well, If it isn’t brother Xu Bing! Pardon my sudden actions but my sister is not so frivolous as to let another man touch her willy-nilly, so I advise you to keep your hands to yourself!” Mo Fan said with a smiling face, but his tone and smile were extremely icy! It had lost all the warmth in it which was previously visible with Xinxia.

Mo Fan was extremely furious, but he decided to withhold his fury so as to not ruin his date. He wanted today to be a happy memory for Ye Xinxia and had also put in a lot of efforts to keep it that way, that’s why he didn’t explode on his enemy on the spot like he usually would.

Xu Bing whose hand was grabbed by Mo Fan was not able to shake it off! He was in pain, but since he didn’t want to act like a small fry, he didn’t show it on his face.

“Hmph, if it isn’t Mo Fan! Well, we didn’t know she had a company with her. I thought she was all alone and needed someone’s help, so we graciously came to help her, but now that you’re here I guess our help isn’t needed. So, we’ll take our leave.” Xu Bing quickly said.

His back was actually covered in cold sweat! Mo Fan had grabbed his wrist so tightly that his hand was all red!

_Aaargh! Fuck! Why is his grip so strong?! Damn! My hand feels like it will fall off!_ He screamed in his mind!

“Is that so, how very kind of you, Brother. Xu. Bing!” Mo Fan applied even more strength!

_Eeeeeeeeeeepppppp MY HAND!!_ He shrieked in his mind!

“Oh! I’m so sorry, you were leaving weren’t you! I shouldn’t hold you back now~” Mo Fan slowly released his wrist.

The wrist of Xu Bing now had Mo Fan’s palm print and it appeared a little sunken in.

“Kuhg! Let’s big bro!” Xu Bing grabbed his wrist with his other hand and spoke to his friend who watched everything from side-lines.

“You sure you don’t want to teach this kid a lesson?” He asked

“Not now brother, this kid is very strong we will need more people to do it.” He whispered.

“Is that so…” He glanced at Xu Bing’s sunken wrist and gulped in fear.

_It’s good that it didn’t turn into a fight, otherwise it would’ve ended in a very one-sided result_ He was a little relieved that he had not tried to touch the girl first.

_Hmph! How dare you try to touch my Waifu, even I had to wait and be careful around her for 3years before she finally opened up to me!_ Mo Fan spitefully glared at the two figures who were running away.

After scaring the thugs away, Mo Fan turned around and glanced at the small cat who was on the verge of crying.

“Brother… I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have lef…?!”

“Shh… There there, my little princess! You don’t have any need to apologize about anything.” Mo Fan had picked her up in his arms and hugged her just like a child while caressing her head.

Ye Xinxia who was so scared just a moment ago, now felt very safe and secured. She even wished to be in his arms forever and ever.

“Brother Mo Fan”

“Mmhm?”

“Thank you for coming to my rescue.”

“My pleasure!”

“I was really scared.”

“Yeah, I can tell, but don’t worry because I will always come to save you no matter what!”

“Mmhm!” A radiant smiled blossomed on Ye Xinxia’s face.
