Recap

*Flashback*

*3rd Pov*

5 year old, Suijin's father stood in front of him.

"Our quirk is special. It's been in our family for generations, now. Your nozzle doesn't work and that is due to the fact that, unless you are in a situation that puts you under a huge amount of pressure and stress. And only if you wish for it.

Will your body process this desire and unlock your nozzle? There's a metal piece that holds your nozzle still and prevents the features from working. It's not uncommon for people in our family to never unlock it.

Suijin raised his hand.

"So our quirks so cool that we need to be worthy enough to open it.

*Chuckle*

"Sure, you can think of it like that.

*Flashback End*

I try to unlock my nozzle.

'Open. Open.OPEN!'

And finally….nothing. My bodys back to being pushed into the crowd. The boy still chagrin half way there now.

'I'm still the same useless Suijin I always was.'

*3rd Pov*

Mezou Household

Inside the house, two people could be seen. Mezou Shoji and Akrai Shoji were both inside. Mezou had one of his hands on the door while his head was turned to the TV.

On the screen was a helicopter view of a chaotic scene. Rumbling, fire, and explosions could be seen. The news person reporting this was talking about the villainous attack. They mention a hostage taking place.

"You won't make it."

Mezou paused. It wasn't normal for the ever mature, serious Mezou to get so caught up in his emotions. He was perspiring, his eyes were looking around, and he looked strange.

"We live too far from the scene for you to make it in time." Akrai, Mezou's father, was also watching the TV. He would look normal if it weren't for the fact that he held 8 arms, 4 on each side where only one hand should be.

He's been in the hero business for a while. During this time, he met the love of his life, had a son, and soon would retire. He's always been level-headed when in serious situations, which was another good quality of his.

Looking at the screen, he didn't panic like his son was. He calmly analyzed the situation and thought of what could be done. He saw a boy who he thought of as a second son, though the screen being pulled back by the Pro Hero Power Loader.

Mezou calmed down slightly and became silent. He's usually called impassive, and mature by his peers, he couldn't help but berate himself for acting with his emotions clouding his head.

Akrai spoke again without looking at Mezou .

"Enkai and Erena are probably next door looking at the same thing. You're not the only one worried. "

*Pov Change*

Shimizu Household

As Akrai predicted, Enkai and Erena, Suijins' parents, were also sitting on the couch. Enkai donned a serious face, although a bit of worry could be traced from his eyes. Erena, on the other hand, was gripping her husband's hand so tightly that his serious demeanor was wavering.

Despite Enkai being a hero, Erena's quirk made her abnormally strong to the point that she could become a pro hero if she decided to.

Enkai's quirk was the same as Suijin's. Mutation Type Quirk, Spray Bottle, Erena's quirk only now started becoming noticeable within her daily life after 40 years of its awakening.

Her quirk enhances her body's ability to adapt to outside changes. Normally, this would be a highly valued trait that would place her among the most versatile heroes.

However, the drawback to it is that not only does the body require more substance for the more drastic adaptation, but that the adaptations can only happen when the body is shut down/resting. So, after 40 years, her body finally adapted to make itself stronger.

As to what stimulus started this adaptation 40 years prior, it could be any outside harm that caused a desire and reason for the body to strengthen, whether that be getting a bruise, falling off somewhere, etc. Erena glared at her stone-faced husband.

"DON'T YOU CARE ENKAI!"

Enkai would normally have no problem dealing with his highly emotional wife. They've been together for the past 2 and a half decades.

But the increasing amounts of pain he's receiving from his hand and his own emotions pestered him.

'Sigh, her quirk.'

Enaki loved his wife from the moment he met her. From her black hair and green eyes, she was captivating. Her cheerful and caring personality were what made him fall in love.

They've been through ups and downs throughout their lives. She impressed his grandparents when they were just dating, to the point that they tried to personally break them up, claiming,

"My new granddaughter deserves way more than a lazy, unfilial person like you."

He was kicked out, dropped off with bags and banished from his house in the middle of the night. He stayed in a hotel the next few days, chatting with his wife, who was being kept at her new grandparents' house.

A few days later, they called him and reconciled, The person who convinced them was, of course, her. But if he had to pick one aspect of her that he hated, he would without doubt pick her quirk.

'Adaptation, what a beautiful sounding and seeming quirk. You could adapt to become immune to many things, get skin as hard as iron. Maybe develop another organ. The only downside that the government and others see is its slow timing.'

But Enaki, being with the wielder of that quirk for so long, didn't think so. Although it was an emitter quirk, it was always active with the user only able to slightly alter what it was going to 'adapt' next.

His wife is sporadic, wild, and never lost energy, even throughout the years. But with taking care of a child, and with life weighing down on her, stress built up. Normal people go to the gym, play a game, or spend time on a hobby to get rid of stress.

'But she wasn't normal. Her quirk decided and reacted to the negative emotions that were weighing on her mind to find an outlet. The solution that was found was to put it on a trusted person, Enkai!
