Several messages crept in front of Rev as he dispatched the goblins that were harassing Kirito using [Mana Bullet].

Kirito and Rev killed many goblins while covering a large portion of the cave. While Rev used Mana to attack the goblins because he was without a weapon, Kirito assumed the role of the warrior and used his sword to battle.

'No.' Rev refrained from creating them into a skill because he wanted to practise his Mana manipulation every time he invoked a skill.

He was basically treating the game as a way to improve his Mana training.

He could save time by not having to repeat the entire backend process by creating a skill, but he would lose the ability to improve the effectiveness of his arts in the real world by doing so.

After slaying the goblins they came across, they continued onward until they reached a crossroads, where they discovered some of the priestess' party members' corpses.

They were all bloodied and naked. Everything was taken from them, including their weapons, food, potions, and clothing. Nothing remained inside their bodies.

Seeing the scene, Kirito couldn't help but feel disgusted as he closed his eyes. Rev also sighed seeing their dead bodies in such a pathetic state. Still, he was better than Kirito, as he had been a part of African Shaman Tribes where bloody battles occurred almost every day.

He went near the corpses and counted them.

"There are three corpses here. That means two people are missing. They most likely ran into either one of the entrances." Rev informed Kirito as he used Mana to create a dome of dirt to bury the corpses.

"So, you are saying we should split up?" Kirito asked.

"Indeed. That will be much faster than going to each cave one at a time." Rev replied.

Hmm.

"Okay then. Let's do that." Kirito agreed, and then he asked, "So which one are you going to choose?"

Rev looked at both routes for a moment and then activated his HPGLS2C, or Luck-Seeking ability, to check which of them had what he wanted.

'Everything is good about this ability except its fucking name. It seems as if a Chunni guy has named it or someone is really trying to troll me.' He couldn't help but grimace when recalling the full name of that ability. It really left a bad taste in his mouth.

He shook his mental head, and his eyes glowed in heterochrome, with one glowing in gold and the other in purple, as he saw the right route glowing in gold while witnessing no changes in the left path.

"I will be going to the right side. You go left." Rev said to Kirito as he started moving towards the right side of the crossroad.

Kirito suddenly felt as if he had lost something. He even had an urge to stop Rev from entering the right side but refrained himself, as he was the one who asked him to choose in the first place.

Soon, they went their separate ways.

Rev continued to move at a steady pace when suddenly...

ARRGH!

He heard a scream.

'They are near.' He immediately concluded, and his speed increased drastically.

He swiftly moved and drew closer to the location of the priestess.

Losing all hope of getting away from the fate of rape by those damn goblins, the priestess closed her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks.

She surrendered herself to her terrible future when suddenly...

Whoosh!

Teuchk!

[Mana Bullet.]

She heard a voice as the goblin that was trying to shred apart her panty suddenly fell down.

Thud!

Dead.

The goblin was dead!

This alerted the other goblins and the hobgoblin, but before they even realised what was happening,

[Multiply.]

Teuchk! Teuck!...

Shriek!

Thud! Thud!...

They were dead!

All the other goblins fell, leaving behind only the hobgoblin, which was not dead but gravely injured as it screamed in pain.

Tap! Tap! Tap! Tap!...

In the midst of all this, a clear sound of boots tapping on the ground could be heard, creating a tranquil but lethal atmosphere for anyone watching this scene.

At the same time, the priestess opened her eyes to see what had actually happened.

'K-Kami-Sama!'

Her eyes opened as she saw the figure of a man who looked like he was the incarnation of god himself. No, to her, he was her god.

At the same time, Rev reached in front of her as he picked up the corpse of the goblin near her, threw it aside, and looked at the tragically beautiful maiden, who was looking at him as if he were her source of living from now on.

'Well, she certainly is sexy, even though her height is merely 5.2 feet.' Rev mused as he took off his shirt, revealing his bare body in front of the priestess as he wrapped the shirt around her.

"You will be fine, my lady. For I am here." He announced.

The priestess looked at his glowing, bare body as if he were her knight in a shining 'body' who had come to rescue her.

"Thank you!" She muttered as her knight proceeded to princess-carry her.

To the priestess, the entire situation appeared tragically romantic, but to Rev, it was more comedic.

Rev stared at the priestess intently as he attempted to establish some sort of dominance over her. Naturally, he was successful because the priestess blushed and gave him a longing glance.

Shrieeek!

Meanwhile, the hobgoblin screamed in anger and tried to attack Rev, but...

Shing! Slice!

Before it could do anything, it was sliced apart by a flying sword that Rev controlled using mana. This sword was, of course, the one that the hobgoblin snatched from the priestess and threw away.

"My lady, the goblins are dead. Would you continue to look at me like this?" Rev said helplessly as the priestess continued to watch him without a care in the world.

"Sir Knight, thank you for saving this lady." She promptly replied, but she continued to stare at him.

Well, Rev had no problem with it. In fact, he enjoyed it, but he needed to focus on clearing this cave now.

'I have no interest in wasting time here anymore.' He thought as he felt that the goblins were really weak compared to the Zombipirewolves of Ghana that his Gilf masters made him fight with in Africa.

He carried the priestess and walked towards the corpse of the fallen swordsman of her party, burying it while the priestess sniffed and mourned for his death.

"My lady, please cast a [Heal] on your knee or else it may become dangerous." Rev glanced at the bleeding back of her knee.

"Sir Knight, I do not have Mana left in me." She replied with embarrassment.

Seeing this, Rev took out a Mana Recovery Potion and handed it to the priestess. He saved the Healing Potion just in case. Also, the priestess would be more useful with her Mana reserves active.

After drinking the potion, the priestess recovered her Mana and cast a [Heal] on herself.

"My lady, can you stand now?" Rev asked.

The flustered priestess had no intention of leaving Rev's carry and said, "I can, but I-I am scared. Please do not leave me."

Hmm.

"I see. So, my lady, forgive my rudeness." He responded as he tightened his grasp around her body while smiling in his mind. He was clearly aware that there was no way she was going to leave his embrace.

'So comfortable.'

And indeed!

The priestess felt really comfy in his embrace as she drifted into sleep.

After rescuing the priestess, Rev met with Kirito again.

"So, you saved her, huh?"

Kirito spoke with an uncomfortable expression. He felt as if he really had lost a good chance.

Shhhhh!

"Lower your voice a bit. She's sleeping here." Rev reminded him.

"Oh! I am sorry. I have discovered the main hideout of the goblins." Kirito briefed in a lower tone.

"That's good. Then let's go, shall we?"

"Yeah. Let's complete the mission fast."

With that, they began to march towards the hideout of the goblins.

The end of Goblin's Menace was near.
